Hi. I'm reposting this post that I put up in November. I've had no reply so..... I'm hoping someone will see it this time.
Hi. Is there a known problem with iweb 09 Snowleopard and movies? I have tried and tried to upload movies taken on my phone and camera to iweb since upgrading and simply can not do it. I keep getting messages like: http://web.me.com/jennycramer/Thingsto_show_on_the_web/iwebproblem.html
Can anyone help me out with this?

Firstly you might want to remove any special characters and spaces from the movie or image name - I see an apostrophe in there and some other things. The simpler the better.
Secondly, from looking at the error message, I see a .jpg extension. That's a static image not a movie you're trying to upload there (unless iWeb does something special with uploading movies that I don't know about).

Firefox 4 uses a new build-in home page named <b>about:home</b> with a Google search bar on it.<br />
That about:home page only shows some snippets and has a button to restore the previous session if applicable.
If you want a home page with extras then set another page as the home page like www.google.com.au or www.google.com.au/firefox as used in Firefox 3 versions.

Bluetooth
Car stereos with Bluetooth may allow you to pair a device that can play calls or music through the car speakers. Ensure that your car stereo supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile before attempting to pair an iPod with it.
Note: iPhone can also connect using the HFP Bluetooth profile because it uses HFP to make phone calls through your stereo speakers. iPod devices do not have this protocol (because iPod devices aren't phones).
You can check for the A2DP Bluetooth profile by attempting to play music from your iPhone through your stereo speakers using Bluetooth. If calls route to the stereo speakers but music doesn't, it might not support A2DP. Contact the manufacturer or refer to your car stereo's user guide to see if your device is compatible.

You have send the Pages document to people on Mac without Pages or to People using Pc's.
You need to export the Pages document to Word or Pdf.

No longer able to see reply or fwd message

Hello, I use Mail Version 2.1.3 (753.1) In the past, from my Inbox, I have been able to click on the icon showing what's been done to a specific message (reply or forward), and that would cause the actual reply or forward to open in its own window, showing the headers.
This is great if, say, you don't remember who you did forward it to, or what your reply was. Further, the window would also display the name of the folder that the actual message resides in.
I don't recall any recent software updates, but this behavior no longer occurs. Any ideas on how to get it back?

good thought! And I did, followed by the Import. Interestingly, the first replied-to message I tried to check got "Mail was unable to find your response to the message “Lupine”. You may have deleted the message." The reply was in the Sent folder.
I then tested the other 14 messages in my Inbox that had been replied to or forwarded, and they all worked flawlessly. So I would call that a successful resolution!

Can these forums NOT log me out in the middle of a reply.

This is becoming a daily event for me.
My work flow currently is something like this:
1) At the beginning of my work day, I review my e-mails and RSS reader for new messages to the Forums I monitor.
2) I'll usually find a couple to whichI feel I can contribute support.
3) I'll click on a link to fire up a browsers for a reply, since the e-mail reply feature is too buggy for my taste and there is yet any other type of replacement for NTTP type interactions.
4) Since it is usually about 24 hours since I last logged into the Forums, I am usually still logged in. So I click a "Reply" link and bring up the form to post a message.
5) During the time I am composing the message my 24 hour login period expires. When done typing, I click the "Post Message" control and boom. I am told I can not post a message. That I must login again.
Fine, I need to login again, but that message that I may have spent quite some effort composing is GONE! I can not click the back button to retrieve it because of the DHTML nature of the message form. The login process does not remember my post. It is just gone and I have to re-compose it after I login again.
This is just a really poor user experience.

I naturately clicked on the Use Recovered button. Unfortunately, this time I was not so lucky, for I only recovered about the first half of my message. Which was of course much better than nothing.

What did iTunes Support say when you contacted them ? If it's been more than 48 hours since you contacted them and you haven't had a reply then contact them again.
If you haven't yet contacted them, then to do so :
- go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
- click on your country's flag
- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
- then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Setting a followup for Sent email without a reply

Hi There,
I am using OSX 10.5.8 and Mail 3.6.
The problem I have is that I send that much email I often dont realize that some messages I send are never replied to.
I want a way to mark messages that I am sending, that do not receive a reply in a user definable time frame, to prompt me via a ToDo (or other method) to follow up the recipient(s) of the original email.
Or perhaps a script that someone has written that will allow me to go through by send folder and identify all emailed between date x and date y that have not had a reply to the send email.
Any ideas?

Each time it is run, the following script should delete the contents of a mailbox of your choice (the mailbox named "Unreplied messages" in the example) and copy into it every unreplied message of the "Sent" mailbox whose date is between a minimum date and a maximum date of your choice. I hope it can help.

Azure ADD / iOS Error while signing in - Reply address does not match configured reply address?

I have examined the code over and over and tried multiple credentials but they all result in this error.
Also, while we are on the subject, is there a way to gracefully fail and reattempt the authentication using the method outlined in the tutorial here? - http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/mobile-services-how-to-register-active-directory-authentication/
Just having a Cancel button isn't helpful, because it just shows the same page over and over when you click it.

I found the error -
I had the reply URL in the format:
https://todolist.azure-mobile.net/login/signin-aad
instead of:
https://todolist.azure-mobile.net/signin-aad
Works beautifully now.

I have the iPad Facebook Messenger app....it's stuck. I have tried the previous reply...did not help?

I have a IPad. I downloaded the Facebook messenger app. It worked for a while, but now it's stuck. I've had one reply ..To double click on the home button, which I did . Then I found the messenger icon...and held it down, to erase it. But it didn't work. Any other solutions ....HELP?

Contact Facebook and report the issue to them.

How do I edit my reply-to address in Mail?

Recently upgraded to Yosemite. Previously in Mail, I had my reply-to address as a different address from my primary account (I use a forwarding address from my alma mater).
I can't figure out how to do this in Yosemite.
Any help?

You can set a reply-to address for each email individually by using the steps in this article -
Mail (Yosemite): Address an email message
Specifically -
Set a Reply To address: Click the Header Fields button in the toolbar of the message window, choose Reply-To Address Field, then enter the address where you want to receive replies to your message.

Replied to icon in mailbox lists

Hi,
I've had this issue before, and been able to fix it, but now I am no longer able to fix it or find what I may have done before
In a nutshell, the little icon in mailbox lists that indicates that a message has been replied to forwarded, etc, and that links to that said reply.. is no longer linking to the reply for me. In other words, it used to be that I could look at my inbox and see that a message had been replied to, and then I could click on that icon to go to the reply. The link no longer works.
I have rebuilt my mailboxes and I have rebuilt the overall Envelope Index file, with no success. Any suggestions?

your Mail preferences may be corrupt. quit Mail and delete (or move to the desktop) the file ~/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist. ~ means your home directory. you can get to it by clicking on the house icon in the sidebar of any finder window or by going to /users/username.
then start Mail. you'll have to recreate all your email accounts so make sure you know all their settings. once recreated they will recognize their existing mailboxes. see if Mail behaves after that.
Alternatively, if you have a backup, restore com.apple.mail.plist from backup from before the problems with Mail started. Mail should not be running when you do this.

Sorry for a bit off a pointless topic, but lastnight I sent a e-mail to [email protected] asking about wifi as I need the login info to use it outside on phone/ipod etc as I lost the info when it came thorough the door.
I ain't got a reply yet and just wondering if you got the e-mail and if I can have a reply.

Repost: iOS 7 VoiceOver problem!

First of all, I'm not blind, but that does not mean I shouldn't be able to use VoiceOver in my own useful way. In iOS 5/6, I was able to type a note in Notes, triple-tap to turn on VoiceOver, and tap each line of my note to make the Siri voice dicatate it. This trick has always been great when we joke about Siri's self-awareness at parties with people who wouldn't know I'm using VoiceOver. Anyway, now whenever I try to get Siri to dicate a line of text that I typed, it would always say what type of text it was reading. For example, I type up a note saying "Wow, very funny". When I make voiceover read the line in iOS 7, she says "Note, wow, very funny". If i try the trick in a text body, she starts her sentence with "text body", and web searches and reminders and calendar notes all do this. Is there I was I can stop VoiceOver from saying what she's reading the text from. The only place VouceOver does not do this is on Safari articles. If someone can verify you can't disable this new feature, can they tell me when I can type text for Voiceover not to say what type of text it's reading.
I apologize for posting this again, but there was a glitch. My discusion said it had 1 reply when it didn't.

Not sure if this is it, since I do not have this active, and it would be easier for you to test what you are asking, but if you go into Settings>General>Accessibility and then tap on Voice Over, what happens if you turn off Speak Hints? I'm not sure exactly what that does, but it is a start.

Reposting in different period, document and Controllingdifferent currencies

When we do the reposting of a document by KB11n (which is having a transaction currency and controlling currency different), the new document is picking up the reposting dates exchange rate and there we are facing the trouble of getting different amount either in Transaction currency or controlling currency(as it is picking the new exchange rate of reposting date).
Have u faced this problem, if yes is there any solution to get the same amounts of the transaction date, again during the reposting time

Thanks for the reply.
1) The Additional info tab is not allowing me to change the Value date.
2) I do have a list of items for which the original dates are different for each document. If i need to repost them i would need an option to get their respective original exchange rates to be picked up for currency translation.
Please suggest me if there is any way out.
