Request alert

Hi, I am trying to write an alert via a shell script to search for a specific library cache lock that stops other programs from running.
My logic is:
1. check fnd_concurrent_requests to see if the request in question is running
2. If it is running, get the SID
3. Check v$session_wait to see the event that SID is waiting for.
4. If event = "library cache lock" then sleep for 60 seconds 5. Check v$session_wait again to see if event still = "library cache lock"
6. If yes, then email alert...
7. If no, do nothing.
and then cron it to run every 5 mins or so....
can anyone help get me going?
kind regards

Suggestion...if you are using shell scripting alone......(had done long ago, cannot find my script.)
Essentially, script stores the sid and the event into a file on the file system with a date and time extension (put that into a variable in the script).script sleeps for 60 seconds and records from v$session_wait again....Since you know the filename that was created (using the variable), compare the entries in the file and the current entry.... then email.Then go to sleep for 5 minutes....
Instead of a file, you can also do this through plsql and tables in the database.(have to store the date and time in a separate column to compare)

  • Site access request alerts are not being sent to specified email.

    In my SharePoint 2013 deployment I can't seem to get access request alerts working correctly. I go into the site permissions for any given site, enable access request and set an email address. When a user requests access an email is never sent to the address
    i specified. Because of this site administrators have to constantly go into the site settings and check if there are any access requests and approve or deny them. I have checked my Exchange server logs and no email ever reaches it so it appears the alert is
    never generated. Other outgoing emails such as alerts on libraries do work correctly.
    Please, help!

    I have a solution for you.
    Called MS Support and they told me that sharepoint tries to send these mails authenticated via the Web Appl Pool Account.
    So we started netmon to analyse this problem.
    There we found the entry:
    SMTP:Rsp 550  5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender
    You can solve this problem by authorizing the Web Appl Pool User to the SMTP receive connector (on exchange server):
    Get-ReceiveConnector “<spconector>” | Add-ADPermission -User “CONTOSO\AppPoolAccount” -ExtendedRights “ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Authoritative-Domain-Sender”
    Get-ReceiveConnector “<spconector>” | Add-ADPermission -User “CONTOSO\AppPoolAccount” -ExtendedRights “ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Sender”
    or (this is what we do):
    Add the IP addresses of the sharepoint webservers to the relay of the exchange servers (for this you must have an open relay connector).

  • Purchase request alert

    Hi Experts,
                     How can i get the alert message when any user raises the PURCHASE REQUEST to Purchase department? Is there any default functionality available? or should i need query for that alert?  I'm using SAP Business One 9.0 PL 5.
    Help me in this. Waiting for reply.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sai.

    Hi Sai...
    You can use the query for the customized alerts. Use the below query you can add the required fields in the query what you needed.
    Select Distinct T0.docnum, T0.docdate from OPRQ t0 where t0.docdate = CONVERT(VARCHAR(10),GETDATE(),110)
    Save the query in the query generator. Call the query in the alert management window, set the time interval and assign to the required users.
    Hope Helpful

  • AIR apps developed using HTML+Javascript

    Hi…
    I am working on Adobe AIR.
    And now I have 3 options to develop AIR applications 1)Flex
    2) Flash 3) HTML+javascript.
    But can you please explain me when do I exactly use Flex Or
    HTML+JS Or Flash.
    One of the reason I know is Flex used for Rich UI
    applications
    Is there any list of requirements for which one of the 3
    option is most suitable to use.
    And I have some more questions.
    1) Can AIR applications(developed using HTML+Js) invoke a web
    service running on a different server
    2) Can AIR application(developed using HTML+Js) detect the
    connectivity of USB drive (I have developed 1 application that can
    detect the Network connectivity and periodically reports the status
    I want the same in case of USB(plug & play) connectivity)
    3) I have one AIR application that has one HTML form on click
    of button I am posting the form Data to Java Servlet using
    “air.sendToURL()” as shown
    <script src="AIRAliases.js" />
    <script>
    function sendURL()
    var url = "
    http://localhost:8080/InvokingServlet/Registration";
    var variables = new air.URLVariables();
    variables.username = document.f1.username.value;
    variables.password = document.f1.password.value;
    var request = new air.URLRequest(url);
    request.data = variables;
    air.sendToURL(request);
    alert("Data has been added to Remote DB...");
    </script>
    The data goes to Servlet and then Servlet thru Jdbc
    Connectivity adds the data to database “MySQL” database
    named “user”
    If I read the data from database and print in Servlet it
    displays that to “tomcat server window(log)” But I want
    the data from Servlet to send back to HTML page where I can display
    it on the same HTML page where user entered his details. So even if
    I put the result into some Scope like session or request, but Can I
    read that it in HTML+Javascript page .

    This question gets asked about once a week. You
    can find my latest answer
    here
    and a little searching will dig up more opinions.
    quote:

    service running on a different server
    An AIR application isn't hosted on a server, so all web
    servers are "foreign" to your AIR application. An AIR app does get
    downloaded from a server, most of the time, but it doesn't maintain
    some kind of special connection to that server.
    Because of this, there are no cross-domain restrictions in
    AIR like you have in a regular web browser.
    quote:
    Can AIR application(developed using HTML+Js) detect the
    connectivity of USB drive
    AIR does not allow low-level system access, and has very
    little in the way of platform-specific capabilities. So, you'd have
    to use a high-level, platform-agnostic way of checking for the
    drive, such as by looking around to see what files are available.
    Things like USB insert notifications are way outside the scope of
    AIR.
    quote:
    I want the data from Servlet to send back to HTML page where
    I can display it on the same HTML page where user entered his
    details.
    That question isn't on-topic here. Ask on a forum dealing
    with JSP servlets.

  • Spry.Utils.loadURL problem

    I'm having trouble with the last parameter of
    Spry.Utils.loadURL.
    I know I need more info in the last argument but I cannot
    find good documentation on this. I can work out how to do it with
    form data, but not with data passed as a simple variable parameter.
    ANY help appreciated!
    In the code snippet below I am trying to pass a value to
    Spry.Utils.loadURL that will them be passed to resfunc as request.
    But I cannot work out how to do this.
    The function that calls Spry.Utils.loadURL works ok., I test
    that it is receiving the correct value by using alert(value). But
    how do I get this value into the argument list of
    Spry.Utils.loadURL so I can display it?
    function doFormPost(url,photoId,resfunc) {
    formData = encodeURI(photoId);
    Spry.Utils.loadURL('POST', url, true, resfunc,
    {"Content-Type": "application/x-www-form-urlencoded;
    charset=UTF-8"});
    function resFunc(request) {
    var mydiv = document.getElementById("foo");
    var result = request.xhRequest.responseText;
    $("result").innerHTML = "Result was: " + result ;
    mydiv.innerHTML = result;
    function HandleThumbnailClick(id, photoId)
    StopSlideShow();
    doFormPost('moon.cfm', photoId,resFunc);
    dsPhotos.setCurrentRow(id);
    ShowCurrentImage();

    Hi Kate,
    I think what you are trying to do is this:
    function doFormPost(url,photoId,resfunc) {
    // URL encode the photoId value.
    formData = encodeURI(photoId);
    // Build the headers object *outside* of the loadURL call to
    reduce *visual* confusion.
    // All we want to do here is to make sure that when we make
    the request, that the browser also
    // tell the server that the data we are sending in postData
    is url encoded.
    headers = {};
    headers['Content-Type'] = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded;
    charset=UTF-8";
    // Send the post request, making sure to pass the content
    type header and formData in the options object.
    Spry.Utils.loadURL('POST', url, true, resfunc, { headers :
    headers, postData: formData });
    The 5th argument loadURL is an options object. You can
    specify the named properties on this object that you want, for
    example "headers" and "postData". The names of the option
    properties you can specify are:
    username - String that specifies the username on the server
    to use when making the request.
    password - String that specifies the password to use when
    making the request.
    postData - URL encoded string of name value pairs. Used when
    the request is made with "POST".
    errorCallback - Function to call if an error comes back from
    the server after the request is made.
    headers - Object that allows the caller to send additional
    HTTP headers with the request. The properties on this object are
    the named after the HTTP property. The value for the property is
    the value to send. For example if you wanted to send this HTTP
    property as part of the request header:
    Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded;
    charset=UTF-8
    You would add this to your options object:
    headers: { "Content-Type":
    "application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=UTF-8 }
    userData - This is anything you want to pass into loadURL. It
    will be stored on the request object so that when your
    successCallback/errorCallback is triggered, you can access it. For
    example:
    var myString = "This is a test!";
    function myCallback(request)
    alert(request.userData); // Alerts with the string "This is
    a test!"
    Spry.Utils.loadURL("POST", url, true, myCallback, { headers:
    headers, postData: formData, userData: myString });
    I realize this is annoying that it isn't documented
    extensively. We are working on it.

  • ICal Questions

    Dear Guys,
    I have upgraded to Mountain Lion a week ago.   iCal has been so far a pain in the butt.
    1.   I have set iCal to open an excel file for me every morning so that I can record my blood pressure.  It opens the first day, but never opens in the following days.
    2.   The new iCal reminder does not allow me to SNOOZE for a specific time.
    3.   When I set a new iCal event, e.g., if I type "8/10/2012; 10:00PM; Lunch with Boss", the first part "8/10/2012; 10:00PM" will be gone.   I need to retype the thing again, then, it stays.
    All the above three things never happened to me before the upgrade.
    Any idea?
    Jimmy

    As long as we're addressing the woes of the 'new' iCal, I'd been using the app to launch Pandora (in Safari) as an alarm in the morning. Here's something I've found, which may or may not apply to your difficulties: iCal insists on displaying a desktop alert at the alarm time, and this seems to interfere with the requested alert of opening Pandora. I can't find a way to prevent the desktop alert from coming up. If I MOVE the time of the alarm manually (after it's been blocked by the desktop alert), it opens fine. The question is this: how do I stop iCal from providing the desktop alert? Nothing in Preferences seems to apply.

  • Port Forwarding Persists After Deleting Entry/Reboot

    I had ports 80 and 8080 forwarded to my file server that is static @ 192.168.1.51 for a brief time.    I removed the entries in my airport extreme.  It restarted and came up green.  The file server has a software firewall that was turned on over the weekend.   I received flags that inbound requests on 80 and 8080 were being rejected.
    Confused, I looked at the port forwarding settings in the airport extreme and the entries were gone.   I then power cycled the airport.   The inbound request alerts continued on 192.168.1.52
    If the port forwarding entry was removed, I wouldn't expect the server to see any more inbound requests.   This is confusing me.    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Jerold

    I havent't had any responses so I am going to document my steps here.   Maybe someone else will benefit.
    I ran shields up (https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2) to see if the ports were open and they all showed stealth except for port 21.   I did not have port 21 forwarded, but did at one time.   It acts like the airport extreme is not writing/updating the port forwarding table as it is changed.    Ports 80 and 8080 were stealth.    The file surver had upnp on, so I turned that off, but the airport still seems to pass incoming requests to the file server.   They are not responded to, but I get email alerts about the intrusion attempt.
    I thought the router was supposed to block these incoming requests.   Why would it be forwarding it to the internal ip and alerting the file server firewall?

    are not so "positive" feedback from kismet i think  ... is this normal?
    after this run i can see in iwconfig something changed:
    eth1 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"" Nickname:"Prism I"

    of course eth1 is deat (no connection to nowhere) :-(
    but thanx a lot for your help and the try --- maybe it's because i use kernel 2.6.1? (but p2p works on 2.6.1 fine)

  • Why "slow server alert" when NO running requests and NO open connections??

    The snapshot below says it all.  Why on earth would my dev machine with no running requests, and no open database connections, kick off a slow server alert?
    I will tell you that at the exact same time this snapshot was generated, my other two servers WERE hung and were reporting "Unresponsive alerts", and they connect to the same databases.  I am chasing down a chronic communication failure between our database and web servers where everything with a databae connection gets locked/hung at the same time every night, 7 days a week.  The hang lasts anywhere from a few mins to 40+ mins.
    Is this why my dev server would report slow?  And if so, is it the skimmers or what that's causing a slow server alert??  Would it only report "Unresponsive" if there were actual page requests hanging, vs. a "Slow Server Alert"?
    This is CF10 (update 12) 64-bit on Windows 2008 R2, IIS 7, connecting to separate Oracle 11g server.
    Thanks for any insights.
