Based on these sections, what can be said about the database performance?
My manager has asked me to provide the analysis so I think just telling him that "all is well" may not be enough :-)
Best regards,

Sorry I know this AWR was for 24-hr period and as such is not very useful. The DB is not OLTP but for batch processing.
I spotted one query that has "  SELECT /*+ parallel(ABC 4) */ ... ". Would removing the "parallel" hint possibly improve?
The new server has 16CPUs vs the old one has 8. New one has 128GB of RAM and the old one has 32GB.
Sorry but what is the "top n cpu" section you have referred to above?
I just ran two reports for 30-min period and here is I see for both:
3:30pm to 4:00pm (when I see high CPU usage):

Does this info gives better picture? I know this is a very very small portion of the report.

  • Feature request for the windows version section..

    Does there exist anywhere to raise feature requests for any future releases of MBSA?
    The additional system information section of the report, and "windows version", it would be useful if it could include service pack number number, as well as flag it as a vulnerability (red X) if the version/SP level identified is out of Microsoft
    support. That would be very useful.

    For request like this you need to go here to the itunes feedback page http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp

  • Request for Interpretation of insufficient bandwidth error

    To iChat Discussions:
    I have looked at many of the messages posted concerning the "insufficient bandwidth" error that I am receiving from iChat. I have implemented all suggestions and I am still having trouble.
    I am using a capable Quad G5 with an iSight camera. I have all updates installed with Mac OS X 10.4.6. I am using iChat 3.1.4 (v432).
    I always get the "insufficient bandwidth" error message when I initiate a video chat with the outside world. I can text with all buddies.
    I see the three test sites (appleu3test01,appleu3test02,appleu3test03) with green video cameras (multiple),as well the other contacts on my Buddly List.
    I am connected to a university wireless system. I can transfer files up and down at about 6 Mbps, so there is no bandwidth problem. The IT experts say there are no ports blocked and that all is well. I have the Mac OS X firewall turned off. I can video chat perfectly with buddies inside my building, but when I try to go outside, I get the "insufficient bandwidth" error message.
    Following a thread on the iChat Discussions, I captured an error log for iChat. I was hoping someone in the Discussions could interpret the log results so I could diagnose the problem with connecting from to the outside world. I annotated the log with some information about when I did what, starting the line with a /. I used the command
    /Applications/iChat.app/Contents/MacOS/iChat -errorLogLevel 7
    from the command line in a Terminal session. The error log follows:
    / I started up iChat and everything came up normally
    13-21-96:~ westfall$ /Applications/iChat.app/Contents/MacOS/iChat -errorLogLevel 7

    Quad G5 with iSight   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi Gary,
    Welcome To The Apple Discussion Pages.
    I see that you seem to have done the Quicktime setting
    094151.005637 Bandwidth based on QT prefs = 21474836
    094151.261284 BWD: GotBandwidth: 1618529/10814842 (up/down) @[35.13.21.96:255.255.252.0]
    094151.261318 BWD bandwidth: 1618 kbits up, 10814 kbits down.
    It is the IP listed here that worries me.
    You say you are on a Wireless connection to the University's service but you are showing a Public IP (One I would expect to see as part of the info)
    Has the Uni given you a direct outside line as it were ?
    Are you saying you can use Bonjour but not the AIM side ?
    Or do you mean that you can call out over the AIM side and get back to Buddies in your Building but not others ?
    I am expecting you to tell us that the set up is like this:
    Uni connection to the internet (Server or modem) <-> 1 or more routers <-> Wirless connection <-> Your computer
    With a domsetic set up you would have a Public IP at the modem. This may or may not pass that IP to the next device. At this point there would be a LAN set of IPs issued to the subsequent devices and computers.
    LAN IPs are in three groups of numbers
    192.168.xxx.xxx
    10.xxx.xxx.xxx
    172.(16-32).xxx.xxx (basically a subset within 172.xxx.xxx.xxx)
    The IP you show here is not one of those.
    It is possible that the Uni has decided to use there own choice of IP numbers for their LAN.
    However I would still expect to see two IP's showing up for you. One Public and the IP your computer has on the LAN.
    Can you tells what IP you see in System Preferences > Network > Connection method in second drop down and then TCP/IP tab ?
    I am expecting this to be a NAT problem.
    More info on how the Uni are routing you to the outside would be helpful.

  • Unable to securely request for a page

    Question:
    a) I'm unable to securely request for my webpage : https://127.0.0.1:8443/Blah , instead I get the following Error:
    Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8443.
    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
    On Internet Explorer I simply get:
    Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

    Can anybody please help me with my problem. Am I going wrong with configuring SSL?
    Thanks
    Krutika

    I did add these lines:
    <Connector
         protocol="org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11NioProtocol"
         port="8443" maxThreads="200"
         scheme="https" secure="true" SSLEnabled="true"
         keystoreFile="C:/Users/Krutika Ravi/.keystore" keystorePass="changeit"
         clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS"/>
    to the web.xml contained in conf folder of tomcat.
    But didn't fiddle with server.xml -
    After un-commenting
    <Connector port="8443" protocol="HTTP/1.1" SSLEnabled="true"
    maxThreads="150" scheme="https" secure="true"
    clientAuth="false" sslProtocol="TLS" />
    in server.xml contained in conf folder I get the following exceptions

    Hello b.krushel,
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities
    Any number of things could cause this issue, so I would recommend this article named iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999.
    These sections in particular:
    General Troubleshooting
    Make sure there are no current issues listed on the System Status that affect iCloud Calendar. The System Status is located on the iCloud Support webpage.
    Make sure you have fully enabled iCloud Calendar for the client you are using (for more setup and troubleshooting information on iOS, OS X, Windows and iCloud.com, see the additional details below).
    Check to see if the issue you are seeing is covered in iCloud Help. To search iCloud Help, visit help.apple.com/icloud.
    Check your settings and preferences as something may not be set up correctly. For example, having incorrect date and time settings can cause issues which are easily resolved by entering the appropriate settings.
    Troubleshooting Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion (iCal on OS X Lion)Note: For instructions on setting up iCloud Calendar with Calendar or iCal on your Mac, see iCloud Setup.If you are having trouble with Calendar or iCal on a Mac and you are using iCloud Calendar, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
    Make sure you are using OS X Lion v10.7.2 or later. Click here for help verifying the version of OS X you are using.
    Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com and iCloud.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in iCal. Click here for more information about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
    Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Preference pane in System Preferences. See iCloud Setup for more information about setting up iCloud on a Mac.
    Make sure you enter and update calendar information in the iCloud section of Calendar or iCal. Only calendars and events in the iCloud section of the Calendar or iCal Calendar list will be pushed to iCloud. Both Calendar and iCal for the Mac support the display of and interaction with multiple accounts and datastores, for example, iCloud, On My Mac, Exchange, Google, and so on. This makes it easy to create or modify events or calendars in a section of  Calendar or iCal that may not be updating iCloud. Learn more about moving local calendars to iCloud.
    In some cases, you may find that you have data duplicated in both the local On My Mac and the iCloud sections of Calendar or iCal. Learn more about resolving this issue.
    You can make the iCloud calendar your default calendar for all new events. In Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion, choose Calendar > Preferences > General, or in OS X Lion, choose iCal > Preferences > Generaland under the Default Calendar heading, select one of the Calendars under the iCloud heading. Close the Preferences window to save this change.
    If recent changes simply don't appear, try forcing Calendar or iCal to refresh by selecting Refresh All from theCalendar menu.
    Make sure your account was successfully created in Calendar on your Mac (or iCal). After upgrading to iCloud Calendar, you may need to quit and reopen Calendar (or iCal). To confirm your account is configured correctly in iCal:
    Open Calendar (or iCal).
    Open Calendar (or iCal) Preferences.
    Click Accounts. You should see an account with your iCloud member name entered.
    Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
    Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
    Remove the checkmark in the checkbox next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
    Open System Preferences and choose iCloud.
    Replace the checkmark next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences.
    Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
    Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • IBase When Creating a Request for Change in Solution Manager 7.1

    Hello all,
    We recenlty upgraded our sandbox system to Solution Manager 7.1 SP3 and are currently investigating the new ChaRM functionality with the new CRM UI. Our company had configured ChaRM back in 2007 and has been working very well since the initial delivery.
    While I was following the Request for [Change process simulation from RKT|https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000478022011E/index.htm] on our sandbox system, I had noticed that the iBase and Component that we have  created in transaction IB52 prior to the upgrade were not showing in our search when we were defining the Change Request Scope section. In the documentation that I have read leading up to the upgrade, there have been no mention of the iBase/Component data becoming invalid post-upgrade nor have I found a conversion process.  I have done a search here on SDN and on SAP Notes to see why the iBase and Components were not showing up.
    Has anybody encountered this issue since the upgrade to 7.1 or is there something I need to do in IB52 in order for the iBase/Component in the new CRM GUI?
    Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    yes in 7.0 it worked for me too, that is because in 7.0 ChaRM searched for projects based on the IBase you selected.
    If there were more than one project where this system is involved you got a pop up where to chose your project.
    In 7.1 you chose the project directly, instead of let the system search for you.
    And depending on what productive-systems are in this project you get your Ibase list.
    If you don't select a project at all you will still get a list of all Ibases in your system.
    Iif you ask the SAP, they will allways tell you that you have to have a productive system in your project, at least as you pointed out with a virtual system.
    I did not read i t though and therfore ca nnot provide any sources.
    This is all based on my experiences.
    Best Regards
    Daniel

  • Request for someone to enable "bootlogd"

    This is not a request for a package per say (hopefully it's simpler):
    What I am requesting is for someone to figure out how to enable a boot log file for Arch systems.  This means a recorded text file which contains all of the messages echoed to the screen during the boot process -- the ones that usually go by too fast to make any use of and then are lost forever.
    1) No, this functionality is not provided by dmesg.
    2) Most distributions have such a feature (eg. redhat, debian, ubuntu...)
    3) Some distros accomplish the task via a binary called "bootlogd."  Arch (at least my arch64 system) has this already (/sbin/bootlogd), though I have not been able to make it work.  I don't know if the issue is simply that I don't know where to place the call to the binary (though I know that inside /etc/rc.sysinit after the call to minilogd is *not* the right place), or something deeper.  But still I think it is possible, maybe just by putting the call in the right spot in the right script.
    4) The action that results from trying what I did in #3 above (putting /sbin/bootlogd in /etc/rc.sysinit after the call to minilogd) is:  After boot-up one finds a zero-size log file in the default location (/var/log/boot).  If you then remove the call to bootlogd from the sysinit script, reboot, and look in /var/log/ again, you find that the "boot" file is still there, only now it contains the shutdown informational messages (or at least some of them).
    5) On a debian system I believe the feature is provided using bootlogd, however they clearly have some files in place that Arch does not, so I don't know how helpful the following might be:  edit the contents of "/etc/default/bootlogd" to read:
           # Run bootlogd at startup ?
           #BOOTLOGD_ENABLE=No
           BOOTLOGD_ENABLE=Yes
    6) Regarding the man page "BUGS" section:  Arch does have the new-style console device:  "There is no standard way to find out the real console device if you have a new-style /dev/console device (major 5, minor 1)"  however the behavior I describe in #4 above makes me think that it is still working, just needs to be called from precisely the right location.
    Several people replied to my initial post(s) that this would be a desirable feature, so please help if you can.
    --> BTW, just checked a debian64 system... /dev/console is exactly the same as on my arch64 system.
    Last edited by djg1971 (2010-01-27 21:58:00)

    If your objective is to see all boot messages as they appear on the console,
    you can use this solution;
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dis … t_messages
    I would also rather have a log of boot messages into /var/log/boot but it seems there isn't a solution
    easily available from my searches so far.
    Maybe someone will post a solution here.
    Cheers

  • Request for sample reports developed using report designer

    Hi All,
    Request for sample reports developed using report designer.
    Thanks

    Ramesh,
    right now there really is no way to solve what you are looking for.  There partial solutions, but you will not be able to force a page break in a dynamic report.
    Here is what I have faced, and what I have come up with so far:
    I have a series of reports that have the same column heading, but spread over 5 pages in a fixed structure.  I need to be able to re-use the header and the general report design with 6 reports.  Here is my solution:
    1. Create an outline of the report.  I did all the formatting by creating a report section for each page.  You can force page breaks between the pages.  Upgrade to patch 1502 (came out last week) and you will see some new functionality (such as fit to page, page numbers, etc).
    2. Insert all you page breaks and do all the formatting.
    3. Insert an infoprovider.  Once in, you can just drag and drop the key figure cells into your formatted report.
    4. Create additional modification for formatting as needed.
    This fixes my problem (for now), but I had to do a lot of work to come up with this.  Also, the latest patch (1501 and 1502) has created an issue for me - there is a null exception when I try to use a variable or a filter value in the report body - I can't save the report.  I have an OSS message out, but our BASIS guys are going to be taking the lead on troubleshooting this.
    The reason that you are seeing some customers on the new pages is probably because of "how the cookie falls" - they just fit that way.
    I am trying to be positive and overcome the limitations that are in place right now. If my technical issue is solved, I would recommend upgrading to the new patch (1403 is the latest stable one in my opinion)
    good luck
    Pavel

  • Enhancement request for the jsp visual editor

    Hello -
    With respect to the visual editor, could the rendering of adf faces command buttons work the same if you use the TextAndAccessKey instead of Text to define the button text? In 10.1.3, using TextAndAccessKey will cause the buttons to render as either thin buttons without any text (but with 'normal' button height) or barely noticable 'dots' about the size of a comma. (When I see the "dots" it is usually a button in a table selection component.)
    With the buttons appearing "empty", I need to click around a bit and examine the button in the property inspector to make sure that I am working with the correct button.
    Thanks,

  • How do I AUTOMATICALLY generate Transport request for a Z table data?

    Hello friends,
    I would like to automatically create/generate a transport request for a Z table every time I change, add or delete data in that table.
    Currently, every time I modify data in the Z table, I need to go and manually create a transport request and then indicate keys for the row(s) which were modified. I find this a tedious, time consuming, and error prone process.
    So I would like to automate this process. That is to say, the transport request is generated for the rows that I modified. The same way as is done when you change a program. It automatically prompts you for a transport request thingy.
    Any ideas?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    You need to make the table contents transportable by creating a "table maintenance generator" in SE11 under Utilities -> Table maintenance generator.
    In that screen for the section "Dialog data transport Details" the "Standard Recording Routine" option should be selected.
    Then only will the system ask for Transport request when entering data through the generated maintenance view in SM30.
    Also change the "delivery class' in the table attributes to 'C' - Customizing table

    I have the same errors occurring at an alarming rate. I did isolate it to the App Store. Specifically when checking for an update. I was hoping that you could test this out for me. Go to your console log and select all messages and then check kernel in the sender box (bottom left). I found that now is a good time to insert a marker. Now launch the app store then got to the update section. Select check for update.
    Does this generate a series of the errors? I can reproduce the errors every time I "check for updates". The error would not show up when checking for updates in iTunes.
    I did notice errors in both extending from CFNetwork
    App store:

  • IOS 6.0.1 update still no fix for App Store Purchased section

    iOS 6.0.1 update still no fix for App Store Purchased section. Keep crashing after few seconds and kicked back to home.
    Does apple even aware of this problem???

    Hi, thanks for your comment.
    The steps that I have dines so far is similar to you I think.  I have all so tried a restore on all my devices running 6.0.1 and still nothing.  Have spoke to staff in an Apple shop and they were no help at all and kind said it was my devices that had the issue and nothing to do with anything at Apples end.  Have all s spoke to staff in a premium retail seller of Apple products and again, no he,o what so ever.    I think it's clearly a issue at Apples end with the serves sending out that data when request.  IOS6 is full of bugs and runs so slow it silly.
    I'm thinking that Android is the way the forward after all the problems I've had with iOS6.

    First of all, after the user fills out the form they can click the submit button and it will email it to their manager.  That part is working fine.
    The other button is the one that I am having trouble with.
    Once the Manager receives the request I want them to be able to click a 2nd "approve" button and make the following happen:
    A calendar entry is automatically created in the managers calendar for the day/days requested off.  It needs to be created as an All Day Event and Marked Private.
    An appointment invitation needs to be sent to the requester so they can accept and the day/days will be added to their calendar as well.
    An email needs to be sent to the Requester telling them their request has been approved.
    Here is the code I have so far.  It is in C#
    using Microsoft.Office.InfoPath;
    using System;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using System.Xml;
    using System.Xml.XPath;
    using mshtml;
    using Outlook = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook;
    using System.Reflection;
    using System.Net;
    using System.Net.Mail;
    namespace ITTimeOffRequest
        public partial class FormCode
            public void InternalStartup()
                ((ButtonEvent)EventManager.ControlEvents["CTRL10_2"]).Clicked += new            ClickedEventHandler(CTRL10_2_Clicked);
            public void CTRL10_2_Clicked(object sender, ClickedEventArgs e)
                // Get a reference to the Main datasource
                XPathNavigator root = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator();
                // Create an Outlook application
                Outlook.Application outlookApp = new Outlook.Application();
                // Get NameSpace and Logon
                Outlook.NameSpace outlookNS = outlookApp.GetNamespace("mapi");
                outlookNS.Logon("arochelle", Missing.Value, false, true);
                // Create a new AppointmentItem
                Outlook.AppointmentItem appointmentItem =
              (Outlook.AppointmentItem)outlookApp.CreateItem(Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.OlItemType.olAppointmentItem);
                appointmentItem.Sensitivity = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.OlSensitivity.olPrivate;
                appointmentItem.AllDayEvent = true;
                appointmentItem.ReminderSet = true;
                appointmentItem.ReminderMinutesBeforeStart = 5;
                appointmentItem.BusyStatus = Outlook.OlBusyStatus.olBusy;
                appointmentItem.IsOnlineMeeting = false;
                appointmentItem.OptionalAttendees = root.SelectSingleNode("//my:field2", NamespaceManager).Value;
                appointmentItem.Subject = ("Time Off Request");
                appointmentItem.Body = ("Date of request") + root.SelectSingleNode("//my:field4", NamespaceManager).Value;
                appointmentItem.Location = root.SelectSingleNode("//my:field13", NamespaceManager).Value;
                //appointmentItem.Start.Day.ToString = root.SelectSingleNode("//my:field10", NamespaceManager).Value;
                //appointmentItem.End.Day.ToString = root.SelectSingleNode("//my:field10", NamespaceManager).Value;
                //appointmentItem.Start = DateTimePicker.("//my:field10");
                //appointmentItem.End = DateTimePicker("//my:field10");
                appointmentItem.Start = DateTime.Parse("//my:field10");
                // Save to Calendar
                appointmentItem.Save();
                // Logoff
                outlookNS.Logoff();
                // Clean up
                appointmentItem = null;
                outlookNS = null;
                outlookApp = null;
                // Send Email Confirmation.
                SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient();
                client.Port = 25;
                client.Host = "sw-exchange";
                client.EnableSsl = false;
                client.Timeout = 10000;
                client.DeliveryMethod = SmtpDeliveryMethod.Network;
                client.UseDefaultCredentials = false;
                MailMessage mm = new MailMessage("<manager email address here", "//my:field2", "Your Time Off Has Been
                    Approved", "Your Time Off Has Been Approved");
                mm.DeliveryNotificationOptions = DeliveryNotificationOptions.OnFailure;
                client.Send(mm);
    Obviously i'm trying to get the code to pull in a lot of the information from the fields people have filled on on the form.  For example in the send email confirmation section Field 2 is the choose emplayee email drop down box on the form.  CTRL10_2
    is the approve button.  Field 10 is the day requested off.  The form has five lines to request days off on it and each line has a date picker to choose the day.  A text field for number of hours requested off, a Time field for Start Time, a
    Time field for End Time and a Drop down box to pick Sick Leave or Annual Leave.
    I'm having a problem with creating the appointment on the appropriate day in the managers calendar and then sending the appointment request to the requester.  That is where the code errors out.  This is only the coding for the first line of time
    off requests as well, i'm not sure how to change the code so that it will include all 5 request lines unless I have to use some kind of Matrix or something.
    I'm trying to get the appointmentitem.start and .end to pull from the date(s) that have been requested off but what happens so far is that when the approve button is clicked it just crates a private all day calendar entry for the current day on the managers
    calendar and doesn't generate the appointment request for the requester or send the confirmation email.
    Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.

    for the electronic form:
    since you're on Standard edition, I wouldn't recommend InfoPath... I'd start with standard SharePoint list (using attachments for scanned images)... if it needs to be customized, I'd use web dev approaches (HTML+JavaScript), since we've found this approach
    to be VERY upgradable.
    For the process:
    Assuming the process is LINEAR, I'd use SharePoint Designer with an approval process activity and a task activity (for AP). If the process is NOT linear, I'd look into a third party component like Nintex or K2 (you may find some people who say "just build
    it with Visual Studio"... don't. You'll regret it later, and the business will too).
