Request: Some response in the forums
I've noticed a lot of posts on broken installs, installation troubles, etc. are going completely unanswered in the forums. I would post my own issues with Fedora Core and SO7, and complete install failure of SO8 but it would be redundant and probably wouldn't be answered anyways.
So my request is that Sun actually answer some of the issues in the forums. I'm about to start looking for an alternative for my organization due to the lack of help / support.

I'm not sure about this, but can you check whether FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS.RESPONSIBILITY_ID provides you with the RESPONSIBILITY_ID of the user from which the request is triggered ? If yes, joining this with FND_RESPONSIBILITY_VL.RESPONSIBILITY_NAME can give you the name of the executing responsibility.

Some problems on the forums / Reward points
Hi there,
I just want to mention that I actually realize two problems with the forums / reward system:
1.) For <i>some</i> threads in a category overview, in the column "Last Post" in fact the initial post date is given. Nevertheless, the threads are sorted correctly, but it is disturbing. At this moment, this can be seen in Category EP (/community [original link is broken]) for the thread "Netweaver Developer Studio - SAP Enterprise connector error".
2.) Within my "Total points" overview, I realize that I got 6 points for my answer within this thread https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/collaboration.sdn?node=linkFnode6-1&contenttype=url&content=https:///thread/14351 [original link is broken], but looking there, all stars are empty.

How to unsubscribe some topic in the forum
Hello,everybody.
I have subscribed the discussion topic of this forum,I am delight that the other users would response for the topic which I have posted to help me.
But I found that the forum have send many topics to my email box everyday,and most of these topics are not relative with the questions I want to discuss with the other users,I must spend time on deleting the Email items.Therefore,How can I unsubscribe the topic which is not relative with my questions in order to tell the manager not to send those topic item to my Email box.If anybody can tell me how to solve it.

Your problem is light in comparison when I have open tickets that make it that I can not even get into the forums from my verizon or from the community url because of
numerous "redirects" just posting now with a browser that can by-pass the errors but weeks of being told our IT department is working on it, is simply ludicrous.
It was one of the first things on learned when I made web pages. I offered to send the dopes in IT the syntax for a proper redirect. Week three and still

Can I Get Some Assistance From The Forum Genius Bar?
Hi everyone,
I don't usually post here unless I am at the point of being beyond frustration when it comes to solving my issues, because when they occur -- they are always the ones that don't have a simple fix it seems.
The issue: I only use Mail to access the numerous (and I mean many Gmail accounts I have). Last night it stopped working, as in Connection Doctor I kept seeing smtp red errors and no matter what I did to adjust the settings, I could not get any accounts to go online. After messing around for awhile, I got the bright idea to delete all accounts in Mail/Preferences thinking that somehow I could just restore all the settings from a Time Machine backup right before the problems started. It would go through the process but when I started to see that it was copying things where they thought they should go, I'd get permission errors. Today it hit me that this is probably because I used to have a 15" MBP that I used Migration Assistant to transfer setting over to the MBP I currently use and there is something causing confusion. If I recall it was a Lion to Lion migration and then I installed Mountain Lion when it came out.
So today I got the bright idea to restore each mailbox individually. It appeared to be successful, but I got tired of it when I had gotten down to the last few accounts to restore the Inbox in because I also had a lot of folders with messages "On My Mac" -- and the way I had Gmail configured, each account had their own "sent" outbox/things were mapped to Trash/Junk/Drafts -- and it was a little too ambitious for what I wanted to do. That's the main reason I thought somehow I could just go back in time and restore everything to the way it was. Then I saw some things online about Time Machine fiddling around with permissions and doing unusual things. I did notice whenever I looked at the Mail folder in Time Machine, that I couldn't change the admin permission -- even though I'm the only one who uses my computer and my username had both read/write permissions as it is an admin, but the "admin" on the list under my username couldn't write and I couldn't change it.
I googled around and saw some people saying that they had success of using "cp - R" and all sorts of other things where you could go into Terminal to strip the Time Machine permissions so that they have no ownership in order to be able to prevent permission "errors" in restoration attempts.
I am not afraid to use Terminal, but I am not a genius when it comes to knowing all of its intricacies, but I can follow directions well. I'm guessing I will have to log in as the root user and do some nifty things?
So, can someone here walk me through using cp - R or any other successful method even if that means using a combination of Time Machine, Terminal, and casting spells so that I can restore Mail back to the way it was last night before it went kaput? I despise logging into Gmail online, and really don't want to add all of my individual Gmail accounts on both the iPhone and iPad which both connect to Gmail without a hitch (currently).
Before my eyes started to cross from my online research, I saw that lots of people have problems with Mail in Mountain Lion (among other things). I'm running 10.8.2 and everything is updated. My first priority is to get all of the messages back in Mail -- in each mailbox, and all the ones I had stored on my mac. If I can get gmail cooperative again where it will send/receive without a hitch is the next thing I'd like to do.
I did noticed that sometimes it looked like Mail did go to sleep from time to time, but it would always seem to wake up and check for new mail. And on the rare occasions where some of the accounts took themselves offline, I could bring them back on with no problem. Last night everything just blew up.
I know it's fully my fault as I should have never deleted anything in Preferences but at that point, I was just so frustrated and grasping at straws to make things work again.
I know the answer is probably not as bad as I imagine, so I will be forever grateful if someone here can help. Kappy or Linc
Oh sorry, all the Gmail accounts were set up for IMAP.I currently am using Postbox during the trial period because the frustration of trying to solve this ridiculous problem I posted about above was too much. Unlike most people, I won't rant and rave about OS X's decline after Lion and Mountain Lion as I never had major issues after upgrading to either of them. It's just beyond belief that the magnitude of this last problem being able to break an app within something that is just supposed to "work" that is beyond me.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who uses Postbox might be able to offer a suggestion or two about how to import mailboxes from a Time Machine backup as I would still like to have access to those folders which were "On My Mac" with all of the archived messages which were contained within each of them? I know that you can import from Apple Mail, but that's only if it is currently set up they way you want it to be. And as I no longer have those settings because I can't restore to the point before I deleted all the accounts, etc. from Mail in my frustration -- I'm sure I can't just point Postbox to some plist file to have it mimic my old Mail setup.

We are using HTTPS and SSL confined but man in the middle types of attack is happening here there using one tool based one there taking the Request and Response.The below given cookie are available in that request.
According to this , set-cookie: JSESSIONMARKID , JSESSIONID and MYSAPSSO2 values are user login time it will change every time are not.
After capturing above response HTTP/1.1 302 etc , when user gives valid credentials and logs in ,
and now ill give wrong password and wrong user id and on click of log on button, i can intercept the request and response coming from the server and when i replace this valid response stil i am able to loggin in to the portal , which should not happen as JESSIONMARKID is changed , server should not allow , but it is loggin in.Standard Login page also allowing to login in this case.
My server version is EP 7.0 SP 12.
Please suggest a solution so that if we restric the hacker at this stage , no matter he can never hijack the sesiona and login with invalid username and password.

Improvements to the forum search
I often need to search for hints on the jdeveloper forum.
I would like to suggest some improvement to the forum search
1) when i search with more than one word i would like to see only the results in which all the words appear, or at least to see first the results with all words and then the others
2) in the search results every thread should appear only one time, in my opinion

I also understand that this enhancement may take lot of server space .....but our bottom line for providing SDN Forums is to provide a Quick and realible solution to the members....!

A Funny Thing Happened on My Way to the Forum
I realize that there has been some work on the forum structures, with the release of a couple of new Adobe products.
Today, however, I cannot "Reply" to any of the forums. Checked that I am logged-in and I am. All I can do is "Bookmark," or "Return to Top."
I'll try a re-boot and start over, but wonder if anyone else has this problem. Of course, if they do, they can't Reply to this thread, can they?
Hope that it's an anamoly and not signs of things breaking...
HuntTurns out that what I saw was momentary in other Adobe forums, but lingered in the PE forum. JerryK got right on it and had it fixed.
In other Adobe forums, just closing those, and coming right back did not yield the problem, except for PE, but now all is right. Except for the recent slowdown... but that's another story.

Good idea about the new forum! I'm sure it will thrive.
EPub creation in InDesign has advanced by leaps and bounds. Last week I created a fairly heavily illustrated fiction ePub out of InDesign in "one sitting", and -- amazingly -- without having to touch the resulting ePub in an external editor! (This was a book that I had typeset for print in InDesign as well, so of course that makes it easier.) Just a little custom CSS, and some custom paragraph styles and object export settings. I think that's great, and thanks to Douglas Waterfall who is clearly doing an amazing job, plus is very attentive to listening to users' requests and ideas.
Avoiding the use of an external editor is in my opinion very desirable, and currently, InDesign's Achilles heel when it comes to that is the navigation pane. The navigation pane is constructed according to a TOC that the user has created in InDesign, but not everything can be created with an InDesign TOC.
On the most basic level, chapters in the actual ePub might be formatted as so:
CHAPTER 1
Trains
CHAPTER 2
Planes
CHAPTER 3
Automobiles
... but in the nav. pane, one would prefer:
1. Trains
2. Planes
3. Automobiles
As far as I'm aware, the only way to achieve that currently is by opening up the ePub after export with an external editor and editing the nav pane manually.
So if InDesign could offer some way to have more flexibility with that, and avoid the need to edit externally, that would be great.

PS And of course, some sort of live preview when editing for ePubs in InDesign is also crucial.

Hello, I am from a Korean institution. We are looking into enrolling in iTunes U, but are aware that our country, South Korea, is yet enrolled in the iTunes U. Can our institution still enroll and if so, what is the procedure? Or do we have to wait for our country to be enrolled in iTunes U first? We're surprised South Korea isn't listed yet among the 26 countries so far, considering how it's one of the more developed countries and also highly advanced in the technology field. Thank you!

Sorry, but iTunes U is not available to institutions in South Korea at this time. It is only available to institutions in those countries on the list. Why Apple has not yet been able to provide that service in your country or when (or indeed if) they ever will is something none of us here can say.

My follow-up question:
So then, is if there's a general standard procedure country governments have to follow in order to have the iTunes U service provided (ex. a site/online application on Apple). So in other words, if the Korean government were interested in enrolling in iTunes U, what would they have to do/what channel(s) would they have to go through? We are a government-affiliated institution so if we're provided the necessary steps, we may be able to forward the procedure along to the right government body that would be responsible for setting this up.
Any information would be appreciated, thank you!As I said in your original post, iTunes U is not available to any institution, government or otherwise, in South Korea. If or when Apple will extend iTunes U to your country is something none of us here can say, and Apple will not until such time as they're ready to make an announcement. What Apple's criteria and requirements are for being able to open iTunes U in a given country is unknown; there is no "procedure" that any of us here can state or direct you to that you could initiate. It's totally up to Apple, and if they are working on this, I'm sure they know who in the SK government they would need to work with.
Sorry, but you will just have to wait and hope that something develops in the future.

AES not reporting to Experian.
