Request stays in Authorizing state even after approval

I've been trying to debug this for days now and it completely breaks my lab - until it fixes itself after some random time and then breaks again
I created a simple approval workflow which seeks approval from [//Target/Owner] when joining an Owner Approval Group. The request makes it to the Group Owner, but when the group owner approves the request, it stays stuck in Authorizing state and the user
doesn't become a member of the group. The WF also remains in Running status even after the request is approved.
I've seen some similar problems around on the internet, and all seem to suggest Exchange related issues. I don't have an exchange setup in my lab, but I don't think not being able to send an email would completely break the approval process. Besides, it
does seem to spring back to life randomly and it all starts working again before breaking - very intermittent.
I've been messing around with the PS WF activity (which I use to calculate custom approvers), but I have disabled that WF completely for now and I'm just using OOTB activities and approvers.
Any suggestions on what the issue could be (apart from exchange)? There are no errors in the event logs either, but there are loads of exchange related errors/warnings which are expected. Alternatively, is there somehow I can disable the "feature"

Yep, the approval responses are generated but the request still stays in Authorizing with the workflow in Running state.
What makes this even more bizzare is the intermittent nature of the issue, it just seems to resolve itself after some time then break again.
One thing I have noticed is that the problem starts when I use my custom WF to add approvers to the WF dictionary - the first activity is a powershell activity which calculates the approvers and the next one is the OOTB approval activity which sends an email
to [//WorkflowData/Approver]. However, the PS script runs just fine, and the approver gets the request but after approval nothing happens (although approval responses are generated)

I have approved the above patches in WSUS and ran syncronization. The log wsyncmgr.log show that synchronization is done and even all child sites are syncronized. But I am unable to find the above even in the parent site. Checked all the SUP settings and
all the 2008 server updates are set and marked to download.
Please help me out on fixing this.

So you should NEVER approve anything in WSUS. This will cause problems with your clients. Honestly since you approved things in WSUS, I would uninstall WSUS and reinstall it, reinstall the SUP, this will clear up any issues that now exist.

Load step in Yellow state even after completion

Hi people:
I have a situation here with aprocess chain.
When the process chain is triggered,there is a load step which stays
in yellow even after the load completes. We tried to push the step
forward,but the chain wont progress. So,we had to do the rest of the
steps in the process chain manually.
Why does this hangover step happens in the process chains?
Can some one give a solution to this situation, so that we don't have
to do the steps manually everytime the chain is struck at the step?

Hi,
Check the status of the Process Variant in RSPCPROCESSLOG table. If the status of the variant is not 'G' then the process will not move to the next step though the loads complete succesfully.
In this case you have to change the status to 'Completed' (G)manually.
This could be done using the Function Module 'RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH'.
Provide the below details in the FM
1) I_LOGIN - Login ID of your process variant (you can find this in RSPCPROCESSLOG table)
2) I_TYPE = CHAIN
3) I_VARIANT = Your Proces Chain variant (Optional)
4) I_INSTANCE = Double click on the object which was struck and click on Backg tab. Copy paste the instance.
4) I_STATE = G.
Hope this would resolve your issue.

Websites stay open in background even after closing them

Hey everyone,
I've been having issues with firefox lately. Pretty much, it seems like Firefox is keeping websites open in the background even after I 'x' them out. For instance, if I start a video on Youtube and leave it running after leaving the page.. it will continue playing in the background. If I go on facebook, I will receive facebook messenges even when it's not open on any tab. The various plug-ins for firefox never close and I have to manually force-quit them or they hog all of my CPU. The only solution I have so far is to close and restart firefox more routinely than I would like.
I'm also having a problem with entering websites into the address bar. Basically, new windows won't work for typing in websites. The solution I've found is to disable ANY of my add-ons (it doesn't matter which).. then I will be able to use the address bar for that window.
I am using the latest version of Firefox. The plug-ins I use are:

Can we remain in the same stage even after clicking submit button? Also it should remain in the same stage only when certain conditions are met. For eg:
Condition : In Stage1, CustomFieldA default value is 'No'. To pass from Stage1 to Stage2 the CustomFieldA value should be made to yes.
Scenario 1 : CustomFieldA value is 'No', and I click on Submit .
Expected Result : should remain in the same stage
Is above result achievable in PS 2013? I am creating workflow in Visual Studio 2012, so can I handle this in the workflow?

FireFox remembering last website state, even after restarting, clearing history, cookies,cache etc. No other does this (IE,Chrome,Opera...)

On the website, after 3-4 login attempts and an error message appears. You cannot retry unless you exit out of the browser(s) completely.
I closed all FireFox browsers, opened a new browser and cleared Recent History will all checked. Closed the browser and restarted the browser again. Going to the website, the error message page is displayed and not the login page.
With IE (also Chrome and Opera), after closing all the browser window(s) and restart browser and then go the website, I get to the login page, not the error message page.
It sounds like FireFox is keeping something around (even after clearing everything out) and the website is remembering you in some way.

I used to have Firefox on my laptop and my favorite part about it was Adblock. After having work done on the computer, I reinstalled Firefox. No adblock so I reinstalled it. As for your question about Adblock Plus, one question in advance, please. At the upper right of your screen, just to the right of the search engine box, can you see the letters "ABP" inside a red stop-sign shape? This is one sign that Adblock Plus is installed. Similarly, under the Firefox menu item View, perhaps the fourth option down from the top, can you see Adblock Plus: Blockable Items"? It should be there. Also, under the Firefox menu item Tools, can you see Adbock Plus Preferences'? Finally, also under Tools, when you open Add-ons, is Adblock Plus in the list that appears?
These are clues to let us know for sure that Adblock Plus is actually installed or not, which will help others help you.

Why the Fibre uplink ports are down state even after giving no shutdown command at the interface

My Predecessors brought 2 CISCO 3750 switches and implemented LACP on these core switches. Due to looping in the network the Fibre uplink ports GigabitEthernet1/1/3 and GigabitEthernet2/1/3 are down (I think these uplink ports are mirrored in the LACP concept)
Please see below from the configuration.
I logged into the core switch and went to this particular interface GigabitEthernet1/1/3 and I gave the following command and still the port is in the down state after I gave no shutdown command. Do I need to give the same no shutdown command at interface GigabitEthernet2/1/3 as well ?

It is possible you are overloading that little 4215. If that is the case you should also be seeing "missed packet percentage" messages in your events.
How much traffic is your 4215 getting? Those sensors will start to drop packets for inspection at about 30 Mb/s.

UWL - Leave Request item still in UWL after approval

Hello,
we are facing the problem that the leave request items have still state "new" after the approval and don't change the state.
But in the list the leave request is not visible any more... so the approval worked.
I found the discussion: Approved items in UWL remains in the status "new". and Leave request workitem in UWL status update issue but that didn't help.
Does someone know what to do?

It is now completed and that's great. Unfortunately the items are still there. I am only able to see the new items in the transaction. The old ones are not visible but I need to delete them. Tomorrow I will ask some WF guru to help me fix it.
I also think that there is still a problem with the configuration of the UWL / backend WF. It could be that ne required jobs are not planned. I was happy that the UWL worked so fast but now....

Freezing PO attachment after approval

When a file is attached to PO, is it possible to freeze the attachment after approval? as the users are able to remove or change the attachment from PO even after approval. This should not be happened. Please help me to achieve this.

What type document you are asking? If it is Terms and Condtions attachment based on your profile values it displays. Users cannot change that document.
If it is document attached from Applications (like attachement button ), User can delete if user has employee and buyer setup.

ARQ: Manager/Role Owner can modify request details even after submitting the request???

I have noticed that after Submitting (Approving) a request, manager or role owner can still modify the user details (field are editable) like role validity date etc in a request. This is quite weird!
Although, after submitting a request by a requester, all field are disabled.
Has any one encountered with this problem? How can I control this?

Yes, I got it and that is why I got confused.
This EUP I have defined and the desired fields are visible and editable and seems to be working fine.
However, the problem is, even after submitting a request, manager and role owner is able to edit the values in the fields which is incorrect!
Actually, once a request is submitted, I believe request should be only display mode!
You know what, this is working absolutely fine with requester. Meaning, once a requester submits a request, then all fields are disabled and values in them can not be modified any more.
But I am not sure why this is not happening with managers/role owners.

I read your entire message, and my mom's iPhone 5 does this exact same thing. When the idiot at the AT&T store transferred her data (well, most of it) to her new phone, he DID NOT use her latest iCloud backup like he should have, but used some features in "Bump" to move things across. Once downlaoded, iTunes should have installed, and open once installed.
If its not open you can look for it in your Start Menu in Windows or Finder in Mac.

I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.
