Well it took me about 3 hours... But that's not really the point, if you had used the frugalware package it would have taken you 0 minutes to compile, depending on your proficiency 3 minutes to "fix" the frugal pkg to arch way. Still think it sounds better...
NOTE: I'm not suggesting doing stuff like this for people that don't know what they are doing(and you know who you are...) but for those of us who do I can't understand why anyone would spend time compiling and having a slow computer while doing it too...

Transport request not releasing

While releasing transport request it takes more than 24 hours but still
not yet released. task has been released. Other requests are releasing and importing going fine. but one request is taking time.

Transport Error: Request in "Release Started" state

Hi all,
I released a request & the release was cancelled due to some issues. Sub-tasks of the request is released but the main request is still in Release Started state.
Now I am not able to assign the objects contained in that request into a new request. The system displays a msg " Object locked by a request in with Release Started state".
Is there a way to unlock these objects from this request?
The system is not letting me to delete this request as well.

If the object is locked by another requets,
Go to Se09.
Check in the released or modifiable requests in the Request Status Tab,and click on the Display button,
Now see the request that is locking ur Objects. select it and thin the menu bar,,,beside the recycle bin,,u will find the CHANGE OWNER button in the form of double arrow...and that will change the owner to ur ID.now u delete that request,,

Go to SE24 and open the class CL_EXITHANDLER, in the method get_instance, put a breakpoint on the statement
CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface
Line 14 and release your request and see if the BADI CTS_EXPORT_FEEDBACK is called.
I cannot check this in my system as i don't have any request to release.

Plug-in request to release memory in Photoshop

Photoshop has never released memory. I read about 10 discussions about it, with entertaining side-steps to virus scanners and video drivers, and it all comes down to the same thing. Photoshop does not release memory. As Adobe knows this since a couple versions back and never patched or updated it in a new release, it would therefore be great if some company could pick up the task to write a plug-in for this. Almost every serious Photoshop user will buy that plugin as the only other option is to buy more memory.
Just a little illustration for newcomers what the problem is. Here's what Photoshop uses according to the task manager:
start Photoshop -> 110mb
open a 2.65gb psb -> 7975mb
close the 2.65gb psb -> still 7975mb
open a different 2.07gb psb -> 10106mb and any edit goes tedious slow because it is partly scratching because it did not release the memory when closing the 2.65gb file. The only solution was that I had to restart Photoshop after I closed the first psb. This is by the way with 16gb ram on win 7 64, where photoshop is assigned 10gb (67%).
The same thing happens if you Automate a Batch because with every opened file the memory never is given back until Photoshop ends up on the scratch disc slowing down to about one third the original speed if it isn't slower.
Anyway, I really hope there are some talented coders out there, using Photoshop, who would want to developer a plug-in. I have 16gb ram in my computer and the only program that uses that is Photoshop. I would have never upgraded my ram if Photoshop released memory.

Why do you think it needs to work differently than it does? What specific problem are you having?
If you want the best possible Photoshop performance, having it allocate then reuse its own memory (without deallocation) is more efficient than returning it to the operating system, then requesting it again later. It doesn't sound right at first, but the Adobe engineer Chris Cox has said that they've explicitly tried it the other way and it just doesn't work as well. Your basic assumption (that Photoshop is doing something wrong) is simply flawed.
Now, if you need your system to be doing a number of RAM-intensive things at the same time, including Photoshop, you have to outfit it with sufficient RAM that it can work with Photoshop using all that you have allowed (in the Performance preferences) PLUS the other RAM usage you anticipate. In reality, few folks use multiple applications simultaneously that are all RAM-intensive, and those who do simply buy huge amounts of it. I personally outfitted my system with 48GB and it's never starved for RAM (and I do multitask a lot).
There's little hope for a plug-in that will cause Photoshop to release all of its RAM. The only way I know of for a plug-in to affect Photoshop's memory usage, and that is to provide a large (up to 2GB because it's a signed 32 bit field) estimate of how much RAM a plug-in will need in the gFilterRecord->bufferSpace field. That field is 32 bits no matter whether the 32 bit or 64 bit Photoshop is running, so the most a plug-in could possibly ask Photoshop to release (indirectly) is 2GB.

Some requests were created with no target system and were released.
these requests are to be transported to our Production System.
Is there any other way to transport these requests?
things I tried.
1. I tried to find the files in Cofile and datafile but could not find in trans folder.
2. tried to add the objects to new requests but facing problem while adding the key to the request.

Hi,
you have created the requests as local requests, it means you haven't mentioned Target system it will be treated as local requests so it wont create Cofiles and Datafiles.
and you can use the option Transport of copies and check. actually u can't change the request from the Rleased to Unreleased.
you have to create new request that's the only way if your not able to copy the objects to the new request or if the transport of copies wont work.

Just follow these steps,
1)Go to the Update Rule and Double click on the Rule.
2)Click on Extras->Object Directory Entery>In hte Heading u can c Object.
3)This Objectr has Detials>R3TRUPDR-->Tech Name of Update Rule
4)Come to SE03
5)Come to Eiight Row-8 and Enter UPDR in the 3 Column adn the Tech Name in the 4 Column,TICK it and Execute
Now it will display when and all it gpot transported.
Similarly u can do it for Objects like MPRO for Multiprovider,ODSO for DSO,ETC

you can define document classes in IMG > SD > Basic Funcs > Cred Mgmt/Risk Mgmt Settings > Maintain Authorizations.
under this tree, you will find Define Document Value Classes, Maintain Document Value Classes and Maintain Authorizations.
you can define document value classes, then assign values to the document value classes. example would be:
1) document value class: Z01; document value: $10,000.00
2) document value class: Z02; document value: $50,000.00
you then assign this to the user profile using PFCG. look under object T-ED01014500. specify the activity (create, change, display, etc.) and the document value class (maybe Z01 for user AA1, Z02 for user BB2).
now AA1 can only process sales documents with value up to $10,000.00. if the maximum value for auto release is 10,000.00, then no further release is necessary for AA1. however, the downside is that AA1 cannot process documents with value above this value, which throws the burden to BB2.
BB2, meanwhile, who is authorized to release orders up to 50,000.00 can process amounts higher than 10,000.00 up to 50,000.00. again, no further action is necessary.

Check for your user name and then press "Display" button. You will get the list of TPR created. Here you release the child request first and then the parent request.
Basis consultants do the rest in STMS and then import the changes into the Target Client through SE10.

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but ...
Ive been having problems with the 0.9.50 version of wine which is currently in the extra repo.
Steam doesn't seem to work, so today i quickly tested the 0.9.51 version which i made myself and everything is working fine again.
I know it has been flagged as out of date, but i just wanted to know if there are any plans to update it anytime soon?
Or if its just me with the 0.9.50 problem with steam.

Today I made a personal repository that can be used by everyone and I packaged the latest wine.
The wine version in the official repository have some bugs that I resolved, I think
All fonts are compiled with my package...
The repository:

It is possible that pacman installs the package of the official repository, to solve this:
pacman -S elwario91/wine
Or put my repository before the others but it's not the best solution
