I have Web Apllication server 3.0, and developer 2.0, i want o
make my application I.P. bound. my cleint will access my fmx file
through browser. i want to ensure that particular cleint should
come though specific I.P..
Looking out for something like USERNAME, or PASSWORD like thing
in get_application_property. have also thouroughly seen v$session
table.

Not possible unless you can figure out if javascript (or
something) can get the IP address and pass it into the form as a
parameter. There is an enhnacement request to see if this
functionality can be added, it is not yet (including Developer
6).

Instant Client with ADO on VBA -- Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)' -

VB 6.0 uses Instant Client and Win XP Pro sp2 operating system. The MDAC has been checked and it is 2.8 sp1.
The same project works on Win 2000 pro.
Installing the run-time, thick, client makes the application work.
We are getting the following error:
Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)';
Oracle error occurred, but error message could not be retrieved from Oracle.
Any ideas?
We have tried privleges, ORACLE_HOME variable, all kinds of things. Bring us your suggestions we are weary.....

It looks like some sort of overflow. Instant Client does not support ADO.NET yet, if that is what is causing the problem. I hope that helps.

System requirement for the LV and VISA run-time library

My application built from LV8.2.1 didn't run on the old-fashioned notebook, which was under XP and 256 RAM.
(The application was tested successfully in several times in other computer.)
In the only first running, there was no problem.
But after that, the application executed "twice" and one of two couldn't be removed even in Windows Task Manager.
(I had to switch off the computer for restarting PC)
However, I am not sure if this problem is a kind of the library's bug but suspect the out-of-fashioned notebook.
What's the minimum system requirement for the LV run-time library and VISA runtime library of version 8.2.1?
Or any other check points?

Thank you, falkpl and smercurio_fc.
Of course, my application and the libraries have no problem in other computers.
There were no error messages but it seemed not to run normally.
My application had to show a status message prior to a VISA routine, but only a blank in the status control.
When I click the application one time, the application was not launched.
Then the two same applcations were appeared in the second click.
One of two applications could be removed by the Taskmanager. (malfunction of the program exit button.)
But the remained one can't be exited by the Taskmanager or Exit Windows.
Maybe, I had better remove the XP and then try again.
Anyway, I can't understand the reason why any NI Labview developer remained in silence for this kind of postings.

US Address Cleansing Run time error

Hi ,
I am using Global address cleanse transformation for US address cleanse . while iam running the job getting the error like this
Transform <USA_AddressCleanse>: The directory type GA_DIR_TYPE_REGION for group DEFAULT_CYRL contains an incompatible build id.
Please help me out to resolve this problem . My US address directories are SEP 09 direcotries..

With Data Services XI, some file in the reference_data folder are installed with the software while others are downloaded as Addressing Directories from SAP Service Marketplace (SMP).

If the directories which are downloaded from SMP are installed outside the default location, the following files will need to be copied to that location:

Run-time error "DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY" occurred

Hello experts,
SAP version :SAP ECC 6.0
DB : Oracle 10.2.0.2
After a local client copy we had the following error showing in scc3:
Completed w. Dictionary Errors
ICLPART FS-CM DDIC Error (See SE14)
In SE14 when i check the db object all is well but when i check the runtime object i get :
Hdr: Active runtime object and Active source has Inconsistent
and....
Fields: Active runtime object and Active source has Inconsistent
ASSIGN_GUID does not exist
Do you have any idea how to solve this

Note number is: 491022
If you get the above error in ABAP dump, then it could be due the backgroung job which was showing the status cancelled daily.
Just delete the job from sm37 and it should fix the issue.

My requirement is that the client wants to know the run time in seconds for saving sales order. That is from the time VA01 is opened and data entered and to the time the document gets saved. Is this requirement possible?

Thanks for your immediate replies. Let me be more clear with the requirement. The run time (In secs) must be updated in a custom table along with the sales order created. Is this possible? Should i have to create a custom function module IN UPDATE TASK for this? Can someone suggest me the steps to be followed please?

How to Install crystal run time programs with out designer.

Can anyone suggest me how to install crystal run time program with out installing entire designer software.
Is it coming along with CR software package, which we have to do custom install or is it coming as a different package.
Currently my client is using only the run time programs to trigger crystal report from VB app but developers have installed entire software for development. We need to figure out how this install can be done, as it was done long time before and folks who have done it left the company.
Any suggestion on this would be of great help to me.

Attempting to install Forms 6.0.5.0.2 (or 6.0.8.8.0) run-time and 8.1.6 client on same NT box.
1) I attempted to install 8.1.6 client first in c:\oracle\ora81, then Forms 6 in c:\oracle\forms6. The installer (3.3.1.2.4) errors, saying forms 6 does not support a multi-home installation.
2) Attmpted to install Forms 6 first in c:\orant. Then installed 8.1.6 client in c:\oracle\ora81. After beginning installation (application user) the following Dependency message displays and the installation is canceled: "Installation cannot continue for the follwoing reason(s). [Oracle ODBC Driver is a single Oracle home product. It is already installed in location c:\oracle\ora81. Oracle provider for OLE DB is a single oracle home product. It is already installed in location c:\oracle\ora81. Oracle objects for OLE is a .... Pracle Provider for OLE is a single home ... You can either de-install these products or install the products in the same location as the single home products."
Click ok and the installation cancels.
How do I install these two products on the same box?

We had to upgrade from 7.3.2 to 7.3.4 when we moved over to Forms
6.0.5.0.2 and it's working fine.
We are using Net 8 as well.

How to make a text field required at run time when the user clicks the checkbox ?

I got a form where , there are several checkboxes and text fields associated with that checkboxes.If the use clicks on the check box then the associated
text fields should become required.I have tried the change event and the click event for the checkboxes.It gives error in the onChnage event and I got some weird results in the on click event .Sometimes if the user click the check box , then for the 1st time the field doesnt become required , then the user onclicks the check box and when the user clicks the checkbox for the second time the field becomes required,but if i deselects the highlighted field option and selects it again the field becomes required even if the user onchecks it I am totally confused !!! Adding to it i have also written the wrong code still i achieved the desired result ?? How it can be possible . I am writing the codes below , please help me as i am working under a deadline from the client.

I used the onchange event and wrote the code for it. I got the result . But there is a problem.All these fields are in a table and it's a dynamic table where you can add rows dynamically at the run time .I have other change event for some fields in this table .All are working fine when i add the row.But for this check box the required fields are not validated as required at the run time . Loading assest at run time: are these on the client?

The docs say: "If you decide to access an asset at run time,
you can load it from the local file system of the computer on which
the SWF file runs", does this mean the client machine?
If so how do the assets get to the client machine? How do
they get to the user's network for that matter?

Run time error while logging from a client

hi all,
My server is connected to 10 clients. out of that 2 clients are suddenly showing error while logging.
Microsoft visual studio C++(error window)
run tme error
debug
error c:/program files/sap/sap business one/sapbusiness one.exe
This is the error window showing. I have uninstalled the client and again installed it but with no results. I found in the path mentioned above there should be the client run file "sap business one.exe", which is not present. I mean the .exe is missing. the file shows "sap business one" only.
whenever we install the client then i the folder
c:/program files/sap/sap business one
there is a .exe file. which is not being installed in this client machine. what is being installed is a
sap business one (not a .exe)
when the client icon in the desktop is made to run, the log in screen appears, the list of company and db appears. I have recently upgraded the server to PL 42. so when a company is selected for log in then the client upgrade message also appears. when "ok" is clickd the run time error appears.
where as all other clients are running well after the upgrade.
please help with a solution.

I have explored all the areas and I hope the problem is with the exe file only. Because I have tried an option. I copied the entire file SAP Business One (in the C:
Program Files\sap) from one client which is working to the client where the error was showing. Then the it started working properly.
But I donot think this will be a permanent solution. Because on reinstaling the client the SAPBusiness One.exe does not appear and to the best of my research i am quite sure that may be the problem.
Any idea from any one for a perfect reason.

Client view vi webpage without needing run time engine

I am trying to create a environmental webpage attached to a Labview vi where end user can browse the web page from their home computer internet. Problem is I read that the end user need to have the Run Time Engine installed in their computers, now this sucks. If the end users need to remember to install run time engine to every computer their visit, there will no business. Is there someway to bypass this?

Hi sunflower2772,
if you want to use the NI function of webserver, then you have to install the runtime engine (there is also a smaller one), the same as using some JAVA code.
If you don't want to do this, then you have to write your own webserver.

My Prompt back ground colour changes during run time in Client / Server Env

Dear Friends, 
 My Prompt of text items are changing its back ground colour according to the Text item's back colour during runtime. This doesn't look good. My look and feel of my application gets spoiled due to this. I tried with Visual Attribute (both prompt & Text item) but of no use. I don't want to use text label as I want to change the prompt during run time. Please help me.
