Required Fiedls Problem

Hi all,
There is a problem with required fields. We have two systems which one's patch level is 13 and second system's patch level is 15. In test system which has patch is 13 there is no problem about required fields. But the other test system which has patch level is 15 it says always "Please complete all required fields" error. But the field is not mandatory. I change fields mandatory status dynamically. When it is mandatory I change fields attiribute to 01. And here is complete code:
DATA: l_view_controller TYPE REF TO if_wd_view_controller,
        l_messages        TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF t_check_result_message.
l_view_controller = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
cl_wd_dynamic_tool=>check_mandatory_attr_on_view(
                       EXPORTING
                         view_controller = l_view_controller
                       IMPORTING
                         messages         = l_messages ).

Tab canvas with required fields (problem)

hi,
I am using tab canvas with 5 tabs with diff blocks.
receive
issue
adjust
return
view
some fields are required in all tabs.
when i run the form and in RETURN TAB and enter some data and click the save button the cursor goes to receive tab and focus the required fields with a message
FIELD MUST BE ENTER
same for issue tab also...
i dont want to enter any thing there ..
how i manage it

Not sure if I understand you correctly. You say some fields are required in all tabs, but also that you 'don't want to enter anything here'. Do you mean that the fields are required, but only if you're entering data on that specific tab? I.e. you don't have to enter all of the tabs.
If that's the case, are all the tabs based on the same block, or different blocks?

Importing stops, requires closing problem. (Captivate 4)

When restarting, still can't import, paste, or insert slides. Don't know if it matters, but seems that file size is less of an issue than file creation date. So far, it looks like old files work fine, but today's files crash (file sizes 1,700K - 80,000K). I appreciate your help!
Error message receiving: (pop-up appears while "Importing" window working) - "Adobe Captivate: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solutin is available." Only option is to click on the "Close Program" button.
I am opening the program as Administrator.

Since noticing this problem, have you also noticed that your file sizes were getting much larger than those of other projects? That was the problem I encountered. A project that was once 10,000 KB was suddenly saving as 84,000 KB.
To get around it, I took a suggestion from Rick (Captiv8r) in the Editing Forum: open a second instance of Captivate, create new blank project with the same dimensions as the original, copy the slides in the original, and paste them into the new blank project. I did need to reset the button actions in the new file, but it was a small price to pay for avoiding having to recreate a project. (Note: Importing did not work, I had to copy & paste.)
When I tried to import into this new smaller file from an older, bloated file, I still had the import error; however, if I did the copy/paste method to create a new file for the one I was pulling from (during import), it worked fine. I've only tried this on projects up to 67 slides so far, but most of my work is in no larger than that, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'm still interested in why this problem appeared so suddenly, but this workaround seems to allow me to finish today's projects on time.

Unique Alias requirement a problem.

Hi essbase gurus,Let me first say that I am new to Essbase, so the soln. to the problem that I will mention, could be really simple. I am using EIS 6.5 with Essbase and have a dimensionally modelled star schema (with surrogate keys for all dimensions).I am trying to load the calendar dimension hierarchy (Year, Quanrter, Month, Day) and am finding that the Aliases need to be unique. I cannot have 'Jan' as a member under two different years. I need to prefix that with the Yeaar to make it unique, but then you CANNOT do transformations on Aliases.You cannot do transformations to the OLAP Meta Outline as well as to the OLAP Model. How do I make the Alias unique then ????The only option that I know of is to create a view in the database and add columns that are a concatenation of Year & Month and Year & Quarter. Hope that is NOT the ONLY option.Please help,Amir

I'm getting the same billing error emails for my pre-orders. The credit card company is saying that the security code was submitted incorrectly. I think there's a glitch in BestBuy.com when they reauthorize the card after the first time. The system is either not sending the cvv code or sending and incorrect one. I know because i use the same card and instock games process and ship fine. Pre-orders started having billing problems a week after they are submitted. I hope some one at Best Buy.com addresses this soon. I may have to pre-order in store with the $5 down to make sure i don't miss out.

Help required - a problem receiving SMS from some ...

Is anyone alble to help resolve a problem with text messages to and from a land line phone please. Are there any long standing issues sending and receiving texts between certain mobile phone providers as I have been having problems for some time. I can send and receive texts to and from the land line between old style mobile phones on 02 and another provider. Some months ago a relative using Orange (I think) was able to receive messages from my land line perfectly OK and then suddenly received them with no message content. They contacted their provider who could not find a problem. During this weekend a contact using Virgin network has sent a text to the land line which I have not received at all. They informed me by email and I sent them a test text from the land line which they have received OK. They sent a reply back to the land line which again I have not received. They have contacted their provider who has checked all connections at Virgin and there doesn't appear to be a problem. Could someone inform me what is the likely cause of the problem, ie mobile network not recognising land line numbers as capable of receiving SMS messages, the BT SMS system, or my text enabled phone. I look forward to any suggestions. With many thanks.

Did you get any resolution to your problem? Sorry to ask so late after your post, but my mother has had a similar fault since March this year - she can send text messages to all networks on her sms-enabled landline BUT cannot receive replies from the Virgin/T-Mobile/EE group!
Virgin say the messages are blocked by BT - however after exhaustive tests BT say that the problem must be with Virgin! Virgin reply that they can "do no more" because it is not their fault, BT say they can "do no more" because the problem with BT Text only occurs with that particular network...
I have found it impossible to get either side to talk to each other rather than through me, so I am now preparing to involve the Ombudsman service in the hope that they may be able to at least initiate discussions between the technical experts on both sides.

The error I see is you did not specify the proper authentication for the smtp server.
In the Mail preferences for the account, smtp popup, select Edit SMTP Server List. A sheet will drop down. Select Advanced tab on that sheet. You should, I assume, set the Authentication to password, and set the proper username and password. That's where the poper would be set if 587 is not the one you should be using. Maybe it is. I only bring it up since I see it trying to use port 587.
If you got this stuff already set correctly then I don't know. Mail has a problem in your setup. Maybe delete the account and recreate it from scratch.

Problems with rendering a 16:9 project with Chapter markers to iDVD

Hi there
I'm having an issue where I'm trying to export a DVD for a client with chapter markers as it's required. Problem is when I put the project into iDVD the project squishes back to 4:3 ratio.
One solution that was on here was to use the Quicktime Conversion to create a 16:9 video however when I use Quicktime conversion I lose the chapter markers
I need to have both 16:9 ratio and Chapter Markers in the DVD how do I overcome this problem?

Anamorphicizer didn't work.
I can use Quicktime Pro cause I currently have Quicktime X on my computer (snow leopard) which doesn't have a Pro upgrade.
Any myDVDedit is really confusing to use do I have to export the DVD into a VIDEO_TS file to fix it? I'm still puzzled

DVD Player App Problems

Hi,
I have an iMac G3 running the latest Tiger with a FireWire External DVD drive. Whenever I load DVD Player, I get an error message telling me that a valid DVD player could not be located. What's the problem here? Any workarounds? Thanks.

Hi everyone, thanks for all of your comments. I actually just checked out Apple KB Article: 42727, which states that DVD Player will not work with an external DVD player under any circumstances due to licensing requirements and problems. But that's okay, I'll just get a third-party app that is not affected by this setup. Thanks a lot!

Outlook integration problems

Description of requirements: The problem with the SAP outlook integration is that the LoadBehavior in HKLM for the add-on is set automatically to 3 when outlook is started. This makes it impossible to control whether the add-on is
loaded into outlook by specifying the LoadBehavior in HKCU. We're wondering if this is possible to
change.
Business needs: The customer need a change in this addon so that the settings are set to each user and not to the server, as it is today. This is VERY important, so it would be great if this addon could be changed.
Current Workaround: They can't see any other solution but to change the outlook integration.
Proposed solution: Please read the description of requirements.

Several Problems with Visual Editor 1.1

I have installed the latest version of visual editor and also the emf and gef version required,the problem comes when i try to create a new Vsual class after i choose the property of the class such as name and so on and clicked finish My visual editor is empty.....the palette for visual component doesn't appear.
The visual editor creates a little window and duplicates it evrey time i click in the visualEditor page......please help me...i don't know what i have to do.... i tried the impossible but visual editr still doesn't work!

Problem Refreshing Dynamic Region

Hi ,
I am facing problems in refreshing the dynamic region. Here is the usecase :
One JSPX page : TestDynamicTaskflow.jspx
First Taskflow : LinksTF -> Has one page with 3 command Buttons and one dynamic region.
On click of 1st and second command button link tf-1 should be displayed and for third command button tf2.
Second Taskflow : tf-1 -> Taskflow has one jsff page with a inputText field ( required = true )
Third taskflow : tf-2 -> Taskflow has one jsff page with a inputText field ( required = true )
Problem : Click 1st command button and tf1 is loaded. Now enter some value in inputText and click commandButton2 ... tf-1 is loaded but inputText retains the entered value... This is what is issue .

the task flow is reloaded as you should be able to tell when setting a print message to be invoked in the task flow initializer. I assume the problem is with the text component not resetting its value. So its a JSF lifecycle problem, not a region issue. Have the command link switching the task flow, issuing
oracle.adf.view.rich.util.ResetUtils.reset(regionId_in_here);

Problem with Collaboration maintenance IView

I need a help or suggestion in Collaboration maintenance Iview requirement.
Problem:
When i am creating a room i am giving long description. But when i open this room in the room directory The description expands with a horizontal bar. But i would like to split this description into two to three rows.
like description.setWrapping(true);
I am downloaded the room maintenance par file. and i identified the jar file which consists of the source code , but its depending on so many objects.
Any alternative or help in the above problem.

this lets me assume that the generated file is fine. and that IE doesnt know how to open it, and that FF thinks it knows how to open it, but opens it "differently".
I'd still suggest to (re)install the newest SAP GUI
