Required InputText and SelectOne

Hi, would to ask if it's possible to fire the "required" validation once the user clicked on a button?
Currently, if we set the required attribute to true of an inputText or selectOne, it will immediately
activate or call the required validation.

hi sameera, I can't set autoSubmit = false because I need to render a different input text.
Thanks for the reply, but I think we already found the solution to handle conditional rendering of input text with required validation by using switcher.

I have one inputText and one selectOneMenu and I want if the user chooses any one of the combobox, the value will add in the text field. I tried it on JavaScript, and it's quite easy. But now I have to implement by using JSF.

I changed the string value in the function changeList. But the value in the jsp file didn't change. What's going on?

When you set the property in the bean, you set it in the "model". However, the page in rendered based on the data from the component tree, but from the "model" in your case.
You have to create a component binding for text field and change the value using it.

If your Apple ID was changed from your old account, you may have to change it back to your old account to be able to sign out and then change it back after that is done. Take a look at the article below for more information.

atm they sit on top of each other which is no good. Must I contain each item inside a form or something??

H:inputText and immediate="true" not updating cached backing bean value

Hi,
I am having a problem with h:inputText and immediate="true" when
returning back to the same page.I looked through the forums but the
only solution to remove the page from the session works only if I
don't have to change any button label names in the page I am going back
to.Unfortunately, I have to change a button name when I go back to the
same page.The button name change works if i don't remove the page from
session but then h:inputtext has stale values in it from the backing
bean.I also need to avoid validation as it is a huge form.
I have tried looking through the JSF forums but they didn't have any
answers for a very similar question.
I am not sure how exactly to use component binding for the input text and update the model values using an actionListener.I have tried puting a binding on an input text field and then used an actionListener instead of immediate="true' in the h:commandLink.But, putting context.renderResponse() in the actionListener method results in the model values not getting updated.
I have also tried using component.processUpdates(facesContext) as in the UpdateModelValuePhase class -that too doesn't work.

Details:
The <h:inputText ..> does not populate the values back from a backing
bean when immediate="true" is used when an action is called.
<h:commandLink id="selectPrincipalId"
action="#{application.selectPrincipal}" immediate="true">
Only <h:inputText has the cached values from the first entry.
<h:inputText id="principalLastName1Id"
value="#{application.currentPrincipal.lastName}" size="10"/><== this
has the cached value from the backing bean application.
<h:outputText gets the new values from the backing bean when the same
page is reentered.
<h:outputText value="#{application.currentPrincipal.lastName}"></h:outputText><==
this refreshes with the new value from the backing bean application.
Here is the solution to rectify the problem:
FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
ExternalContext externalContext = facesContext.getExternalContext();
Map sessionMap = externalContext.getSessionMap();
sessionMap.remove("/jsp/befg/tc/apply/enterCreditApplication.jsp");

Adding Index server to existing farm, "Server Farm Product and Patch Status" returned 34 Missing Locally required products and patches

Once I connected my new server to my farm's config db, it returned all of the following missing locally. I stripped out any redundancies and Headings, and I'm left with 43. I'm looking for a efficient strategy. Should I start with the lowest version number
and work my way up? Current DB version is 14.0.7015.1000. IIRC, SP2 is cumulative, so can I ignore the first two (SP1 and Hotfix), install SP2, and then the Language packs and etc on top?

Reboot

Rerun Config
STILL MISSING

Uninstall.
Re-retried, only got through the first couple:

Install SP1 officeserver2010sp1-kb2460045-x64-fullfile-en-us.exe, SUCCESSFUL
Install English Lang Pack oslpksp2010-kb2687462-fullfile-x64-en-us.exe, "There are no products affected by this package installed on this system."
Install Spanish Lang Pack oslpksp2010-kb2687462-fullfile-x64-es-es.exe,
Install SP2 oserversp2010-kb2687453-fullfile-x64-en-us.exe, run Config Wizard
I'm now downloading 462150_intl_x64_zip.exe, going to try and install it as step three.

I need check required elements and attributes in JAXB java classes , if there are any value for them place it , otherwise place default value in xml file , because of it I upgrade JAXB2.0 to JAXB 2.1 to support "required" in "XmlElement" , I read in "JavaWS(JAXB)Tutorial.pdf" that JAXB itself check required elements and attributes , if there are any value for them place it , otherwise place default value in xml file , the exact part of document is :

Based on my research, a drilldown report is a layout design that at first hides complexity and enables the user to toggle conditionally hidden report items to control how much detail data they want to see. Drilldown reports are used to change the report
layout interactively. So it wouldn’t affect the rows displayed in the outmost group. Though some rows are hidden when the report is initially run, it will still count them. This is by design.
Furthermore, if I understand correctly, you also expect the outmost group is a dynamic group depends on the drilldown action, right? As per my understanding, this function still cannot be achieved at this moment.

and also a green button saying "Get Flash Player"
I get this if using chrome or safari .
I can go direct to YouTube it just works.

The Facebook link to the video is accessing an Adobe Flash video. Unfortunately, no iOS devices can play flash.

You have two possibilities:
1. Keep Snow Leopard and your actual iPhoto.
2. Upgrade OS X.
If you want to upgrade OS X to get the most recent iPhoto, you can upgrade to OS X Lion or Mountain Lion. We are going to choose the most recent, Mountain Lion.
First, check if your Mac is supported > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs If it's supported, make a Time Machine backup and/or a clone with Carbon Copy Cloner, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. Does Tiger require ownership (and sharing) of wired printers on a wireless LAN? My G4 (Tiger) is also wired to the LAN, and can access all wired printers through the router. Wireless Macs cannot even find the printers.

Additional wireless Macs (Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion) cannot even find the printers. Yet, if the G4 shares the printers, then ALL computers on the LAN can access them. However, this requires the G4 to remain powered. Is there a workaround that would allow me to shut down the G4 and still use the printers?

Well, I am halfway there. Following your steps on the Snow Leopard MBP, the newer printer (a Canon MX860 inkjet) appeared automatically under the "default" icon on the ADD printer window. I used the IP icon with the HP Jetdirect-Socket protocol to find and add the older printer, (an HP 4000N). That required running a configuration page from the printer to locate its IP address. I printed to both printers through this laptop with success!
I then followed exactly the same procedure with the Mountain Lion MBP. For both installation attempts, I got an error message window: Unable to verify the printer on your network. "192.168.111" may not exist or is unavailable at this time. Would you still like to create the printer? If I click Continue, it creates the icon and name in the printer list. However when I attempt to print from an app. the next message says, 'Printer is unavailable.'
Why one laptop finds and uses both printers, and the newer laptop does not, just floors me!
