Required Value Mapping

Hello
I have to import Matmas into the MDM. I have already imported the lookup tables from the R/3-System. I want to have to use the Import Sever for the import.
However, the values of some fields are not mapped. It there a was to map them automatically??
I have several source files, therefore it is impossible to map each value separately.

Hi
I have solved my problem. I have to import the original lookup table information into the MDM. I used the information from another ERP - System. )

  • Import conversion data table from SAP R/3 into value mapping table in XI

    Hi:
        Somebody knows how to import a table with conversion data that are in SAP R/3 and to take it to a value mapping table in XI?
        The purpose is to use a mapping table that can change in the future. Must I use a ABAP programming that retrieve data and build the value mapping table?
        If so, how I specify in the ABAP programming the group id, the scheme, the agency and the corresponding value?
        Please, help me.
        Regards!!!

    Hi David,
    please refer to this section in the help: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2a/9d2891cc976549a9ad9f81e9b8db25/content.htm
    There is an interface for mass replication of mapping data. The steps you need to carry out to use this are:
    +Activities
    To implement a value-mapping replication scenario, proceed as follows:
           1.      Register the Java (inbound) proxies.
    To do so, call the following URLs in the following order in your Internet browser:
    ¡        http://:/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingReplication&bean=localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication&method=valueMappingReplication (for the asynchronous replication scenario)
    ¡ http://:/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingReplicationSynchronous&bean=localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplicationSynchronous&method=valueMappingReplicationSynchronous (for the synchronous replication scenario)
    You only need to perform this step once (for each installation).
           2.      Application programming
    The ABAP program must perform the following tasks:
    ¡        Read the value mapping data from the external table
    ¡        Call the outbound proxy used to transfer the data to a message, which is then sent to the Integration Server
           3.      Configuration of the replication scenario in the Integration Directory
    This involves creating all the configuration objects you need to execute the scenario successfully. One special aspect of the value-mapping replication scenario is that the receiver is predefined (it must be on the Integration Server). The sender, however, is not predefined in the replication scenario and can be defined to meet your individual requirements.
    For example, you can use the shipped ABAP proxies.
    In the case of the receiver communication channel, choose the adapter type XI. Ensure that you configure a channel for the Java proxy receiver in this case.
    Enter the path prefix /MessagingSystem/receive/JPR/XI for this purpose.

  • Partial match for Value Mapping in Import Manager

    Hello Experts,
    We have a import map which is used to do mass insert of data into the main table. This is done as & when required by the end user.
    We have a qualified lookup field which has a flat lookup filed as the Non-Qualifier. This flat lookup field is refering to a Lookup Flat table, which has mulitple dispay fields like Code,Name, Status etc. (14 fields in total) where as only the Code is the unique field.
    We have only the unique field in our source file which we use for the import. Since we have only a part of the display fields in the source, the automap functionality in the Value maping section doesn't work. It becomes very tedious for the user to manually map all the values for this field.
    Is there any way by which we can convert the source or target values in the import map, so that we can map the values using the Automap feature?
    Your help & suggestion for alternate approach is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Uday
    P.S. We are using SAP MDM 5.5 SP6.

    Hi Uday,
    No need to enable remote key mapping for QLT. Please execute the below steps(stated with an example) -
    1.  Among all the fields in the referenced lookup table, identify the lookup fields and the tables they are looking up .
    For eg.If you have a lookup field as 'Country' as one of the fields, look up table will be 'Countries'
    2.For the identified lookup tables, set 'key mapping =Yes' in Console.
    For eg, For Country Lookup table ,set Key mapping to 'Yes'
    3.Import values into Lookup table (Import manager)/ Remote key update -
    In import manager, select source (local file) and destination as Countries flat table.This Table will be haing 2fields - Code and description.Clone the 'Code'field and map it to Remote key field in destination hierarchy.Map code and description to equivalent destination fields. Select 'Code' as matching field > Perform import into lookup table.
    Check if the records in countries table are updated with remote keys(in Data manager> right click on a record> select 'Edit key mappings' > view key mapping for the record)
    3.Import to Qualified table/Auto value mapping -
    Now, in the import map for qualified import , map the source field and destination field (of lookup type), all the values of this field will automatically map.
    Similarly, refresh remote keys mappings for all the lookup tables first and then you can see auto mappings of values happening for the lookup fields.

  • How to read Group ID from Value Mapping Context in Cache Monitoring ?

    Hi friends,
        In RWB --> Cache Monitoring --> Integration Server (Java) -> (Search for Value Mapping Groups) in this each item is identified by Value Mapping Group (GroupID, Context, Identifier/Agency, Identifier/Scheme). Either we create Value Mapping Table in ID or replicate value mapping data directly from text file/SAP table etc., in run time cache, data will be identified in this manner.
        Now, our requirement is to delete a record the Cache for a particular context. Two operations provided by XI one is 'Delete' and another one is 'DeleteGroup'. When we use either of this, we should know GroupID. Suppose, I replicated some large amount of data from my text file in Runtime Cache. Value Mapping Table is like that IN --> India, US --> USA, AU --> Australia, EG --> Egypt. Now, I am required to write a program to get the input country code from user which is going to delete in the value mapping table like IN/AU....  For this, what logic we should follow in the program is, First we scan the value mapping table and find the record (country code)  which is match with the input. Then find the GUID value for this record. Now we use the DeleteGroup Operation and pass this GUID and then delete the record.
        So, in essence, how to read the GUID from value mapping context.
        Friends, Kindly help me to do this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jegatheeswaran P.

    Did you get the way to read group id?

  • Value Mapping in PI 7.0

    Hi All,
    I need to implement the value mapping.
    The mapping rule for the value mapping is for varius z tables like
    ztable1

    ztable7
    Can you please help me in implementing the value mapping ?

    Thanks in advance

    How can I come to know about the Agency and Schema to implement the Value Mapping?
    Check the blog # 5479
    From the blog:
    Enter Value Mapping Properties such as Agency, Schema for Source and Target messages. Any arbitrary string value can be
    used. But enter the Value Mapping Context as http://sap.com/xi/XI
    I am not getting which Value Mapping should be done for my mapping requirement,but I thibk it should be for the fixed value,but dont know whether I need to implement the Valume Mapping replication or not?
    If you give more details about your requirement then somebody may help you out on the approach.

  • Accessing values during runtime in value mapping

    Hi all,
    We have a specific requirement , where in we have a set of fields coming from the source system. All the fields have values expect few. The few which don't have values are reserved for future use, and for each source field there is a corresponding target value and we need map them.
    We have used value mapping here, but it doesn't work for fields which don't have values.
    We have thought of  accessing the fields which do not have values, dynamically or at runtime by connecting the database of the source system.
    Is it possible to do this, if yes, please provide with your inputs and alternatives.
    thanks,

  • Dynamic value mapping

    hi,
    can u plz explain about Dynamic value mapping and where it actually use this
    thanks
    guna

    Hi ,
    Dynamic value mapping.is nothing but
    It is FixValues and ValueMapping under Conversion Functions.
    Eg:
    You need such a requirement. Where the values in the source are mapped to someother value in the target as below.
    1--> Mr
    2--> MS
    3--> MRS
    FixValues is used when you know the entire set of Key value pair in the Design Time. You give the Key and the value in the FixValues and the mapping checks and maps the values to the target.
    In the case of Value mapping, you maintain this Key - Value pair in the Integration Directory and thereby make changes easily and also use them in the Mapping in IR

  • Value mapping.

    hi
    sdn experts,
    could you please explain about value mapping?
    where the value mapping is used?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Chinna Rao,
    Value mapping means mapping the data of some source fields to some target fields, in this mapping data can be transform in the format you required for your target system. You can do a value mapping simply by graphical mapping, using UDF etc
    Go thru this thread which talks about value mapping:
    Value mapping
    Value mapping : value mapping function to map different representations of an object to each other. You save the mapping rules for different objects in a value mapping table.
    we have two types ,
    And Value mapping is used to map different representations of an object to each other.

  • Value mapping : target value need to be blank

    Hi,
    I have a requirement like below (just example).
    Source                        Target
    A                                 Z
    B                                 Y
    C                                 X
    N                                 BLANK or ""
    When I did this using value mapping it works fine for all values except for source value 'N'.
    When the source is N then the target should have value space or blank. Is this not supported by value mapping?
    For value N, do i have to explicitly check 'if value N then make it blank'?

    > For source value N I am getting target as N though in value mapping I have mentioned the target as blank.
    This is standard behavior of value mapping when any value is not present in value mapping table then it return the input value as it is. So this means when you declare N with a bank value as result then value mapping won't consider it as an valid entry in the value mapping table. So now you have to take care of N explicitly.

  • Problem in value mapping in POSDM configuration!

    Hi Experts,
                              I am sending data from POS to POSDM. I hav used standard name spaces like GM store Connectivity, BI and Store Connectivity 2.0. I hav also done settings in ID . Made a File adapter and RFC adapter and RD, ID, SA and RA settings.
    Data from Sourse: GMTLogTransaction_out is going to the RFC :/POSDW/CREATE_TRANSACTIONS_EXT  .
    So I hope users can Understand I hav used standard mapping.
    Now the issue is in the source structure a perticular field called TENDER ID is mapped with Target Field :Tender Code.
    But there is a value mapping in between.
    The name of the source Agency is IXREtailPOSLogRetailTransactionTenderID  and schema is IXRetailPOSLogRetailTransactionTenderIDSchema  and
    The name of the Target  Agency is POSDWTENDERTYPECODE  and schema is POSDWTENDERTYPECODESCHEMA.
        And the Value mapping Context is : http://sap.com/xi/XI.
    The problem is I can see this , but I cant assign any value as it is in disabled mode in Messege mapping.
    Again In the ID I cannot see this Value mapping , which I expected to see and maniputale.
       experts, please tell me hw to I use this  manipulate / incert some values so taht the input when 01 becomes 3101 at output.
    If any doubts/ querioes, pls revert back.Please note , I am using all standard components in IR.
    Regards,
    Arnab .

    Hi Arnab / Abhijith,
    I am also going to work on the similar kind of requirement which u guys  have worked.
    Pos( third Party)->PI>POSDM-->IS-Retail ( Inbound)
    IS-Retail-> PI->POS( third Party) ( Outbound)
    Appreciate if you could help me with some clarifications..
    1) What transactions we can update to POSDM..?
    2) Does we need to POST all POS transactions first to POS DM and then IS-Retail ( Inbound).?
    If that is the case, once transactions posted in POSDM, does we need to do any settings to post idocs automatically to Retail system .. (OR) do we need to develop interface again from POSDM>PI>IS-Retail.( please clarify).
    Please suggest .. is it feasable to post only Non aggregated data directly to POSDM and Aggregated Sales ,FI , GRNs to directly to ECC.( Based on client requirement ).
    Awaiting for your suggestions.. Please suggest the best appraoch
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Value mapping in Syndicator

    Hi,
    I would like to syndicate my  source data to 3 remote systems.
    Could you please help me to how to value map for a field to 3  remote systems. like for the same field Phone if remote system ABC then it should P123 if remote system BCD then it should be H456 if remote system CDE then it should be K789.
    Could you please help in this regard.
    Thanks you in advance.
    Kiran.G

    Hi Kiran,
    As per your requirement
    like for the same field Phone if remote system ABC then it should P123 if remote system BCD then it should be H456 if remote system CDE then it should be K789.
    - What ever value you store in the field Phone in MDM  only that values will go to the remote system.So if your MDM data manger has P123 series under the phone field only this value can go to all three remote systems.
    - The purpose of the feature of multiple syndication to multiple remote sytems is in the case of consolidation of master records in case of duplicates.
    - When you merge records coming from 3 diff remote sytems into one record after identifying them as duplicate records
    ie for eg 1 rec is having phone P123 and the other is having A123 both are coming from 2 separate remote sytem as diff rec but in MDM they are identified as duplicate rec then we assign one of the phone number as global phone and this global info is syndicated to both teh systems.
    - For this in MDM syndicator you need to map two fields Remote key and value from source to destination
    - By doing this mapping the Remote system field will have the remote system name and the value will have the local phone number.
    What you want can be achieved using Assignment.
    maintain a field in MDM storing the remote system name and based on that name assign the phone key.
    Hope it helps
    Kindly reward points if found useful
    Thanks

  • Value mapping in the ERP system during IDOC creation

    We have a PI File-IDOC scenario.
    We can translate simple mappings such as currency or unit of measure in PI(7.1) using the Value Mapping function. For complicated mappings involving business logic (e.g. Tax code which is derived from multiple fields) we want to perform these mapping in the ERP (ECC6) system. Is there an approved generic SAP standard process where these value mappings can be done in the IDOC creation which is still valid when re-processing?
    e.g. a specific BADI or enhancement point recommended for these mapping?
    There might also be a requirement to add segments based on value mapping logic for example when a tax record segment is only required for a non-zero tax code which is mapped via business logic.
    Can someone please direct me in the right direction.

    Thanks for your answers but I assumed that using a user exit / Enhancement point was obvious. What I'd like to know is a generic entry point that I can estabolish a IDOC enhancement framework. Somewhere I can call a class containing methods linked to IDOC message types
    e.g. Call similar to my prototype (this will be where dependant on mappings certain segments will need to be inserted such as tax segments.
      ASSIGN control-mestyp TO <mestyp>.
        CALL METHOD (<mestyp>)

  • Accessing ID Value Mapping table in XSLT

    Hi Experts,
    In the XSLT mapping,I would like to access my value mapping table which i defined in ID .The purpose of ID value mapping here is, the table entries will be changing in future and i don want to use fix values, XML table  which is defined in runtime.
    I have gone through the blog
    /people/sreekanth.babu2/blog/2005/01/05/design-time-value-mappings-in-xslt
    which explians design value mapping table in XSLT.
    Is there any way to access Configuration Value Mapping table in XSLT? If yes, can you explain how should i achieve it ?

    Hi,
    you can use the xivmService to call ID val map tables.
    Use tha java function executeMapping, Its a standard SAP api.
    Declare the Service in XSLT at start
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:vm="com.sap.aii.mapping.value.api.XIVMService" version="1.0">
    Call the val mapping table using below template wherever required.
    <xsl:template name="ValueMapping">
    <xsl:param name="SenderParam"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="vm:executeMapping( 'SenderType', 'SenderTypeSchema', $SenderParam, 'receiverType', ReceiverTypeSchema')"/>
    </xsl:template>
    Call template like :
    <xsl:call-template name="ValueMapping">
    <xsl:with-param name="SenderParam">
    try it and let me know if you have any doubt.

      Maintain the value mapping using the option available in the Integration directory. The following values should be entered for maintaining the value mapping. In the XSLT Mapping use the Java function “Valuemappingaccessor”  to read the values from the table.
    Class ValueMappingAccessor
              This class is used read the Value mapping stored in the Integration server (Java Cache). Class has a method getValueMapping. The Class is imported into the SWC Eyyy_xxxx under namespace “http://xxx.ash.com/COMMON/Common”
    Method public static String getValueMapping(String srcContext, String dstContext, String srcAgency, String srcSchema, String dstAgency, String dstSchema, String key, Map inputParam, String throwException)
    Paramters     Description
    srcContext     Source context in the Integration server (Java Cache) under which, the value is stored.
    For example, if the source values are stored using standard Value mapping table in the ID, then use source context as http://sap.com/xi/XI
    dstContext     Destination context in the Integration server (Java Cache) under which the value is stored
    For example, if the source values are stored using standard Value mapping table in the ID, then Target context as http://sap.com/xi/XI
    srcAgency     Source Agency,  a unique identifying value,  value to be used is not yet decided.
    srcSchema     Source Schema, For example this can be source field name
    key     Source field value, that is required to determine the target, In the figure 1 shown below, We need to send ‘IN’ to get ‘India’
    dstAgency     Destination Agency, a unique identifying value, value to be used is not yet decided
    dstSchema     Destination Schema, For example this can be target field name
    inputParam     Mapping transformation constants, to write the trace into the header of the message
    throwException     An indicator to throw an exception, if the value is not found in the cache. If the parameter is set to “true” or “TRUE”,   an exception is raised & message fails in the mapping step of the Pipe line.
    Returns the value, that is stored in the Value mapping context for the given parameters
    If the value mapping is maintained using Integration Directory value mapping, then we need to call the value mapping function as follows
    If  it has to be called using XSLT Mapping., then the sample code shows how to use the java class the java class “ValueMappingAccessor”.
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:ns0="http://www.ashok.com/idoctofile/employee" xmlns:ValueMap="java:com.xxx.yyy.ValueMappingAccessor">
        <xsl:param name="CountryCode">
            <xsl:value-of select="ns0:MT_EMPDETAILS/Country"/>
        </xsl:param>
        <xsl:param name="inputparam"/>
        <xsl:template match="/">
            <ns0:MT_EMPADDRESS xmlns:ns0="http://www.ashok.com/idoctofile/employee">
                <EmployeeNo>
                    <xsl:value-of select="ns0:MT_EMPDETAILS/EmployeeNo"/>
                </EmployeeNo>
                <FirstName>

                </FirstName>

                </Address1>

                    <xsl:value-of select="ns0:MT_EMPDETAILS/City"/>
                </City>
                <State>
                    <xsl:value-of select="ns0:MT_EMPDETAILS/State"/>
                </State>
                <Country>
                    <xsl:if test="function-available('ValueMap:getValueMapping')">
                        <xsl:value-of select="ValueMap:getValueMapping('http://sap.com/XI/xi', 'http://sap.com/XI/xi', 'Canonical','Country', 'KCRS', 'Country', $CountryCode, $inputparam, 'TRUE')"/>
                    </xsl:if>
                </Country>
                <ZipCode>
                    <xsl:value-of select="ns0:MT_EMPDETAILS/Zipcode"/>
                </ZipCode>
            </ns0:MT_EMPADDRESS>
        </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
