Requirements Gateway and Doors Types
No Requirements Gateway board but am working with TestStand also..
I am pulling requirements from DOORS and I need to filter out a column but I cannot find a way to check that a column is NOT empty. I already made a DOORS advanced type and I am trying to edit the requirement field to filter out a column called Interface Name. I want to only pull in the rows where Interface Name is populated. I am currently pulling in useless information where the column is empty. I tried leaving the value blank and negating it to mimic a 'not empty' concept and that did not work. Any suggestions?
Hey cframe,
You should be able to do this by specifying that the object should have an attribute of a certain name. For example, this is the DOORS module for the basic DOORS example we provide with Requirements Gateway:
And here is an example of how you could configure the Requirement field to only pull requirements which have a Priority specified:
By specifying that each requirement must have an Attribute with the name "Priority", you are configuring the type to only recognize requirements which have a Priority defined.
I hope this helps, and please let me know if you run into any trouble with it--I'd be happy to help further if this doesn't solve it.

Requirements Gateway and TestStand
Hello,
This one is more of a RG question but there is no RG area to post.
I have a Word Document that defines the requirements for a test sequence.
The requirements are covered by both
1) LabVIEW VI's
2) TestStand sequence.
What I want to do is see what my coverage of the Word Documents Coverage is.
I've noticed that when I've added the TestStand sequence to my Req Gateway project, every entry in the TS document spawns a "derived requirement".
Is there a way to switch this off?
I want to link my word document to a place in the test sequence and say this is where I cover i.e. Saving the Data. I do not intend to link my TS Sequence with a Results File.
The annoying bit is when I look at the analisys view even though my Word Document is covered 100% there still is a number of uncovered derived requirements comming fromthe TS Sequence.
Thanks for any advice!.
Maciej
Solved!
Go to Solution.I re - read my post and it is clear as mud...So I'll try to be clearer.
Two issues I'm facing:
1) Linking a TestStand sequence to a Word Document causes RG to generate additional "derived' requirement for each of the TS items ( steps or sequences ).
I would like to switch this fuctionality off. I'm not interested in the Derived Requirements in this scenario.
2) Please see the desired structure linkage:
If I set up my project this way and I for example Cover 1 requirement in the word document in 3 places in the Test stanad sequence only I see the following message.
Requirement 'REQ_ControlMotorRPM' is not covered.
Error: Uncovered requirement
( Please see the Desired Structure png )
It would seem to me that Requirements Gateway ONLY allows me to Bind One Document to One LV Project or TS Sequence.
If I remove my LV projects from the covers dependency the requirements are covered fine and no error occures.
In my case I have One requirements document that is adressed by a TS Sequence and 2 LabVIEW Driver Projects ... I can't seem to configure this right.
So my requirements document has 100% of the requirements.
Some of them will be sorted out by the TestStand Sequence , and some of them will be sorted out by my Driver Projects , how do I configure RG so that one Spec is solved by 3 software items?
Thanks,
Maciej

Requirements Gateway customize DOORS Advanced Type
Hello, I am in trouble with R-Gateway...first of all i did not find a R-Gateway Board to post my question, sorry
I started adopting the "DOORS Linking Example" as follows:
-added a LabVIEW project as document with [Covers: DesignReq], PASSED.
-added attributes to DOORS Linking Example Req-Flag (which shall be used instead of Object Type) and Req-No (which shall be used instead of ReqID)
Now 3 documents in R-Gateway configuration: DOORS SRD, DOORS SDD and LabVIEW Project
-changed the SDD type from Object Type = Requirement and requirement ID = ReqID to Req-Flag = "R" with requirement ID = Req-No, PASSED
-changed the SRD type from Object Type = Requirement and requirement ID = ReqID to Req-Flag = "R" with requirement ID = Req-No, FAILED (SRD requirement status changed from "covered" to "not covered" Note: the DOORS Objects are linked with "refers to" links)
Trying narrowing...back pedal
-changed the SRD type from Object Type = Requirement to Req-Flag = "R", PASSED
-changed the SRD type from requirement ID = ReqID to requirement ID = Req-No, FAILED: again coverage lost
I can not figure out the problem. Hoping there is someone out there who is familiar with R Gateway i am looking forward to hearing from you soon =)
Thanks in advance
RZM
Solved!
Go to Solution. Here is Req-No displayed Here "Absolute Number"
DOORS uses the attribute "Absolute Number" as unique ID for DOORS objects. This attribute is read-only for all DOORS users including admins. I want to cover these IDs with [Covers: ReqID] entries in LabVIEW code. The reason is I don't want to rely on requirement numbers which shall not be changed. For example when SDD shall be exported for inital release a user might reassign consecutive requirement numbers for beautification.
For analysis and compliance matrix I don't want to use "Absolute Number" but the "Req-No". SDD object "1" has the requirement number "SDD-10". I know haw to display it in the attributes canvas located bottom left. How can I reference it with somthing like "$i" to display it instead of "$i"?
Thank you =)

Hi everybody,
I've been struggeling with this problem for a few weeks now and can't find a way to solve it.
We have an RD farm (Server 2012) which consists of two Remote Desktop Servers with Connection Broker and Web Access.
I've recently published a new server, containing RD Gateway and Web Access in our perimeter network.
Now we've got restrictions that OTP/2FA must be used for the external deployment and we've decided to go for a solution from Gemalto.
The "program" is called IDConfim and the server is called SA Server (Strong Authentication).
Also it's important that NO ISA/TMG server is supposed to be used, the OTP/2FA is supposed to work seamless with the Web Access/Gateway.
After hours discuss we came to a point were their NPS agent setup would be the only way to accomplish our goals.
The setup is supposed to be like this:
LAN:
1 DC (2008 R2)
RD Farm (2012)
1 SA Server (2012)
DMZ:
RD Gateway/Web Access (2012)
Were Gateway and Web Access should forward the authentications with NPS to the NPS agent on the SA server.
When you print your AD account to authenticate you add the 6 digits of OTP which you recieve from you mobile app.
Initially this seems to work, the Gateway forwards the request to the remote NPS server, BUT only if you write the correct AD password
(without the OTP extension).
If you write the correct AD password the authentication is forwarded to out SA Servern and it's beeing rejeced because the password doesn't
contain the correct OTP extension.
The problem comes here.
When you write you AD password along with the OTP extension you get a Windows Security error in the eventlog (On thw Gateway server) like this:
An account failed to log on.
Subject:
Security ID: NULL SID
Account Name: -
Account Domain: -
Logon ID: 0x0

Authentication Package: NTLM
Transited Services: -
Package Name (NTLM only): -
Key Length: 0
This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.
The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.
The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.
The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
- Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
- Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
- Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.
What i can see it's a NTLM error, but hey?! aren't we supposed to forward all authentication handeling to the remote NPS server?
The problem is that no matter what i try the above problem stays there.
Is it not possible to just forward ALL authentication handeling to a remote server?
The only solution I've found to get it working someday in the future is this:
"Remote Desktop Pluggable Authentication and Authorization", which is supposed to be introduced in 2012 R2.
Also this link describes it:
http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ProjectName=rdsdev&ReleaseId=3745
Please, bring me some answers before my head explodes! :)
PS, long question = maybe some errors, ask me if something is unclear.Hi,
Based on our experience, if the NTLM error occurs, please check the password.

Mike

Connect to SAP gateway failed Connect_PM TYPE=B
Hi experts,
I get the following error when i ping through JCO destinations on portals.

However my JCO destinations were working perfectly until recently. I checked on the logon group. I have one called CLUST, which i use for this purpose.
I have also checked both service files and they have the following for the ECC server im connecting to.
3610 because its system number 10 i am connecting to.
sapmsDMI 3610/tcp
From the JCE destinations screen i cannot even ping the server. I can though when i log on to the server through remote desktop.

Trouble with socket gateway and an as3 xmlsocket connection
I succesfully set up the socket gateway and am able to conect to the CF socket gateway and send data from flash to the gateway.
The error I keep getting is when I add return value to the "onIncomingMessage"... cf error always logs "Cannot send outgoing message. OriginatorID "123124124" is not a valid socket id.
I am passing the originatorID as in the docs.... my question is what is a valid originatorID?

Mix of SAP Gateway and non SAP Gateway for Integration with SAP
Hello,
I am looking for a document on where SAP NW Gateway fits in as part of an integration overall strategy. So, for example, my understanding it is primarily for Mobile app integration. I hear some customers talking about using Gateway for what we normally think of as EAI core integration. So, it does not seem right to me in many typical SAP integration requirements would be handled via Gateway. Other traditional SAP integrations via PI or another ESB leveraging enterprise services, SAP API like BAPIs and IDOCS would be more appropriate in many non-mobile type situations.
Does anyone have general guidance on the above integration advice, thxA good discussion..If I can add few things
1) PI REST Adapter is planned, should be available sometime in near future..
I do not think every integration scenario should be handled in Gateway (rather oData style) just because it can or it might work thinking. Doing it odata style means you need to re-write all functionalities as Web Based Services (eSOA anyone??)
2) Gateway (oData Services) - should be used in User to System scenario ( mobile, browser light weight type) , where you would want to transfer minimal data to the user and back
3) PI - System to System as you mentioned. e.g. Master Data/Customer Synchronization between ecc & crm etc. Doing them in oData style seems like overkill to me when you can use the IDOCs/ALEs and you do not need the data to be transferred over HTTP.
Both Gateway and PI are targeted for different scenarios and have their own place, and as such the right product should be evaluated carefully for each scenario.
Just my two cents.

Hi,
I have just started with OWSM, Can any1 ps through some light on what is Gateway and what is an agent. I looked into Oracle Supplied docs. bt was nt able to gather much.
Thanks,
IsHi,
The Oracle WSM Gateway is deployed in a J2EE container. It functions independently of the Web service it protects and acts as a proxy to the Web service clients.
Oracle WSM Agents – There are two types of Oracle WSM Agents:
– Client Agents
– Server Agents
The OWSM Agent protects access to a web service at the web service provider (server-side Agent).
The OWSM Client-Side Agent enforces web services policies from within the same web application as the service client.

Hi All;
I am actually keep asking with my self, why to use gatekeeper or SIP proxy when deploying the CVP solution, why not to use the Call Manager? Is it because that the concept built on SIP and H323 so call manager can not handle these kind of operations as call manager is supporting MGCP?
From the other side, what kind of trunk or protocol of communication method is used between the ingress gateway and the VXML browser?
Any advise?
Regards
BilalThe main reason is not all who deployed ISN/CVP in the past use Call Manager as the PBX.
CVP is a powerful solution that covers many deployment scenarios. Its ability to integrate with legacy switches has been very important in the past, and although as we move forward, these types of deployments will probably become fewer, the independence of CVP on Call Manager remains a cornerstone of the design.
I'm glad it was built that way. Look at some of the other deployment models (like Call Director) in the CVP Guide.
It's not because Call Manager supports MGCP - you don't need to have any MGCP gateways in your Call Manager deployment. You could have all H.323 gateways and manage the dial plan on the gateways with a gatekeeper. Or use SIP.
The ingress gateway does not talk to the VXML server - the VXML gateway does.
In a branch office design, these are one and the same; but that's not the fundamental architecture. The IOS on the VXML gateway runs a voice browser (I guess you could call this a VXML browser). It uses HTTP to send and receive information (VXML documents) from the VXML server - whether this be the CVP Call Server or an external VXML server (like what was brought in-house with the Audium acqusition - the Cisco CVP VXML Server).

Geoff -

Stock on posting date with storagelocation, batch and stock types informatio
Hi,
I'm needing a report (similar funtion of MB5B) which must reveal the stock postion (closing balance) of the materials on a particular date alongwith storage loactions, batches and stocktypes (Unres/Q/Blkd).As such MB5B either gives the output either by storage location or by batch, not the combination of both.
Else provide any possibilty means( Database tables) from where i could arrive these mention outputs.
I could be able to get the information by collecting the values from MKPF & MSEG tables. But this information only suffice the material movements carried on that particular date.. And i will be not having the closing balance as a whole.
I even wonder to get any such a kind of information in which i could able to get the stock with stock types(Unres/Q/Blkd).
Any light on this matter is highly appreciable.
Regards
PrasannaHi Amit Bakshi,
Thanks for the reply..
I executed the suggested program but i found the same kind of information aslike in MB5B..
The information all i'm looking is to get the closing balance of the given material with storagelocations, batches and stock types on a given posting date.
For eg.
On 15 / 03 / 2011
Material A
Batch Slocation Stock type Closing balance Qty.
A1 S001 Unres. 50
A1 S002 Unres 120
B1 S001 Quality 15
C1 S003 Blocked 30
In MB5B i could able to get the values of closing balance either Storage location level or by batch level but is it possible to get the combination of both along with stock types?

Diff b/w reference type and elementary type
hi all
can any one what is the diff b/w reference type and elementary type in data element ....
thanks
lokeshThe data type attributes of a data element can be defined by:
Specifying a domain whose attributes are copied by the data element.
Specifying a build-in type where the data type, number of places, and possibly decimal places can be directly specified.
Specifying a reference type, i.e. reference to a class, an interface, a type defined in the Dictionary, a built-in type, or a generic reference to ANY or DATA.
In the maintenance screen you can set the option you require by setting the appropriate flag (domain, built-in type, reference type) and filling in the corresponding input fields.
A reference type is a reference to another type. There are the following kinds of reference types:
Reference to a class or an interface
Reference to a type defined in the Dictionary
Generic reference to ANY, OBJECT, or DATA
Reference to a built-in Dictionary type with specification of the length and possibly also the decimal places
You can use a reference type to define the data type properties for a data element, or for typing the component of a structure or the line type of a table type.
In the field Referenced type, enter the name of a class, an interface, the generic references DATA, OBJECT, ANY, or the name of a type defined in the Dictionary. If the reference type is to be a predefined Dictionary type, choose the reference to the predefined type. Enter the number of characters and, if required, the number of decimal places.
where as
The data class describes the data format at the user interface.
If a table field or structure field or a data element is used in an ABAP program, the data class is converted to a format used by the ABAP processor. When a table is created in the database, the data class of a table field is converted to a corresponding data format of the database system used.
You can find a detailed description of the data classes allowed in the ABAP Dictionary in Overview of the Data Classes. -
Implicit and explicit Type conversion using Type object in heap
Hi,
I am surprised how Implicit and explicit Type conversion works using Type object in heap. for example when implicit type conversion occur what pointer it returns to object and similarly with explicit type conversion.Hello,
>> I am surprised how Implicit and explicit Type conversion works using Type object in heap.
For Implicit conversions: Typical examples are conversions from smaller to larger integral types, and conversions from derived classes to base classes. For the first one, the reference would be different which means it would return a different pointer to
a new object. For the reference type, it actually points to the same memory location, you could use the object.ReferenceEquals() to check it.
For Explicit conversions (casts):Typical examples include numeric conversion to a type that has less precision or a smaller range, and conversion of a base-class instance to a derived class. For first one, it would perform the same with implicit conversions.
While for the conversion of conversion of a base-class instance to a derived class, actually, there's no built-in way to do this conversion.

Open SD orders and partner type?
Hi,
I need to extract 'open sd orders' and 'partner type' i.e all partner types and not only just SP or SH
The transaction VA05 does no allow all partner functions - and I need to sort by all types
is there another way?
If I want to use SQVI . . . what tables can I join?
Thanks,
SMIMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Sales --> Lists --> Set Updating of Partner Index. Here, maintain the following values.
Transaction Group Partner Function
0 SP
0 SH
0 PY
0 BP
Now you can generate VA05 based on any partner functions.
