Requirement of TRUSTSTORE and KEYSTORE for JSSE

Hi Java Experts,
I am very new to Java technology and currently got an assignment which requires me to write a client software which should be able to communicate one of our application servers over SSL protocol. I browsed through couple of pages and found JSSE is the way to go. Now my question is -
1. Do I really need to create a truststore to store my server certificate which would be used by my client program?
2. Can I just go ahead and put the server certificate in a directory and allow my client to read the certificate from there ?
3. From 1 and 2 above which approach is most suitable and why ?
I shall be highly thankful if you guys can share your expertise and experience on this.

Only if the server certificate isn't signed by a certificate authority that isn't already recognized by the default truststore distributed with Java.

Frieght requires separate dept and blocked for payment when frieght invoice

Hi Gurus,
For frieght handling seperate department is maintained and separate approval is required, when ever the frieght invoices comes it has to get blocked for payment automatically. Can any one provide the solution.

I thought create a separate cost center and create service PO, maintain the vendor blocked for payment at the time of vendor creation, then do the service entry sheet, and Invoice.
The above said solution weather i have to create separate Pricing procedure and which conditon I have to use?

The scenario in terma of Integration Respository will be like say a HTTP to JDBC .
1. Create Dataytypes for request and response of SOAP and JDBC respectively.
2. Create Messagetypes.
3. Create Message Interfaces ( One Synch Outbound for SOAP and Oune Synch Inbound for JDBC).
4. Create 2 message mappings and interface mapping.
The datatype you create for the JDBC depends on the Action you want to perform on the Database.
Do you want to Insert or update or delete or select data from the database?

Also in ID will be the same with 1 receievr determinations, 1 interface determinations , 1 sender SOAP adapter,1 Receievr JDBC adapter amd Sender and Receiver Agrreements.

JKS Keystore and Truststore and Oracle Wallet

I'm configureing Oracle Forms and Reports 11gR2 integrating with OID/OIM/OAM through webgate/webtier. WLS use JKS Keystore and Truststore and Oracle HTTP use Oracle Wallet. I have all these on one server. Do I have to maintain both of them? I requested a certificate with OWM. Can it also be used by JKS Keystore?
What should I do?

Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.
Make sure your kids' account(s) do not have admin privileges.

I assume the restart was prompted during the installation process?
First of all, that restart will take several minutes while files are moved into place and should not be interrupted.
If it fails, or you have interrupted the process, you'll need to boot from the installer (hold down the C key on startup) and use Disk Utility to erase the drive prior to continuing the installation.
That will wipe all data on the drive, though, so if you didn't make a backup before beginning the upgrade, you'll need to get your data off safely before proceeding. That may likely require the use of another Mac to access yours in Target Disc Mode.

I have been planning and deploying my companies first Windows Server 2012/SQL Server 2012 Always On cluster and Always On Availability Groups Multi-Subnet cluster and instances for SharePoint 2013, and I will be brutally honest, the documentation on either
the MSDN and TechNet leave alot to be desired. Continually finding links in the documentation will take me from a Windows 2012 reference to a page talking about Windows Server 2008 or R2, The differences of which there are so many when it comes to configurations,
settings, roles, services when working with SQL Server 2012. I have been confused, frustrated, screaming mad, with all the misdirection in this documentation. The documentation takes me windows 2008 R2 which is different than 2012!

In general, DTC is not required for SQL 2012. But, since you are asking specifically about SharePoint, it would be better to ask in a SharePoint forum. They would be more likely to know those situations where FTC might be needed by SharePoint.

I just switched to Charter. When going to Mozilla Firefox a box appears saying, Authentication Required and asks for a User name and Password. What do I do?

I switched from CenturyTel to Charter. I can't use Firefox because a box appears asking me for Authentication Required, User Name and Password. When I hit cancel, this message appears:
HTTP 401 - Unauthorized
Authorization is required to access the configuration server.
You must enter the correct username and/or password.
When I called Charter, they told me they recommended using Internet Explorer. I told them I didn't want IE, I preferred Firefox. They recommended I go to your support page, so here I am. :o)

Have you reset the password recently for the email account?
A real simple fix usually is to delete the mail account (settings < mail contacts calendars, tap the affected account and choose delete at the bottom) Then re add the account.

Hi Kate,
You are not on the right track; MD14 and 15 will choose the PLANNED ORDER population for the conversion. In planned orders there's NO PURCHASING ORGANIZATION DATA (normally)!
So even if you managed to put the field on the screen, it will not do anything that makes sense.

Requirements and Architecture for Business Objects Universe

Hi - apologies in advance for the probable repeat question but a search of the forums brought back an overload of information that wasn't quite specific enough.
We are about to purchase an application that comes with a Business Objects Universe but we've been told that we'll need to sort out our own licensing for the Client/Server side of its use.
I've done a lot of work with Crystal Reports in the past but having read up on Business Objects it appears that either the Desktop Intelligence of Web Intelligence clients are designed for the reporting facilities in BO.
Basically, the question is what exactly do we need to run reports from the BOU across the company AND what server architecture is required/recommended for the same?
As I see it, the BOU is the equivalent of an ORM layer in software development. This would mean we'd have:
DATABASE
UNIVERSE
REPORTING CLIENT
...where the reporting client allowed the development and distribution of reports based on the specific licences purchased. However the reporting client wouldn't be Crystal Reports - is that correct?
Also is there any ballpark figure for the server and client licence costs? Assuming 5 developers and up to 300 users (although it may only be management needing viewer access so possibly only a dozen users on top of the developers in that case).
I've tried to work this out for myself but there seems to be a lot of confusion around what is Business Objects (the product) and who Business Objects the company are and where Crystal fits in with everything.
For a bog-standard implementation of a BOU what is absolutely necessary?

Hi Nic,
As you've described Universe is a meta data layer in between Database and Reporting Layer. You could create reports using Desktop Intelligence, Web Intelligence, Web Intelligence Rich Client and even Crystal Reports. DeskI, WebI Rich, Crystal Reports do require client installations and you have an added advantage of using local data sources like excel and create reports. WebI also creates reports but you don't need any separate client installer for it.
For the ball park figure I'd contact Sales Team...
Your question regarding what is absolutely necessary, there are lot more things need to be taken into consideration like below
1) What are the repeorting needs at a little detailed level?
How would it help: Though there are several reporting tools for users and their reporting needs, it helps in deciding on which of the reporting tools should be the prime ones. Like WebI can be used as Adhoc Reporting Tool once you design your universe.
2) Where would you want these reports to be deployed or on what portal do you want to see reports?
How would it help: It helps in deciding what should be the presentation layer for the reports and how it should be designed. Business Objects has InfoView portal that comes default where you can deploy DeskI, WebI, Crystal Reports. Or if you need to use an existing sharePoint portal you'd need Integration with Sharepoint software.
3) Do you need ETL tools to load your data?
How would it help: It helps in making recommendation on ETL process and if Business Objects Data Integrator is suitable for the scenario
