Reservation without enter movement type

Hi,
1. Can i create reservation without enter movement type.
2. Can i create one reservation order for multiple internal order(using 261 or other movement type ), if yes then how to issue goods against the same.

For 1) It is not possible to create a reservation without a mvt

Automatic PO form goods receipt without reference Movement type 501

Hi,
My client receive sample material from the vendor that is without reference to PO, but upon approval of sample the vendor has to make the payment for which i do not have the reference document number.
To arive at the solution i wanted to generate automatic PO for movement type 501, for which i have checked the movement type settings, 501- automatic PO, i ahve maintained the info record, and during GR for movement type 501 i enter the vendor even than system is not generating any PO in backend, I have centraalised purchase organization assigned to the plant.
can anyone suggest me if i am missing any settings,

Hi,
You need to configure the following steps for creating automatic PO in MIGO transaction.
1.Activate the auto PO in Material and Vendor Master.
2. Maintain the Info record.
3.Assign the Standard Purchase organisation for the plant you want to create auto Po.
Path: ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE-ASSIGNMENT-MATERIALS MANAGEMENT-ASSIGN STANDARD PURCHASE ORG FOR PLANT.
4. Activate create PO automatically for movement type (101,501).
Path: MM-INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND PHYSICAL INVENTORY-GOODS RECEIPT-CREATE PURCHASE ORDER AUTOMATICALLY - here you can activate for the mvt type you want.
5.In MIGO screen, goto menu Settings and click default values , you will get a screen where you can check the mvt type 101,501... are maintained in mvt type column. if not you just enter the mvt type which you want. and click adopt tab.
6. Now you do GR using 501 mvt type and give the material and vendor ..
It will work.

GR without PO - Movement types?

Hi All,
As per SOX compliance we have to remove all movement types from the system which allow Goods Receipt without PO.
Is 561 the only movement type which allows GR without PO or are there any more movement types which I need to remove.

Reservation with movement type 541

Hello Experts,
I am making reservation with mov type y41 (copy of 541) by allowing transaction MB21 in its customizing.My problem is at the time of making reservation system is not reflecting vendor field, whereas in t code MB1B vendor field is appearing.I also checked in field status group there vendor field is appearing as mandatory.
Can anybody suggest me how can i reflect vendor field at the time of making reservation with copied movement type in my case its Y41

Classic Scenario - Reservation Movement Type

Hi All!
We are in a Classic Scenario environment and the requirement is for a certain type of material to create Reservations in the backend with a different Movement Type. Lets say we have three types of Stock Materials: two of these will create reservations with the Movement type 201 defined as default at the root level but I want the third type to create reservations with movement type 301 Transfer posting.
I have assigned this value (301) for the movement type attribute for a particular user and set it up as default but it didnt work, the reservation was still created with 201.
Is there any way I can achieve this? Will I need to use the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI implementation?
Any idea will be much appreciated (and rewarded of course )

Yes, I have successfully implemented this by using BAdI BBP_CREATE_RES_BACK as Dave suggested. I only wanted to change the movement type for a specific plant so Iu2019ve done something like this
method IF_EX_BBP_CREATE_RES_BACK~FILL_RES_INTERFACE.
data zl_res_items type bapiresbc.
if res_header-plant = u2018my_plantu2019
move '301' to res_header-move_type.
Endif.
maintain receiving plant & storage location
move res_header-plant to res_header-move_plant.
now this is the receiving plant which I am taking it from SRM
I have put in the functional specification accepted by the user the fact
that in SRM when they create the shopping cart they have to specify in the
location the storage location which is the destination
move zl_res_items-store_loc to res_header-move_stloc. move_stloc is
the destination
Then Iu2019ve changed the res_items-plant & res_items-store_loc to be the supplying location which in our case it will always be 0001. If your supplying
Location can be different then you will have to code some logic in here when you loop at res_items.
Also I have made the Plant attribute maintainable so that the users can maintain their own default destination plant if they want.

We can not create reservation by using Movement type 221Q in transaction code MB21.
This movement type we can use for direct issuing the material by Transection code MB1A or MIGO.

Goods Issue not possible with ref to Reservation using 201 mvt type when reservation created by 311 movement type

HI MM Folks,
My requirement is reservation should be created with 311 movt type. When we do good issue with 201 movt type with reference to reservation
system is throwing an error "Goods movement not possible with mvmt type 311". Due to MRP run we should create a reservation using 311 movement type but not 201 mvt type, (If we create a reservation 201 movt type, during MRP run automatically reservation quantity also taking into consideration, to avoid this we will be creating reservation as 311 movt type). Is there any enhancement to available to reach the requirement. If it is possible give me guidelines.

Movement type 311 is for doing transfer posting from storage location to storage location with single step.But Movement Type 201 is to have consumption entry with respect to cost center etc...
You are creating a reservation using 311 movement type and while posting the entry you are selecting the"Executable action in MIGO" is "A08-Transfer Posting" so system will always use the movement type used at the time of reservation only.Here you can not change.
And more over if you process entry with 201 movement type system creates accounting documents but with movement type 311 system will not create accounting documents.

Pblm in determing batch for 311 movement type

Hi MM Gurus
I have a Pblm while issuing the raw materials against a reservation using 311 movement type.
For ex i have to issue 100 KG of Material A and it is available in 4 batches
Material A batch A 26kg
Material A batch B 26kg
Material A batch C 26kg
Material A batch D 26kg
The System should automatically detemine batch A qty 26 batch B 26 Batch c 26
and the remaining 23 kg from Batch D.
Is there any possibility to do that without manually entering the qty .

Hi,
For this you need to set up Strategies for Stock determination.
Trasncation code : OSPX
Go to new entries.
Enter your plant code and any 4 digit key and save.
Select this entry and click on the stock determination rule. Type any 4 digit key and save.
Click on Stock determination header. Select your entry, which is having your given plant code, stock determination group and stock determination rule and click on the stock determination item table.
there you have to maintain all ur batches as per the combination of Periotity indicator, Storage location and stock indicator.
For first periority - 1& second periority - 2 & third periority - 3
Storage location - 0001
stock indicator - F for standard & K for consignment.
F 0001 1 A
F 0001 2 b
F 0001 3 c
F 0001 4 d
This stock determination group ( 4 digit key), you have to maintain in the material master record - MRP2 view.
Maintain stock determination group and MRP profile - ND
Then during GR, system will check stock determination group in the MMR and based on that first system stock availability for the first periority batch. If stock is there, it will pick. If stock is not there, system will pick second one.

Make field selection for 201 Movement type for MB21 t.code

Hello,
I have making reservation through T.code..
In that screen we have entered Movement type 201 in MB21 t.code ,,it will show me two fileds
G/L Account filed and Cost center..
In that Cost center field is mandatory.....User told me to do the G/L account filed mandatory... how to do this....
In filed selection there is only one fieled is the cost center....then there is no filed for G/L Account.

For G/L account mandatory ..in 201 Movement type.
Go to Spro-Inv ManagementGoods issuse/Transfer PostingSet manual account assignment---and Give + sign Infront of movment type 201.
It will make the field G/L Account in MB21 201 movement type

How to set error message for 541 Movement type

Dear gurus,
            I want to know that is it possible to set error message through any configuration? My requirement is that when we create issue document using m.t 541 it will not allow me to process that document without releasing PO document.so for that i want to set error message.

Hi,
   The subcontracting goods issue can be done even without PO reference. If your organization is strictly following the goods issue against PO only and you want to restrict the goods issue if the PO is not released, then you may check the below option. Please note that the below option is available in standard only from EHP 4 or above.
1. Refer the KBA: 1915825 - Transfer Posting reference to a Purchase Order in MIGO and activate the PO reference option in MIGO - Transfer posting.
2. Restrict the use of 541 movement in MB1B - Go to OMJJ and enter movement type as 541. Now go to "allowed transactions" folder and remove MB1B. Now the user cant use 541 in MB1B.
3. Maintain the field - Purchase order as mandatory field for the movement type 541 in OMJJ.
4. Train the users to use MIGO - Transfer Posting - Purchase order option for goods issue with 541 movement.
5. If the PO is not released, system wont allow to use the PO in MIGO - Transfer Postings.
6. If the user is selecting Transfer Posting - Other, system wont check the PO and hence it will allow to post the goods issue even if PO is not released. You may take organizational measures to restrict the usage or you may check for authorization concept - Refer the note: 773003 - MIGO: No authorization object for action/reference document
   If you are below EHP 4, there is no standard functionality available for the requirement as of my knowledge. If so, you may go for development to restrict the same.

I have gone into MB1A and entered movement type 554. I can't find where to indication 05 Inspeciton Type. (Also, by take UD do you mean to change the UD? )
I tried doing the 554 movement without entering the 05 Inspection Type and I get the error:
                                                                                Change the inspection stock of material R15290 in QM only
Message no. QA495
Diagnosis
You want to make a stock posting to/from the inspection stock. This is
     not allowed for material R15290 because the quality inspection control
     has been activated by QM.

Profit center an optional entry for Movement Type

Hi All,
I have the need to make changes on the Field Status for the Movement Type 561 to set profit center to be an optional entry.
Right now when I go to MB1C and enter the movement type and the plant, it asks for a profit center since its a req entry. I want to change that to optional. Please help.

2. Enter Movement Type 561 - GL Account as your stock account
3. Execute
4. It will show you 2 columns - Field Status as per MM and FI
5. Make Profit center as optional there for MM...
6. Pr Ctr as optional for FI can be made from OBC4

As I am doing this for personal reasons and I don't have authority to enter company data for any reason, I was wondering how I would register for the free trial without entering this type of data.

To activate the trial, you only need an Adobe ID. That doesn't really require to enter a company, you can put 'Student' or 'Freelance'..
Be careful: published projects with a trial version will expire after 30 days or so.

Controlling movement type 311

We are on R/3 4.7 and are looking for a way to control a useru2019s ability to transfer materials using movement type 311. Is it possible to restrict access to transferring materials using movement type 311 with either material groups or material types? We have tried a number of possibilities using configuration and roles but have not had any success.

Please maintain following customization settings to avoid goods issue for movement type 311
SPRO>>Materials management>>Inventory Management and Physical Inventory>>Movement Types>>Copy, Change Movement Types Execute
Now select Movement type.
Enter movement type 311
In left hand side tree structure Go to allowed transcation folder and double click
Delete all the transaction code by which you want to avoid goods issue

Movement type in Lean WM

Dear friends
I am working on ids, I assigned Lean WM 012 to my plant XY01 and create new material. In select view (MM01) i entered plant, storage location, sales organization, distribution, Warehoune number 012 and storahe type 03.
Now i am trying to create stock for newly created meterial using T.code MB1C. In next screen, i entered movement type 561, but system giving error that "WM movement type 561 not allowed". I tried other movement type like 501 etc also but for all the defined movement type system giving same error.
Please give comment, what i should do.
