Resizing a page with offset

In Acrobat 9 Pro, I was used to change the format of pages from 120x180 to 148.5x210.
- Odd pages, not centered, without any offset (page alinged on the left bottom)
- Even pages, with X offset of 28.5 (page aligned on the right bottom)
Then I was able to print a correct booklet.
Now with XI, I don't have problem with odd pages, but even pages give me blank pages.
Is it a Bug, or has somthing changed ?
Or is there now a way to avoid changing the format ? I have a 120x180 PDF document that I want to print as a booklet on a A4 paper. The problem if I select a booklet, is that the pages are not aligned correctly to be able to finally cut the A4 paper and get a 120x180 booklet.

Is that page on SharePoint, or is that on the internet?
If the second is the case I would just use a hyperlink which opens in a new tab via target blank attribute:

And you can place it in a content editor web part.
Btw, with SharePoint 2013 you can use the Script Editor Web Part to embed a form from a source like Survey Monkey:

Can an i-frame resize the page height and itself with new content?

I built a website in Adobe Muse and embedded a blog within an i-frame on the portfolio page of the site here...

This approach was taken because the client needed the ability to keep adding videos to the portfolio section of the site themselves indefinitely and
i was short on ideas to implement that functionality with Muse. I've now exported the code as HTML to Dreamweaver to see what I can achieve there.
Using Dreamweaver, Is it possible for the page height and i-frame height to resize with new content as more videos are added to it? Is there some script I can add to the page?
Is there a better solution?

Ordinarily, Iframe re-size scripts will only work when the parent page (with iframe) and the external page (blog) both reside on the same domain. However, someone came up with a cross domain solution which requires you to put jQuery scripts on both sites. NOTE: I've never tested this.

IMO, a cleaner solution is to use scripts to parse the blog's RSS feed into the main site. You can use PHP code from FeedForAll or jQuery's jFeed plugin.

The main advantage in using a script to parse feeds is you control the appearance -- to match your main site & how many posts are displayed on the page.

Extract PDF pages with it's actual page numbers...

Hi scripting gurus,
We have more than 40 of PDF documents each document contain multiple pages. Using Acrobat Professional 7.0 and 8.0 with MAC platform. We have the script to extract the pages and to suffix running numbers with the document name, please find the script below. For example CH01.pdf document total number of pages is 10, but the actual page number starts with 11. So We have to extract each pages as individual documents and the page number will followed by document name with "_" separation, (Eg: CH01_11.pdf). I have tried so many ways to include the page numbers with the document name but i can't.

Also, this doesn't make any sense:

I have tried what you have said above, but it is not working. Its showing the same error (missing ; before statement)in 4th line of the script.

How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps?

How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps? Whenever I move it there is a huge gap at the top of the page which I cant seem to get rid of, i posted about this before but none of the suggestions seemed to work for me. i'm not very good with css so im not really sure where to find the problem. There are generally gaps everywhere which looks at absolute mess, no clue how they got there and why, there is a huge gap underneath my menu bar too which wasnt there before. how do i get rid of this too? its probably some padding a or margin but no clue where.

Problem with offset settings CS5

I have got a large indesign CS5 (Win) document with many photos linked (all in RGB).
How should I prepare pdf for offset?
I am not sure the RGB-> CMYK conversion. If I can used conversion from Indesign which settings shoudl I choose.
I tried Pdf/X-1a 2001 but I am not sure about quality of phaotos and conversion RGB-> CMYK, apart of this text in
such a pdf is not sharp, seems pixelised.
Could you help me to solve this problem?
Is there any difference between external RGB->CMYK conversion with photoshop and those automatic from Indesign?offset, pdf

If I make a page with a frame filled with a color where it's easy to spot a conversion—something like 0/0/10/50—and export it as PDF/X-1a, AcrobatX's preflight tells me the profile is DeviceCMYK not the Fogra27 Output Intent Profile I exported.
If I open Acrobat's Output Preview, the default Simulation Profile is the output intent profile and the gray shows the same 0/0/10/50 separation as in ID. If I change the Simulation Profile to US Sheetfed the separation panel does not show a conversion—I still get 0/0/10/50.
If I print separations to the different destination profiles the results match the Output Preview, in both cases the cyan and magenta plates are blank. I don't see anyway to force a CMYK-to-CMYK conversion from the Print dialog.
If I export the page again and include a destination profile rather than an output intent (by setting the Standard to None) I get very different results.
Preflight shows Fogra as the profile. In this case the Output Preview simulation defaults to my Acrobat working CMYK space and I get a conversion (because it is not Fogra). If I select Fogra as the simulation there's no conversion, which is what I expect. Again my printed separations match the simulations—by default I get a CMYK-to-CMYK conversion.

I would like to figure a way to fill the whole page with just one picture for my Home Page other than the various page links at the top. iWeb will only allow me to size the pic to about 50% of the page give or take. Does anyone know how I can get it to fill the entire screen?

Create and publish your page.
Open the page in a HTML Editor of your choice and paste this line at the top of the <body>.

how can I print just a part of the page and not the full page with Adobe Reader v 10.1.2? I need to print a engineering print with lot of information but information is too small in letter size and I don't have a plotter.

Two ways to print a portion of a page: zooming or using the Snapshot Tool.
ZOOMING:
Zoom into the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure "Current view" is selected under "More options" (you may need to click "More options" to open it).
If you aren't satisfied with the preview, try clicking "Fit" under the Size button.
SNAPSHOT
Choose Edit > Take A Snapshot.
Drag a rectangle around the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure that "Selected Graphic" is selected under "More options".
To enlarge the snapshot to fit the sheet of paper, choose "Fit" under the Size button.

A tree-view in HTML page with nodes generated with java script in run time is not visible in the UI Automation Tree. Need Help

I have a HTML page with an IFrame. Inside the Iframe there is a table with a tree view

In UIA, i am able to traverse till the tree view but not able to see it.
I have used the TreeWalker.RawViewWalker Field to traverse the node from the desktop Automation.RootElement.
I tried to use AutomationElement.FromPoint method to check whether i am able to get that element. Fortunately i was able to get the automation element.
i tried to get the path to root element from the node element using the TreeWalker.RawViewWalker. I was able to get the parent path to the root element.
But trying the reverse way like navigating from root element to tree node, was not getting the element for me.
Please help me with suggestions or inputs to resolve this issue.

i am actually using jinitiator 1.3.1.28 with Oracle HTTP Server of OAS 10gR2) calling Forms Server 6i (f60cgi). After setting up according to Bernard's recommended setup steps, the java console showed that it loaded the icon jar file when it could not read the form, but it skipped the loading of the icon jar file once it read and started the form. How do we specify in the form to pick up the icon from the jar file instead from a directory ? Or do we need to specify ? Any ideas ?

When you are invoking your page, does your view object has an empty row where data can go and presist?
Create a an empty row in your view object(vo.createRow()) , or use create operation from data control palette.
You can set the log in Tools->Preferences-->Environment-->Log.

Sorry, something went wrong - Open Office File from Search Results Page with Office Web Apps

Hi,
I'm getting "Sorry, something went wrong" error when I'm trying to open any office document from inside Search Results Page with Office Web Apps, the same error is appearing in the document preview as well.
The error in SharePoint logs says that the file cannot be found.
Please note that this error is coming only when the "Filename" of the document is not written in English (in my case its written with Arabic characters).
If I try to open it from the document library, its opening properly with no errors.
The only difference between two URLs (document URL in Search Results and in Document Library) is the value for "sourcedoc" attribute;
In the case of Search Results page, the filename in "sourcedoc" attribute is kept as is with Arabic characters.
While in the Document Library, the filename in "sourcedoc" attribute is converted into different characters (something like: "B9%D9%85%D9%8").
Anybody have an idea on how to overcome this issue, implement a workaround or modify the "sourcedoc" behavior?

Thanks for your efforts, I already tried your last suggestion before, but this didn't solve my problem.
Actually my end users are accessing this portal using ADFS and HTTPS.
Finally I got this solved, I have done below to get my overall solution working perfectly:
- First I have configured Windows Authentication and ADFS Authentication on the same zone which is the default zone.
- The issue when opening office documents with Arabic file name has disappeared as a result of first change.
- Then I have faced an issue where we are not able to crawl content under Default zone, however we have to do so, after too many efforts, I found that its related to the Load-balancer/proxy, I have made the crawler server
to crawl himself (http://CrawlServerName:PortNumber).
- Also a change on Alternate Access Mapping was needed, I have set one of the extended zones (which is running Windows Authentication only) as Internal URL for the Default Zone, and this is was the URL I used for Crawling.
I have configured Server Name Mappings to make sure we got proper URLs in Search Results.
- Then we faced another issue, which is Authentication selection on login page (How to bypass this page, and authenticate using ADFS auto), I used this solution (Set Custom Sign In Page):

- I faced one more issue as a result of above workaround; Sign Out functionality wasn't working well; users get logged in automatically whenever I click on Sign Out. I solved this by modifying the "Sign Out" Control under _layouts;
I made it to redirect users to ADFS Sign Out Page instead of SharePoint Sign Out Page (I know its not recommended, but I don't have any other option).

FIREFOX 26 changed the 'post crash' page with the list of windows and pages. It was a real HTML page with links for each page. Now it isn't (and blows)

This used to be a real HTML page and it isn't any more. THis choice was pure isiocy consider how peopel used that page every day (try taking to your users for a change).
The pages listed on that 'post crash page' used to be actual LINKS (you could right click them &
manually open them in another tab - and most peope DID that every day). You could also (and I did this a lot) drag a second
copy of the page, into a new tab (to keep track of all the pages I had not wanted to open)
Now the pages are no longer links. You cannot right-click them.
The thing in the probser is no longer a page that I can drag into a new tab.
Roll the version back and throw this one in the bin...and have a good long talk with your developers about the definition of
'STUPIDITIY'
Then I try to type anything in the addres bar it is suppose to repoond with the history of old things I have types in the past, or
search for what I type (and in some cases I think it tyes to convert it intoa URL). However it no longer does any of these
things. When I type in the ADDRESS BAR ONLY, I do not get all of my letters to appear. I have to type into a notepad or
into the search and to copy and paste to go to a URL. Nothing that is typed into the address bad responds normally at all
anymore, and I am fairly certain there are no new addons on this machine at all. It does not matter which things I disable. It
still does this. W of course points the finger back at a change to FIREFOX. I wich I could just sitct with one stable release
forever but the MOZILLA folk thing it is best to force peopel awy from a working broswer release to a horrible one (due to it
being out of date).
FIREFOX 26.0 has 'issues' (ie new *features*/bugs)
1) History is no longer accurate. My Proof? This machine is the primary one for the entire family (the only PC working). It is
logged in with same user every time and never has its history cleared. It now January 7 so I ought to have a list of all of last
months browing available to me.
However, according to FIREFOX history, in all of December 2013, the entire family only went to 51 primary URL's. None of
the official TV sites I use to get episodes are listed. None of the official movie sites I use are listed. The primary URL for
ebay is not listed. Only 1 out of our 4 weather sites that I use (at least once a week) are listed. Only 1 of our 3 FINANCE
sites is listed. There ought to be several; hundred root URLs listed.
Please fix history as this change seriously "blows greasy chunks"
PROBLEM (a stupid change in the new FIREFOX version)
FOr a long time, after a crash you got a useful page (a real HTML page) which gave you a list of all of your last sessions
'winwos and tabs' that were open when the browser crashed. there were certain ways of using this page that are no longer
able to be done.
The old method was wonderful as it had this behavior :
*** The old method for displaying your 'Recovered Tabs' allowed you to :
a) right click an individual item and open it in a tab without getting rid of that lovely window of your previous session of
'recovered windows and tabs '.
2) drag the URL for the entire window of 'recovered windows and tabs ' to a new tab (to make a second copy) so that you
could select just a few of them to open as a group, and stil have the old list handy.
You can no longer do either of these things. The 'recovered windows and tabs ' page no longer has links in it and can no longer be dragged, so you cant select a few of them to use, and keep the rest around for later. NOW - once you choose which pages to open the window is gone forever (can can't get a second copy).
People used to make a copy of the page for later use (with a drag)
we also used to open pages with a right click (which no longer functions
This new method seriously blows big greasy chunks. A parge loss in function has occurred.
Put things back as they were. 26 is full of terrible changes that NOBODY likes. It also has a lot of bugs (history is not reliable at all)

(1) Firefox's built-in post-crash page has not been a real HTML page for a long time (for example, from the time of Firefox 22, see: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968212 Want to save LOTS of versions of "Restore Session.xht" from the "oops ..." page for later use]). If you had this working differently with Firefox 25, that might have been created by an extension.
You can check to see whether extensions are disabled or need an update on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The disabled extensions cluster toward the bottom of the list. To poll for updates, use the "gear" button above the list and choose Check for Updates.
If you used the Reset feature (or Firefox automatically did a reset due to some problem during upgrading), you will need to reinstall missing extensions. The reset feature creates a folder on the desktop named Old Firefox Data. Do you have that folder? There may be data you can recover from it.
(2) There are many ways for history to get cleared, both internal to Firefox and external. Could you double-check your Privacy settings?

Firefox normally accumulates months of history. However, some of Firefox's database sizes are based on disk space available. If your hard drive is very full, Firefox might reduce the amount of history stored.

Test jsp pages with ant

I built up a web site and I want to test them using ANT. It works fine with other web page, however it doesn't work with web pages with "session" statement. For example in login.jsp I have the following statement
session.setAttribute("user", request.getParameter("userName"));
And if the user's name and password are correct, the user is directed to home.jsp, where i have the following statement to retrieve the user's name:
String id=session.getAttribute("user").toString();
In order to test the above 2 pages with ANT, I have the following code in builder.xml:

When I run the script, I get the error that the home.jsp cannot be opened (see below)

I am pretty sure the above error is caused by the "session" statement, because if I remove the statement in home.jsp, the page can be correctly opened. But I really need the "session" statement, Can someone tell me how to deal with it?

One mistake i find in your code is while retreiving the session value its session.getAttribute("userName"), as you stored the value using the parameter 'userName'. Is it not causing problem. Please check...
