Resloving Locks

Hi Guys,
Hope your day has been going good.
Please whats the best way to resolve locks...
Platform 11.5.9/ 11. 5.10.2
OS Solaris/Linux
I know you can go to OAM ==> Concurrent Requests ===> Running
to get info on locks being held to kill but what if you have alot of locks on the database and go to OAM ==> Concurrent Requests ===> Running and there is non running,
How will you now know which user has generated the sessions since, all the 11i users will appers as apps in enterprise manager==> sessions locks
Please help with trouble shooting locks steps mostly when you don't know or can't find the user.

Use the following SQL query to identify the sid and serial# associated with the session identified in the Monitor Users form:
SQL> SELECT SUBSTR(d.user_name,1,30) "User Name"
,      a.pid
,      b.sid
,      b.serial#
FROM   v$process a, v$session b, fnd_logins c, fnd_user d
WHERE  a.pid = c.pid
AND    c.pid = &PID
AND    d.user_name = UPPER('&USER_NAME')
AND    TO_DATE(c.start_time) = TO_DATE('&START_DATE')
AND    d.user_id = c.user_id
AND    a.addr = b.paddr
AND    c.end_time IS NULL;- When prompted for "PID", enter the value that appears under the Oracle Process column on the form.
- When prompted for "USER_NAME", enter the value that appears under the User Name column on the form.
- When prompted for "START_DATE", enter the Date that the user started the session.
