Resolving relative URIs in MIDP 2.0 / CLDC 1.1

Hi, all.
Is there a method in MIDP 2.0 / CLDC 1.1 for resolving relative URIs against absolute URIs similar to J2SE's URI.resolve method?
Thanks very much!

... or, given an open connection to a URI via the Connector class, is there a way to resolve a relative URI against that?

  • OSB invoking RESTful webservices:issue with relative-URI instead of

    Hi,
    We have a requirement where we need to pass the request content as string in the URL.
    we need to send the request in the URL like:
    http://abc.com/rest/xvf/nas<Employee><name>abc</name><empid>1234</empid>...<Employee>
    we have used a servicecallout action which is invoking a business service which has the base uri value like:
    http://abc.com/rest
    and in the insert action we are trying to appened the remaining uri in the rest command i.e
    <http:relative-URI>/xvf/nas{fn-bea:serialize($xmldata)}</http:relative-URI>
    here $xmldata is <Employee><name>abc</name><empid>1234</empid>...<Employee>
    while trying to invoke the service we are getting the error like:
    BEA-380000: General runtime error: Illegal character in path at index 36: http://abc.com/rest/xvf/nas& lt ; Employee>& lt ; name>abc& lt ; /name>& lt ; empid>1234>...& lt ; Employee>
    before to that we used fn-bea:inlinedXML and fn:bea:serialize functions on the retrieved xml and stored it into the xmldata variable and this variable is displaying the request in the proper xml file, but while appending it to the relative URI method the xml data is changing as like shown above i.e instead of < it is coming as & lt ; and at the end with out invoking the servie it is stoppeing at the OSB with the above error as illegal character, please advice..
    how to append the proper xml to the URL/URI in the relative-URI method in the proxy transport??
    as here it is coming & lt ; (combined with out space) as < i am changing it as like & lt ; for better understanding
    Thanks..

    Not sure what you are trying to do but if I am not wrong, you are trying to use HTTP get with REST. You may refer -

  • IOException when trying to read HttpConnection input (MIDP 2.0-CLDC 1.0)

    Hello!
    I'm using the Java ME Platform SDK 3.0, on a Windows XP machine.
    The midlet's code runs successfully with the emulator, but when i execute it on my motorola c650 (MIDP 2.0-CLDC 1.0), whenever i call the getInputStream method, it hangs for a while (say, 1 second), and then i get an IOException at that point.
    I already tried:
    - call getResponseCode before; i get an IOException at that point
    - use POST method instead of GET
    - call openOutputStream before openInputStream
    - use getDataInputStream instead of getInputStream
    HttpConnection c = (HttpConnection)Connector.open(url);
    c.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.GET);
    InputStream is = c.openDataInputStream();
    ...Nothing helps... but the same code works on a motorola v3 black (MIDP 2.0-CLDC 1.1)
    Thanks in advance!

    Oh,
    these are a little bit old handsets, aren't they?
    Anyway I can remember that especially on C650 we've experienced some firmware issues. However if this happens also on V3 I can only recomend to check the access point configuration. These old motorolas must be set up correctly and differently for using internal browser (using a WAP access point) and differently for using from within Java applications (using an internet access point).

  • Using relative-URI  in creating the REST based proxy service

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue when i am trying to create REST based proxy. i am looking at the urls given in the forum post Using Business Service that supports XML over HTTP in OSB
    I have created a conditional branch with xpath expression like *./ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:relative-URI/text()*
    and i am copying this value to $inbound as showin in the blog http://blogs.oracle.com/jeffdavies/2009/06/restful_services_with_oracle_s_1.html. But when i typed the uri in browser its saying xml parser error unable to find <.
    Not sure of the reason. If i modify my proxy to use http-method as shown in the blog its working fine and that too only when i copied ./ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:http-metho/text() to $inbound. But when i copied the same to another variable like branchcond, i am getting same parsing error. And Is it that the variable has to be always $inbound?  So what should be the variable name for using relativeURI
    And my uri is going to be like the following, thats why i am planning to create the conditonal branch on relative-uri.
    http:/localhost:8001/proxy/RESTbasedPS/getGreeting?name=23
    http:/localhost:8001/proxy/RESTbasedPS/getFullName?firstName=Some&lastName=Thing
    Any leads in above error will help me.
    Thanks
    Siva

    When i created the Conditonal branch, its asking for two mandatory properties. One is 'selected path' and the other is 'variable'. My scenario i am trying to base my conditional branch based on relative uri, so i have given './ctx:transport/ctx:request/http:relative-URI/text()' for 'selected path' variable and giving the value 'inbound' for 'variable' property of conditional branch.
    i was trying to do this in similar fashion as given in the blog http://blogs.oracle.com/jeffdavies/2009/06/restful_services_with_oracle_s_1.html, only thing is that i am using http:relative-URI rather http:http-method as shown in the blog.
    I am geting the following error in exact:
    XML Parsing Error: no element found
    Location: http://localhost:7001/proxy/RESTBasedPS/getGreeting?name=siva
    Line Number 1, Column 1:
    Please let me know if i am missing something or doing wrong with inbound variable.
    Thanks

  • BPEL designer default relative URI when importing wsdl

    I'm using BPEL designer 10.1.3.1.0 The designer generated a reference service wsdl file "MyServiceRef.wsdl" that imports the service "MyService.wsdl" I intended to use.
    The import line reads like:
    <import namespace="http://my.namespace/" location="../public_html/WEB-INF/wsdl/MyService.wsdl"/>
    When deploying the BPEL project, I got error that "Failed to read wsdl", in which the deploying process looked for the wsdl file at location
    <BPEL HOME>\domains\default\tmp\.bpel_ProjectName_ff8d276f54525c078b0828ce6f764002.tmp
    I tried to modify the line to use the full URI to point to the correct location but it wouldn't compile. Can someone help point out what is wrong?
    Thanks,
    Wen

    1. The web service "MyService" was generated using BPEL designer's wizard: New -> Business Tier -> Java Web Services (There's one java class compiled within the project.)
    2. When I was adding the service into my BPEL flow, jdeveloper automatically generated the reference "MyServiceRef" as mentioned in the first post. This reference service imports MyService, at relative URI as correctly described in the import statement.
    3. Compiling the BPEL ->success
    4. Deploying BPEL, somehow it looks for MyService.wsdl at a wrong location

  • How does the JSP container resolve taglib URI

    My application uses JSPs which have taglibs. The taglibs use absolute URIs(http://java.sun.com/jstl/core). I noticed that if the JAR which would resolve this taglib, which is standard.jar, were to be placed in the <domain>/lib folder, the application would not be able to resolve it. If i packaged the JAR with the taglib definitions in the WEB-INF/lib folder of the WAR file, the application worked fine. Any clues on if this is expected behaviour? I have some other taglibs which refer to http://java.sun.com/jsf/html and jsf/core - these seem to be resolved fine by placing the jsf-impl.jar in the <domain>/lib folder.
              Thanks

    hello,
    unfortunatly it is not quite clear what type of security you want to achieve ...
    a) either securing the report for unauthorized running against different data
    or
    b) securing the stream between the server and the client using HTPPS
    for case a) you will have to code the logic into the report so a user can only run the report against his data.
    neither HTTPS nor the CGICMD.DAT can help you in this case. you could even use the row-level-security option of the database to achieve that.

  • Using catalog to resolve schema URI with schema distribution thrue jars

    Hi,
    I'm using commons resolver catalog to resolve schema locations for xml validation. In all documentation I've seen, the CatalogManager.properties must be unique in the classPath and it must be in the same jar as all the catalog files: the CatalogManager will search for catalog files on paths relative to the CatalogManager.properties...
    My problem is, I want to distribute schemas on several jars. One schema may include other schema that is located in a diferent jar.
    Possible solutions:
    Distribute one or more catalog files and one CatalogManager.properties per jar and the CatalogManager manages all the CatalogManager.properties that finds in the classPath;
    Distribute one or more catalog files per jar and have one CatalogManager per application that loads the catalogs as resources;
    Any other that I'm not thinking off at the moment.
    I'm sure that must allready exists something that fills my needs.
    Does someone knows something?
    Thanks in advance

    You haven't said what parser is giving you these errors. Most XML parsers do not support XML Schema for validation: have you checked to make sure yours does?

  • Resolve Relative URLs in Http response.

    I am using java.net package classes to make Http calls to get HTML, which I display in a page (using JSP). Problem is that there are relative paths in anchor, images etc and so links don't work and images don't display. I would like to know if there is any way to convert relative urls to absolute urls.
    Thanks
    rcr

    I have found that ColdFusion has a tag CFHTTP that converts relative url to absolute url (by giving arttribute resolveUrl="yes"). I wonder how they do it.

  • CustomTag reading a relative URI on the webserver

    Hi All,
    I am coding a CustomTag which reads a servlet(it resides on the same webserver) output and prints in the UI when this customtag is included in any jsp.
    I am have some issues connecting to the servlet with relative URL. I can connect and get the servlet response by using
    URL url = new URL("http://localhost:9080/buildMenu/");
    URLConnection uc = url.openConnection();
    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(uc.getInputStream()));
    The above code works perfectly fine and i am able read the response. But to make this generic (working on any port and even in other environments)
    i am planning to reading using the relative path "/buildMenu" instead of full path. I was not able to find a way to do that. I would really appreciate if you
    can point me in the right direction.
    Thanks a lot.

    hi,
    am not sure..
    better you to try with
    getRemoteAddr()
    getRemoteHost()
    to get your Ip and
    add that into
    URL url = new URL( getCurrentIPhere + "/buildMenu" );

  • Filer.createResource ignores directory part of relative URI

    My annotation processor tries to create an output file called META-INF/persistence.xml in the classes output directory (i.e. -d option to javac). So, I wrote following code:
    final FileObject fo = processingEnv.getFiler().createResource(
    StandardLocation.CLASS_OUTPUT, // -d option to javac
    "META-INF/persistence.xml",
    null);This works as long as I pass -d option to javac. e.g., if I invoke:
    javac -d . Foo.java
    it creates *./META-INF/persistence.xml*. But, if I invoke
    javac Foo.java
    it creates *./persistence.xml*; where is my META-INF directory gone?

  • Xsl:include not resolving no matter HOW I load the xslt

    I cannot get *<xsl:include>* to work with XMLTRANSFORM in a PL/SQL environment in Oracle 11.2.0.3. I am exclusively working inside the database.
    I have a base XSLT which includes another XSLT using xsl:include. I want to load the base XSLT as an XMLTYPE and have it transform another XML document, as if the entire XSLT were one large document.
    I have loaded the base (base.xslt), the extension (include_with_base.xslt), and the combination of the two (entire_thing.xslt) in the XDB catalog. base.xslt has this statement inside its xsl:stylesheet node, attempting to include the other xslt:
    *<xsl:include href="/public/include_with_base.xslt" />*
    I have the xslts stored in XDB. This verifies they are intact:
    1. The base xslt which has the xsl:include statement in it loads just fine.
    select xdburitype('/public/base.xslt').getXML() from dual;
    2. The extension which is the target of the include reference in the base xslt loads just fine.
    select xdburitype('/public/include_with_base.xslt').getXML() from dual;
    3. The combination of the two, where I cut-and-paste all children of xslt:stylesheet from include_with_base.xslt into the xslt:stylesheet node of base.xslt also loads just fine.
    select xdburitype('/public/entire_thing.xslt').getXML() from dual;
    However, when I try to execute a transformation of some test xml using base.xslt, it fails:
    select XMLTRANSFORM(xdburitype('/public/xml_input.xml').getXML(), xdburitype('/public/base.xslt').getXML()) FROM dual;
    When I try to execute the same transformation of the same test xml using entire_thing.xslt, it works:
    select XMLTRANSFORM(xdburitype('/public/xml_input.xml').getXML(), xdburitype('/public/entire_thing.xslt').getXML()) FROM dual;
    When I perform the transformation using altovaxml and the two xslts are in the same disk directory (and I use a relative reference with no path information rather than an absolute reference like I show in the examples above), the transformation works just fine.
    What can I do to make XMLTRANSFORM work with an XSLT that has an essential <xsl:include ... /> reference in it?

    For fun, here's an implementation of what I would call the "poor man" include.
    The query takes the URI of the main stylesheet as input and recursively replaces all xsl:include directives with the content of the corresponding stylesheet.
    It supports relative URIs.
    Test case :
    */public/include1.xsl*
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
      <xsl:include href="./include2.xsl"/>
      <xsl:template name="test">
        <TEST/>
      </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    {code}
    */public/include2.xsl*
    {code:xml}
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
      <xsl:template name="test2">
        <TEST2/>
      </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    {code}
    */public/main.xsl*
    {code:xml}
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
      <xsl:include href="./include1.xsl"/>
      <xsl:template match="/">
        <xsl:call-template name="test"/>
      </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    {code}
    and the query that rebuilds the complete stylesheet :
    {code}
    SQL> select xmlserialize(document      -- for display purpose
      2           xmlquery(
      3           'declare namespace xsl = "http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"; (::)

      8                for $i in $d/xsl:include
      9                return replace node $i
    10                       with local:include(resolve-uri($i/@href, $href))/child::*
    11              )
    12              return $d
    13            }; (::)
    14            local:include($main_xsl)'
    15           passing '/public/main.xsl' as "main_xsl"
    16           returning content
    17           )
    18         indent
    19         )
    20  from dual;
    XMLSERIALIZE(DOCUMENTXMLQUERY(

  • Flex not resolving a DTD document

    Hi,
    I am trying to call a method on a java remote object. My
    server is set up fine because I have done this before but in this
    case the .jar file contains an XML file: AppSpringContext.xml and
    this is calling a DTD: spring-beans.dtd.
    Both of these files exist in the jar on the root directory.
    When the java developer runs his Unit Test it works fine, however
    when I attempt to call a method I get the following error:
    Line 2 in XML document from class path resource
    [AppSpringContext.xml] is invalid; nested exception is
    org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Relative URI "spring-beans.dtd"; can
    not be resolved without a base URI.
    Has anyone any ideas on this - PLEASE :o)

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you got an error when clicking on the Document ID link of an item.
    I recommend to rerun the time jobs: Document ID Assignment Job and Document ID enable/disable under Central Administration > Monitoring > Review Job Definitions.
    More information:
    SharePoint 2010 Document ID Feature

  • Problem with file URI for external DTD

    Hi All,
    I am getting UnknownHostException when i am trying to parse an XML data as InputSource
    to parser.
    The exception is thrown while to trying resolve file uri
    set for inputsource to locate DTD.
    The code works fine in of the Solaris machine but it throws this exception in
    one particular machine (solaris again). On both Weblogic6.0 with SP2 is running.
    The host "local" it says Unknown is infact a directory.
    I am unable to figure what is wrong. Please let me know asap the reason and if
    there is any solution.
    I am attaching the piece of Code and the Exception stack trace.
    thanks

  • Help a newbie get going w/ cldc

    Hello,
         I've been struggling for several hours now trying to j2me to work w/ a palm emulator. I'm becoming increasingly frustrated since at every turn I have to download another package to get this to work . So far, I've gotten the wireless toolkit, the palm emulator, the midp spec, the cldc source, and now it is telling me i need to compile that w/ gnumake?!?!? This is really frustrating, is there anywhere to download the binaries and just get coding? I don't want to become an expert in GNU stuff, I just want to write some palm apps...Any help is greatly appreciated...
