  • Multi Resource Scheduling (MRS) - resources not visible on Gantt chart mode

    I need your expertise help to resolve this issue.
    We are on MRSS 7.0 and ECC 6.0.
    When I run transaction /MRSS/PLBOORG, I am able to see the demands show up.
    However from resources point of view, I can see them on a table based planning but not able to see the resources in the Gantt chart mode.
    The user interface profile (for layout) is set up for 'Planning board for DPD Gantt' as well as for 'Planning board for Resources'.
    Reports to transfer the resources from ECC to MRS have been executed.
    Any help to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Venky

    Hi Mark,
    Check the following:
    1) You have run the report /MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF with transfer qualifications as checked. I guess (from your other post) this data is going in own HR box instead of MRS box (due to RFC issue)
    Check the table: /MRS/D_BAS_REQ
    If you solve the RFC problem, this should get solved automatically.
    2) When you created a Requirement profile, you need to attach it on the "Internal" tab of the operation
    Now check following:
    1) Right click on demand and select "Required Qualifications" -- It should show the qualifications
    2) Right click on Resource and select "Qualifications" -- It should show skills of resource
    If 1 fails - Order Qualifications are not transferred !!
    If 2 fails - Resource qualifications are not transferred - RFC issue (may be)
    If both are there then the suitable resource should work.
    If both 1 and 2 are not there then 100 % result is correct -- Because from the demand side no skill is required so each resource is qualified to do the job...

    one another question
       In msp how to create new view without interlinking with gantt chart or resource views

    Hi Shiv PMC--
    I splitted your question above in another thread in order not to have  a huge thread with many topics in it.
    That being said, I'm not sure to understand. A view is just a manner to display MS Project data with columns. A view can have a table with column (left part) associated with a Gantt chart. It can also just contain a table with no Gantt chart (like the task
    table) or a table with a timephased grid (resource and task usage).
    Please give us more information, maybe with a concrete example so we can help you.
    Hope this helps,

  • Steps to create Resource gantt chart with hourly ranges

    Does anyone have an example of how to customize the default built APEX/Anychart resource gantt charts to handle a 12 hour range showing resources? I have tried going through a sample provided by anychart tech support, but the xml file seems to have different set of entries.
    What I have is a set of rows for resources in a shop over a 12 hr shift that I need to show. I have a standard resource gannt working, but I need to customize some of the xml settings to see the date/time ranges..
    Any help would be a blessing!!

  • Display of Assigned Resource Units or % in Gantt chart

    Is there a way in P6 to show how many of a particular resource is assigned to a task in the Gantt chart view/layout? For example, a task may have (7) laborers, (2) electricians, (1) operating engineer, and (1) concrete pump truck assigned. The "Resources" column in the Gantt view only shows laborer, electrician, operating engineer, concrete pump truck. It does not show how many of each are needed.

    Go for the workaround.
    Create a text User Defined Field (UDF).
    Add the numbers in UDF exactly in order of resources view in Gantt Chart.
    Add the UDF as bar label next to Resources label.

  • Sort Resource Names in Gantt Chart view

    Hi,
    In Gantt Chart view I'm displaying resource names to the right of task bars but the order seems to be random by task. Is there any way to re-order or define an order for resource name in the Gantt Chart view.
    The defualt order seems to be the order in which they were assigned.

    Hi Pete,
    To the  best of my knowledge, no.  You can sort and renumber resources but it does not change the order.  You are correct, they show in assignment order.

  • Resource Utilization Chart issue

    Good afternoon,
    I have a slight problem that I am unable to resolve and hope you may be able to help.
    I have Planned and Production Orders loaded onto a resource, when I check the resource: periodic view in the Production Planning Table, I can see the orders are loading as required.
    If I go into the Detailed scheduling board and open up the Resource Utilization Chart, it is blank.
    I have double checked the PDS's and the Resource Master data (capacity profile) and all looks OK, I have tried different DS profiles with no luck.
    Am I missing something.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Resource Gantt Chart with Multiple Series (Apex 4.1.1)

    Hi,
    I am building a resource gantt and I want to show different types of entry in different colours.
    My series query is:
    select null,
    time_record_id,
    username,
    null,
    to_timestamp(to_char(event_date + (start_time/24),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI'),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI') start_date,
    to_timestamp(to_char(event_date + (end_time /24),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI'),'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI') end_date
    from
    oly_time_record
    where
    work_code = 'OFFICE'
    order by 5, 3;which works well to show me the times when a user is going to be in the OFFICE.
    I now want to add additional bars to the chart that shows me the times that a user is going to be 'WORKFROMHOME'.
    The 'OFFICE' time should show Green bars and the 'WORKFROMHOME' should show Red Bars.
    This is quite easy on normal charts, where you can add extra series but the Resource Gantt does not seem to allow more than one series.
    Does anyone have any ideas about how I can get what I need?
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
    there are a lot of examples of gantt charts in this forum.

  • Setting Custom XML = Yes in resource gantt chart removes start & end dates

    I'm having a strange issue with a Resource Gantt chart in Apex 4.0.2.
    I built the chart using the Wizard and changed nothing from the defaults. Everything looks/acts fine on the chart when Use Custom XML = No. But I wanted to change a couple things like cell alignment and width, so I set this to Yes and modified the column attributes in the XML code. After doing so, when running the report, the values for Start Date and End Date are not showing. This is happening in both the datagrid and the tooltips, but the timeline is still showing the right information (ie a bar from start to end), so I know it still knows what the correct start and end dates are.
    Thinking I accidentally messed something up, I deleted the chart and recreated it (again, from the wizard). This time, I went back and only set Use Custom XML = Yes but did not change anything within the XML code itself. To my surprise, the dates were still missing. If I set it back to No then they reappear.
    Has anyone seen this before and/or know a way to fix it?
    Thanks,
    ~ John

    Hej John,
    APEX itself is using a field substitution "&DATE_FORMAT." to insert the date format into the XML file. This field substituion is used in may location in the default XML. APEX standard action is to substitute it with the value specified in the Gantt Setting "Date Format". This substitution takes place many places in the default XML file.
    Enabling custum XLM also means disabling APEX XML handling, the substitution does not take place, the "&DATE_FORMAT." contains in this case a null value.
    The default XML file, which can be viewed in apex developer mode, looks like:
    Start Date: {%ActualStart}{dateTimeFormat:&DATE_FORMAT.}
    The runtime XML, which can be viewed in debug mode, contains something like:
    Start Date: {2011.07.21 00:00:00}{dateTimeFormat:}
    ...a null value is not a valid AnaGantt date format.
    Two solutions:
    a) insert a correct AnyGannt date formatter in the custom XML like
    Start Date: {%ActualStart}{dateTimeFormat%YYYY.%MM.%dd %HH:%mm:%SS}
    or
    b) create a field DATE_FORMAT on page containg the chart and intialize it with the AnyGantt date formatter like %YYYY.%MM.%dd %HH:%mm:%SS".
    When running the page the substitution will take place usually.

  • HELP!! How to use setData for a Gantt-Chart

    Hello,
    how can I use the function setData? I've created a page with a resource-gantt-chart and now I want to use this function to set the data to the chart.
    The chart has the attribute "static id" = GANT_CHART.
    In the HTML-header of the page I tried
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function SetDataToChart() {
    var data = &F_GANTT_CHART_DATA.;
    var chart = document.getElementById('GANTT_CHART');
    chart.setData(data);
    </script>
    where the item F_GANTT_CHART_DATA returns the following:
    <resource_chart>
    <resources>
    <resource id="3002" name="0400006/1" />
    </resources>
    </resource_chart>
    I call the function SetDataToChart() in "Execute when page loads"

  • Transfer Gantt Chart View color's automatically to Team Planner View

    Hi there.  My project has 7 different resources with various Resource Names ending characters.  I've automatically color coded the bars on my Gantt Chart based on resource allocation by using Flags 1-7, Custom Fields, and the formula IIf(Left([Resource
    Names],3)="xxx",Yes,No).  I then change the format of each bar style to the color I desire.
    I am looking for a way to automatically transfer the colors I have assigned the tasks in my Gantt Chart to the Team Planner view.  I don't believe there is a simple way to do this but would appreciate any help aside from manually formatting each of
    the tasks in Team Planner view.
    Thanks for the help!
    -Joe

    jbarrazotto --
    Alas, there is no way to do what you want with the Team Planner view.  This is because there is no dialog similar to the Bar Styles dialog where you can control the formatting.  Basically, the Team Planner view has definitions for Manually Scheduled
    tasks, Auto Scheduled tasks, Actual Work on tasks, External Tasks, and Late Tasks.  Using the corresponding buttons in the Styles section of the Format ribbon with the Team Planner Tools applied, you can control the fill color and the border color for
    every bar of one of those types.  But there is no way to add other buttons to the ribbon to control the Gantt-like bars that are shown in the Team Planner view.  So, what you want to do with the Team Planner view is not possible.  Sorry.
    Hope this helps.

  • APEX 4.0.2 Project Gantt Chart - Error Code: 2002 Message: Empty input

    Hi
    I have created a brand new page containing a Project Gantt Chart region. The Gantt chart is designed to track the progress of a job over time. The page has one chart series containing the following SQL.
    SELECT null LINK,
    stage NAME,
    rownum ID,
    null PARENT_ID,
    trunc(start_date) ACTUAL_START,
    trunc(completion_date) ACTUAL_END,
    decode(completion_date, null, 0, 100) PROGRESS
    FROM tracking
    WHERE job_reference = '889343'
    This SQL statement returns values from SQL Developer and from the SQL Workshop > SQL Commands from within APEX itself.
    The problem is that when I run the page the following error displays inside the region
    Category: 2000
    Error code: 2002
    Message: Empty input
    Environment Information
