Then you are just going to have to get used to the new options.

The plugin shows on the list as enabled and functioning, yet the tool does not show on the toolbar. It would appear that I need to restore the previous version of Firefox and wait until a newer release of the plugin is available before upgrading the browser.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places.  I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file.  There must be something else that's missing.  My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive.  If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess.  I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={  Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period.  I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive.  Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me).  As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

  • How to restore the previous version of an app?

    Hi,
I would like to restore the previous version of an iphone APP. I hate the new version. I deleted the new version of the app on my Iphone 4 and also on Itunes. I use windows 7 pro. Is there a way to get the previous version of that app? I use Itunes 11, which is the newest version I believe. I have done several backups this year and last year, if that helps. But I am not sure if the app was backed up as well. I know where the back ups are store in my computer. I dont know much about Itunes, can someone help please?
    Thanks,
    Strupar

If you have the older version in your recycle bin, or one of your backups, delete the current version of the .ipa file, then paste in a copy of the old one. In iTunes go to the apps section of your library and attempt to Get Info for the app in question. Normally the two versions will have slightly different file names so iTunes may ask you to locate the file, do so. On your device delete the copy of the app, then sync with iTunes. You'll need to disable all forms of automatic updating, and will lose any settings and data associated with the app.
Hmm, offhand I can't recall if automatic updating in iOS 7 is optional. Check that first.

  • FAQ: How do I restore a previous version of Photoshop Express?

How do I restore a previous version of Photoshop Express?
Case 1: You have updated Photoshop Express on your phone, but iTunes on your computer has the old version
    1. First, go to iTunes on your computer. In the "Apps" section, look for the Photoshop Express icon.
    2. Right click on the icon and go to "Get Info"
    3. Ensure that the version number reflects 2.7.2, if not, then proceed to Case 2.
    4. Next, delete Photoshop Express from your phone or tablet.
    5. Connect your device, then in iTunes, go to the device>"Apps" page.
    6. Scroll to find Photoshop Express and click "Install", then click sync.
    7. If you have made previous in-app purchases, open Photoshop Express and go to settings>Restore Purchases and enter your iTunes credentials
Case 2: You have already updated Photoshop Express on your computer
When iTunes updates an app on your computer, it automatically moves the old version to the trash. To retrieve it and install on your device, follow these steps
    1. Go to your trash and look for a file named something like "Photoshop Express 2.7.2.ipa" (depending on which version you had previously)
1A. If you have already emptied your trash you may be able to find this in a machine backup.
    2. Move this file to your desktop to make it easy to find.
    3. Go to iTunes, and in the Library section select "Apps".
    4. Look for the Photoshop Express icon, right click and select "Delete".
    5. Now, take the version you moved from the trash and drag it into iTunes.
    6. Connect your device, then in iTunes, go to the device>"Apps" page.
    7. Scroll to find Photoshop Express and click "Install", then click sync.
    8. If you have made previous in-app purchases, open Photoshop Express and go to settings>Restore Purchases and enter your iTunes credentials

iTunes only keeps one normal backup per iOS device. As you've found out, its an incremental backup in that only data that has changed is actually backed up or overwritten. You can view available backups under iTunes>Preferences>Devices. Any backups listed that are time/date stamped are backups from restore points. These backups are not overwritten. Do you maintain a backup of your computer data? If so, you might be able to retrieve a prior iPhone backup from your computer backup.

  • ITunes automatically download an updated version of an app which I do not want to. How can I restore the previous version of that app?

iTunes automatically download an updated version of an app which I do not want to. Please advise if there is way to restore the previous version of that app, without losing the data in that app.
    Thanks

Move the old file from the trash to /Music/iTunes/iTunes media/Mobile Applications/ folder.

  • I want to search Time Machine for an appointment that has been deleted from my current view of iCal.  Can I "restore" a previous version of iCal without losing all the entries I've made to the calendar since that prior date?

I want to search Time Machine for an appointment that has been deleted from my current view of iCal.  Can I "restore" a previous version of iCal without losing all the entries I've made to the calendar since that prior date?

No. I tried it on my Time Machine (I had just made one change today, so I knew I would not be left in the lurch if I failed) and when I clicked on restore I got this message:
It seems you have several options.  I chose 'Keep Both'.  I suggest that you proceed with your search.
    Ciao.

  • How do I restore the previous version of firefox

My version of firefox has automatically upgraded to the latest version (couldn't even tell you which that is because I don't know where to find the about firefox info), and I don't like the user interface. I don't have the time to get to grips with a whole new way of working and am perfectly happy with the older interface as I knew where everything was. How do I revert back to the previous version? (As a suggestion, perhaps it would be better to ask people if they want to upgrade or at least give them the option of rejecting the upgrade after trying it, instead of making wholesale enforced permanent upgrades!)

  • Restore to previous version of OS X using Time Machine

I made a backup of my iMac and then upgraded to Mavericks from Lion. I don't like Mavericks and wish to restore back to Lion. Is this possible? It it just a simple case of using Time Machine? Thanks

    Hello there Arucarn,
It sounds like you are wanting to revert to Mac OS X Lion from Mavericks after you performed an upgrade. The following article should help you do that, named:
OS X Mavericks: Revert to a previous OS X version
If you use Time Machine to back up your Mac, you can easily revert to a previous version of OS X if you experience trouble after installing an update.
Important: Reverting erases any changes you made to the files on your Mac since you installed the new version of OS X. To save new or revised files, copy them onto a different disk or back them up before you follow these instructions.
Print these instructions by opening the Help Viewer’s Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear) and choosing Print.
Choose Apple menu > Restart. Once your Mac restarts (and the gray screen appears), hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys.
Select “Restore from a Time Machine Backup,” then click Continue.
Select your Time Machine backup disk.
Select the Time Machine backup you want to restore. To restore your computer to the state it was in before you installed the new version of OS X, choose the most recent backup.
    Follow the onscreen instructions.
If you backed up files as described in the Important message above, you can restore them now. If you backed them up using Time Machine, open the Time Machine menu in the menu bar, choose Enter Time Machine, then retrieve your files.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

  • Restore a previous version of firmware

I have this issue (other post) about my nano reseting after about 1min of play on an audiobook. Going to Splasm's web forum the answer lies between Audiobook Builder and Apple. Since Apple is either ignoring the problem or taking their sweet time with a firmware update to fix this issue I was wanting to see if a previous version of the firmware works or does not work. Is there a method of loading previous firmware on an iPod or are you stuck always going forward and cannot go back?

If you have an older version of the iPod software on your computer, then you may be in luck.
First you need to remove the latest update from the iTunes/iPod updates folder.
On a Mac this is found in (name of)user/library/iTunes/iPod software updates.
Then prevent iTunes from checking the internet for a new update (preferences/general and remove the check mark from "check for updates automatically), then click restore.
You should then be asked if you want to use the previous version of the iPod software.

  • Firefox 5 is apparently incompatible with F-Secure anti-virus; F-Secure repeatedly pops up "Changed Application" messages; How do I restore my previous version of Firefox?

I just installed Firefox 5. Unfortunately, F-Secure's "Application Control" now repeatedly pops up "Changed Application" messages in an endless string. It will not accept my attempts to "Allow" the new version of Firefox. Since Firefox 5 is not compatible with F-Secure, I must return to my previous version of Firefox. I am very disappointed that you have put me to all this trouble. How do I delete Firefox 5 and return to the previous version of Firefox?

"F-Secure repeatedly pops up Changed Application"
So how is this Firefox's fault? Shouldn't you write to F-Secure so they fix that?
