Restrict user to view uploaded document in solar02

Dear All,
I have uploaded some document in Solution Manager vi solar02 transaction.
I want that only with my sapid documnet should view. With another login id document should not view.
Is it possible? please help.

here is a simple solution for you but, that requires some lines of ABAP but its still very easy and it works (tested on my Solman).
Create an enhancement for function module SOLAR_BUSINESS_CONTENT_FCODE at the beginning (1st line)
Insert following lines
if fcode = 'SA_DOCDISPLAY' and sy-uname ne 'I060172'. " Here put YOUR User ID
message 'You re not authorized to display this document' type 'E'.
endif.

Per my knowledge, there is no minimum permission level that allow users to view their own and other people’s draft documents.
This is based on the Draft Item Security setting you choose for your list in Versioning Settings:

How to Restrict User to View but Not Print a Document

Dear All,
I'm actually wonder is there a way where SAP can restrict users for instance they are able to view the PO, but unable to print it out. Is there a function or a query for such restriction? Please advise.

Dear Friends,
I have uploaded and linked a scanned document to SAP FI Document by transaction code OAWD by SAP Archive Link.
Say 1700000145,
Co.Co. BP01
Fis Yr. 2011.
Object BKPF
User is able to see the linked document in FB03 from Services for Object>Attachment List.
I want to restrict the user from printing the document.
I checked with Authorization Object "S_WFAR_KPR" & "S_WFAR_OBJ". But this did not help.
Can you please guide me how to handle this scenario.

Hi Mangesh,
Have you seen in roles , object for activities like create,change,display. Kindly check if you have a option for print in activity. from there you can restrict. But if don't find such a option then you can't control printing otherwise you have to restrict the user for displaying also.

I am using BO4.1, we have many report folders. We want to restrict users to have view access to only one specific folder.
Users dont have rights to view reports of other folder.
Please guide me steps to apply this restriction.

Hi Sonal,
I think the problem is with the Access level for that particular user.Just check whether the rights are not inherited from any group.
OR
You can try following steps:
1. Recreate the user.
2.Go to that particular folder which you want to grant View.
3.Right click and go to user_security -> Everyone -> select the user -> View security -> add principle -> available access level -> grant "view/full control" whatever grant you want to assign.
Now he can only view/modify that particular folder.

Transaction MB01 we are trying to restrict user to only run Document Type U

In Transaction MB01 we are trying to restrict user in Document Type in Purchase Order and restriction is only user can create Document Type UB (Stock Transport Ord. )
But I am create a dummy user and dummy role and assign MB01 to that role but it is not working I canu2019t understand why? What I can do wrong if nothing is wrong then what is the solution

Document types also use the "authorization group" concept. You do not grant access to them individually, but rather protect groups of them and then grant the access back again.
This means they are optional objects... --> which also implies that they are not the only objects...
If a document type is not protected by an authorization group, then there is no check... --> except for the mandatory objects such as the movement type to actually use the document...
This is normally explained, together with the customizing prerequisites, in transaction SU21.

How to restrict users in viewing CRM_DNO_MONITOR?

I want to restrict the users in the transaction code CRM_DNO_MONITOR. I tried it by creating a variant and then assignin that variant to the users via role. Also i tried using SE93 by creating another transaction code for the variant.
The problem is that when the user tries to run the transaction he is able to run it successfully but the output is BLANK or now rows returned even if I do not give any filtering criteria in the variant.
Am i missing anything?
It would be helpful if anyone can gimme exact steps for doing the same or any other method.
i want to restrict the users (message processors) for there respective module.
Please help me, this is very important as delivery time is near for the solution manager server.

Hi,
You can restrict the users from viewing crm_dno_monitor by removeing the access to that T code from the role and giving only the t-codes S_SMC_47000002(up to S_SMC_47000008).
With that role they will be able to access only the tickets assigned to them.

SM58 - How to restrict users from viewing all the idocs?

The users want to be able to use SM58 to view any idocs that have failed. Unfortunately they currently can access the IDOCS of all countries, in addition to their own country. Does anyone know how we could restrict them?
Or if there another transaction that we could ask them to use?

When i execute the NOTIF_CREATE tcode, I am asked to select the Ibase component. When I press F4 for search help one can view all the Ibase of all companies. I want to restrict the display of F4 search help so that one can see only his companies component.

Restricting appraisee from viewing Appraisal Document

Hi All,
We have an appraisal model where the appraisal document flows as below with respective doc. statuses
HR Admin (In preparation) --> Appraisee ( In Planning) --> Appraiser (In Process) --> Approver (In process/sent for approval)
When the 'Approver' approves, the document goes to 'Complete' status..
flow is working fine but the document is available to appraisee in change mode till the end (i.e. till it moves to complete status).
We have a requirement that it should not be available to the appraisee (not even in display mode) once it moves to In-Process status (i.e when it goes to Appraiser)
Please advice how to restrict it..
Note: Appraisal process is taking place in portal (ESS/MSS)

Go to SPRO - Personnel Management - Personnel Development - Appraisal Systems - Edit Appraisals Catalog
Select your template and go to column- column access
Check there Phase dependent access for owner
also check for column access in different phases for owners and others. There you have option to hide also in different phases.

How to restrict users from printing documents and exporting to local file

Hi SAP gurus,
I have two questions.
1. How can I restrict users from printing a document? i.e. billdoc? I would like to know if I could block it though authorization. If yes, what auth obj to use?
2. How to restrict certain users from exporting to local file? the System> List>Save-->Local File. I have tried restricting it using auth object S_GUI but it seems it is only applicable to older versions of SAP. im on ecc6.

Check this:
Create your own gui status and attach it to the list in the event START-OF-SELECTION.
In the menu painter extra -> adjust template.
Make it a list status and you will see all the standard list options appear including list->download
Deactivate the ones you don't want.
If you just want to prevent users from downloading the list you can achieve this with authorization object S_GUI, activity 61. Menu option will still be there though.
Please note that if you remove authorisation for S_GUI activity 61 then all downloads will not be possible.
If you just want to disable downloads only for a particular report, you can try this test program:

This issue got resolved.
SAP suggested to execute the program "FAGL_CORR_0001" for company code wise.
In ECC 5.00 from support pack 10 onwards two new fields has been added to table FAGLFLEXA. (earlier we are on support pack 9, recently we applied the latest support pack)
If we can execute the above program FAGL_CORR_0001, the two new fields will filled with relevant data and then we can able to use drill down option.

Restricting User-Defined Layout in CV04N

Hi All
A user having cv04n authorization can change the layout and save as User-Specific Layout. We may be giving various information via CHARS / Values and users add those to layouts and see
Now a User who do not have Authorization to a Document type , say FIN (for Finance) , can get the details in the CHARS and Values of FIN Document Type using cv04n, by modifying the standard layout.
Any Authorization to control user not to change layouts in cv04n...?
I have found one Authorization S_ALV_LAYO which restricts to make Global layout, but it allows to make User Defined layouts..
Any solutions to restrict User not to modify default layout in cv04n?? Or in way can we restrict User not to add CHAR s into search layouts?

Hi Aby,
We can restrict the user from viewing the documents based on document type and authorization group. This can be achieved by implementing BADI "DOCUMENT_SEARCH01" and interface "CHANGE_SEARCH_ORDER". Inside this we can do an authority check on each document (DOKAR), using standard authorization object for document type C_DRAW_TCD. And similarly authorization group (BEGRU) can be checked using auth obj C_DRAW_BGR can be checked.
The authority check can be done in following way,
LOOP AT EACH DOC.
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'C_DRAW_TCD'
         ID 'DOKAR' FIELD LV_DOKAR                              " LV_DOKAR is doc no.
         ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '03'.                                           " 03 is display mode
Similarly check for auth grp.

How to view word document from report?

We have one table with blob datatype and manage to save some document by creating form on this talbe. Through form we can see the document as default functionality of portal forms. But now we want to allow user to view this document from report as well.
We tried one Solution on WWDOC_DOCUMENT and its working for WWDOC_DOCUMENT table but we want to display from our user table's word document. ( Any relation between user table and WWDOC_DOCUMENT table of PORTAL30).

Found way around but facing another problem. Its worked fine for first time (means when i inseted documents and created report on same table).
But subsequent session it giving HTTP 404 file not found error.
Any clue?
