Restricting Further Changes to PO after GR or Invoice Posting

<b>Hi Everyone,
I have a requirement to Restrict buyers from doing any further changes to POs after the GR and or Invoice has been posted.
I have tried looking into the configuration in SPRO, but still I couldn't find any helpful solution.  Even the standard user exists are not very helpful.
Could anyone help me to resolve this issue?
Much Obliged.
Yousif.</b>

Hi Yousif,
You can restrict the chageability of the PO at the release indicator level.
Suppose if you set 'Changeability Indicator' as 1 for Release Indicator: 1 in SPRO--PO release strategies, you cannot change PO once it is released.
I dont think you have the changeability control at the GR & IV level.

Madhu.

  • SP2013 Content Approval Process, restrict status change on updates after Approval

    Hi ,
I had implemented the SharePoint content approval process for one internal requirement. Now, there is a need for modifying the content after Approval Status and by doing so SharePoint modifies the status as 'Pending' after edit. But, I have to retain the
    approval status.
Please share any thoughts on how to achieve this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    soundar

    Hi Soundar_SP,
After you edit the list item, then the approve status will change to pnending. This is by design.
There is no OOTB feature to achieve your requirement.
As a workaround, you can create a custom Approve workflow with start Approval Progress action and set the workflow started when item created.

  • Can we change the Currency in the PO after GR and  invoice posting

    Hi
Can we change the currency in the PO , Once after posting of the GR and Invoice.
If posssible please suggest me the steps.
    Best Regards,
    Sairam

    Hi  Sai,
I suggest  not  to change the PO Currency once the GR and Invoice  is Posted , As the  Reports which fetch the PO value will go wrong if we do that.
PS.  In ME22n System disables  the Currency feild once GR and Invoice Is posted.
    Thanks

  • How change profit center after FI document is posted

    Hello,
is there a way to change the profit center after the FI document is posted?
I have posted an vendor invoice and the profit center is wrong on general ledger and special ledger.
Can I update the profit center after the posting?
    Thanks a lot,
    Cheers, Emanuela

    Hi
If you are using EC-PCA, You can simply use 9KE0 to make the adjustment posting
IF you are using New GL PCA - You need to reverse the posting and make a new one

  • BTE - After FI Customer invoice posting - save txt file

    Hi Experts,
If I need to generate a txt file after the posting of a FI Customer Invoice, what BTE should I use? A P/S? or a process?
What about if the txt needs to be generated after the number has been assigned, but before the document is posted?
    Can I use 1025 and 1030?
If you can suggest alternative BTE's number, would be great.
    Many thanks!

  • Restricting TDS based on validation rules for vendor invoice posting

I have two Tax Types assigned in the vendor master. If at the time of invoicing user do not delete the unwanted tax types, system posts both the amounts related to both the tax types.
User has to necessarily delete one tax type which is not required and then proceed with simulating the vendor invoice.
Can this be controlled thru validation rules ? Even if the user forgets to delete the unwanted tax type while passing vendor invoice, validation rule must throw an error asking to delete the unwanted tax types before simulating the vendor invoice.
Please help how to build such validation rule with detailed procedure.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
I hope you have selected both withholding tax type and code at the vendor master level itself.
It is generally advisable to select withholding tax type at vendor master level and leave the field withholding tax code to be in display mode. Hence during vendor master creation, they can only select withholding tax type and not the withholding tax code. Ensure liable to tax should be ticked against all withholding tax types.
During invoice entry creation either in FB60 or in MIRO, they can select the withholding tax code next to the withholding tax type and simulate and post.
In your case, you cannot delete the withholding tax types at invoice entry level. Ensure to delete the unwanted withholding tax type from your vendor master itself, I mean delete only the withholding tax codes pertaining to that unwanted withholding tax type.
Hope this helps. Assign points if useful

  • How to forbid any further changes for PO (QTY and price ) after it has been

    Hi,
How to forbid any further changes for PO (QTY and price ) after it has been done GR and LIV? Thanks.

    Hi,
Price anyway cannot be changed once GR is posted on the PO item, it can be changed only by cancelling the GR, the same applies to IR too.
But quantity can be changed at any time.
So if you are looking at blocking qty too, then a customized message through save exit is the option, I am not aware of any standard SAP messages that can be configured to achieve this..

  • Restricting Changes in Delivery after proforma invoice is generated

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where i would like to restrict certain changes in delivery document for which proforma invoice is created so that the final invoice remains in line with the proforma invoice.
for. example. change in item quantity, adding another items etc.
is there any configuration settings for the same?

    Hello,
When do you create Proforma Invoice? After PGI or before PGI.
If you are creating Proforma after PGi then there is no issue as Delivery Cannot be changed after PGI.
If you are issuing Proforma Invoice before PGI then you will have to go for a Z-Development as there is nothing available in SAP Standard to fulfill your requirement.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

I am in need of help with someone being able to fill in and sign a form in Reader that I created in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  After that document is sign I need it to be locked from further changes.  Can someone please help

    Hi Suzette,
Once the document is digitally signed it will not allow further changes.
You might want to check the solution mentioned in the thread: Re: Convert editable PDF to read-only when sent in an email - JavaScript

  • How to prevent PO changes in ME22N after Order acknowledgement?

    Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me how to prevent PO changes (ANY) in ME22N after Order acknowledgement?
I would like to make it possible without release strategy process or authorizations.
Do you know some User Exit or Customazing way?
    Regards.
    Jaime S.

    Dear Jaime S,
You can do this by restricting in authorization SHDO and also by marking "changes not possible after release" in Release strategy procedure.
And also you can navigate the menu to, SPRO------>IMG------>Material Management--->Purchasing(OLME)------->Purchase Order---->Define screen Layouts at Document Level---->And go to ME22n And Select the right parameter and in this you can make it display, optional or required entry for the fields.

  • Excise duties can be changed in AP Invoice after raising excise invoice

After raising a GRPO and then Excise invoice, we should not be allowed to change the excise amounts in AP Invoice. Otherwise, this will lead to discrepancies in the accounts. Is there any way to restrict user to update these values. Not just the user, the system also updates these values when I change the unit rate (my excise is already calculated on the assessable value in the excise document)

    Hi
If u dont want to change the Unit Price or Rate in Invocie then Restrict the Authorisation for the end user to change the price, this u can easily achieve by Untick the Filed of Unit price in Formsettings and make authorisation to that user - "No Authorisation to Formsettings"
or U can Use SPtransactionNotification to valide ur process, so it will not allow to change the price..

  • To restrict the change of quantity of component

    Hi,
What is the most effective way to restrict the change of quantity of reserve material after the MO is release.
Considering the create , release and processing of the MO is done by separate user. My requirement is after the release of the maintenance order users should not allow to change the quantity of the material.
    regards
    DP

I'm assuming someone will be able to change these values (if authorised)...
    So there are several ways..
The easiest is probably to check the values when saving an order. If the user isn't authorised to change these values, then an error message can be issued.
Have a look a user-exit IWO10009 (at order save event) via TCode SMOD
Also investigate PPCO0023 (Checks changes to components)

  • How to change page type after the fact

In the application builder, I click on an application and choose Details in View.
I get the list of pages I have in my app.
    The page type column has:
    Interactive Report
    Navigation Form
    Dynamic HTML
    DML Form
    Chart
    Report
How do I change this column after a page has long been created?
Specifically, I want to the change "Dynamic HTML" to something else.
    Why?
Because on this particular page, tabs do not work (error: page not found).
Buttons created among a regions items do not work (same error, page not found).
I need to use tab and buttons to go from this page to other pages.
And I am suspecting the page type may have something to do with my problem.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

    Thanks for your consideration!
For my current app, a clinical management system,
I'd like to have, say, 1000 items.
(For other applications I am thinking about, but have no time,
nor expertise for now, I'd need millions of items,
each corresponding to a pixel of a graphic.)
Who cares if the current computers are too slow?
How about make it a parameter that can be changed
per app or per apex installation, and default to 100?
Some forms can be broken up logically, as people have helpfully suggested,
and I did follow that advise on some pages.
But other forms cannot be. People have put a lot of thought on designing
those forms, they are government or legal standards (or at least something more important
than computer performance), and people have been trained
    with those original forms.
Consider the hoops I have to jump through to get more than 100 items
on a page I am currently working on:
Generate the items (INPUT type="text" and INPUT type="checkbox") using PLSQL
    lots of htp.p('<INPUT ...>').
a JavaScript function to collect all the values on the page
and make up an XML string. submits this string to an application
process, and application process parses the XML string and does insert or update.
Another JavaScript to populate the items based on the current values of a row,
using an application process to retrieve the columns of a row.
There are about 150 items on this particular page.
All these are ok, because I was aware of the restriction of 100.
And because I wanted to generate my own HTML to mimic the original
    form anyway.
Then things started to go weird.
I need buttons to go back to another page. and I use tabs.
Buttons to go back from this page,
when a button is created with "Create a button in a region position",
    it works fine.
When a button is created with "Create a button displayed among this region's items",
it does not work, and I get HTTP 404, https://.../apex/wwv_flow.accept, page cannot be found.
But I need a button to work like the one created with "Create a button in a region position",
but displayed like the one created with "Create a button displayed among this region's items".
This is still not too bad. I saw the difference between the two kinds of buttons.
I copied the HTML code for the button "Create a button in a region position",
and used a display only item to create a Back button where I wanted:
    '<table class="t15Button" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><tr><td class="t15L"><img src="/i/themes/theme_15/button-l.gif"/></td>'||
    '<td class="t15C">Back</td>'||
    '<td class="t15R"><img src="/i/themes/theme_15/button-r.gif"/></td></tr></table>'
Here P145_BACK holds the page number to which I want this page to go back to.
Then I noticed that the tabs did not work any more. same error, page not found.
That's is when I got a little frustrated and posted for help on the forum.
Then I begin to undo my steps, and
by lucky accident, I noticed that, if none of the checkboxes is checked,
the tabs work fine. If at least one is checked, I get this error, page not found.
My current solution is to add a function of my own in the doSubmit(B) function in file apex_3_1.js,
    which unchecks all checkboxes (o.checked=false).
And now, from this page of about 150 items,
the tabs are ok, and I have a button that is similar to one
created with "Create a button displayed among this region's items", except I created myself
    using HTML.
I think this trick of using a custom function in doSubmit(), that unchecks or even hides
    INPUT type="text" items (o_div.style.visibility = "hidden"; o_div.style.display = "none";)
should work in general. this function is only invoked when the user clicks the tab,
or buttons among a region's items.
Somebody said regarding restrictions on drugs or sex.....
you will not make people stop, you just make it harder or more expensive.
Same here and many other things, a restriction is just making things harder.
People will try to get around it.
Now that I have a solution, and I am aware of the problem, I'll calm down and
go back to my own thing for now.
