Result of XML fields cannot  be bold?

Hi all,
When i load XML data in my RTF file the output result of some fields are not bold. I check the RTF and every field i want in BOLD is clicked to be bold.
How is this possible?
Thanks in advance,
Konska.

  • Check boxes, Radio Buttons, and XML Field Order

    I am working with Adobe Designer Version 7.0. Hopefully this forum can still address my issues.
    I am creating a registration form that will often be submitted via email to us for processing. To help make the data both easy to transfer for us into our excel file  and to minimize the errors made by the people using the form, I need the form to be able to do a couple of things that I am having a hard time figuring out. My questions are the following:
    I have a list of 7 check boxes that each insert a dollar value into a seperate numeric field on the form. Each check box has a unique dollar value associated with it. Is there any way to design the form so the user can only choose one of the check boxes? I tried using radio buttons in a group, but if a user mistakenly chose the wrong radio button and then selected another button from that group, it would add to the total in the Application Fee field and not subtract out the previous amount. Below is the code i used for one of the check boxes.
    I have two numeric fields that the user must choose one or the other. Can I design those two fields (numHomes and numBuildings) so that if the you enter a value for one field, you cannot enter a value for the other field? Both fields are then calcuated in a seperate numeric field. Below is the code i used for the numeric field.
    I want to be able to take the data emailed to us as an XML file  when a user submits the results via email and directly paste it into our Excel file. To keep the cut and paste process simple, I want to make sure the order of the XML fields matches the order of the database fields so it can be done in one shot. Do you know how to organize the XML fields? They do not seem to correspond to the ordering found under the Hierarchy tab. Any thoughts on this?
    Thanks
    if (this.rawValue == 1) then
           numAppFee.rawValue = numAppFee.rawValue + 350;
    else
           numAppFee.rawValue = numAppFee.rawValue - 350;
    endif
    numHomes * 50 + numBuildings * 100 + numDups * 10

    Create an XML Schema (XSD) and define that as the default form schema. The form data will conforms to the order of fields defined in the XML schema.
    Hope that helps.

  • Issue with Duplicate Results and Summary Fields

    My report is based on an Access Database. For the purposes of this current issue, there is the Master Table called u201CCnu201D and then a related u201CTable Au201D which includes multiple records related to the Master and also a related u201CTable B,u201D also with multiple records related to the Master.
    For my report, I want to output results from Table B based on criteria in Table A. This naturally produces duplicate output on the report. As a result, the Summary Fields that I want to include are incorrect.
    I have tried multiple combinations of the Select Distinct function, suppression based on u201Cprevious fieldu201D being equal, summary fields, running totals and if-then statements and still cannot find a solution that works in all of the cases involved.
    Below are descriptions of three different scenarios that are occurring:
    EXAMPLE #1: Entry 1 has 2 records in Table A and 2 Records in Table B so "Select Distinct" including the Table B ID # and then a Summary Field for the Total produces the correct results, while a Running Total is Incorrect.
    EXAMPLE #2: Entry 2 has 2 records in Table A and 1 Record in Table B so a suppression formula of the field based on the "Previous =" Table B ID # and the Running Total produce the correct results, while Summary Field is incorrect.
    EXAMPLE #3: Entry 3 has 6 records in Table A and 6 Records in Table B. Neither Summary or
    Running Totals produce correct results.
    I would greatly appreciate any advice in terms of creative formulas, etc. that would help produce correct results here.
    Iu2019ll be pulling my hair out soon! Thanks so much-

    Hi Berry
    Try to create a command with a subquery. The subquery will be returning the the duplicate records and the main query that uses this subquery will find distinct records out of the resultset returned by the subquery.
    Let me know if this helps.

  • "XML page cannot be displayed" error

    Using XML output on a table with more than a few rows falls over with a "XML page cannot be displayed" error. Sometimes only the error is displayed, sometimes some rows are displayed with this error at the end of the page (eg the DEMO_STATES table)
    Can anyone advise if there is some sort of limiter at work here?
    Thanks,
    Barry

    i'm pretty sure that error comes up when your browser (ie, specifically, i believe) can't render the xml data it's received. i'm also pretty sure, as the full message implies, it's because it doesn't know what style sheet to use when you go to that page. in short, it's a browser config issue. one way to bypass it (to at least prove that it's a browser issue) would be to create a link to your page, right click the link, and do a "Save Target As...". the resulting file will be your valid XML one. fwiw, i've had better luck controlling the manner in which my xml data is received when i use mozilla or netscape (but i'd imagine there's just some setting you'd toggle in IE to avoid your issue).

  • XML Page cannot be displayed error on interactive reports

    Hi, I am having trouble with a user downloading an interactive report as a CSV output. When a user tries to download the interactive report (as it is displayed when the web page loads, no alterations), they are getting this error:
    The XML Page cannot be displayed.
    Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the refresh button, or try again later.
    A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource 'http.............'.
    This is only happening with a small group of users which doesn't include me, so it has been very hard to troubleshoot. I can download the report and open in Excel without any problems.
    I am using Apex version 3.2 and IE 8. The user did not have multiple windows or tabs open logged into ApEx at the same time.
    Has anyone ever had this problem before? I could not find a thread with the same issue.
    Thanks!

  • How do I Load a clob from an XML field in an XMLTYPE using XMLTABLE ?

    I am trying to load data into a CLOB from a XML field using XMLTABLE.
    I have a SUMMARY xml field with over 100 K of data (potentialy)
    and I can load all the other datatype fields to columns but can not load the xml fields over 4000 characters.
    example
    First I create a table of XMLTYPE. I need to sqlload new files in at regular intervals.
    Create table WEB_XML of XMLTYPE;
    Then I create my relational table....
    create table WEB_WORKING
    request_id varchar(10),
    ref_number varchar(20),
    summary clob
    The I use the .ctl file to sqlload the xml data in
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE *
    INTO TABLE WEB_XML
    append
    xmltype(XMLDATA)
    ext_fname filler char(90),
    XMLDATA LOBFILE(ext_fname) TERMINATED BY EOF
    BEGINDATA
    XMLFILE1.xml
    After loading the WEB_XML table using sqlldr, I try to load my relational table using XMLTable
    INSERT into WEBBAR_WORKING
    request_id ,
    ref_number ,
    summary
    SELECT X.* FROM WEB_XML P2,
    XMLTable ( '//Request//REQUESTVIEW'
    PASSING P2.object_value
    COLUMNS
    "request_id" VARCHAR(10) PATH 'REQUEST_ID',
    "ref_number" VARchar(20) PATH 'REF_NUMBER',
    "SUMMARY" clob PATH 'SUMMARY'
    ) AS X;
    This gives an error saying its not expecting clob
    My XML looks somthing like
    -<Request>
    -<REQUESTVIEW>
    <REQUEST_ID>3140</REQUEST_ID>
    <ref_number>2003-04-02</RECEIVED_DATE>
    <SUMMARY>
    OVER 100 K of data
    </SUMMARY>
    </REQUESTVIEW>
    </Request>

    ok
    that helped lot, im getting there however some more help please
    This SQL
    SELECT request_id, recieved_by, X.SUMMARY.getClobVal()
    FROM WEB_XML P2,
    XMLTable
    '//Request//REQUESTVIEW'

    "request_id" VARCHAR(10) PATH 'REQUEST_ID',
    "received_by" VARCHAR(10) PATH 'RECEIVED_BY',

    If I use the X.request_id, X.received_by ......
    i get the error message

    But this SQL was successful in getting the clob by itself but with the XML tgs around it still, how do I strip the XML tags from around this result ?
    SELECT X.SUMMARY.getClobVal()
    FROM WEBBAR_XML P2,
    XMLTable

    Try the change below.  What I did was to create a named simple type for the AttentionTo node.  Here is my understanding (based on this working).  Because you have a simpleType the node cannot accept just any string, it has to be a string of
    the type in the simpleType.  That simpleType has no name (thus anonymous).
    What I did was to create a named simpleType and used that simpleType as the type for the AttentionTo element.  Then in my XQuery, I cast the value to the name of that type (AttentionToType in my example).
    CREATE xml schema collection Test as '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xs:schema xmlns:ns1="http://testschema" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:vc="http://www.w3.org/2007/XMLSchema-versioning" targetNamespace="http://testschema" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified" vc:minVersion="1.1">

  • SQL Query -How2bring multiple results into one field using Formatted Search

    Hi Everyone
    i am trying to bring in the results of the field dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT using a formatted search into a row level using the following query:
    SELECT     dbo.LOT_ITEM.LOT
    FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN dbo.LOT_ITEM ON dbo.DLN1.ItemCode = dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM
    WHERE     dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM=$[DLN1.ItemCode]
    however the result of the dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT field could be more then one value depending on how many lots are assigned for that item
    (for example this query would be similar to assigning batch/serial numbers to an item being despatched - as you can choose multiple batches/serials depending on the quantities available and required and then move from the left to the right side of the selection window) if that makes sense!
    is it possible to bring in the multiple results into one field? and how can i amend the above query to include this?
    Thankyou in advance :o)

    Hi Suda
    Thanks for replying :o) but im not sure about the query?
    just to simplify it (as the query im working with is to do with 3rd party addons) i have used the serial/batchs field instead and used standard demo database fields from SBO 2005 sp01:
    SELECT     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_IntrSerial
    FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN
                    dbo.ixvSerialNoFact ON dbo.DLN1.DocEntry = dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry
    WHERE     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.ItemCode='g1000' and dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry = '193'
    The above brings me the relevant results but when i change it to be used in a formatted search:
    SELECT     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_IntrSerial
    FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN
                    dbo.ixvSerialNoFact ON dbo.DLN1.DocEntry = dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry
    WHERE     dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.ItemCode=$[dln1.itemcode] and dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry = $[dln1.DocEntry]
    i cant seem to get it to work - now this may be because the serial number is not allocated until teh record is added to the system, however when this happens i am unable to go back in and manually trigger the query as the delivery note rows cannot be selected!
    i  think as what im originally wanting an answer for is same as this example, im wanting to know if this is even possible?
    Thanks

  • XSQL not delivering XML fields

    [Win AS2003/Oracle 10.1/OC4J Standalone 9.0.4/XDK 10.1.0.2]
    I am trying to do a query in XSQL that includes one field of XML. However, the XML field always yields the error:
    oracle.xml.sql.OracleXMLSQLException: Conversion to String failed
    This happens with a native XMLTYPE field, or if I use the XMLTYPE() function on a varchar field. The same XSQL files worked just fine under Oracle 9.2, so I'm wondering if my (cumbersome) installation of the XSQL servlet under OC4J is missing a jar somewhere--I followed the directions, but you never know...
    P.S.: Why did Oracle make XSQL so much more difficult to implement in 10g than in 9i? I had to install the Oracle HTTP server separately, which didn't include any java servlet engine, so I had to install OC4J manually (A real pain), then the XDK manually. It all just installed automatically in 9i.

    [been avoiding this issue, but now coming back to it]
    Felipe,
    The anchor in your URL didn't work, but I guess you're pointing to the following quote:
    ==============================================
    Oracle9i introduced the XMLType for use with storing and querying XML-based database content. You can exploit database XML features to produce XML for inclusion in your XSQL pages using one of two techniques:
    * <xsql:query> handles any query including columns of type XMLType, however it handles XML markup in CLOB/VARCHAR2 columns as literal text.
    ==============================================
    Which is a nice thing to say, except that I get the results described above, not what the documentation says I should get.
    Perhaps it is the servlet engine I am using (OC4J), but since it is an oracle engine, it ought to work.

  • Ps query results to xml using xml link function registry

    In People tools version 8.46 we need something like where the ps query result output is in the form of XML so that it can be used for external system. The catch I cannot use webservices. It is something like opening peoplesoft queires form excel using hyperlink but in this case we need xml. I looked at David Vandiver's Excel XML libraries which open the data in excel but is there something where the hyperlink output is xml using xml link function registry. I have capatured the data in rowset and now need to create mime type of xml to write the data
    thanks in advance
    vinn

    If I understand correctly, you want to use something like Microsoft Excel's web queries to get data from a PeopleSoft query in XML format. I have never done this before, but if I were to implement this, here is what I would do in PT 8.46:
    1. Create an unstructured message in app designer.
    2. Create a user that only has access to the queries you want to expose to Excel
    3. Write synchronous message handler PeopleCode to call SwitchUser to switch to a specific query user rather than the generic integration broker user and execute a query, returning the results in XML (see [Query.RunToRowsest|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13292_01/pt849pbr0/eng/psbooks/tpcr/htm/tpcr31.htm#d0e113933] for an example).
    4. Call the message through IB using the HTTP GET URL format as defined in PeopleBooks: [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13292_01/pt849pbr0/eng/psbooks/tibr/book.htm?File=tibr/htm/tibr33.htm#H4026|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13292_01/pt849pbr0/eng/psbooks/tibr/book.htm?File=tibr/htm/tibr33.htm#H4026].

    When trying to update my Mail Account Mailbox Behaviours settings, after making the changes when I try to close the settings pane the following messages occur: Invalid Incoming Mail Server The “Incoming Mail Server” field cannot be empty. The incoming mail server box has in light grey colour: p02-imap.mail.me.com in it and I cannot edit its content. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix it?

    Hi all,
    Mattreichenbach is probably on the right track here with a reset of settings.  I think I've determined the issue has to do with cached account information and inconsistencies for the account name.  This seems to crop up when I've changed my password and it hasn't propagated fully to all the servers, devices, certificates, etc.
    Hopefully many here are on their way to restoration of service by now but it's clear that a lot of people are having the same issues.  Very frustrating and definitely something Apple needs to resolve:  incoming mail server field grayed out, incorrect autopopulation of different fields, other unanticipated behaviors.  If you're still having issues, though, here's what worked for me...
    First, head to the iCloud preferences pane in System Configuration and choose "Sign Out".  When I did this it prompted me with a number of "are you sure" type questions about retaining information on my local machine.  I chose to delete/remove the info each time simply because it should all be restored by the cloud and I didn't want to risk a massive duplication of my data... I will say, I'm back up and running with no issues so I suspect you can make the same delete/remove choices...  But use your own judgment.  I don't want you to lose any data (ie.. please use care as you do this because I cannot bear the thought of causing anyone to experience the pain of data loss).
    Once you've signed out of iCloud, restart your system.  When you get back in, head to the Mail, Contacts and Calendars section of your System Preferences and add your account back by choosing the brushed aluminum "iCloud" button.  When it asks for your account name, use your @iCloud.com email address.  I am all but certain my issue had started because one of my devices (iPhone or whatever) had been set up with an email alias specified instead of my @iCloud.com address.
    Apple, if you're reading through any of these issues (there are TONS of users having this same problem).  Take note, that your icloud service somewhat frequently is not responding and yet tells the user that the password is wrong and this prompts people to be changing their passwords unnecessarily.  This has happened to me on numerous occasions.  Also, I noticed that last week's outage corresponded to a VERY similar outage exactly one year ago to the day.  Sounds like planned maintenance to me and I think you could do a better job notifying folks so we're not wasting HUGE amounts of time troubleshooting a problem that we have no hope of fixing.
    Hope that helps some of you!

  • This field cannot be updated as there are open sales order lines

    When trying to enable Item Attributes then I am getting a message "This field cannot be updated as there are open sales order lines". I cancelled the Sales Order ( which was having only 1 sales order line and that is also cancelled) but still I am getting the same message.
    How to overcome this problem.

    Thanks Karthik & Sandeep........
    Issue got fixed. There was an open Sales order Line because of that line the issue was coming. After cancelling that SO Line, Users were able to update the Item field.

  • Error message in .docx : 'Open XML file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents. Details Unspecific error Location: 2'

    I have put a lot of work into a docx document on my Mac, but now can't open it as it gives the error message: 'the Open XML file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents. Details, Unspecific
    error, Location: 2'
    When opening the original file the message said: 'this file contains word 2007 for Windows equations' etc. but I managed to track changes fine, and saved, closed and re-opened it numerous times without problem. Some graphs seemed moved, and various formulas
    were illegible, but no other weirdness was observed.
    I have microsoft 2008 installed on my Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
    I've tried to fix it using various solutions suggested here, but am afraid am too IT illiterate to have had any luck, please help I'm new to all this!

    Hi,
    This issue is related strictly to oMath tags and occurs when a graphical object or text box is anchored to the same paragraph that contains the equation.
    Please use the "Fix it" tool in the following KB article to resolve the problem. See:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2528942
    Hope this helps.

  • XML Page cannot be displayed An invlaid character

    While testing a report, I have noticed two issues and I believe this is the correct forum for the subject.
    A report is completing successfully with a completion status of Normal in the concurrent manager. The report has data. However upon inspection of the XML of the request (Diagnostics -- View XML) the following error message appears
    The XML page cannot be displayed
    Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
    An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource 'http://sinudy07.devtst.go2uti.com:4110/OA_CGI/FN...
    <ITEM_DESCRIPTION>Office supplies
    Upon inspection of the data, it appears that the offending character is an ACSII 150.
    Can you provide a solution by which alphanumeric data is properly handled in XML? Is this an encoding issue?
    Why does XML Publisher exit successfully when it has an error? When this error is detected, I am assuming that the report is incomplete, but to the end user it looks complete.
    Many thanks for your suggestions and advice.
    Tom

    Is the error message displayed in Firefox or in IE, or in a customized window that doesn't identify the browser?
    ''If it displays in Firefox:''
    It's possible that the Troubleshooter doesn't work correctly unless IE is your default browser. You could test that possibility by having IE make itself the default and testing the Troubleshooter again.
    ''If it displays in IE or embedded in another Microsoft application:''
    In a web search I found these suggestions:
    (1) Reset your Internet Explorer settings, according to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_7/cannot-view-xml-using-xsl-style-sheet/ccfe80c6-c0db-4594-a7e3-475f9eac0e85
    (2) Try the System File Checker, according to http://ask-leo.com/why_do_i_get_the_xml_page_cannot_be_displayed_after_running_a_microsoft_troubleshooter.html
    Any luck?
