Hi,
in a retail scenario the price of material changes very frequently, how do we model it?. Please brief me the important considerations on the R/3 and BW side.

               Thanks for your reply/ I have also tried 0RT_C36 cube. Values are still coming negative. I have used 2LIS_03_BX instead of 2LIS_40_S278.I have also choosen industry sector as retail. I have also checked BW in tcode BF11. There is no data as of now in 2LIS_40_REVAL. But still the values are negative and not matching with stock in ISR systems.I have also done compression and marker updates the way we do for 0IC_C03.
    Can you please advise. Is there any special config for ISR scenario.

  • Distribution of MC with  CHRMAS and CLSMAS in Retail scenario

    Hi guys,
    I know that I can use WGSE or  BD91/BD92. for distributing Merchandise Categories (MC). But is is possible to trigger  CHRMAS and CLASMAS with change pointers scenario in case of Retail system. I have set change pointers in BD50. But they are not triggered when using wg22  .

    Solved by my self. Do not forget to trigger BD21 to process change pointers.

    Hi all,
    We are trying to map functional requirement of a Retail supply chain to R/3 system .
    Can any body help us on following ponits
    1. Demand Plan
    How is it generated in sap?
    what are the configuration settings
    We need to provide reports on total duration the product has been at each node of supply chain
    2. How is a product placement schedule made in R/3
    how the manufacturer allocates products to the retail shops , where and how the customisation is done.
    3. Inventory plan
    How can we track the material after it is sold to retailer at it’s various Retail stores
    We need to give details like duration for which it has stayed at the retail store
    Retail store’s with zero inventory versus total no of retail stores for each sku
    4. Transportation Plan
    How is transportation planning done for each product for a  year/month/week

  • Retail - article follow up / material determination

    I would to know the possiblity of material determination / article follow up in Retail scenario.
    The material should be substituted with material already maintained for replacement/follow up for the 'sales orders'.

  • How to find the list of WDAs for IS Retail?

    Hi all
    I did some basic search on SDN to find all WDA components SAP will predeliver on the installation of IS-Retail. I could not find useful links. Does anyone know how to find it? Also would like to know the SAP roadmap on the WDA apps that will be built in the future.
    The idea is when I go to a customer for IS Retail implementation I should be able to tell him if he can get out of the box browser based UIs. Please let me know a way to find it.

Yes I would need to know the technical components but only after understanding at a more broader level what SAP offers in terms of pre built UI (WDA) for retail scenarios. Do you see what I want? SAP offers pre built UI for ESS MSS, what is available similarly for Retail?

  • Allocation Table / Consignment Scenario

    Hello Friends,
    I have done the consignment retail scenario. When we do normally it is working fine.
    But I do allocation table and generate follow on documents , I am getting Vendor PO and Warehouse orders.
    I am able to do consignment GR for the Vendor PO.
    But the Ware houe orders are not ready for delivery. Meaning when I do VL10B , I am not getting it in the delivery due list.
    Any one experienced the problem , pl zhelp

  • Suggestion/opinion in scenario mapping  required-PLEASE

    Hi,
    I have a typical retail scenario and I seek expert suggestion opinion on this.
    In a scenario where materials are purchased from different vendors and received.
    Later they are sold to customer/s through direct selling or mass market  and also sold to other company of the group via ICT process at the cost.
    Goods are also transferred to other company via ICT process.
    These goods are having different combination while they are being sold.
    To give a classic example:
    Company orders for say pens of different size and different colors each defined as a different mat code.
    They are ordered in hugh quantities and sold in the mass market either in several quantity or a single piece.
    Most often what happens is that looking at the market trend company packs different types of pens in one pouch and sell them either through mass market or through consignment.
    Sometimes they create hugh quantity of packs in anticipation that they will get sold.
    However it also happens that some customer is interested in buying those packs in bulk quantities but only thing that he insists is that he wants to have a different type of pen out of several pens in the pouch already created.
    Suppose a pack consists of pens of same type but of colors black,blue,green and all having differerent material codes.
    Customer is intersested in buying this pack in bulk quantity but his only requirement is that instead of balck he would like to have a red pen in each pouch.
    Company does not want to lose this customer at any cost since he has shown interest in buying a very hugh quantity.
    This is one of the typical examples and this type of things are very common in such type of retail business.
    <i><b>Our scope is very limited in the sense that we have to map this business right from procurement to sell with standars MM/SD/FI functionality.</b></i>
    There are hundreads of businesses who run similarly and have implemented SAP.
    In the given context I need opinion from you experts on how to map following scenarios
    1..How to create pouches/value packs
    2..How to change the combinations if a specific customer requirement comes to alter the combination as stated above
    3..how to handle returns.
    Our approach:
    For creating pouches/packs, we are planning to use MM subcontracting functioanality whereby packs will be created inhouse but will be treated as subcontracting by having a logical vendor created in the system.
    <b>We have restricted the creation of packs to one level BOM only</b> and also we will restrict creation of BOM to one instance only so that we will not have any alternate BOM created for the same parent material(separate item code that we will be creating for the entire pack) and child materials(different types of pens with aseparate material code) combination.
    This will ensure that if already a pack has been created with the combination of components mentioned above ,system will not allow if someone tries to create another pack for the same parent child combination.
    Meaning that there are no versions available & tracking becomes easy.
    The only worrying factor is that these types of  pack  creation activity(value packs) is very frequent in this type of business.
    Users will not accept to create a different material for the value pack and subsequently to create bom and then do subcontracting to have the stock <i><b>every now and then</b></i>.
    <u><i><b>Also how to handle the issue of changing the component of an already created pouch.</b></i></u>
    Has anyone mapped  such types of things in standard functionality of MM SD.If so request you all to share your suggestions/views on this.

        There are 3 companies i.e., ABC, X123 & Y789.
    1. Create a service contract in ABC for X123 as Service Provider. Prerequisite is Create X123 as the vendor in ABC company.
    2. Create the Service order based on that in ABC.
    3. Create a service contract in X123 for Y789 as Service Provider. Prerequisite is Create Y789 as the vendor in X123 company.
    4. Create the Service order based on that in X123.
    Then do the normal proceedings. Correct me if I am wrong.

  • In Retail, variant sales price shouls be diff from its Generic

    we are using generic article in retail scenario. our client has requirement that variant sales price may be diffrent from generic price.
    for this i am maintaining pricing profile in basic data for generic article '1'.
    but in the sales view when i am checking sales price, final price is showing in display mode whereas it shouls be in change mode.

    Hi do the following
    In generic artilce basic data view, Set the indicator as blank in pricing profile -      
    (Variants priceable diff.; do not propose GMaterial as ref.)
    Save the article, now change the price using following options:
    Option 1: go to change article of variant article and click sales view , ichange price in 'net
    sales price'  or change the markup% and save article
    Option 2: Go to VKP1 - change the markup and save the sales price calulation
    Let me know still its not working, i am able to do the above things.

    Dear folks,
    Currently, my company is a whole sale company, we are not running R3 Retail now. But we are planning to start a project to connect our R3 system to a online store system. The online store system is a platform that consumer can directly place the order and track the delivery status. This is a typical retail scenario.
    It is very likely that we will not have the SAP retail module active for this project. I read some post in this forum with regarding SAP retail: a common way to handle retail is a direct material consumption posting with movementyp 251 and a billing document creation based on the IDOC document. But this request some configuration in SAP retail, POS,inbound profile, etc. Is this correct?
    My question is, we are considering to do similar things, but without activating SAP retail.
    1. post a material document with mty 251
    2. create a billing document
    We may use the IDOC or RFC to accomplish this, is this possible? And can someone advise what is the billing document type for this kind of posting? Thanks for any advice.

    Yes, we are not going to use SAP CRM or SRS.
    The online store is a national wise platform where the consumer can place the order directly to us ( lot of Brand open the stores on the platform, B2C scenario, so this is a very important channel). You can imagine it as a POS in internet. But this store is only receiving the orders, no follow-on functions- dispatch the orders, pick, pack - these activities need to be handeled by a 3rd party software which strenth is the e-commerce business. What we need to do is to connect the 3rd party software (OMS + WMS) to our SAP. We are considering to transfer the sales and shipping information back to SAP periodically to generate a 251 material document plus a billing document.(as the pick/pack PGI is dealt in 3rd part WMS, i dont see the necessarity to have the sales order in SAP, right?) So we may have the interface to the OMS system to fetch the sales information and the shipping status. I dont have much experience on this, so asking for some technical detail here.
    1. First of all, i am wondering if this is feasible...
    2. Billing type... is it possible to create the billing without the delivery and sales document

    Is it possible to use an external product configurator within a CRM-ERP LORD2 scenario?
    My customer has a running webshop with an own configuration UI (java based) which is connected through badis with the ECC.
    And now we implemented in SAP CRM the ERP Quotation.
    Instead of rebuilding the varionatfunctions ord attributes seting the customer thinks about to intgrate the existing "konfigurator" of his web shop.
    Is there anyone who knows the interface
    Basic Functions -> Product Configuration -> Settings for External Configurators.

    Hi Stuart,
    You have to notice that in order to user R/3 BOM in CRM,
    you have to download object BOM (tcode R3AC1).
    But downloading object BOM into CRM only possible if
    your R/3 is Retail scenario (unfortunetly mine is not).
    Next thing I am going to test is, create Knowledge Base
    in R/3 (choosing the type = BOM). after that in CRM
    download using standard configurable object SCE.
    If this successfull, we can see the configurable in
    the Material Master CRM.
    I am going to try this in couple days, please try it
    first and let me know the result.

    can u tell what is use of layout tabs in IS RETAILS.

    In IS retail the enterprice architecture will have a DC associate with several stores (in sap terms these store and DC all are plants only). Practically in retail scenario, every month or fortnight a new store would be opened. These store would maintain material in a special order to improve the customer attraction.
    Based on the consumer behaviour in a particular region the products will be kept in shelf in some order. For example if the organisation gets Rs.10 profit / Medimix soap where as it gets Rs 15 Profit / Lifebouy. So the company needs to arrange the shelf in store in such a way it contains more no of Lifebouy in Row with some special tags and some less no of Medimix. This will enhance the customers interest in purchasing new attractive one which is available plenty in quantity.
    The model that is used for arranging the products in shelf or rack or cupboard of store in such a way to increase the profit and presentability is called layout. It is also called planogram. Because this layout will be planned few months in advance. This is done in advance to intiate procurement and replenishment of product for new store.
