Retrieving cFP's IP address

Hi,
From my embedded LabVIEW, I would like to retrieve the IP address of the cFP controller it is running on.  How can I do this?
I can easily do this from my Host by using the Ping Controllers.VI.  But I would like to do this on the RT target (Ping Controllers.VI did not work -- timed out -- when embedded).  Something similar to the IPCONFIG command, but for RT, would work.
Thanks in advance!
-Khalid

Another way of doing this on a PC is using String to IP followed by IP to String (both from the TCP palette) with Dot Notation set to True.
I can't test this on a FP at the moment, but I think it will work.
Try to take over the world!

  • I would like to ask how to retrieve Sever/Host IP address.

    Hello,
    I would like to ask how to retrieve Sever/Host IP address.
    sys_context('USERENV', 'IP_ADDRESS') returns client's IP address only, but what I want to acquire is Host/Server IP address
    Thank you

    This is why it is generally useful to mention the version of Oracle you are using, particularly if you are using a version 4 releases old...
    That said, you can probably still use the UTL_INADDR package
    SQL> select utl_inaddr.get_host_name( null ) from dual;
    UTL_INADDR.GET_HOST_NAME(NULL)
    DDBCJC01
    SQL> select utl_inaddr.get_host_address( null ) from dual;
    UTL_INADDR.GET_HOST_ADDRESS(NULL)

  • How to retrieve the client IP address when Apache acts as a proxy for Tomca

    Hello,
    I am trying to retrieve the client IP address accessing the web
    services. Because Apache is our proxy for all requests, when I try to
    retrieve the client IP I always get the localhost IP: 127.0.0.1
    The following code returns the localhost IP:
    MessageContext msgContext = MessageContext.getCurrentContext();
    if(msgContext != null) {
    return msgContext.getProperty(Constants.MC_REMOTE_ADDR).toString();
    return "Unknown";
    From a servlet, obtaining the client IP address can be achieved using
    this code.
    String ipAddress = request.getHeader("x-forwarded-for");
    if (ipAddress == null) {
    ipAddress = request.getHeader("X_FORWARDED_FOR");
    if (ipAddress == null){
    ipAddress = request.getRemoteAddr();
    return IPaddress ;
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much

  • Question about the ECC6 migration and the retrieving of partner's address

    Hi experts,
    I have already post a thread about the use of the table BUT021_FS instead of BUT020 for retrieving partner's standard address.
    I do modifications to my specific programs.
    But what about the standard?like BUA_BUT020_SELECT_WITH_PARTNER for example
    If I read the standard code, I see that it is still using the indicator XDFADR to specify if this address is standard or not.
    I am new at ABAP and I want to know your analyse about it.
    So, my question is : Is the result of this FM (partner address) correct? what I mean to say if I will use this address to determine if it is a standard or not.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
    I understood what you mean but I don't use this FM explicitly.
    I am analyzing a CRM 7 dump and I see in the traces of st22 the use of this FM.
    The dump appears when I create new Organization and Contact in CRM WebUI. May be it's a validation of fields of address.But I think, I must put this other thread in CRM, but I you had some experience with it, it would be very helpful.
    Thank you for your help,
    Best regards.

  • Can I retrieve deleted contacts from Address book

    Can I retrieve deleted contacts from address book on my mac or contact list on my iphone?

    Yes if you have been backing up using Time Machine it should be pretty simple. If you haven't been backing up then they're gone.

  • [EWS 2007] Retrieve current user email address.

    Hi all,
    We're building a Javascript frontend that interact with the EWS directly. Since user is authenticated via NTLM (browser), the Javscript do not aware the username and password. I am wondering if there are any way we get retrieve user's email address after
    authenticated in EWS?

    Have never came across a direct method that gives email-address of logged in user, but you can do simple hack by creating a PostItem and then getting email-address by its PostItem.getFrom() method, something like :
    PostItem postItem = new PostItem( service );
    postItem.setBody( MessageBody.getMessageBodyFromText("Test for email-address " ) );
    postItem.save();
    postItem = PostItem.bind( service , postItem.getId() );
    System.out.println( postItem.getFrom() );
    postItem.delete( DeleteMode.HardDelete );

  • Retrieving specific information (email addresses) from Active Directory in text/Excel file

    Hello, out there. I'm just beginning to learn PowerShell finally, I'm very interested in learning cooler and better things.
    I wanted to know if retrieving information from Active Directory based on a text or spreadsheet file was possible.
    An example: I have a list of Windows Usernames from an Excel file, and I need to pull what email addresses they have from AD. They're a part of different OUs either. Rather than manually look up each individual account I'm researching a way to grab this
    info.
    I would very much appreciate a push in the right direction.
    Thank you!
    LiQuiD_FuSioN

    Hi,
    Sure, that's definitely possible. You can use the Active Directory cmdlets to retrieve this information. Here's an example of reading input from a text file (just usernames in the text file):
    Get-Content .\userList.txt | ForEach {
    Get-ADUser -Identity $_ -Properties EmailAddress
    You can also read input from a CSV file quite easily. This example assumes a header of Username:
    Import-Csv .\userList.csv | ForEach {
    Get-ADUser -Identity $_.Username -Properties EmailAddress
    Finally, here's a link to the Get-ADUser syntax:

  • Retrieve multiple e-mail address and send mail to multiple recipients

    Hello,
    I wonder if somebody could help me...at least with the clue to do the following.
    I have a form, with a textarea , where the people should put the e-mail addreses of all the people that later will receive all the form data via e-mail..
    I do not know how to retrieve all this e-mail addresses from the textarea (format?) and then how to send the e-mail to multiple recipients .
    It works for one...but I do not know how to do this for several recipients...
    could you please help?

    There is a setReceiptants method on the Message object.
    http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/javadocs/javax/mail/Message.html#setRecipients(javax.mail.Message.RecipientType,%20javax.mail.Address[])
    You will need to create an array of Addresses to feed it (just make space, commas, and semi-colons be tokens in your string and iterate it to create the address array)

  • CFp-1808 IP address

    I am trying to setup a cFP-1808 and in Max (5.0.0f1) am getting to the screen that needs me to put in the device IP. What is the device IP or where would I find that? I will be using LabView2011 on a XP computer.
    Thanks
    Gerald

    The Windows firewall was blocking the 0.0.0.0 IP address for the initial setup.
    Turned off the firewall and the Field point cFP-1808 popped right up turned the firewall back on it is seems to be there.
    Now it has been a long time since I worked with field point but the Field Point tool pallet does not show up and the Field point does not show up in the start: Program: National Instruments menu. I will ask that question in the LabView part of the forum.
    Thanks

  • HT1414 I recently cancelled mobil me, then I lost all my contacts...no problem I retrieved them from my address book on my mac pro.  NOW I can't update my apps when asked.  My password is not accepted.  The print says to use my mobileme account...  Yikes

    Please help me figure out why I can't update my apps or get new ones...Thanks.  I recently cancelled my mobile me account and a lot of strange and frustrating changes have taken place

    I thought I finally found the answer in post https://discussions.apple.com/message/10843915#10843915
    I deviated from the instructions by manually deleting all my contacts while in Mobile Me before trying the forced update because it hadn't worked in the past to force transfer the addresses. I thought starting with a clean slate might be a step ahead. Now that clean slate seems permanent.
    The gutsy move was to make Mobile Me download the empty address book into my MacPro. My address book went empty until I restored it through the archive I'd saved. It proved the computer and Mobile Me are communicating since it wiped out my address book on my desktop. I restored everything by importing the archive back into the address book. Thankfully that part is fine.
    What is not working is for me to get ANY addresses to move back to Mobile Me despite repeated attempts at changing the reset action through the advanced selection of Mobile Me in System Preferences. I've unselected syncing and restarted the computer. I've signed out of MM and signed back in. I've closed the browser and opened it fresh again. I've closed and opened Address Book on the computer. None of those actions make a whit of difference. Mobile Me contacts remains empty when I tell it to replace MM with the contents of my AB on my MacPro.
    I see under the gear there is an ability to import vCards. Is there any way to do a batch import? I have almost 700 addresses separated into more than a dozen groups. It will be a mighty tedious process to import them one by one.
    No, iCloud is not an option. My computer is one version too old to upgrade to Lion.

  • How to retrieve the server IP address

    Hi Experts,
    In my scenario, if some problem occur, then the XSLT mapping sends a mail to some one,subject is 'PRD', if we execute this from production or quality or development server.
    But now i want to know this mail from which server, so i want to change the subject line as 'PRD' if it is only from production system otherwise 'OTH', how to achieve this ? No hard code allow at any where.
    I have one thought, if we find the server ip address then we can recognize, but how to get the server IP address ? Is it possible ?
    Thanks

  • UNABLE TO RETRIEVE THE CLIENT IP ADDRESS AND HOST NAME OF A PORTAL USER

    page ?

    Brijesh,
    Do you mean how to see hostname/ip address of client requests processed by the server? If yes, depending on what's your front ending component - Web Cache or OHS, you can configure the access log format to have this information recorded in either of these component's access log file.
    For Web Cache access log file, refer this:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/caching.1012/b14046/diagnostics.htm#sthref2090
    For OHS access log file, refer this:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/web.1012/b14007/servlog.htm#sthref439
    By default, both Web Cache and OHS are configured to use Common Log Format (CLF) that does record hostname/ip address so if you haven't made any changes to log format, this info is already there for you. Look for $ORACLE_HOME/webcache/logs/access_log file for Web Cache and $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/logs/access_log file for OHS.
    Thanks
    Shail

  • How to retrieve client's IP address in servlet

    thanks

    getRemoteAddr()
    Returns the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the client that sent the request.
    Was that what you wanted?

  • How to retrieve available (server)-IP addresses on a LAN

    Is there a method to get all/the available (server)-IP-address(es) on a LAN from the host program?
    As far as I understood the samples (e.g. in tcpex.llb) the host (or it's operator) has to know the IP-address of the server to start communication. However it would ease the usage of a host-program if all/the available server(s) could be selected e.g. from a list-box.
    I posted this question already yesterday with some additional explanations however couldn't find it in my "posted questions"-list. So I try again.

    You don't tell us enought about the type of "servers" you mean. Are these all LabVIEW programs? In this case it should be relatively easy for them to keep each other updated at regular interval, e.g. via UDP multicasts.
    Alternatively, your servers can announce themselves via a UDP packet to the subnet broadcast address and to a specific port.
    If these are servers with code not under your control, you need to probe them. This is not such a big deal on your private LAN and I don't think it will trigger IDS systems. Keep a short list of all possible server IPs, then try to connect at the specified port at regular intervals using a short timeout.
    Are you communicating with TCP or UDP?
    In the absence of firewall code, you can have 3 possible responses for TCP:
    (1) No response --> The server computer is down (or there is a stealth personal firewall running). You get a TCP timeout error.
    (2) Active rejections (TCP RST packet) --> The server computer is up, but the server program is not running. Nothing is listening on the target port. You'll get an error.
    (3) Accepted connection (SYN-ACK) packet. --> The server is up and listening for connections. The threeway handshake can be completed. No error.
    UDP is a bit trickier, because it is connectionless. Many UDP services are one-way. For example a syslog server just receives packets, it never acknowledges anything.
    It is easy to tell if the server computer is up, but the service is not listening. In this case you get an ICMP(3,3) response and an immediate error.
    If the service is listening, you either get nothing or a specific response, depending on the type of server. If you are waiting for return traffic, you'll get a timeout error in UDP read either way.
    (If you just want to check if the server computer is actually up, probe it on a unlikely high port that virtually guarantees an ICMP(3,3) response in the absence of a personal firewall program.)
