Return asset back into stock

Dear experts,
We are implementing at the moment ALM tool and as far as i know there is an option there to easily move assets back to stock.
But the business would want to have a quick solution on this issue. They would want the warehouse manager to be able track down handsets (fixed assets) which are returned into his warehouse. So, it should be some MM transaction...
We are using FI-AA, but the AuC is P&L, not investment account and the asset acquisition happens directly from the P&L account to the finished asset.
Is there some standard SAP solution that we could customize?

You may return stock using 661 Returns to vendor via SD delivery
As with movement type 502, a return delivery to the vendor is entered without reference to the purchase order, but the goods issue is posted via an SD delivery

Return back the stock in a cross company stock transfer environment

Hi all,
I have a question in reagrds to Standard SAP Stock transport order with SD and billing (i.e. cross company stock transfer)
For example:
Ordering plant (issue Stock transport PO)----
> Supplying plant (create DO) -
> Supplying Plant (PGI) -
> Ordering Plant (GR) -
> Supplying Plant (billing) -
> Ordering plant (invoice verification)
Now my question is...
if the ordering plant want to return the stock back to the supplying plant due to some business reason, what does ordering and supplying need to do?
Can the supplying plant now issue a stock transport PO to the ordering plant to buy back (i.e. get back) the stock? is this the right away? and if not what is the right way so that the financial posting can correctly take place.

if, u want to use ur this business process with CIN then follow these steps:
    maintain chapter id for ur material with material type should be RG1.
            Do MB1A with 551 mvt type.
then do J1is AND j1iv.
then need the updating of Excise Register here J1i5
          U can use here j2iun instead of j1i5)
if u are new to J2iun then do like this carefully,
                      display pending invoice in j2iun.
                        then one by one excise value put.(it will *** in green, then save this)
                        then extraction of register and printing.

Firefox will reload a page and reposition at the top if the copy in the cache has expired. However, that shouldn't happen right away.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

How can I return my downloaded apps back into my iphone

I was not getting anything to come up on my iPhone, I would press an app and it would go into the loading mode, but nothing else would happen. I then restored my phone and it took me back to the basics. I was just wondering if it would be possible to download these apps from my computer back into the phone. I can do it one by one, but it would be so time consuming. Please help.

If you've been syncing your iPhone with iTunes on your computer regularly as designed, all your apps should be in your iTunes Library already. If so, you can just sync them all back to the phone in one go.

To get return back to stock for unconsumed material once already issued

Can you share if user already taken the issue for the reservation fully and suppose some of quantities not not issued and want to return again back to stores then what would be the best practice ,pl can share your opinion..

you have not mentioned the scenario completely.
if reservation is created through MRP run then the planned order needs to be deleted.
If manually then u can delete the same through MB22.

How to Handle Returns of Vendor Consigned Stock Issued via Delivery ?

Hi.
I am currently able to issue Vendor Consigned Stock via Delivery. I use Lean Warehouse Management, and I have implemented Stock Determination Rule to take Vendor Consigned Stock and Unrestricted own stock in account during Issue. I am even able to insert the correct Vendor Number during the confirmation of the Transfer Order. When I generate the Goods Issue of the Delivery Order, I get an accounting document that affects both the Account Payable Liability and a Consumption Account.
Now My Question is this :
How do I handle Customer Complaints that lead to a Return of the Goods, back into Vendor Consigned Stock ? The goods that is returned, needs to be taken back into Vendor-Consigned Status, and a appropriate Accounting Document needs to be generated to reverse out the Acct Payable Liability and Consumption Account entries.
Do I use a Returns 'RE' Sales Order to bring back the Stock ? I need to be able to create a Return Delivery that will immediately post the returned Stock back into Vendor Consigned Status. So where and how can I key in the vendor number in the Return delivery, keeping in mind Return Delivery in Standard SAP does not use Warehouse Management ?

I think you can try the following:
1. Define a new schedule line category - here you can define the movement type and the item category (as given in a Purchase Info Record). - Transaction VOV6
2. Define a new sales order type for returns. - Transaction VOV8
3. Define a new item category for the returns document, - you can mention the special stock type here too
4. Carry out the sales order to item category and item category to schedule line category assignments.
I am not sure if the system will prompt you to provide the vendor number or how does it populate the vendor no. while posting the material doc. However you can try this out and check if this solves your issue.

When does the ASUS Transformer Prime come back in stock?

I returned my Asus Eee Pad Transformer last night. I went to the tablet section at the store, the assclown who helped me was not only worthless, but rude. He more or less just told me, "No, we don't have it." He had no information regarding when they'd get more in stock, I asked to talk to his manager, and he said he didn't have one. I am happy that my girlfriend got this for me for Christmas, but am annoyed that she bought it at Bestbuy, as you can expect the worst customer service when walking into one of these stores. I tried to get 'cash back' when I returned it, but I had to get a giftcard which means I have to deal with this awful company until I get the product I want. So, when will this be back in stock?

I agree that the associates in the store are just as in the dark as we are on these sorts of issues. One went so far as to just simply show me the screen that they have access to and the paucity of information was a little disturbing.
Anyway, I guess I'm a little weary of waiting and a little frustrated too. I cannot begin to imagine the infrastructure of a company as large as BB and how they handle their supply lines. All I ask for is transparency. Somewhere, at some level of the chain, there's this information:
1) How many pre-orders are left to fill
2) How many do we need to ship to each store
3) How many we expect to get from the manufacturer
A simple statement of "We have X number of orders to fill and Asus has promised us X units by this date" would go a long way to help me gauge and understand where I am in this mess. The alternative just seems chaotic by comparison: "We don't know how many orders have been placed, we don't know when we're going to get them, and those that we do have are out on trucks headed to stores/customers but we can't track them."
I'm over simplifying this, but I would feel a lot better if I could just have a little bit more information. The demand has outstripped the supply and this certainly isn't something that will get fixed overnight; I just want to know if I should hold my breath for a couple of weeks or a couple of months.

Frankly, this sort of commentary drives me crazy. What company would make the kind of improvements identified above without documenting them for their existing and future customers, if they were real. Is it that we're all so desperate for good news from RIM that we have to make it up? If anyone can find anything official behind the article's claims, feel free to post a link in response.
A couple things do still confuse me though. Some users are claiming that the new OS v2.0.1.668 version has been pulled. My Playbook upgraded to this update without any issue on the first try. Didn't take hours and the whole process seemed quite normal. Smooth as molasses.
Didn't notice anything weird at all until last evening, a few days after the upgrade. I pulled off the charger cable and looked at the battery and it was 0%, dead as a door nail. Perhaps the magnetic head of the fast charger wasn't seated properly. I turned off the Playbook and then attached the fast charger. Left it alone and went back about an hour later and it was still at 0%! It was acting like it was still losing charge and getting weaker. This is not typically the case, so I shut down wifi, turned off backlighting, put it into airplane mode and tried again. No change when I checked back later. At some points, I couldn't even get it to boot to the main screen, just battery empty symbol, at best.
I read on this and other forums how others were having problems after teh update. Erasing their Playbook and reloading OS. I couldn't even do that, because the Playbook has to have enough power to update the software through the Desktop. While I could connect and see the device via Desktop, there wasn't enough juice to do anything at 0%. It seemed that there were folks holding the battery button for 10-20 seconds claiming that worked, but it didn't do anything for me.
To say the least, I was getting pretty ticked off after reading the forum and discovering that the battery issue I was dealing with might be related to a pulled OS upgrade that had screwed my Playbook. Proper QA and testing should preventthis sort of blunder. Even more ticked, if the update has been pulled and RIM has not made any official statement that I can find to that effect! If they have pulled it (which I still haven't been able to personally confirm), this information should be publically available and explained. The one thing they need to do is look after any loyal customers they still have left. Personally, I have loved my playbook, although RIM has definitely botched a great piece of hardware with inadequate software enhancements to the OS, that continues to this day. The fact that we still can't categorize browser favorites in folders at this point is inexcusable. Anyway, I digress.
Back to the battery. Here's what I did after about two hours of snarling and becoming increasingly frustrated with my dead playbook and not being able to find any way to breathe life back into it. I remembered what happens to my rechargeable batteries for my xbox controllers when they drain dead. They simply won't charge. They become un-rechargeable. I eventually figured out via an obscure internet posting, what no retail clerk or xbox support person seemed to know. I returned more than my share of brand new unrechargeable batteries, because they wouldn't charge when drained. This is what I discovered. You take the dead controller with battery and connect it to the charging cable. It lights red... but after 13 seconds it goes green. If you leave it connected it simply will not charge. Originally, I concluded I had a faulty battery that would not recharge. Not so. You must pull the cable off. Light goes out, connect it again. Light goes red, 13 seconds turns green. Pull the cable off. Light goes out, connect it again. Light goes red, 13 seconds turns green. Pull the cable off. Light goes out, connect it again. Light goes red, 13 seconds turns green. Pull the cable off. Repeat until you figure there is no point to this exercise, and then do it one more time. Pull the cable off. Light goes out, connect it again. Light goes red, 13 seconds later it stays red and doesn't go green, it stays red. Might be the 5th try, 20th try, 30th try, who knows, but eventually the xbox controller light will actually stay red and not switch to green and will then recharge. It's almost like each previous failed connection provides a bit more juice to the battery, until it has enough to finally be rechargeable again. Come back in a couple hours and what appeared to be an unrechargeable battery is fully charged.
So I took my Playbook, Turned it off. Connected cable. Light turned red, then turned green. Disconnected cable. Held power button to shut playbook off. Connected cable. Light turned red, then turned green. Disconnected cable. Held power button to shut playbook off. Connected cable. Light turned red, then turned green. Disconnected cable. Not sure how many times I went through this painful exercise. Maybe 15-20. Maybe I only needed to do it 5 or 10times. Maybe I didn't need to do it at all.
Frankly, in the course of doing it, it seemed like I was almost draining the battery more. I think there was a point where it almost was dead and wouldn't even light up. That had me spooked. By pressing and holding the on button and connecting the cable, I somehow got the red light to come on, then switch to green and it began pulsating. At this point, I didn't want to push my luck. Left it alone and went to bed. Got up this morning and it was alive and 100% charged. It went into an automatic reboot. The wifi password had to be re-entered and saved in order to get connected back to the internet, but everything else seemed to be fine.
I’ve used it solid for one hour and the battery dropped to 80%. This felt like a much faster drop than in the past. It's been in standby mode for an additional two and a half hours since and it is now at 60%. I never shut my PlayBook off. I keep mine in standby all day, with the screen on lowest brightness and wifi typically on. Do I think that the latest update has had an impact on battery life? Well, my Playbook originally died and ran out of charge, when I had it attached to the fast charger! Can't explain that right now. I suppose I could have improperly connected via the magnet and this was my own user error. Could be just coincidental that this happened to me after the update and at the same time others are complaining about battery issues. Personally, it does “feel” like my Playbook is draining faster in standby mode than it has in the past. I have my eye on this and if it goes dead again, I'll repost. Obviously, my recharging "technique" worked for me, so if it helps breathe life back into your battery dead playbook, I'd be interested to know.
If RIM has actually pulled the update and not updated their own web site to reflect a battery issue and not officially disclosed a known problem to their customers it would be at best totally unprofessional and at worst inexcusable. I'm still not sure what to make of everyone's comments and issues, when RIM still lists the v2.0.1.668 update on their corporate page.

RIM exec Michael Clewley confirm that 668 was pulled because it has upgrading issues with Playbook with OS 1.0.7 --- and that is the ONLY reason why it was pulled.

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select

from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.

How can I import an ibook file back into iBook Author?

I exported an ebook from iBook Author thinking it is the equivalent of saving the file.
I did not save the file, I only exported it and than exited the program.
My active file is vannished.
I need to make some adjustments to the ebook, but can not bring it back up.
Is there a way that I can re-import the iBook file back into iBook Author?
When I open iBook Author and try to open the exported file the program does not recognise the ibook file...

Check for previous versions of that book in iBA....even if not saved.
You can dig into the .ibooks file by changing the suffix to zip, but you'll have to manually extract what you can from assets you find. Please only do this with your own books.

Returning goods back to Vendor in R/3

DEAR SAP GURU's: Good Day! I am on a project at the moment and I have never heard of returning goods back to the (started in the middle) vendor as they are doing. I am not saying it is wrong, but some new requirements for sending material out for repair, re-calibration, etc is coming in the future and I am unsure that it will work with returning the repairable material to Vendor or the Lab.This is material that is not being sold to customers, but has to be maintained for the company. We are also going to implement serialization profile as well as the equipment record. The process that is being done now that I am not familiar with (they are only using this for material that is not repairable, it example would be a wrong part number was rec'd into warehouse in error) is to perform a MIGO transaction with a 122 movement on the delivery note number. Reason is so shipping can have a document to ship out on versus a manual shipping document. I am used to returning material back to vendor in a Purchase Order with the "return" indicator flagged and performing a 161 movement. This also creates a shipping document back to the vendor. This is what I want to purpose to the company however, they just implemented the use of the 122 for their process now. Has anyone heard of doing the return to vendor with a 122 mvmt? Does anyone know if this will work for material we want to ship out to vendor? If so, how do capture the value and repair costs?

I wouldn't call me an expert for such questions, but at least some thoughts.
From logistic point of view, a 122 shipping should be OK - but your last questions points out the difference to a return PO (and 161): how to get correct values?!
When you can live with moving average (or standard) price, that's fine, but when you have to have the 'original' values from the PO or charge otherwise something for the goods, a 'whole' process starting with a return PO is necessary.
When going on to discuss this question with the customer, involve first more (or mainly) value interested people (FI or purchasing department) - from logistics you won't get understanding in the beginning.

when i am VPN's in thru CISCO VPN to my company Intranet site I cannot print wirelessly. i have to turn off VPN, priint and log back into the company intranet site. is there a way to configure the router so that it is not blocking the signal?

The problem is not the router.. the issue is the vpn has put your computer in a different IP range with a different gateway. When you turn off the vpn the computer returns to local lan and can print.
Some vpn software allows you to set gateway to use local net instead of remote gateway or access to other webistes or local lan.

I did not search much.. just grabbed the first article I could find that explains the issue.
The whole point of the vpn is whilst it is connected your computer is NOT part of the Local Lan .. it is part of the Remote LAN via the vpn tunnel.
It is also a security risk using split tunnelling so often it will not be allowed.
Plug the printer directly into the computer via usb or whatever.. Local connection will work.. not local lan.
