Reverse record

Hi all,
I need to know that a record has a reverse record.
Can I do this?
Thanks a lot.
Deniz.

In BKPF the field STBLG contains the Reverse Document Number.
But this field is not filled for every kind of reversing, e.g. if the account document came from another application (MM, SD) the reverse document may not be linked to the accounting reversed record, but may carry a link to an external document that is a reversal document in the sending application.

  • Appended Key figure is not working in Delta reverse record

    Dear All,
I have enhanced 2LIS_11_VASCL datasource, to pull value from condition record, called Surchage.
I have set reversal indicator for this field in my datasource. I have written code in CMOD to get this value from KONV table of that sales order.
Now when value  is changed, delta record for this, automatically creates reversal record, but it shows new value of surcharge as negative, because that code is pulling value which currently exists in table.
For example for order 350089 , if surchage is $ 100 .  User changes it to $200
    Then I get following record.
Reversal Record  - $200 (This should be instead -$100 , i.e. previous value)
    New Record - $100.
Because of this my new value is not getting updated in table.
I can't use overwrite mode in ODS because some other technical reason.
How can I solve this problem?
appended Key figure is not working in Delta reverse record

LIS have before-after delta. So ODS should be in Overwrite mode. If that is not possible.. try sorting the records in Start Routine such way that the - 100 $ is above the - 200 $ records in Data Package.
but this is risky as it will affect other key figures for which things maybe fine. I guess you need take Data Package records in an internal table. And then sort this internal table. then you can read the internal table in update routine of this key figure.
OR (If you are on BI 7.0) you introduce an InfoSource in between DS and DSO with Overwrite mode for this Key Figure.

  • Reverse Record in Cube

    Hi,
In our scenario we load delat data into ODS and then delta data into Cube. I added new characteristics in ODS as well and Cube to fill in based on other existing field and a table lookup for value. I wrote the routine in ODS Update rule.
After the data i see reverse record in Cube? One record for the new characteristics filled in and another reverse record for new characteristics empty.
Basically the data in Cube is Double the Data in ODS.
How to eliminate this? What is the reason for this?
    Thank you
    arun

    Hi Arun,
When you initialize from the ODS you have to clear the data from the cube, otherwise you get dupicate data in the cube.  you can use the ODS as a data store and never clear the data from the ODS, that way you have history.  If you add new fields to the ODS do not delete the current data in the ODS and reinitilaize the ODS to bring in the new fields.  If you need the new fields in the cube then clear the contents of the cube and initialize the delta into the cube.
    Hope this answers your questions,

  • Where are reversed records in DS 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL?

    Dear Experts,
I have to use datasource 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL. I think data comes from table AFKO, AFPO, and AFVC, right?
However, the report needs data from AFRU instead of AFVC.
       Questions:
       1) What is the difference between AFRU and AFVC?
       2) In AFRU, there are reversing and reversed records (FLAG AFRU-STOKZ); however, in AFVC, there seems to be only records which are not reversed. Am I right in this point?
       3) Come back to datasource 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL. If I still need to see the reversed records from DS 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL, how can I set it?
       4) If I still need data from AFRU, is there any other standard datasources? Otherwise, I have to create a new one to extract data from AFRU.
I am sorry this is my first time to touch PP Module. If I understand something wrong, please clarify them.
       Thank you in advance.

can u thro some light on this....

  • Frustrating time with DNS - now NO reverse record

    Hi,
Since we've migrated to Snow Leopard Server, it seemed about time to go back to the beginning and get the basics set up in order to move on to trying new services. But, I keep getting stuck at DNS, which seems to be a prerequisite for everything else.
After trying various entries (I have not been clear on what to list as the nameserver), and still having errors in the log, I deleted all records in order to start from scratch. But now, no matter what I put in for the primary zone, it does not automatically generate a reverse entry as it used to. I'm not even getting anything under the expansion triangle for the primary zone. I think I killed it.
How do I get started again, so I can generate new and better errors?

    MrHoffman wrote:
okay, that's better. Now I'm back to where I started. First thing confusing me, what should the address be of that first machine I'm adding (the server in question.) you say public or private.
Do you understand the difference between public IP and private IP? If not, then please [read this|http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/275] for a quick introduction to the pieces and parts.
Having public IP is easier. But you need enough public IP addresses to deal with your hosts, and those may or may not be available or affordable. If you don't have enough addresses or if you're working behind a residential (DHCP-based) IP address assignment, then you will want to use private IP addresses and NAT.
I tried to make it clear we are behind a router and using NAT. I was reading what you were saying as meaning something else: that I could use our LAN addresses or the real (WAN) address of the router.
    but, of course, the domain names for the added machines don't really exist out there in the real world's dns servers... dns.crossword.tzo.com, NAMEOFSERVER.crossword.tzo.com, ipaddress.crossword.tzo.com etc;
Do you have a publicly registered domain? tzo.com is registered to some folks here in New England.
we buy (rent) the domain name from them. Obviously it is a subset of another domain name, and I don't know what that means for my purposes. It started out as 'dynamic' support, but we kept it after getting a static ip because it was easier to remember than the number. In other words, it resolves to our router's address. an inquiry to them got the response "you HAVE a fully qualified domain name". If I need to work with them on something, I'd need to know what to ask them for, because it doesn't seem they are ready to be more helpful than that.
We do have our own domain name, but it is already busy pointing to someone else's server.
01-Mar-2010 15:49:39.114 zone crossword.tzo.com/IN/com.apple.ServerAdmin.DNS.public: NS '192.168.0.100.crossword.tzo.com' has no address records (A or AAAA)
    should I care about that?
That's an error. Probably because tzo.com isn't your domain? If you're working with the tzo folks, then you'll want to have tzo serve your domain, or have the tzo folks delegate to your server. (And I'd tend to avoid being delegated here; I'm guessing that you probably want this domain to be entirely private.)

  • Reverse images in Pseudo delta

    Hi All,
I have a generic extractor which fetches data from ECC based on pseudo delta.
I am using type 0 in the date field to bring the delta records to BI.
    Problem.
when I load a record to bw for example  a PO today and today the PO is deleted in ecc  and when I load the data tommorow to the bw, the record needs to get deleted from DSO and CUBE.
To identify this I have a field 'deletion indicator' which i mapped to 0strno info object in the DSO.
Reverse images are identified by the indicator 'R' but deletion indicator is marked as 'L'.
How will the system identify the reverse image in this case?
Please le me know the solution for this.
    Points assured.
    Regards
    Joga

Ian, after looking at what SAP suggested 'Get Delta Only Once,' this should work for your scenario:
    Indicator: Only Get Delta Once
Source requests of a DTP for which this indicator is set are only transferred once, even if the DTP request is deleted in the target.
    Use
If this indicator is set for a delta DTP, a snapshot scenario is built.
A scenario of this type may be required if you always want an InfoProvider to contain the most up-to-date dataset for a query but the DataSource on which it is based cannot deliver a delta (new, changed or deleted data records) for technical reasons. For this type of DataSource, the current dataset for the required selection can only be transferred using a 'full update'.
In this case, a DataStore object cannot usually be used to determine the missing delta information (overwrite and creation of delta). If this is not logically possible because, for example, data is deleted in the source without delivering reverse records, you can set this indicator and perform a snapshot scenario. Only the most up-to-date request for the DataSource is retained in the InfoProvider. Earlier requests for the DataSource are deleted from the (target) InfoProvider before a new one is requested (this is done by a process in a process chain, for example). They are not transferred again during the DTP delta process. When the system determines the delta when a new DTP is generated, these earlier (source) requests are seen as 'already fetched'.
Setting this indicator ensures that the content of the InfoProvider is an exact representation of the source data.
    Dependencies
Requests that need to be fetched appear with this indicator in the where-used list of the PSA request, even is they have been deleted. Instead of a traffic light you have a delete indicator.

  • Os x server 10.4 dns record screen not showing

i may be a complete idiot here, but i recently installed the os x server 10.4 and my and dns allwos me to add zones but not records for that zone.
i never see a screen allowing me to choose A, MX, CNAME, etc. records.
i have configured QuickDNS Pro before, and have it currently pointing to me os x server, since i can't configure the dns on that machine. and i have configured os x server (10.1, 10.3 and 10.4 before) so i know these items can be tough to find, but i think something is just not right on my install.
i swear i've clicked every button and tab on that Admin app.
i've been poking aorund for a screen shot of what it should show me but i'm still looking.
    any ideas?
    G4 cube Mac OS X (10.4.8)

The DNS GUI is heavily disguised as a 'user friendly' interface so you might just not be recognising the correct area. For starters it never actually mentions things like A or CNAME records!
To describe where the 'button' is...
    On DNS-> Settings page...
When you add the zone (click the + button), there should be two tabs at the top...
General (which it opens at to add the zone name, etc. and...
Machines - click this... which takes you to the machines pane...
Under the machines pane there should be a "+" button which, when clicked, allows you to add other machines' IP addresses (A records), and optionally with 'aliases' (CNAMES).
Unfortunately, this GUI seems to be far from intuitive - particularly for anyone who knows the basics of DNS. It has been designed for real basic stuff. E.g., it automatically adds reverse records.
You are far better of doing it manually and not bother with gui. In fact, if you do it manually the gui will probably be unable to convert back since it expects it to be in a real particular form. And never be tempted to try editing in the gui after manually editing since it will almost certainly goose the files!

  • GR reversal data in Purchasing Item extractor

    Dear experts,
We have a issue with the "Purchasing Item Extractor". As per our observation this extractor does not contain the GR reversal record.
    Issue in detail  --
If on a Purchase order two GR has happened .
    GR1  1000 qty and GR2  -200 qty.
The extrator should contain both the values so that the NET GR becomes 800 qty.
We are able to point the GR1 record but the GR2 record which is the reversal GR, is not available in the extractor.
Please let us know how to resolve the issue.
GR1 has material movement has 101 and GR2 has 122.
    Thanks in advance,
    Anand.

Hi, I am working on purchasing and find the same problem.
Purchasing Doc      Date                Cancel Indicator      Value        Quantity
    ABC                       11/1/2009                                       $100            5
    ABC                        12/1/2009               x                    -$100           0
    ABC                         12/1/2009                                        80             4
For Purchasing order ABC, if it gets changed from quantity 5 to 4, the reversal entry, should have a quantity of -5.
    IT should be :
Purchasing Doc      Date                Cancel Indicator      Value        Quantity
    ABC                       11/1/2009                                       $100            5
    ABC                        12/1/2009               x                    -$100           -5
    ABC                         12/1/2009                                        80             4
Do you ever has a solution?
    Thanks very much!!

  • Reverse lookup not working

Due to a knew provider I had to change all of our outside A and reverse lookup records. We can resolve names just fine but not IP's. We have a 24bit mask and I created our records with the last octet of each IP - ie x.x.x.249 has a reverse record of 249. Due to this problem we are having a lot of mail rejected by other institutions. I had one of them do an nslookup to our mail servers IP address for me and the result was - default server unavailable, server failed. Any ideas what might be wrong?
    Thanks in advance
    Hazel

A common mistake when creating in-addr.arpa zones is to enter a 0 for
the host portion of the IP rather than leaving the field(s) blank. For
example, you would end up with a zone named 0.1.168.192.in-addr.arpa
rather than 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa, which is the correct way.
If this is not the issue, please post your config and maybe a debug log,
and maybe someone will see the problem.

  • DTP Indicator Only Get Delta Once: How to handle deleted records in source

    Hi colleagues,
I have checked some messages and blogs, but could not find any solution for deleted records in source system.
My source system is not able to delivere delta for my table of interest. So I checked "Only Get Delta Once" in my DTP and made some tests.
It works very well for changes of existing records of the source table.
But, SAP help on this features wirtes:
...If this is not logically possible because, for example, data is deleted in the source without delivering reverse records, you can set this indicator and perform ...
I checked this feature by selecting less data from source at the second load from the same table. But recordmode does not get an deletion flag for the now missing records. So, the indicator "Only Get Delta Once" does not work like BI standard delta mechanism?
    What is wrong?
    Thanks and regards,
    Wolfgang

    Hi,
If you select the option 'Only get delta once', then every request in the PSA will only be loaded into the Data target once. For example. If you load a full request into the PSA through an InfoPackage and then load it to the Cube. In a snapshot scenario, when the new full load comes to the PSA you will need to delete the previous request from the cube before loading the new request.
But if you delete the previous request from the cube, and not from the PSA - and if you haven't checked the 'Only get delta once' flag, when you execute the DTP, it will load both previous and the new requests from the PSA to the cube. In order to avoid this you have 2 options:
    1. You can delete a request from the PSA after every successful load into the Cube OR
    2. You can check the 'Only get delta once' flag in the DTP so that it won't load any request it has loaded into the cubes previously even if it was deleted from the cube.
Using the second option de-couples the PSA maintenance from your regular data loading and also saves you an additional step of deleting the PSA request in your process chain.

This should all work right??  I haven't seen this done, but it's all reasonable...  Can anyone see a reason for why this would work?  Any suggestions to fix the little problem...  In typing all this up I think I may have answered my own question, do you think that creating the ODM without the second network's information in the DNS at the time of the creation of the ODM is the issue??

    Hi
LDAP settings will typically base themselves around the dns configured at the time of promotion. This would include the server's fixed IP address. So if you were using the 10.x.x.x range that should be it. That would be true for the reverse pointer as well.
The reverse pointer is crucial for networked users to find their Homes. It would be difficult to see how networked users in the other range could find them if that was the case?
    I could be wrong though?

  • Generic Extraction (or) How to use table in R/3 system as datasource in BW?

    Hi all,
Hope all are having a great day
Can any1 tell me the steps, for Generic Extraction.
It will be very helpful, if the steps are as much as simpler as posible.
I know to create a simple cube in BW.
I have this much knowledge, depending on this can any1 tell me the steps for Generic Extraction from R/3.
    examples wud be vry useful
    Regards,
    Sourav

    hi,
    Maintaining Generic DataSources
    Use
Independently of application, you can create and maintain generic DataSources for transaction data, master data attributes or texts from any kinds of transparent tables, database views, InfoSets of the SAP query or using a function module. As a result, you can make use of the generic extraction of data.
    Procedure
    Creating a Generic DataSource(RSO2)
           1.      Select the DataSource type and give it a technical name.
           2.      Choose Create.
The creating a generic DataSource screen appears.
           3.      Choose an application component to which the DataSource is to be assigned.
           4.      Enter the descriptive texts. You can choose any text.
           5.      Choose from which datasets the generic DataSource is to be filled.
                                a.      Choose Extraction from View, if you want to extract data from a transparent table or a database view. Enter the name of the table or the database view.
After generation, you get a DataSource whose extract structure is congruent with the database view or the transparent table view.
For more information about creating and maintaining database views and tables, see the ABAP Dictionary Documentation.
                                b.      Choose Extraction from Query, if you want to use a SAP query InfoSet as the data source. Select the required InfoSet from the InfoSet catalog.
Notes on Extraction Using SAP Query
After generation, you now have a DataSource whose extract structure matches the InfoSet.
For more information about maintaining the InfoSet, see the System Administration documentation.
                                c.      Choose Extraction using FM, if you want to extract data using a function module. Enter the function module and extract structure.
The data must be transferred by the function module in an interface table E_T_DATA.
Interface Description and Extraction Process Flow
For information about the function library, see the ABAP Workbench: Tools documentation.
                                d.      With texts, you also have the option of extraction from domain fixed values.
           6.      Maintain the settings for delta transfer where appropriate.
           7.      Choose Save.
When extracting, look at SAP Query: Assigning to a User Group.
Note when extracting from a transparent table or view:
If the extract structure contains a key figure field, that references to a unit of measure or currency unit field, this unit field must appear in the same extract structure as the key figure field.
A screen appears in which you can edit the fields of the extract structure.
           8.      Editing the DataSource:
            Selection
When scheduling a data  request in the BW Scheduler, you can enter the selection criteria for the data transfer. For example, you may want to determine that data requests are only to apply to data from the previous month.
If you set the Selection indicator for a field within the extract structure, the data for this field is transferred in correspondence with the selection criteria in the scheduler.
            Hide field
You should set this indicator to exclude an extract structure field from the data transfer. As a result of your action, the field is no longer made available in BW when setting the transfer rules and generating the transfer structure.
            Inversion
Reverse postings are possible for customer-defined key figures. For this reason, inversion is only possible for certain transaction data DataSources. These include DataSources that have a field that is indicated as an inversion field, for example, the field update mode in the DataSource 0FI_AP_3. If this field has a value, then the data records are interpreted as reverse records in BW.
Set the Inversion indicator if you want to carry out a reverse posting for a customer-defined field (key figure). The value of the key figure is then transferred in inverted form (multiplied by –1) into BW.
        Field only known in exit
You can enhance data by extending the extract structure for a DataSource using fields in append structures.
The indicator Field only known in Exit is set for fields of an append structure. In other words, by default these fields are not passed onto the extractor from the field list and selection table.
Deselect the indicator Field Only Known in Exit to enable the Service API to pass on the append structure field to the extractor together with the fields of the delivered extract structures in the field list as well as in the selection table.
    9. Choose DataSource ® Generate.
The DataSource is now saved in the source system.
    Maintaining Generic DataSources
    •        Change the DataSource
To change a generic DataSource, in the initial screen of DataSource maintenance, enter the name of the DataSource and choose Change.
You can change the assignment of a DataSource to an application component as well as the texts of a DataSource. Double-clicking on the name of the table, view, InfoSet or extract structure takes you to the appropriate maintenance screen. Here you can make changes required to add new fields. You can fully swap transparent tables and database views, but not InfoSets. If you return to the DataSource maintenance and choose Create, the screen for editing a DataSource appears. To save the DataSource in the SAP source system, choose DataSource  ® Generate.
If you want to test extraction in the source system independently of a BW system, choose DataSource  ®  Test Extraction.
    •        Delta DataSource
In the Change Generic DataSource screen, you can delete any DataSources that are no longer relevant. If you are extracting data from an InfoSet, delete the associated query. If you want to delete a DataSource, this must not be connected to a BW system.
For more information about extracting using SAP Query, see Extraction using the SAP Query.
    hope this helps.
    assign point if so

  • ABAP Help at start routine of Update rule

    Good After Noon All,
My requirement is that cube ZAPO_C24M  there’s an UPDR flowing from 8ZAPO_C24M back to itself so to speak. The request is to change the data in the cube from Fiscal Year Variant Z3 to Z4.
But in start routine  i have to  take the existing record and reverse all of the key figures, and also change the RECORDMODE of the record to indicate it is a reversal record. This for specific Country KR and for these country the Fiscal variant is Z3. Again in the start routine, create a new record identical to the existing record that has Fiscal Year Variant Z4 instead of Z3.
So the idea is we’d load from the cube and send back to the cube one record that reverses out the existing data, and another record that contains the same data but with Fiscal Variant Z4 instead of Z3.
    Please Help me.
Points will be awarded for the right answer

    Hi Vaishali,
In the start routine copy the DATA_PACKAGE to a local table.
Select the records where the specific country is KR.
    Delete all other records.
Then read the records in loop, Keep one record same and just change the fiscal year variant.
And for the same multiply all the key figures by -1.
Transfer the content of the local table back to DATA_PACKAGE.
maintain one to one mapping in the update rule.
I am sure it will update, but you need to be sure that if you change Fiscal year variant then probably your fiscal period value should change. In that case you have to update it accordingly in the start routine.
    Regards.

  • Issue with loading of Delta data

    Hi all,
I have constructed a generic datasource using the tables ESLH,ESLL,ESKL tables with delta field as AEDAT(Changed on) from ESKL table.Created a Infocube and DSO basing on the datasource and loading is completed.Delta loads are running daily.
Now my question is how to delete the data from the infocube in the BW system if the fields ESLL-DEL(deletion indicator) and ESLL-STOKZ(reversal document) is set to active in the ESLL table in the R/3 system when the delta loading of data is completed.
can anyone have an idea of how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vinay Kumar

There are a couple of ways to do this, but I would question your logic as to why you need to delete them first:
For records that are marked as "deleted" you should just filter these records in the Query designer. Doing it this way is non-destructive, and later if your business needs to know some KPI based around number of deleted records - then you will be able to answer this. If you permanently remove the data, then you cannot answer this KPI.
For records marked "reversal" you should never remove these because they affect your key figures. A reversal can also be a partial reversal and so your KPIs will be wrong if you don't include them, and in any case in reporting you never see the reversal because almost all KFs are aggregated. The only time you will see a reversal record is when you include the characteristic that identifies it as a reversal, and in most reports that is unnecessary.
Right - so now to your solution(s) - although I repeat I advise not doing any of these.
As these are custom data sources, make sure that in your source system you create abap code to fill in thr RECORDMODE for each record.
This way when you load your data to the DSO, the activation step will take care of processing deletions and reversals.
Next compress your cube and use selective deletion on the cube to remove the deleted and reversal records.
    Alternatively:
Compress your cube and use selective deletion on the cube to remove the deleted and reversal records.
Then in your transformation to the cube, create a start routine which removes the records from the source package. ie the records are never allowed to go to the cube.
    I hope that helps.

  • 2LIS_11_VAITM - Deleted Line Items

I am having an issue with sales order line items that have been deleted.
I load my data using 2LIS_11_VAITM into a DSO EDW Layer. I then pass this up to another DSO layer. I noticed that users were deleting line items from Orders and this was causing me an issue in my data. To remove the problem I have linked ROCANCEL to 0RECORDMODE in the Technical rule up to my EDW layer and now in my EDW layer the line item goes completely when it is deleted out of the ERP system ad the deletion is passed into BW.
I got the idea for this from here Deleted line item appears in BI report
My problem lies in the layer above where I am still left with a line in the DSO relating to the deleted line. But the KF are zero. Is there anyway to also get this line to be deleted out as per my EDW layer?
    Thanks,
    Joel

    Hi Joel,
What is not completely clear to me is what happens in the first DSO. Are the deleted records removed from the active table or are the key figures set to 0?
Furthermore, what is update rule for key figures: overwrite or addition (in the transformation to both DSOs)?
The record mode is indeed the crucial factor. It must become clear which one is delivered by the DataSource: 'R' for a reversed record or a 'D' for an entire deletion? And what is the record mode in the update to second DSO?
    Best regards,
    Sander
