Reviewer Property

Hi Guys
I am a complete newbie to BPC, I have got a BPC 7.5 for Microsoft system using BusinessObjects authentication. I have added Reviewer to the Category Dimension however when I try to process the dimension I get the error "Your Excel sheet or source table must include the REVIEWER property." I have added a user to the Reviewer column in the Dimension spreadsheet but I still get the issue. What am I doing wrong ?

OK, I have re installed BPC with Windows Authentication. Made a copy of the APSET application Set. I then goto the P_CC Dimension, open the Dimension properties and add Reviewer. Size 255. Save the Properties. I open the members spreadsheet and the Reviewer column is there. I populate the column with DomainName\Username. Save to Server.
I then Process the dimension and still get the - Your Excel sheet or source table must include the REVIEWER property.

  • BPF reviewer property error

    Hi all,
    I got this following error when I tried to create a BPF "A reviewer property should be set on the drive dimension" and it's preventing me from going to the next step.
    How do I set a reviewer property set?
    Thanking you in advance.
    Mtshama (South Africa)

    Hi,
        You have to define a reviewer property for your dimension of type 'E'. You can have a look to the Entity dimension on ApShell to see the definition and the population of owner and reviewer property.

  • Rejecting a BPF step:Planner to be notified

    Hi everybody,
    Is there a way by which a planner can be notified that the reviewer has rejected his step via BPF?
    We can have email notifications set up for completion as well as a change in status.However i dont see any standard way by which a planner can be notified or a notification happening when a review process is done.
    A few thoughts i have:
    a- Looking at the back end "BPF status" table and setting up a SQL trigger
    b-Setting up a planner property within the derive dimension to work backwards than how a reviewer property works
    c-including status change step via Web tasks to pull it back to sm unlocked mode manually when a step is rejected(definitely not a gd option)..
    I have been trying on this for a few days but not yielding any strong results.Any expertise if could be shared on the same would be immensely appreciated.

    Hi,
    with the BIDS you can create a dts with several connected tasks, on the arrow that connect, right click and you have the possibility to set a constraint or expression or combined constraint and expression with "and" and "or" conditions that permits you to choose different ways dependening of the precedent step results.
    You have directly on the right click "success" "failure" and "completion" or if you click on "edit" you can use expressions.
    please look at the documentation, so if you want on failure options you can add and connect a sendmail task

  • Issue with setting work status

    Hi Gurus,
    I am using the standard work status (copied from Appset), in the applications work status setting I have set entity as owner and time and category as yes for work status. In the entity dimension under owner and reviewer property I have keyed in the correct user ids. I am using one of the owner user id to perform the activity mentioned below
    The issue I am facing is when I select modify work status from Esubmit menu it takes me to the web interface for setting the Work status after selecting the value for the 3 dimensions mentioned above when I click on OK it pops up a message that you are not authorized to change the work status setting please contact system administrator. The owners have admin profiles for auth so they should be able to do pretty much everything.
    would appreciate help on this
    BPC 5.1 Support Pack 2
    Thanks

    Make sure all the members within the parent hierarchy you are using have owners assigned.
    In BPC terms; Managers are the owners of parents, owners are the owners of members.
    For example the owner might be a clerk entering forecast data for a single/set of entities, (base level members). The manager owns the parent.
    Also, when testing, make sure you login to the system/server/domain/network, (whatever) with the userid you will be testing with and then login to BPC. (Just to be sure.)
    This should do it if you have everything else laid out!
    Good Luck!

    Hi All,
    I'm midst of designing a Cost  Centre, dimension which will need to have Entity, Profit Centre ID, Profit Centre Description, Cost Centre Group, Cost Centre, Cost Centre DEesription and Process, I see some of the will be Hiearachy rolling up. Starting from Entity to Profit Centre ID & Description and to Cost Centre Group, Cost Centre and Cost Centre Description and finally to Process
    My query, is what is the element should be in Dimension and its memeber and properties ? I guess currency, owner ...
    do I need to have a column of Profit Cetre from and to side by side, what about Business Unit, and how does EVDESCRIPTION fits into this scenario ? does it carry Profit Centre Description or Cost Centre Description ?
    Please advise
    Thanks
    Zan

    Hi,
    You can maintain Entity, Profit Centre ID, Cost Centre Group, Cost Centre as IDs and all their descriptions in the evdescription. The entity type of dimension must have currency, owner and / or reviewer property. The rest of the properties will depend on the actual requirements.

  • Send notifications to the users whenever a template is ready or an approval

    Is it possible to send notifications to the users whenever a template is ready or an approval is recorded when we use the work status.  Is there any SAP "How to"  documentation available on this ?  What are the limitations of this process ?

    Hi Sumit
    Yes it is possible.
    In BPC Microsoft Version we can design Business Process Flow (BPF) with the required Start date and time.
    Through BPF (using step 1) we can also send E-mail Notifications for Start and closure of the Planning cycle.
    To make this E-mail notification thing work:
    1. Assign E-mail ids to the Owner/ Reviewer property in dimension with Hierarchy structure.
    2. Assign Server info in the Application Set Parameter section from BPC Admin domain.
    Using WorkStatus
    This initiates emails to both the planner and the approver for any change in data for a work state change.
    This is available in link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc70sp02/helpdata/en/a1/532226947C49A5B2E2BD32450CB2D1/frameset.htm

  • Notification rules in BPC

    Hello,
    I have a question but I did not see the answer in the BPC help.
    I make a study on generic requirements for a BI data collection tool and try to see how many functions BPC cover.
    Does BPC send emails of notifications using the BPF ? I mean mainly when a validation is needed for example to go next step to advise the user that his data has been validated or rejected ?
    Thank you for the answer.
    Eric Delmotte

    Hi Eric,
    You can definitely do that.
    Automatic e-mail messages can be sent to BPF users to remind them to perform their appointed BPF tasks. In the When should users be notified section, use the two drop down menus to specify a number of days prior to the start of, or after the start of the BPF frequency you specified in Step 1.
    While adding a step, in the Properties fields, use the check boxes to indicate if you want to:
    u2022 Enable alerts. Reserved for future use.
    u2022 Enable completion criteria. Completion criteria may be enabled if Work Status has been enabled in the controlling application of the BPF. If defined here, the selected combinations of members must be set to the specified work status before the step can be considered complete. See Managing work status.
    u2022 Enable reviewers. This allows reviewers (as defined in the 'Reviewer' property of the drive dimension) to review the step. If you want to define an action that the reviewer must perform in order to review the step, select Set/Modify Custom Review Actions.
    u2022 Send email to reviewers. This option becomes active when you choose Enable reviewers. When you choose this option, an email is sent to the stepu2019s reviewers when a step is identified by the user as complete. The email subject line communicates the following: u201C<Step_Name> step of <BPF_Name> has been completed by <User>u201D. The email uses the name of the person who completed the step as the emailu2019s sender. To set the text for the body of the email, choose Define email message. Note that if you do not define the custom email message, the above-mentioned email subject line is repeated in the body of the email.
    Hope this helps.

    It seems you are asking in wrong forum. AFAIK, you are asking "how to add HTTP header to response generated by my own script". It depend on WWW server we are speaking of and language of script itself. If you will fail to found solution within documentation of the HTTP server and/or scripting language you are using, then the better place for your question is a forum related to such language and HTTP server.
    In meantime, you can try other solituin. The "Refresh: 0;..." header is required for correct function of SoftKey:Next which is displayed by default. But you can redefine the content of SoftKey area using your own key. Such configuration is part of DirectoryObject you sent to phone. See definition of SoftKey 3 in example bottom. It's not original SoftKey:Next that depend on Refresh header. It's my own custom soft-key named "Next" with exact URL defined as part of key definition (replace 'N' with number of next page). It doesn't depend on Refresh header in any way. You should consider such advice as "temporary workaround". You should discover how to send HTTP header 'Refresh'  from your script. Note, it's not possible to redefine one SoftKey only. If you wish to redefine a soft-key, then all soft-keys need's to be defined by you.

  • How to create a view for all Service Requests that are not approved by reviewer

    Hallo,
    I want to create a view in the Service Requests library that shows all SRs that are not approved. How to configure condition that says: if a SR has related Review Activity which is In Progress, show that SRs?
    I couldn't find this when creating the view. Thank you.

    So here's the first problem with that: Which review activity? a SR can contain multiple RAs, so how do we decide if an arbitrary SR is approved or not?
    As to the specific language you use (Any child RA is In Progress) you might want to look at the criteria from the default Change approval view, which does something similar:
    <QueryCriteria Adapter="omsdk://Adapters/Criteria" xmlns="http://tempuri.org/Criteria.xsd">
    <Criteria>
    <FreeformCriteria>
    <Freeform>
    <Criteria xmlns="http://Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Core.Criteria/">
    <Expression>
    <And>
    <Expression>
    <SimpleExpression>
    <ValueExpressionLeft>
    <Property>$Context/Path[Relationship='CoreActivity!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' TypeConstraint='CoreActivity!System.WorkItem.Activity.ReviewActivity']/Property[Type='CoreActivity!System.WorkItem.Activity']/Status$</Property>
    </ValueExpressionLeft>
    <Operator>Equal</Operator>
    <ValueExpressionRight>
    <Value>$MPElement[Name="CoreActivity!ActivityStatusEnum.Active"]$</Value>
    </ValueExpressionRight>
    </SimpleExpression>
    </Expression>
    <Expression>
    <SimpleExpression>
    <ValueExpressionLeft>
    <Property>$Context/Property[Type='CoreChange!System.WorkItem.ChangeRequest']/Status$</Property>
    </ValueExpressionLeft>
    <Operator>Equal</Operator>
    <ValueExpressionRight>
    <Value>$MPElement[Name="CoreChange!ChangeStatusEnum.InProgress"]$</Value>
    </ValueExpressionRight>
    </SimpleExpression>
    </Expression>
    </And>
    </Expression>
    </Criteria>
    </Freeform>
    </FreeformCriteria>
    </Criteria>
    </QueryCriteria>
    This is a simple AND criteria with two componets. one looking for a Review Activity (TypeConstraint='CoreActivity!System.WorkItem.Activity.ReviewActivity') which is related to the targetting CR by Contains Activity ($Context/Path[Relationship='CoreActivity!System.WorkItemContainsActivity';
    Context in this... context means the CR targeted by the view) where it's status (/Property[Type='CoreActivity!System.WorkItem.Activity']/Status$) is In Progress ($MPElement[Name="CoreActivity!ActivityStatusEnum.Active"]$). The other is filtering
    for the target change request's status ( $Context/Property[Type='CoreChange!System.WorkItem.ChangeRequest']/Status$) is In Progress ($MPElement[Name="CoreChange!ChangeStatusEnum.InProgress"]$).
    You could convert the second criteria to point to SRs and SR status values, and then use the similar text for the first criteria. i'd recommend
    Anton's Advanced View Editor (or
    the free version) to do the criteria adjustment.

  • How to use the FORMAT property of an account dimension

    Hi Experts,
    I tried my best but I just can't find any information about the format property of an account dimension. I know that it is a reserved one and I have seen something such as #,##0. In detail I want inc member to look like 1.000.000 and exp member  like -4.000.0000.
    This is probably a stupid question.
    Thanx in advance,
    Cora

    Hi Cora-
    These are Excel custom formats..please review the following link for detailed information:
    [Custom Number Formats in Excel|http://www.ozgrid.com/Excel/CustomFormats.htm]
    For your specific example:  ###,###,### for INC and  -###,###,### EXP should be sufficient.

    The contents of the folder-level JavaScript file can simply be:

  • Problem with Path Managed property in alternate zones - also we have identified problem with Product catalog in alt zones

    Hi All,
    I'll start "one step back". Note we have resolved this issue but it is worth mentioning:
    Yesterday we set up the product catalog. We were having a lot of inexplicable problems with it initially. After much troubleshooting, we found that it was because we were browsing the SharePoint site via the "Internet Zone" rather than the "Default
    Zone" when we "Connected" our site to the product catalog. Issues experienced:
    1) "Catalog Item URL Format" displayed error "Properties <Managed Property> specified by the shared catalog could not be found in the search schema" when attempting to connect to the catalog, despite that managed property being
    configured correctly. The catalog would connect despite the error, and the navigation worked fine.
    2) The search Result Source for the catalog would not return any results. Configuring the query and selecting "Advanced Mode" would show SPSiteURL:http://externalURL.domain.com. Changing SPSiteURL manually to
    http://InternalURL resulted in results being returned as expected.
    After much troubleshooting, we found that if were browsing SharePoint using the default zone (http://InternalURL) when we connected the Product Catalog, the result source then worked properly (internally and externally).
    Ok, so now onto our current problem:
    The Product Catalog appeared to be working properly (internally and externally) after figuring out that we needed to connect it from the Default Zone. However, we have found a remaining glitch, which doesn't appear to be Product-Catalog-specific. Consider
    the following scenario:
    1) We click a category in our Product Catalog, such as Electronics
    2) A list of our electronic devices are presented via the "Category" display page
    3) If we click on a specific item, a different URL is returned internally vs externally. We only get the friendly managed navigation URL when browsing via the Default zone. And of course totally different pages load based on which URL you get.
    Internal (when browsing via Default zone):
    http://InternalURL/catalog/PRODUCT-CATEGORY/PRODUCT-NAME
    External (when browsing via Internet zone):
    http://ExternalURL.domain.com/catalog/Lists/Products/DispForm.aspx?ID=1
    We have reviewed the display template, and the "Path" managed property is simply being used to render the link. Furthermore, we have configured the Content Search web part's "Property Mappings" to show the "Path" MP, and it
    displays the same (wrong) result externally.
    This tells us that the Path MP is not correctly rendering "Friendly URLs" when using managed navigation.
    Any help/ideas?
    Our environment:
    SharePoint Version: 15.0.4667.1000
    Default Zone: http://InternalURL
    Internet Zone: http://ExternalURL.domain.com
    We are NOT using host named site collections
    We ARE crawling the Default zone URL in our content source
    Thanks,
    Tommy

    Hi,
    We have now also observed the same issue with a Managed Property of type “Hyperlink/Picture”. The picture returns the wrong URL externally.
    This post describes the same issue, however the poster found that setting UseAAMMapping=True doesn’t work in 2013:
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/104806/set-the-useaammapping-property-of-a-managedproperty-object-map-an-url-of-a-h
    We checked, and our Picture MP had UseAAMMapping=False. We set it to True, did a full crawl, and see no change in behavior. Path already had UseAAMMapping=True.

  • How to "Print to PDF" with property "Signing: Allowed"

    Print to PDF generates a file with the security document property "Signing: Not Allowed". These Properties are only visible in Acrobar reader -> File -> Properties; you can't see these in Preview.
    Is there a way to change Mac OS X Print to PDF, that it generats PDFs with "Signing Allowed"?

    Thomac:
    After further review I discovered that it isn't the PDFs you are creating that has the problem, it is the limitations of Adobe Acrobat Reader to perform the ability to do the functions of Document Assembly, Commenting, Signing and Create Templates. If you had Acrobat Professional and opened your PDFs and checked the properties, you would discover that all these would be allowed.
    Initially, I was looking at my test files with Acrobat Professional. But, when I opened the same PDF with Reader on a different machine, I was getting the same summary as well.
    Adobe Reader is just that: a READER.
    You can feel safe that your PDFs allow signing.

  • Can I insert the name poperty of the RequestedByUser related object of the parent Change Request workitem in a review activity email notification template?

    I am working on a SCSM change control workflow driven by email.
    A lot of my work is based on the information found in this post:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager/archive/2012/04/03/using-data-properties-from-the-parent-work-items-in-activity-email-templates.aspx#pi158453=4
    This is an excellent post to which my Internet searches continually return. The workflow is about 90% complete.
    My question is can I insert the properties of a related object of the parent workitem in a workflow email notification?
    For example, I want to include the name property of the RequestedByUser related object of the parent workitem object in a review activity notification.

    Thank you for your reply.  I have confirmed my template is using a projection that includes the parent workitem and requested by user.  Where I am having trouble is the notification template syntax used to call the properties of the related
    object of the parent workitem.  The picker in the GUI won't show that related object, so I have no example to follow.  I hope this reply makes sense!
