Reward Certificates And Pre Order Cancel

Hello. I previously pre ordered Evolve using a 10 dollar reward certificate. I hardly cancel pre orders so this has never happened to me. I was wondering if I canceled it would I lose the 10 dollar reward certifcate? I pre ordered it awhile back so I'm sure it's expired. I plan on ordering another game right away with it and the money I had down on the pre order. I've completely lost interest in Evolve. After seeing the all the future dlc costs I don't care much about this game anymore.

Thank you for taking the time to post your question to the forum.
While the $10 certificate you applied to your Evolve pre-order may have expired, the point value ($10 = 500 points) should repost to your My Best Buy™ account 3 to 6 business days after you cancel the pre-order.  The certificate would have been considered fulfilled when it was applied to the pre-order, so the expiration date should not come into play.
If for some reason you do not see 500 points repost to your account after 6 business days or if you placed the pre-order on BestBuy.com and want help cancelling it, then please feel free to send me a private message and I will see what I can do to help.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button in my signature labeled "Private Message."

  • Destiny - $10 Reward Certificate for Pre-order and Purchase

    So as the title states, according to BB's promotion,anyone that pre-orders the Destiny game and purchases it, gets a $10 reward certificate. 
    I was one of the lucky few that actually pre-ordered the Destiny Limited Edition and did not have it get cancelled due to limited suppy. Regardless, why doesn't the Destiny Limited Edition have the special offer for the $10 reward certificate for pre-order and purchase? I am hoping this is just an oversite.

The $10 Reward Certificate bonus should be credited to your My Best Buy account within 20 days after you receive your copy of Destiny, whether it be picked up in-store or shipped to you. If for any reason you don’t see the points after this time has elapsed, please create a post letting us know and we’ll be more than happy to help out.

  • Reward Certificates on pre-orders

    I pre-ordered the halo game thats due out in a few days online and used my $10.00 reward certificate for it. After ordering the game and using the certificate i got an email telling me the certificate is about to expire a few days after the game comes out so i checked my order and it says I didn't use any certificates so is there a way for me to add the certificate on the order now or do i have to make a new order?

    Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for posting!
    I pulled up the pre-order you placed on BestBuy.com for Halo: The Master Chief Collection and it does not appear the $10 certificate was applied.  While you should be able to apply a certificate to a pre-order that is placed on BestBuy.com, your current pre-order would need to be cancelled and a new pre-order placed if you want to use the certificate.
    I would like to go over your pre-order with you in a bit more detail, so I will be sending you a private message.  To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope located at the top of the page.  The game is not set to be released until 11/11/2014, so we should still have some time if you do want to place a new pre-order.

    Oh no! We're so sorry about the confusion here. All Trade In quotes are subject to change at any time. Currently that particular phone is valued at $171.00, and the value is increased to $200.00 if you're participating in the special trade in offer for the iPhone 6 and 6 . It's possible that the value changed during your pre-order interaction, which is what prompted you to re-enter all your info.

    My question has to do with pre order cancelations. What do I need to get the money I put down on a game but didn't pay off? I have never had experience with Bestbuy since I was used to buyING from gamestop before. Do I need to go in? Just call? Get it back as store credit?

  • $10 Rewards for Destiny pre-order and $10 Bestbuy Giftcard with Evil Within pre-order

    I have yet to receive either of these.  I understand my Destiny purchase still says pending (although I received my $10 rewards for Madden 15 within a week of me picking up purchase).  When should I receive the $10 rewards certificate? 
    Also, I pre-ordered Evil Within months ago and I see now that anyone that pre-orders get a $10 giftcard.  Shouldn't I still get this? 
    If anyone can help and correct this, it would be greatly appreciated.  My member # - (removed per forum guidelines)

    Whenever a BestBuy.com order is cancelled (or returned), any funds held for that order are automatically refunded to the original form of payment. This process typically takes 2-3 business days for gift cards, while reward certificates are applied back to your My Best Buy account in the same length of time. For debit and credit cards, the exact timeframe required before the funds are available again is dependent on the card's issuing bank.
    If you no longer have the original gift card, then we can issue a replacement with the remaining balance. To request a replacement, simply give our gift card support team a call at 1-888-716-7994 or leave us a message in the BestBuy.com board. Additional info on gift cards can also be found here:

  • Canceled Pre-Order and Pre-Order again

    Hi! I just canceled my pre-order but i change my mind and i'd like to pre-order it again but i can't do it because when i press on album "ARTPOP" it still shows me that i pre-ordered it what should i do?

    You've tried closing and re-opening iTunes and seeing if you can then pre-order it ? And/or logging out of your account and then loggin back in ?

  • Reward Points for pre-order $?

    I pre-ordered Sunset Overdrive the day before release and also started a new GCU membership either before or after that transaction.  I placed $5 on the game since the 20% discount for GCU wouldn't apply to until pick up so I couldn't accurately pay off the game as part of my pre-order.
    Upon picking up my copy I received the $5 off the post 20% discount (and an additional $2.50 came off from an old BB store credit I had).  My final for the game itself was $40.46.  There were a few other items on the receipt that granted some points toward my next gift card but if you add the total for my entire receipt that was paid out (not uncliding the store credit.  Instead of receiving $45.25 worth of points I received just the $40 worth of points and my original pre-order purchase it reflecting zero points earned.  Both transactions are reading as Pending still so I'm not sure if that's the problem or what.  I'm  concerned that if I had paid $40 worth of pre-order and my final pickup out of pocket cost was like $1-2 would I only have received $2 worth of points?  If so I'll never spend more than $5 for a pre-order and the victory pre-order $10 credit you want to lure us in with turns out to be $5 only.
    Just curious to if the pre-order value (when actual cash and not a trade in or trade credit) will count for points after all the transactions go from pending to final.

    Enuf is correct on both counts: it typically takes 15-20 days for points to post, and no points are earned for portions of purchases paid for using gift cards, store credit or reward certificates as payment.   • Not getting my $10 reward check for pre orders

    I don't know what is the deal with this.... I'm sick and tired of having to call the 1800 so they can verified that I had preoder the games in order for them to do it manually. They can't explain why this is happening. I preorder madden and i had to call. I preorder fifa and i had to call ... I preodered NBA 2k15 and it looks like I'm going to have to call ...smh what a pain ...

    I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've encountered with your recent purchases! I'd be frustrated too if I found myself in a similar situation, especially if multiple lengthy phone calls were required to find a resolution in each case.
    I've had the chance to review your account and it looks like the reason why you haven't received a pre-order bonus certificate for NBA 2K15 is because you exchanged your initial copy for another format. Since our systems recognize this as a return, this prevents any applicable pre-order bonuses from being issued and points from being awarded.   • My pre-order cancellation isn't working!!

    I recently pre ordered an album on itunes but then changed my mind and want to cancel it. I went into my account and went into 'manage my pre orders' and cancelled it that way. However, i then searched the album and it told me that it was still pre ordered. I do not want it any more and I don't want to have to pay for it when it is released. I have also tried signing out and then back in, and also turning my lap top on and off again. HELP!!!

    Never mind! Mine fixed its self when i went back into itunes.

    I pre-ordered an album that is slated for release next week and I was wondering will I be refunded upon cancellation? I purchased the pre-order January 4th and cancelled the order January 24th, but the item had already been charged to my credit card.

    Is there a cancelation fee on pre-ordering games online? I know I am not charged for the game until I pick it up in store, so I know I don't have to worry about doing a return. Just a curiousity question. Thanks!

  • Pre-orders canceled

    I pre-order my games from BestBuy as I purchased the Gamer's Unlocked Membership. BestBuy convinced me to sign up for their BestBuy Mastercard. I was qualified to enroll and was directed on how to change my previous VISA purchases to the MASTERCARD purchase for the pre-order. Now I come online to check on the status and go pick up one of the pre-orders and BestBuy canceled ALL OF MY ORDERS.
    I lost my pre-order bonus for The Last of Us PS4 edition. What the hell??

    I'm not much of a gamer, but as I do place pre-orders for other items, I can imagine being equally as frustrated if this had happened to me multiple times. I apologize for any inconvenience this process may have caused you.
    Orders can sometimes cancel if we are unable to verify some pieces of your information.   • Random 4s Pre-order Cancellation

    This may be long and a borderline rant (it is), but i'd like to know if anyone else has come accross a similar problem and what they did.. anyways ill give the entire story of our troubles from ordering to re-ordering in a timeline type perspective (the times may not be correct, just trying to show how the events unfolded)
    October 8th:
    12 PM: access website to pre-order
    12:20:  arrive at confirmation screen  for 3 iphone 4s (16gb white, 16gb black, 64 gb black) and multiple accessories
    12:25 : after reviewing our items 1 last time, the website did not apply any discount to accessories as it said it would
    12:45: called verizon wirless after re-doing the order to see if that would work.. customer services determines that the discounts on accessories isn't registerying
    1:00: In order for the discounts to go through, the order must be done over the phone
    1:20: In order to compensate for our troubles, the clerk must do the transaction in 2 seperate orders to give us an even better discount on the accessories
    1:30: we receive two confirmation emails, one for accessories, one for the phones
    1:40: terms and conditions accepted (extra step for purchases over the phone)
    Later that week around October 11th or 12th:
    Accessories received
    Today (October 17th):
    8am: "Your iphone 4s pre-order has been cancelled" There is NO  reason in the email for its cancellation
    8:40am: it has been determined that noone can figure out why the order has been can cancelled, the only solution is to re-order the iphone 4s.
    8:45am: clerk states that the 16gb models are sold out everywhere around me
    9:00am: phones have been re-ordered and delivery is pushed from a tentative date of oct 21st, to oct 28th.
    9:10am: NO comepensation has been given to us
    This is rediculous and I am furious.
    My family spends quite a fortune on Verizon products between FIOS (cable,phone,internet), 4g network cards, 3 verizon wirelss smartphones, and 3g on the ipad when my parents travel.. to be shafted like this is insane...
    The least they could do is bump us up to keep us at the october 21st delivery date.
    Not only did we almost get scammed out of discounts from a faulty website but now they straight up cancelled our order with no reasoning. We have been able to determine that it deffinately has nothing to do with the credit card and is straight up due to Verizon's system but they stated there is no reason and we simply had to re-order it.
    I am also skeptical as to if the phone is actually sold out in my area and will be making calls.  I feel like she said this to score herself some commission.
    Has anyone else encountered a similar problem with their pre-order and is now forced to wait a whole extra week?

    I received the same email this morning and was furious. No explanation for the cancellation given in the email so I called customer service. I too had attempted to pre-order my iphone 4s 16gb online on the 8th but also could not complete the transaction online and was forced to complete it over the phone. The CSR told me about an accessories bundle that over the course of our conversation I decided I did want to purchase it but was then was told that they were sold out. Nevertheless, I still purchased the iphone, listened to the terms and conditions recording and then gave consent, confirmed the sale, and received the confirmation email stating deivery by 10/21/2011.
    Fast forward to today. I called CS and spoke to rep and told her about my email. She checked my account and said that I hadn't consented to the terms and conditions within the 4-5 day time period one has to do that and so the order was automatically cancelled. I told her that I had in fact consented over the phone to the sales person when I ordered the phone. She apologized and said that for some reason it did not get put into the system and so she would have to put the order back through with a new shipment date of 10/28/2011. I said that that was unacceptable as I would be without a phone and was counting on the 10/21 arrival and I had given consent- I relayed to her the automated recording I had to lilsten to and she said, "oh, so you got that far through the process?" to which I responded, "yes, I made it through the whole process, gave consent, agreed to insurance, paid and got confirmation." She put me on hold- came back on and said that she would contact one of my local stores to get me a phone, I told her that they sold out but she still put me on hold and tried and of course found out that they don't have any anywhere around me in my state.
    She then told me that she spoke with their Internet Services and was told that there was a glitch in their system and 60 million customers orders appeared to be canceled, but weren't really even though emails went out stating that they were. She said that I should receive an email later today stating that the order is going through as originally scheduled. I asked why she had said that it had been canceled because I had supposedly not consented to the terms and conditions and she said that that was part of the glitch. I don't know what to think personally- but I am not happy and really won't believe this until I see my phone arrive on the 21st. Has anyone else received this email??
