RF and VLMOVE

Hi
I have handling units in my WM warehouse. I use RF guns to receipt them in (against inbound delivery) and putaway and pick.
I want to be able to do a transfer posting to move product from unrestricted to blocked. Is it possible to get VLMOVE on the RF gun or anything similar?

You need to develop a custom RF Tcode using Function module ....
HU_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT & Input
HUWBEVENT = 0022 Transfer posting blocked -> unrestr.
But your RF execution set up must be real time update.
1 more input. This functin module is copy of Transaction HUMO. Here you must selct HU than EDIT--> Change HU Posting.
This transaction helps to execute alost all scenarios.

QM lot with Handling Unit Mgt in MD04

It seems it is not possible to see the inspection lots in MD04 when using HUM. Any ideas what development is required to make these appear in stock requirements list?

Yes, that is true but you can still do it by changing a few things. I have just finished my investigation and here are the learnings.Finally, I couldn't use it because we also use APO and to send inspection lots to APO standard SAP needs to be changed which could be risky.
The OSS note I mentioned says: "......but also using transactions such as Transaction HUMO or Transaction VLMOVE.". This is not very convincing for me because I can disallow particular movement types for transactions HUMO and VLMOVE.I would really like to know other impacts. It is like SAP just decided not to investigate the functionality any further:-).
To get the insp lots into MD04, you need to chnage view MDQM using se11 and add entry: Table JEST; Field Name STAT EQ u2018I0443u2019. This entry needs to be included before the last line with u2018ORu2019 in the previous step and u2018ANDu2019 operator in this step.Also you need to comment the check on handling units in includes LM61XF2Q and LQPWEF10. These chnages will get the inspection lots in MD04
But as I said, it is modification in SAP code so could be dangerous because of unknown risks. The OSS note does not explicitly tell other potential impacts.
If you are using APO as we do, then you need to make further chnages in function: QAPO_GET_LOTS_FOR_APO.
Include LCLOTUXX>>LCLOTU01
Function pool- SAPLCLOT
    if SPRQ is not set or HUM is set => delete the lot!!!
    if l_qals_wa-insmk is not set    => delete the lot!!!
      IF    l_stat_wa-sprq IS INITIAL
         OR l_stat_wa-hum EQ c_x
         OR l_qals_wa-insmk IS INITIAL
         OR l_qals_wa-lmengezub = 0.
        DELETE g_qals_tab.
But do it at your own risk!

VLMOVE and nested HU

Hello,
Our configuration is the following :
HU-1A level 1
HU-2A level 2
material 1 qty 1
HU-2B level 2
material 1 qty 1
Our HU level 1 has to be reused.
When we want to do an exit by scanning the HU-2A by using VLMOVE the
system uses the HU-1A instead and do the exit for all materials !!
So the only workaround for us is to depack first by using HU02 and then
using VLMOVE. As this takes too much time and it is quite complicated
for users, we have to do a specific for this which is quite complicated.
Is there any way to do the exit for the nested HU only ?
or there is a better workaround ? (badi, user exit?)

I can suggest another way .. just check whether you can do this.
The material can be returned to inventory ( using reversal of the movement type by which the material is issued to project i.e. 282) and then issue to the project from the inventory.

VLMOVE 321 with nested Handling Unit

Hi
I have the following situation:
- Handling Unit active
- WM active (with Storage Unit)
- QM not active
I have nested HUs:
.1         HU001
...2       HU002
......3    Material A, Batch B1, quantity 10 pcs in inspection stock
...2       HU003
......3    Material A, Batch B2, quantity 20 pcs in inspection stock
In WM, I have only HU001.
The first question is: Is possible to manage lower-level HU as Storage Unit in WM? I mean, can I have HU002 and HU003 as storage unit number instead of HU001 in WM?
The second is: when I try to post HU002 to unrestricted-use stock (with VLMOVE 321), SAP posts the higher HU in unrestricted-use stock, changing also the stock of HU003 (Material A Batch B2).
I don't want it because Batch B2 isn't inspected!!
I think that I could unpack HU001, posting change to HU002 and then repack, but this process is very time expensive and it should be done automatically by interface from an external LIMS.
Have you got any idea?
If I activate QM-IDI interface (with inspection lots), could it be possible?

you just select the lower-level HU when you confirm TO. we don't need to unpack.

HU and WM managed SLoc with QM

Hello all,
we have problem with a HU managed SLoc and inspection lots. If we post the stock in the usage decision from restricted to unrestricted a delivery is created automaitcally in the same time. We dont know why. How can we prevent this. Please tell me whether you need more infomation.

With HUM/WM active, you need to specify the affected HU/SU for every goods movement. When you do transfer post via IM, SAP will create an HU delivery (normally delivery type HTP) which you then have to create a Transfer Order to select the affected SU before you can post goods movement. As you are probably doing a movt 341/342 (?), the same logic applies.
If you want to avoid this behavior, maybe you want to deactivate QM for 341/342 in IMG> Logisticsc-General > Handling Unit Management > Basics > MAterials Management > Inventory Management > Set QM check and Delivery Type for each Movement type.
For other goods movements, it is preferred to post movements by HU via VLMOVE to avoid delivery creation. Unfortunately, there are only limited movement types offered by standard SAP in this transaction.
I have been looking for forum experts on QM with HU/WM environment as I've been encountering some problems in other areas too, but looks like there are not too many.
Anyway, hope my input helped.

Problem in 301 Stock transfer via VLMOVE for Handling Unit movement

Hi Gurus
I am having one issue, where handling unit is active. So user facing one issues that user has posted the stock around 10 qty , after some material movements , stock showing as 9 in MMBE , where as checking the handling units showing 10 In HUMO . Now user wants to do the stock transfer 301 via VLMOVE. But system is giving error message like u201Cdeficit of stock, handling units can't be movedu201D, anybody advise is there anyway how user can do this transaction.

Hi,
The solution for creating inbound delivery that you people have suggested is already in place. The problem is not with creation of inbound delivery but with assigning the material HUs to the inbound delivery. As material HUs are having status assigned to Shipment Document which is created after outbound delivery is processed. How should I go about it? Even after status of shipment document is made complete, assignment of HUs to inbound delivery is not possible. Please help to resolve this issue.

Transfer HU to vendor VLMOVE

Hello,
I need solution for my customer process:
1. Step: I use transfer PO subcontracting with HU for row material to vendor for subcontracting process (Transaction vlmove )
2. Step: I perform GR for assembly product : goods issue from vendor stock and receive finish product ?
Is there any way of using HU for this process.

If you want to use handling units for transferring materials to subcontractor, you will have to use deliveries (delivery type LB). The handling units can be assigned to the delivery before PGI.
The delivery can be created via TCode ME2O. Make sure the following are maintained
- Sales views in material master
- Customer master with sales views assigned to vendor master
- Shipping point determination configuration.
During GR, handling units may be used as in the standard process.

Handling Unit Block and Unblock

I have requirement to block and unblock Handling Unit or Storage Unit in warehouse management. How to block and unblock the
Handling Unit with the function module and what is the table where I can see the blocking status of
the Handling Unit .

I hope I get you right.
To change the status of handling unit to blocked stock, do the following:
- transaction code VLMOVE
- above select procedure "0023" --> Posting chance from unrestricted use stock to blocked stock (movement type 344)
- then enter handling unit number
- press enter --> you get new line item with this HU number below
- select this new line item --> post document
- on the next screen you get the number of material document just created
- now the handling unit is blocked
- to unblock it later - use another VLMOVE procedure
Table where you can see this status:
- check table LQUA (warehouse quants)
- enter the WH number and quant number (you get this one if you check details of the quant in bin) --> you get record for exactly this handling unit
- see field LQUA-BESTQ (equals S - blocked stock)

Serial number in VLMOVE

hi all
when we use 321 in VLMOVE for transfer materials from inspection stock to unrestricted stock and when we have serial number for some materials system take error "Only 0 serial numbers entered instead of 2 "
how can i insert serial number for material in VLMOVE or how can transfer materials from inspection stock to unrestricted stock ? please guide me

VLMOVE is used to transfer handling units and expects the serial numbers already to be assigned, it doesn't provide any input to assign serial numbers. Usually, you assign the serial numbers in the Handling Unit during packing. In this case the serial numbers may not have been assigned in the handling unit at creation. If you want to use VLMOVE, then you first have to assign the serial numbers in the handling unit (transaction HU02).
I'm wondering why you try VLMOVE as usually you transfer materials from Inspection stock via the Inspection lot processing and not via direct IM movements, indeed your QM config may prevent this.

Storage movement and cost

Hi,
i use the movement 303 to remove the stock from store and put it into Intransit inventory of recieving plant then, when recieve the material, store it with the movement 305.
Now i want to capture the transportation cost, then create the delivery documents with transaction VLMOVE (movement 303) and put it into a shipment document but when i try to do the 305 movement (again VLMOVE) the system says me "HUs that are assigned to an object cannot be posted".
Where i'm wrong? Please Help me!

I am trying to make goods receipt of a handling units that are assigned to a delivery. HU_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT returns the error:
HUFUNCTIONS-252 : HUs that are assigned to an object cannot be posted
is there anyway for this movement. Any transaction or bapi??

by using VLMOVE I want to create a delivery. but I get the message:
"HU xxxxxxx is in the warehouse, assignment only possible through transf. order"
Do I have to use LT09 in this case and if so, how do I create a delivery?
Any suggestion is helpfull and will be rewarded!

The point is that you need a delivery where the HUs to be posted can be packed. As you know, packing cannot be reflected inside a material document. It is not possible to use LT06! LT12 must be for a TO created with LT03 because the TO confirmation will then update the HUs to the delivery. When the material document is created afterwards the HU status can be updated. You really need a delivery before the picking can be done.

When you use VLMOVE to move several HUs to a storage location, after selecting the process (for example, 311), the storage location and the HU number and clicking enter, the HU is added to the list at the bottom part of the screen, and all the values (process, SL, HU) disappear.
In my scenario, since we have many HUs we need to move to the same SL using the same process (movement type 311) , we want to be able to add all the HUs without having to select 311 for each HU.
Is here a way to local the value of the process screen field?

Can I use 313 Q and 315 Q movement types?

I am not able to use 313 Q and 315 Q movement types in standard sap. Why this provision is not provided by sap? What are the settings to get this.

The withdrawal from the blocked stock or the quality inspection stock is not supported.
Solution
To date, there is no solution available for this problem in the SAP standard system.
OSS note 448761 explaining solution and some restrictions for VLMOVE Event 0025 stock transfer blocked stock in plant process.
amongst other things following is said:
There are not two-step movement types for blocked stock since no stock in transit, quality inspection exists .
You can proof it technically as well:
The stock is stored in table MARD. Table MARD does not have fields for transit stock unrestricted, transit stock blocked or transit stock QI.
MARD just has fields transit stock, unrestricted stock, blocked stock and QI stock. Hence the quantity can only be in one of these fields.

Dynamic destination bin with Mov. Type 311-312 and Storage type 001?

Hello WM experts,
I'm tryng to determine dynamic destination bin with mov. type 311, when trasfering handling units from IM to WM storages (VLMOVE). First 311 transfer to St. type 921, and then 312 transfer from 921 to St. type 001. I don´t want to use a Fixed destination storage bin in St.type 001, I'd like to configure this like movement type 601, that create a dynamic destination bin using outbound delivery. Can be this possible?
Another question I have: Is possible to crearte individivual items with Source target quantity in alternate unit equivalent to 1 unit, in LT03. For example, the item 10 of my outbound delivery says 3 ST of XYZ material. But I want to crear 3 items with Source target qty. 1 ST. Is this possible with customizing or using an enhancement? ...
Why I want to find a way to do any of these things above, because when I have indivial intes in the TO, I can confirm them in RF (LM61) just pressing one button, I don't need to declare any difference, and makes my picking process faster.
