Rgd Function Module

Hi
We have a function module in which we call a BAPI Function Module and we need to declare same parameter while passing values to in and out of function module
I have a case where
Example call function 'bapi_create1'
Table
schlx = bapi...
but in Bapi function module schlx was declared as 'schlex'
thus it makes any difference in unicode environment and parameters declared need to same?

I am invoking A remote function module while invoking it get an exception when i see the error logs

You can go through the following steps

-o Restart of the J2EE instance and try re-importing the RFC model. Sometimes it helps.
-o Logon into WebDynpro Content Administrator as a J2EE Admin and check if the JCO Connections and User /pwd of your application is correct. You can ping or test your JCO connections. if something is wrong, enter the values again for JCO n retest them.
-o Try undeploying or removing the complete application and redeploy it.
Tu undeploy please go to
Go to Visual Admin -> Server -> Services -> Deploy ->

Under Runtime Tab
select the server, open the tree , you would find the webdypro list there.
Now select an application, first stop it, remove it and redeploy if necessary.

Function module usage in vendor ageing report for ageing calculation

as i have to calculate the vendor ageing
which is nothing but
AGEING = Currentdate - BLINE date
so for this i have coded as follows and use the function module but couldn't get the result .it is alwayas showing 0 means ageing is o but it is not like that
parameter:p_date1 type dats.

so what is the bug in it.

declare ur internal table field , of type BSIK-ZFBDT or sy-datum
thats the only thing u want to do.
the other parameter is sy-datum
data: field like BSIK-ZFBDT.

Function Modules Used in BW? (Two Questions)

I have two function Modules that were used in SAP R3:
G_SET_GET_ID_FROM_NAME
G_SET_GET_ALL_VALUES
G_SET_TREE_IMPORT
Question 1) Are there cross referenced FMs in BW that we can use in place of these?
Question 2) Is here a XREF lift of Cross-Functional Function Modules that can be used - or similar- in BW that were used in SAP/R3?

Replacement for a Function module

Hi all,
There is a function module 'HELP_VALUES_GET_NO_DD_NAME' to display possible values for a database field. This FM is getting obsolete in near future.
Does anyone know any replacement provided by SAP for this FM?

Function Module SWK_LOCAL_INBOX_GET does not exists

Hi,
I configured UWL in the Portal.
When i am trying to acess UWL, throwing an exception.
it says "Exception type:com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.connect.ConnectorException Message:Thu Apr 12 15:58:26 GMT+05:30 2007 :Function Module SWK_LOCAL_INBOX_GET not found"
Can anyone help me what could be the problem.

Hello Kiran,
at least the user needs to have the Role SAP_BC_SRV_GBT_USER in backend.
My only other idea is to check the existance of the plugin (WP-PI) in R/3.
But, in a similar situation (missing plugin in R/3) i got the ConnectorException "Failed getting the following function metadata from repository: URL_SERVER_TYPE_DATA_GET".
Perhaps a trace in R/3 could assist you?

Function module for display production order details

Hi All,
I want to display production order details including operation,sub-operations and components using standard FM.I checked 4 FMs, but some are not displaying my require details. I found PM_ORDER_DATA_READ function module, it is displaying all details.But you can execute the function module 2 times for different orders it is giving ABAP dump 'itab_error'. Please get back to me if any one faced this problem or know solution.I am also checked BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GETDETAIL FM.
My require fields are
AUFNR, WERKS, PLNAL, PLNFL, VORNR,UVORN, ARBPL, KTSCH,
LTXA1,OFFSTB,VGW01 etc.
I am using SAP 4.7 release. Please send me either standard FM or BAPI to display all details of production order.

Error while executing Function Module UNIT_CONVERSION_WITH_FACTOR.

Hi experts:
    I'm trying to use the UNIT_CONVERSION_WITH_FACTOR Function Module on
BW but an error message appears, I searched for Notes on the SAP
Marketplace but only found a single note that describes the same
situation that we're experiencing (SAP Note 1333415), the thing is that
such a note is applicable for SAP BASIS version 702 but I'm using SAP
BASIS version 700.
Steps for Reconstruction
- On transaction SE37 call the u201CUNIT_CONVERSION_WITH_FACTORu201D Function
Module.
- Click on the u201CTest/Executeu201D button (or press the F8 key).
- Enter the following values:
   o ADD_CONST = 0
   o DENOMINATOR = 1
   o INPUT = 20
   o NUMERATOR = 1568
- Click on the u201CExecuteu201D button (or press the F8 key).
- The Exception u201CTYPE_INVALIDu201D is reached and the following message
appears: u201CUse a number field for field OUTPUTu201D.
I also tried to use this Function Module on R/3 and the result was the same.
Do you have any suggestion to fix this error?

How to raise the exception in function module

Dear abaper's.
I am creating a Function module .In that in' EXCEPTION' Tab i am giving
3 exception .1.NO_DATA_FOUND 2.NO_PRINTER_FOUND 3.SMARTFORM_INTERFACE_NOT_FOUND.
In my coding if this condtion matches i want to raise this exception.how can i do this in my coding .can any one suggest me..

if that condition is not satisfied,and u didn't handle that exception while calling function module then in the runtime error u will get the text as the description of the exception in function module definition.

BAPI or Function Module for getting Pending Purchase Orders Information

Dear Sir,
We have input information comprising of :
List of Item Codes
Plant
WBS Element
For this input data set , We want to know the list of Pending Purchase Orders information . To get the desired information , we are looking for the suitable BAPI / Function Module which can provide the desired information .
I understand that there is ME2L tcode availavle which can give the desired information .
But as we need to use the information in one of our Z program , so we need the BAPI / Function Module .

Go to se37,enter ur generated function module name .
Put a brkpoint at first executable statement of that FM.
If u run ur program,then it will stop.
Then put brk point on SSRFT_READ_ERROR(From menu).
after press f8,u will know what is the reason of ur error.

Problem with Call transaction method in function module

Dear Frndz,
           I am converting its services into webdynpro.
           I developed a rfc[function module] for travel management [TRIP] . In that rfc i used call transaction method[BDC] to upload the data. The same rfc will be called from the frontend[portal].It is working fine in development for whome se37 execution authorization was assigned. It is not working for other users. I hope it is something relevant to authorization .If suppose can i create a authorization object for this rfc and assign it to the profile.
        Normally users can be given authorization to run the tcode.
similarly i want to give the authorization to be given users to execuste this funtion module.
huv can i do it ?? any suggestion.

Use ST01 transaction to start authorization trace, you will then see what authorizations are missing (if your assumption is right of course, i.e. if it's really an authorization problem)

Help on Parameters in RFC Function Module

Hi,
I am creating a RFC function module. The requirement is:
In a report program, the user enters ABC and XYZ values on the selection screen. These 2 fields are select options so will have From-Value and To-Value. This report program will pass these values to my RFC FM and depending upon these values I have to read a DB table and pass the data back to the program.
My doubt is, how should I intake these select options value? i.e should I specify them in import tab or tables tab? What TYPE/LIKE should I use?
Please help me in this...

I am doing as below in the IMPORT tab.
Parameter name/Type Spec/Associated Type
ABC/LIKE/
I am not sure what type I have to use here as the incoming values will be of type SELECT-OPTIONS. Is there any standard type to specify here? If not, what should I do?
