Rman level 0 backup, how to confirm its full backup or not?

I am performing the level 0 full rman backup on daily basis and i am aware this backup make the base to incremental backup i.e level 1.
When i looked into object_type from v$backup_status, its show label of DB_INCR for level 0 full backup or even same status from EM. My boss suspect we are not taking full backup. Is there any way to prove or confirm, whether backup copies are full backup or not? Pls advise.

"Add Folder to Library" is still in the file menu, but you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the file menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:

How to make a full backup of my iPad without using iTunes

I need to make a full backup of my iPad. I am using the Vudu app and have many movies downloaded to my iPad. I have performed a backup of my iPad from iTunes onto my Macbook Pro. The mobile backup files on my laptop are not nearly big enough for the 20+ movies (at lease 1/2 to1 GB each). Because of this I do not believe iTunes has made a full backup including the movies. I want to avoid having to re-download all the movies if/when the iPad drive fails. I want a complete backup such as Time Machine or using some other external hard drive or app on my MacBook Pro.
I bought a Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB Mobile Cloud Storage with Built-in WiFi Streaming (STCK1000100) external hard drive and installed the Seagate Media App. I can, via the app on the iPad, see the device and copy to and from it. But, it only allows access to music, movies in iTunes (not any movies in Vudu), and things like documents on my iPad. It does not allow access to all the files inclding system files stored on the iPad. I also tried another Seagate non wireless external drive that I connected directly to the iPad but the Seagate Media app does not communicate with or recognize the device from the iPad.
I also bought DiskAid software that supposedly will make a complete backup of an App on a mobile device and installed it on my laptop. I was able to make a complete backup of the Vudu app from the iPad onto my laptop, but in a test could not restore it to my iPad. The backup file, though, was the right size, about 26 GB. The DiskAid techs are looking into that. I was able to use DiskAid to backup another app in a test (Hertz). That app made a backup of the Hertz app onto my laptop, I deleted the app on my iPad, then I was able to restore it. But right now the restore option is not working for Vudu.
Another option would be to copy the movie files off of the iPad onto my Laptop, but the iPad does not appear in the finder window on the Laptop.
I have about decided my MacBook Pro laptop will have to be the main repository for all the downloaded movies, since I can make a Time Machine backup of everything.
It is very frustrating to not be able to make a full backup of everything on my iPad.
Anyone else have any ideas? Apple - when are you going to provide a way to make a full backup of an iPad?

I recommend Super Duper as well. I use it batch mode to automatically back up my iMAC every night at 2 am. It's saved my life a couple of times- once my disk crashed (under warranty)and what could have been a disaster (1000's of irreplaceable photos) was a 2 day inconvenience.
Now and then I boot up from my backup on my firewire drive, wipe, check and reformat my internal hard disk, copy back all my files and I'm good to go

After "Reconnecting" to my backups, TM still does a full backup

I upgraded from 10.6.8 to 10.8 (yes I skiped 10.7) last week, and would very much like to keep my Time Machine backup history. I followed the instructions on Pondini's website http://pondini.org/TM/B6.html, but TM still performed a full backup of all my data. I then followed http://pondini.org/TM/A4.html to reset Time Machine, still TM performed full backup. After TM performed the full backup, I ran BackupLoupe and saw that TM did recorgnize the histroy. I tested it by deleting a small unimportant file via TM's interface, and TM did delete it from all backups.
What happened with TM? How do I avoid this unnecessary full backup? The following are the messages from the Console while TM performed the backup. Thanks in advance.

[Windows Server 2008 R2] [Windows Server Backup] How to remove an old backup set

Hello,
long time ago I made a backup of some files of a server on a network location running manually a command like this one:
"wbadmin start backup -backupTarget:\\Server1\Backup\MyServer\wbadmin_Effe -include:F: -user:DOMAIN\myself -password:******** -quiet"
Now this network location is no more available because that machine is definitely broken.
I have no problems to run and create backups on a local drive or on other network locations.
My only problem is that now, in the main window of Windows Server Backup, when i click "View details" under "All Backups", I can still see that backup as the oldest available... that's a bit annoying.
It appears also if I run the command "wbadmin GET VERSIONS".
Does anybody know how can I remove this backup version set from my server?

Hi Alex,
The command will remove all backups existed on your server. If you cannot get Shadow Copy ID and there are "good" backups existed on you server, you could not remove the old backup versions.

How to make a *full* backup (including the hidden partition), free solution prefered =) [T400]

Hi,
I'm planning on messing with my system a little (re-partition, install linux) and I want a full-proof recovery plan. This should work in case I *completely* mess up my HD (bad boot records, destroyed partitions, etc.)
I have an external hard drive with plenty of free space. How would I make a completely backup; something that would restore everything (including the hidden partition) to its current state?
Is there any way to do this using free/opensource?
Keep in mind that if there's a linux app that can do this, I can just boot up using a live CD and run the app from there.

Vista or XP? What is/was the partition layout? IIRC, w/XP the 2nd partition is the service partition (hd0,1) and with Vista it is the first (hd0,0). I don't know if that is always the case, so how is your drive layed out?
ISTR that with XP the service partition is "hidded' by using an ID of 12 (or something) even though it is a FAT32 partition. Grub might be unhappy with the ID. Changing it to "C" might let it boot. That's just a WAG. My recollection is that the ID only affected where I could install the grub files, not what I could boot.

I don't know clonezillla. Will it let you restore only one of the partitions? If so, do a restore to factory (with the recovery media you made immediately on receiving the laptop) and then restore only the Vista or XP partition from clonezilla.

How to make a FULL backup of the MBP

Hi, I have to sent the MBP in because I have some strange noises. The question is how can I backup my full computer like it is now, erase ( format) it and play the whole thing on it again, when I finaly get the repaired one back.
I could use one of my FW 500 drives.
Any ideas??

How to do a full backup

I was told by an apple genius to do a full system backup because they need to erase all of the stuff on my hdd to complete test every part of my computer to see if my computer is worth fixing or replacing. I have what the genius calls "Ghosting". He says it is very serious problem. So like the topic says how do I do a full system backup. I was told to drag the Macintosh HD to the portable hdd, but every time I do that it starts and then it says that I still have a file that already exists and then I hit ok, and then it stops. Any other ways.

I installed superduper last night. I don't have a firewire drive so i cloned my harddisk to an external USB2 drive; that went successfully.
I just read your thread and decided to try and boot from it. I held down 'option' after a restart, and sure enough i booted the clone no problems; it was like the whole computer was running in Rosetta (usb2 speed) but worked perfect nonetheless.
I then ran disk utility from another restart and it allowed me the option to restore from the USB2 clone.
So yes
Superduper states you can use a USB2 drive but they recommend firewire, i would imagine this is due to the transfer times - would take a while to restore from a USB drive

How to Confirm a Mail Delivered or Not?

I am sending emails using java mail from my MDB in weblogic6.1. I want to get confirmation if the message is delivered or not.
How can I achive this? If any one can suggest how I can track or come to know that there is some problem in mail server or any

Yes I am also aware that if you send mail by smtp you will not get a confirmation... thats why I wanted to know if some one has tried some work around for that?
I think if we can not get the confirmation we can try to adapt some failover stratergy ....? like if mail sesson was not found, or cound not connect to the mail server ...then how we can use that exception first to notify to admin that this is the problem and secondly how we can recover or correct the problem?

Since you sent me the same question by PM, I thought I would reply here as well.
The build records indicate your system was manufactured on 3-15-13 and were listed with FRU 42Y0528 however, I do find 04X1240 and it is also a backlit keyboard for T530 ... see the part list here.
It is possible there was a part substitution to an alternate part or later level part available which still scanned in under the original part for some reason during manufacturing.
Warranty started 3-17-2013 and will currently expire 4-30-2016 so it looks like it has an extra 6 weeks added to it to allow for inventory sell through. I would assume it was sold through a business partner.
I don't see any reason to indicate the system is not new. When you received it, were the seals on the plastic bags still in place?

Restore always looks for level 0 backup, not the incremental backups.
Incremental backups comes in picture during recovery.
During Recovery, Oracle looks for incremental backups, if exists, it will do the recovery with the incremental backups, if no incremental backups available, then, it will look for archived logs.
Therefore, incremental backups never used during restore, they are used only during the recovery.
