RmiServer starup issue

We are getting the below exception during startup. It is coming on only one instance and it is working correctly for all other instances.
Anyone have encountered something like this?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Although the exception was not relevant, it was due to the RMI port conflict. The SQLRepositoryEventServer component of other instance randomly picked up the port used by this instance.
It is resolved now. Thanks
Mohan..

  • Ongoing Starup Issue - 2 months old. [ELITE Mac Master Level]

    I closed the case on my PB and an hour later, it's dead.
    The only signs of life I get is the hard drive quietly hums when I start it up and the green caps lock & number lock lights works.
    I get no chime, no screen activity and as far as I can hear with my ear pressed up to the case, no hard drive activity except for the spinning sound. (no clicks or ticks)
    In an attempt to fix this problem i have performed the following steps
    -tried resetting power PRAM, and NVRAM
    -tried resetting the Power manager
    -disconnected all usb/firewire/ext devices
    -tried starting in target disk mode
    -tried booting from CD, but it at my disk!!!
    It only does one thing.

    ok, I got it to boot up.
    It's been up for 8 hours now, but I know if I close the lid or allow it to fall asleep, it will never wake up.
    I swear, if this was a a car, the problem would be the starter. Do i really have to pay apple to repair a defective laptop?

  • Security issues - Runtime().exec() on RMIServer

    Hi.
    I have a RMI system where the RMIClient calls the RMIServer to start a new program - notepad.exe - at the RMIServer.
    RMIServer has a remote object that uses Runtime().exec() to start notepad.exe.
    I have the following security policy file on the RMIServer:
    grant {
    permission java.net.SocketPermission "*:1024-65535",
    "connect,accept";

    I think you may have the first path specified wrongly. Try making the first parameter "C:\\WINNT\\system32\\notepad.exe" see the JavaDoc for java.io.FilePermission for specifics.

  • [SOLVED]Starup sript not getting executed in systemd

    Hello All,
    I have a script(rpi_user.sh) which has to be executed every time when I start my computer. But the startup script is not executing. Following are the steps which I have done. I am using systemd. I upgraded my system successfully today.
    The script which I wanted to execute was very small and easy. I just creates a new file with the echoed text. Below is my script(rpi_user.sh)
    cd /home/pi/
    echo Jeffrey > 1
    When ever I restart my system, I am not able to see the file '1'
    I made the startup script(rpi_user.sh) and kept in /usr/bin. Also I followed the instruction in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … process.3F
    Below shown in my service file (rpi_user.service)
    [Unit]
    Description=rpi_user
    [Service]
    ExecStart=/usr/bin/rpi_user.sh
    [Install]
    WantedBy=multi-user.target
    After creating rpi_user.sh, I executed the following command to make the file executable - chmod +x rpi_user.sh
    Once completing these steps, I executed the following commands (I got these info from http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.p … up-script)
    # systemctl --system daemon-reload
    # systemctl start rpi_user.service
    # systemctl enable rpi_user.service
    # systemctl status rpi_user.service
    But things didn't go fine. When I ran "systemctl status rpi_user.service", I got the following error
    rpi_user.service - rpi_user
          Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/rpi_user.service; enabled)

    Could anyone of you answer the following questions.
    1) Is there any thing wrong which I have done ? Is this the way to create startup scripts ?
    2) Could you help me in fixing the issue - how can I make my starup script run ?
    Thanks and Best Regards,

    @karol: I agree it is an raspberry pi. But once ArchLinux is installed, it doesnot make much difference whether it is an RaspberryPi or an Pentium machine. Thats the reason I posted the question here. But anyways I will post it in ArchRpi forum also.
    @cfr: Yes. I have added #!/bin/sh. But the result is same. I get the same error. What is the need of "-" in "#!/bin/sh -" ? I didnot add "-".

  • JNDI Lookup for JMS Topic issue.......!

    Hi,
              Our application is deployed on two nodes (MS1 and MS2 in a cluster) and I created JMSServer on MS1, JMS ConnectionFactory and Distributed Topic are targeted on both MS1 and MS2 i.e on entire cluster.
              We have the JMS Code in postStart() method of starup class which extends ApplicationLifecycleListener which would create the JMS Subcriber and set the message listener on to it.
              code snippet:
                   System.out.println("createSubscriber called");
                   subSession = topicConnection.createTopicSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
                   // Lookup for the Topic
                   Topic cadTopic = (Topic) ctx.lookup("JMSTopicLog4j");
                   System.out.println("Topic is: " + cadTopic.getTopicName());
                   // Create JMS Subscriber.
                   cadSubscriber = subSession.createSubscriber(cadTopic);
                   // Set the listener to Subscriber.
                   cadSubscriber.setMessageListener(new CADMessageListener());
                   topicConnection.start();
              When I start the cluster (managed Servers MS1 and MS2) for the first time and deploy the application on them (entire cluster) it works well i.e. message listener is active and able to receive messages published by publisher but when I try to stop and start MS2 it gives the following exception during server startup
              javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve 'JMSTopicLog4j'. Resolved ''
              javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Unable to resolve 'JMSTopicLog4j'. Resolved ''; remaining name 'JMSTopicLog4j'

              at weblogic.jndi.internal.WLContextImpl.lookup(WLContextImpl.java:362)
              Note: I thought my application context is getting started before JNDI tree is loaded but I could see that it is able to lookup the ConnectionFactory and throws the given exception when it comes to lookup code of JMS Topic.
              is there any configuration issue or am I missing something? Please help me in this regard.
              Thanks in advance.
              Kris.

    Very interesting, I mean in the sense that we have the same setup, but instead of topic we are using the queues.
              And our problem is exactly the same,deployment works but after restart same javax.naming.NameNotFoundException happens on server 2.

  • Is 'digital' copying immune from quality issues?

    Hello!
    This is something I've been thinking about ever since I started 'cloning' and making backups to my external HD. Is cloning (and backup) an EXACT copy - in terms of quality - as the original? You know - when you record from an audio cassette the copy is never going to be 100% the quality of the original right? And every subsequent copy from that copy will deteriorate further and so on. It's the same thing with taking photocopies - the copy never looks as good as the original. And if you were to photocopy the copy, it just gets worse, right? Now that's the problem with 'analog' reproduction, but can the same thing happen with digital reproduction? Or is it totally immune?
    Would love to hear some informed answers on this. Thanks.
    Cheers, Steve.

    Restoring a starup disk from a clone should work OK provided the disk it was cloned from didn't contain any errors or incompatibilities: it's probablyl safer fo do a clean install of everything - if you can - but of course it's more time-consuming. However the issue here isn't the accuracy of the digital coping process, but what state the clone itself is in.
    As to JPEGs and MP3s: when the file is created from the uncompressed original the process throws away some of the information. If you make a direct digital copy of the compressed file the copy will be exactly the same as the file it was made from. However if you open a compressed file and then re-save it you run the risk of throwing away even more information -though on the whole it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference as long as you stick to the same process - i.e. don't open an MP3 file and then resave it as AAC, for example. I don't know how serious the results would be, but it's worth avoiding where possible.

    Regarding the issue with automatic starups:
    Please check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=195616
    You have to update the BIOS to the latest version in order to solve this
    >the volume and the light touch pad does not work correctly
    Im not sure what volume light or touchpad light you meant exactly and what does this mean work not correctly???
    Maybe you could be more specific and could provide more details

  • ADF data control classpath issue

    Hi,
    when I am trying to create a jmx connection as part of adf jmx data control using jdeveloper 11.1.2.2.0.
    As part of jmx connection I am providing websphere server 9.7 fp25 connection (installed in the same machine) details and when I click on test connection in the data control wizard getting the following error
    Connection failed:
    java.io.IOException: Failed to retrieve RMIServer stub: javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Cannot instantiate class: com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory]
    I guess it is a classpath issue. If it is, where can I provide the class path for data control? or something else I have to do?
    I found the above missing class is available in  /scratch/was/IBM/Websphere/AppServer/runtimes/com.ibm.ws.admin.client_7.0.0.jar
    Please suggest.
    thanks in advance,

  • Zen Xtra Issues - Ret

    Sorry about the earlier posts, the forum seems to be playing up on my system:
    I have had a Zen Xtra 60 for the past 3 months and I have found it to be less reliable than the Jukebox 3 that I used to have. The issues I have seen are:
    . The player starting itself up with no effort, ie its left in a pocket of my coat and it will boot itself up and start playing. Sometimes I can have control of the player but other times I will see or both of the screen lighting up blue with no writing or the OS locking up necessitating the battery being removed and reinserted.
    2. More seriously, the player will reboot during a track playing back. Usually happens while I am walking, the sound cuts out and I get the starup screen, the sound will play again but at a previous point (when i first booted the player)
    I am using the latest firmware.
    Regards
    Mark

    If you've tried the latest firwmare, a reset and a disk cleanup, and it still is behaving strangely you ought to contact Creative Support.

  • W7 install and LION issues and appearance of disk0s4.

    What is going on here?
    I have always used bootcamp and previous OSX successfully with Windows, until LION.  Now I am able to boot to windows from a "power off".power on>option button down.select windows icon HD.  But cannot do so on a simple restart (no HD's icons are displayed), and in system preferences Startup Disk pane..windows is not there, and in disk utility my windws disk is idenitfied by disk0s4 (not mounted, MS DOS Fat, no files, but 100gb size is there).
    Perhaps someone has some insight or suggestins on this.
    1) Installed LION using bootcamp.
    2) Now, choice for duo boot is only after power down>power up>push option button, if I simply do restart it never shows the duo boot icons (with option key down).
    3) Inside of Lion, the windows icon in [I]startup disc in preferences [/I]is missing
    4) Disk Utility shows Mac Volume and a Volume titled disk0s4 (not mounted) and format is shown as MS-DOS FAT (but yet in windows 7 it shows it as a NTSF)
    Like I said W7 does work fine and I can boot back to LION using the bootcamp icon.
    -I have tried disk repair from booting off my USB Utility,  Repair is not possible on the disk0s4 (like I said it does not mount, does not show files, does show the correct partition amount of 100gb.

    Window 7 work fine but I cannot choose a startup disk from inside of Lion nor is there a Duo boot icons if I just hold option from a simple restart (again I do have that duo option choice of displayed hard drive icons, if I start from a power off only).
    1) I am guessing that the bootcamp volume disk0s4 is not really formatted as NFTS or is not recognized by LION as an NTFS volume and so it doesn't show it mounted and is not displayed in the disk startup pane; and hence will not show up even with an option button down or a simple restart of mac.
    2) Doubtful if there is a way or program that could simple covert the disk0s4 volume to NTSF?
    3) I have reinstalled twice ob Bootcamp and had the same results.
    I coulld leave the way it is and just power on my mini each tme I want windows, but this shouldn;t be like this correct?
    Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

    Hello,
    I see a couple responses/questions after my original post. Sorry, but I never knew they were there until this last question arrived.
    Currently I removed the Bootcamp partition to recover the hard drive space since I really had no use for windows.
    I kinda of forgot the resolution, until I serached posts I made at my macmini forum back then. here is the post, and the soultion was pretty simple and straighforward..
    I also include the post previous to that concerning BootChamp as a way of adding a quick boot icon to you mac menu.
    Hope this helps, let me know.

    My original two post from macmini fourm in 2012......................
    I upgraded the HD on my mac and when I was finished, decided to leave Windows 7 off it for awhile. Two weeks ago, I had a heck of time after I reinstalled to successfully boot into it from within mac. It didn't show up on preferences start up pane, nor did it show up in the Disk Uitlity sidebar........ Very very long story.....but unless you wants specifics....it boiled down to that although W7 was indeed alive and working, the bootcamp partition appeared as a strange volume called disk0s4, an unmountable FATS 32 something or other. Even though W7 was in fact an NTSF volume (that;s what it showed within W7 and thats what it showed even on a third party Easus program.
    Despite help from two apple phone techs and a genius visit....no one could correct this. Lion was loaded repeatedly from USB, self made DVD's, and partitions were expanded, shrunk, created, deleted,(my drive was formatted, reformatted, deformatted, unformatted, downformattted upformatted, and overformatted). LOL....All experts surmised that it had something to do with Recovery partition. When an Apple Tech Supervisor said "Hey now let's try first formatting the entire drive to NTSF, then format over that HFS+, then install LION fresh, set up a dummy mac account and then Bootcamp W7 and then after that works, then migrate your LION backup from time machine.........Yikes, I knew that they had no answer.
    As I said......W7 existed and worked great and booted back to LION, but W7 was not seen in DiskUtilty or anything else, hence no restart to W7 from inside Mac was possible. And that was my major issue, every time that I successfully installed W7, as the last step after trying all their nonsense.
    Too many hours lost over this and short of trying a south american shaman, I decided to take a leap and try something simple. Alas, BootChamp. I reloaded a fresh BootChamp copy, and it came through where Apple and a multitude of advice givers could not. Now I can reboot to W7 from inside of my mini. Bootchamp is TOPS !!!!    -Don
    My post concerning BootChamp and it's ability to add a quick boot and icon for windows................
    I was always frustrated by the fact that there was not a reboot icon on the Mac desktop to go to windows (like the Bootcamp icon on the W7 task bar).
    Well "Lo and Behold" check out BootChamp http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/28468/bootchamp
    Developed by Kevin Wojniak http://www.kainjow.com
    Works great, and easy to install and use. The windows icon is located at the top toolbar.
    I even wrote to Kevin and he responded back to me immediately. Make sure you download the latest version from his sitehttp://www.kainjow.com , and be sure that you uncheck Next Restart Only and leave the check by Launch At Startup, if you want the icon to appear at every restart. It kind of threw me off until I did that.
    The first time you boot to windows it will ask you for your password, then after that it does not any further.
    Makes for one less step when you want to boot to windows from your desktop.
    Bravo Kevin for developing this free tool. This should have came with Bootcamp....perhaps Apple should buy it off of him. -Don

  • MAJOR ISSUES with G4 FW800

    I have serious issues with an ebay purchase!
    The dual 1.25 mac has 2GB ram and three hard drives and an additional usb 2 pci card. When I try and star it up a whole world of hurt happens. There never seems to be a set pattern either. I get a chime then one of a number of options:
    1. Black screen with white text that zooms past and then says 'hanging here'
    2. I get the grey apple logo but then what looks like a kernel panic.
    3. A standard kernel panic.
    4. any number of other starups, from getting a desktop that then immediately panics, to all of the 'you must restart you mac' screens I have seen.
    I have tried removing the motherboard battery as per other posts, removed and reseated the ram, checked hard drives, graphics cards and pci card is connected correctly and reset pram but still no joy. Also sometimes to get it to boot at all I have to turn the power off at the wall wait a few minutes then try and boot again.
    I cannot get it to boot from a cd as I cannot get to the point that holding down the C key would force a cd boot. from some of the panics it says something along the lines of 1 cpu crashed or words to that effect.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Lee

    Lee, you may reset the PMU again after power-cycling the Mac by attempting startup. You can hae as many shots at it as necessary, as long as you attempt startup in-between. A few seconds should be more than sufficient to reset it, BTW, as long as the button is fully depressed.
    Here's how I'd approach the issue:
    Disconnect the hard drives and USB 2 card, along with any externally connected peripheral devices, leaving only the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and power cord connected. Reset the PMU, then attempt startup to the Tiger install disk. If successful, start working backwards by connecting your drives one by one, booting to the install disc and running Disk Utility on each one before connecting another. Repeat the process (*note below) until it doesn't work, or until all of your drives are connected and you can boot directly to the startup drive without a kernel panic. While you're in there messing with the drives, check to insure that they are all set to cable select.
    *note: If the install disc boots okay, just do a PRAM reset in-between drive connections and startups. A PMU reset shouldn't be necessary at that point.
    Let us know what happens, okay?

  • MAC Pro start up problems ( Maybe Snow leopard issue?)

    I can't get to start my Mac Pro,
    My mac started working slow and then I had a white screen, I went to apple Geniuis and the reinstaled Snow leopard. and then it work but with a diferent hard disc.
    But after a few days it starts to go slow, and then uploading bar shows up at starup and takes long. After a day after the wheel starts turning at start up and my macpro won't work it keeps on wheeling. I tried to reboot with the disc but it won't reboot.
    Now I put my old hard disc it works but slow. My hardrives are new and have plenty of space.
    Any idea what it could be?
    THX.

    What I always start off with:
    SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner
    Disk Warrior or another disk maintenance tool
    Then start resolving like any other issue: one at a time.
    cables, printers, devices - unplug them all and add back after the problem goes away one at a time
    SMC Reset
    Safe Boot
    Apple Hardware Test
    Why do you think 10.6?
    Does all your software and drivers meet SL?
    Clean install vs update in place
    Did you import old prefs data and files and applications?
    You have the old X1900 with its problems?
    Or you have 7300GT OEM also old, and failing.
    Or you upgraded to a new video card (but then you wouldn't be using Tiger).
    You might be runnning programs in the background or processes that are corrupt or not compatible?
