RMS, SPS, Object ID...

Hi SDN.
Please, how can I know what is the system, what is the table and what is the search criteria used in the Function BAPI_RECORD_GETELEMENTS, for retrieving data?
In the application that I am working, it is retrieving a lot of records, apparently from an external SAP system, and the main attributes used as input are:
Object ID: 460B31A4A3AC6C17E1000000C0A896B2
Document Class: SRM_REC00
and these attributes came as a result of the BAPI_RECORD_GETLIST, processed with the following input:
rms_id = 'Z_CASE_PROJECTS_CONTRACTS'
sps_id = 'ZCM_OPWS_CONTRACT'
Does anyone know how I can find out, from the information above, what is the SAP System, the Tables and search criteria used to get the data?

Unfortunately the decision report comes from deep with the engine and there is not much you can do to change it.
However, the Decision report is XML which is then modified by an XSLT for display in Siebel. You could have a look at the style sheet and the original XML and see if there is a way for displaying the XML that might be more suitable for your purpose.
The xslt is decision_report.xslt and can be found in the siebsrvr\XSLT directory.

I need to create a registry in one tabstrip of the service ros_prescreen in the vision bupa_detail.htm. The vision I can change without problems, but I cannot change the class that works with controls bupa_detail.do and with class CL_ROS_PRE_BUPA_DETAIL_C. As I can change to the event do_handle_event of this class?

Yes and No.
1. during SPs object comes only up in SPAU if object has been changed by SAP in that SP
2. During Upgrades object come always up in SPAU, because all modified objects come up in SPAU during an Upgrade.
You should always have a look at what SAP has changed, because even if you can retain your modification by simply a mouse click you should be aware if your modification still does what it should do. And sometimes SPAU says it cannot keep your modification automatically in exactly the way you did it, because SAP e.g. has completely redesigned the coding part you have modified. Then you must compare your modified version with SAP standard (in SPAU) and decide where to place your modification now.
Nevertheless: It is always recommended to know what SAP changes in objects you have changed. If you copy instead of modify you have to investigate the changes manually and in this case you must know exactly which SAP objects you have copied and changed.
By the way: In case of MVC BSPs you not only have to copy the BSP application but also all controller classes you want to change. These classes are NOT copied automatically if you copy a BSP application. The copy and adjustment of controller classes has to be done manually. After a BSP copy the BSP still points to the SAP original controller classes.

As per my understanding, I think this issue can be caused by MaxHttpCollectionKeys settings in report manager web.config file.

Crawling error: The object was not found SPS 2010 FBA

Hi,
We have a SharePoint 2010 Foundation environment. This environment contains one app two front ends and an SQL backend server. We have a web application on port 80 with hostheader http://subdomain.domain.com which is extended to port 81 (http://subdomain.domain.com:81).
We have two zones: Default and Intranet. Both has forms based authentication enabled but only Intranet has NTLM enabled.
In the alternate access mappings we have the following configured:
Internal URL Zone
Public URL for Zone
http://subdomain.domain.com:81 Default
https://subdomain.domain.com
https://subdomain.domain.com Default
https://subdomain.domain.com
http://subdomain.domain.com Intranet
http://subdomain.domain.com
The SharePoint is publishd by Checkpoint on URL: https://subdomain.domain.com and is reachable outside the company only with forms authentication. We can login to http://subdomain.domain.com inside the network with NTLM authentication. The system is working
fine.
However we installed Search Server Express 2010 on all servers and configured it. The main configuration steps were:
content access account setup
full read permission to all zones for content access account
Checked DB permission for content access account
DisableLoopbackCheck configured on all servers
content source is set to http://subdomain.domain.com (Intranet URL?) to use NTLM authentication
Tried to set crowl rule to http://subdomain.domain.com/*
When I start a full crawl I only get one Top Level Error:
The object was not found. ( Error from SharePoint site: HttpStatusCode NotFound The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. )
We also have a developer environment. This environment is a "one men show". All of the roles are on the same machine but all configurations are the same. We also installed Search Server Express 2010 on the developer SharePoint and all works properly.
I googled days and tried a lot of possible solution but nothing helped.
Does anyone have idea what do I wrong?

Loopbackcheck disabled on all servers.
We can browse site on search server.
IIS binding is correct on all SPS servers.
We have no entry on host file.
Edit: I have to correct myself! Some of the administrators (I think) set host host file. I rechecked after Inderjeet comment and this resolved this issue.
Thanks to pointing me to double check allways if I think something is correct. (Anyway this was the only thing I didn't rechecked).

RMS error - Unable to cast object of Type 'System.Byte[]' to type 'System.String'

I'm experiencing an issue when trying to connect to RMS cluster through server manager. Error is:
Active Directory Rights Management Services could not complete the task because an error occurred. This error may be caused by variable conditions.

RMS ID = problem with linked objects

Hi,
I have created new RMS ID and added some objects, notes and log to teh RMS ID,
I am able to create new Case but when I try to click on the Linked Objects i got the message that "I am not authorized to display the Case component".
Every standard RMS ID works fine.
Any solution?

For deletion I dont need to ever delete a single record in my store unless you have to do that for update? but however my record store has a delete method in which i just delete the whole record store therefore avoiding single deletes :)

Unused Objects Content Report runs forever

Dear Portal Gurus
we have a lot of content in our portal (thousands of objects created by us)
The main part is from uploading the ERP Roles into the portal.
Our guess is, that quite a bit is not used at all.
It seems that the two "Unused Objects" reports in the support platform are a good starting point for cleaning up.
When i run the Unused Objects - not assigned to Roles report on one server node, it takes forever (is running more than 24 hours)
Does anybody else have this problem too?
Is there a way to get a result anyway?
I ran the Broken Delta Links Detector before, which runs successfully - even though not very fast. So these reports run in general.
We have NW 7.0 SPS 14.

Personalization is mainly disabled in our portal.
In general the deltalinks were used correctly i think.
Of course broken delatalinks should not exist, but they get created by deleting objects not by creating deltalinks.
I'll try it with a call.

I have created a Web Dynpro App with a Adobe Form as the frontend. I have included the caf/eu/gp/api as a DC and implemented the IGPWebDynproCO interface. Next I created a Web Dynpro Callable object in GP and ran a test and received the following error:
Result: Technical Exception
Details: Could not create web dynpro callable object component
Output Parameters
Callable object implementation did not return output parameters
Can anyone help me resolve this? Do I have to make a manual entry in the HOST file? If so, what is that entry? Are there alternatives?

Hi,
For creating WD callable object you need to add following three DC in your WD DC project.
In the Web Dynpro Explorer of the Web Dynpro Perspective, expand the node DC MetaData -> DC Definition, and select Used DCs.
a.      To create a DC dependency, open the context menu and choose Add Used DC.
b.      Select Local Development -> SAP-EU -> caf/eu/gp/api/wd -> DC MetaData -> Public Parts -> GPWebDynproCO. For Dependency Type, select Build Time, Design Time, and Run Time. Choose weak from the dropdown list.
c.      Repeat the previous step to define a dependency to DCs SAP-EU-> caf/eu/gp/api (public part external) and SAP-JEE -> com.sap.security.api.sda (public part default).
You need to do one more thing like bellow.
Select your Web Dynpro project and open its context menu. Choose Properties.
1. Choose Web Dynpro References -> Library References.
2. Add a reference for library caf/eu/gp/api.

1. The client is a simple java program (not Bean).
2. It is processing lots of records (more than 6000). When we are having less no.
of records we are not getting this error. i.e. 200/600 records.

Meanwhile, the source of this error could be places
where you close allocated JDBC objects twice. AFAIR
it was fixed in the latest service packs.

I am moving our RMS to a 64-bit computer in preparation to upgrade to Operations Manager 2012. I have followed the directions found in the How to Promote a Root Management Server and it seemed successful. After reviewing the event logs, I have found repeating
21042 and 29106 events. There appears be a problem with my Secure Storage Key. I have tried creating a new key but that doesn't help. I have tried reinstalling my RMS server but I always end up at the same place. The agents are getting the 20070 error and
are unable to communicate with the server. Is there a way to rebuild the secure storage key?

Agent Event Error 20070
The OpsMgr Connector connected to RMS ServerName, but the connection was closed immediately after authentication occurred. The most likely cause of this error is that the agent is not authorized to communicate with the server, or the server
has not received configuration. Check the event log on the server for the presence of 20000 events, indicating that agents which are not approved are attempting to connect.

Dispute Case attachments: CMS, DMS, RMS, ArchiveLink... Confused!

Hi,
We're starting to implement SAP Collections & Dispute Mgmt. One of the things that excited our business users on the SAP solution was the ability to attach unlimited (word, pdf, jpg, email, etc) files directly to the Dispute case. However, we have a large volume of disputes and estimate to wish to attach an annual total of ~500,000 files, ~200Gb directly to Dispute cases.
But I'm confused as to the options we have in doing this and the potential pros/cons related to those options. From the documentation I have found, I see references to SAP DMS (Document Management System), SAP CMS (Content Management System), SAP RMS (Records Management System), SAP ArchiveLink, and also SAP integration "3rd party DMS solutions" (whatever those are...)
Is SAP CMS & SAP RMS the same thing?
Has anyone implemented a 3rd party DMS solution? If so, what were the benefits of this over the SAP solutions?
Has anyone else implemented Disputes with a large volume of attachements?

DisP.Mgt uses RMS as base so when you link objects in UDM_DISPUTE then you already using RMS. Archivelink & CMS are connected to RMS so if you create an archivelink document in UDM_DISPUTE, you would be creating an archivelink document in ARL already.CMS is in the base for managing content. This is done for all RMS objects & would already be set up. What is means is that if you store say a archivelink documetn then meta data is stored in sap DB but content sits in content server. This content server can be SAP own or 3rd-party. Same goes for RMS objects like cases, records, editable documents.

Max # of Objects in a universe

Is there a max # of objects in a cube that can be consumed by a universe (BI 4.0)? I am trying to place a universe on top of a large BW (7.3 SPS 5) cube. I am able to create the universe just fine, but when I try to refresh the structure the designer becomes non-responding.

Could you please check the connection properties of the universe connection.
In the connection pool mode if 'Disconnect after each transaction' is selected, you can try testing the issue by selecting 'Keep the connection active for ' in the connection pool mode

EWA for Business Objects (XI 3.1) within SAP Solution Manager

We use Business Objects (XI 3.1) and would like to get weekly a EWA report within our SAP Solution Manager.
Our SAP Solution Manger has only ABAP stack and it has the SPS version 25.
We also do not use Wily Introscope/Diagnostics and E2E tools within SAP Solution Manager.
Question
Is it possible to set up EWA for Business Objects with our requirements (SOLMAN with ABAP stack and without E2E/Diagnostics tools)?

So this is a requirement. There are also pdf documetns attached to this note that describe how to setup the EWA in Solution Manager. EGI_SBOP_EWA_part1.pdf and EGI_SBOP_EWA_part2.pdf.
The fact you have no Java stack and have not installed Diagnostics, just means it has not been done. It can be done and then you can do a managed system setup, and the balance of tasks required to prepare the system and Solution manager to generate EWA reports for the BOE system. Its just more work, not a show stopper.
