    go to t code PFCG
    Search for roles with SAP_FI_AP*
You could always create your own role.
In the Menu tab add the t codes you have specified.
You will then need to add the authorization objects in the authorization tabs.
For the t codes you have I guess it would take an hour max.

  • Partner roles / Table WYT3

    Hello together,
    I got a problem.
At the moment I prepare a data migration for supplier master data.
I also create the view for partner roles, database table WYT3.
    Everything works fine.
    The problem is:
I create vendor master using LSMW or XK03.
Then I check the created master data. I see everything, but no the partner roles.
Only if I change from XK03 to XK02 I can see them.
Do you know if there is a bug in ECC 6.0 or what has to be changed to see them.
    Thanks in advance

    The partner roles are customized.
If you create vendor master - the defautl customizid value will be created.
So - yes I see that partner roles which will be created, but they dont get any value from me.
And how I said before - partner role have been created, but you can only see them when you are in changing mode or when you play the folder in SM35 in visible mode...

    Peggy,
I have seen this kind of error more than a year back. May be the role name contains special character or somewhere in the role table there is a space or something. I will recommend you to open a message with SAP.

  • EJB 3.0 - Custom create method - current row in adf table

    Hello,
its funny I cannot find a good solution for such simple problem.
I'm using EJB 3.0 stateles session bean, ADF controller and ADF Faces.
I have simple page with read-only adf table containing roles and Create Role button. The button sends you to create page. This works.
I wrote my own create role method in session bean.
When I use this method instead of standard create then the new role row is no longer current in adf table. So create page displays different row not the new one.
How to make my new role row current in the adf table?
    Rado

    Thank you Frank,
yes this seems to be the only solution I can use.
In fact the role table is detail table. This is why I have my own constructor with one parameter: master entity. So the "create page" you suggested have to have access to master entity and this is why I wanted to create new role instance on fist page - there is master entity accessible.
Now I need to send master instance to create_page somehow.
What you think is the best way? Are bindings from previous page accessible directly or I have to use request/session/process scope?
Another solution would be to have method "createAnotherDetail" in master entity. But I'm afraid I will have again problem with currency.

  • Proper use of a Lookup table and adaptations for NET

    Hello,
I need to create a few lookup tables and I often see the following:
    create table Languages
Id int identity not null primary key (Id),
    Code nvarchar (4) not null,
    Description nvarchar (120) not null,
    create table Posts
Id int identity not null primary key (Id),
    LanguageId int not null,
    Title nvarchar (400) not null,
insert into Languages (Id, Code, Description)
    values (1, "en", "English");
This way I am localizing Posts with language id ...
IMHO, this is not the best scheme for Languages table because in a Lookup table the PK should be meaningful, right?
So instead I would use the following:
    create table Languages
Code nvarchar (4) not null primary key (Code),
    Description nvarchar (120) not null,
    create table Posts
Id int identity not null primary key (Id),
    LanguageCode nvarchar (4) not null,
    Title nvarchar (400) not null,
    insert into Languages (Code, Description)
    values ("en", "English");
The NET applications usually use language code so this way I can get a Post in English without using a Join.
And with this approach I am also maintaining the database data integrity ...
This could be applied to Genders table with codes "M", "F", countries table, transaction types table (should I?), ...
However I think it is common to use int as PK in lookup tables because it is easier to map to ENUMS.
And know it is even possible to map to Flag Enums so have a Many to Many relationship in an ENUM.
That helps in NET code but in fact has limitations. A Languages table could never be mapped to a FLags Enum ...
... An flags enum can't have more than 64 items (Int64) because the keys must be a power of two.
    A SOLUTION
I decided to find an approach that enforces database data integrity and still makes possible to use enums so I tried:
    create table Languages
Code nvarchar (4) not null primary key (Code),
    Key int not null,
    Description nvarchar (120) not null,
    create table Posts
Id int identity not null primary key (Id),
    LanguageCode nvarchar (4) not null,
    Title nvarchar (400) not null,
insert into Languages (Code, Key, Description)
    values ("en", 1, "English");
With this approach I have a meaningfully Language code, I avoid joins and I can create an enum by parsing the Key:
    public enum LanguageEnum {
    [Code("en")
    English = 1
I can even preserve the code in an attribute. Or I can switch the code and description ...
What about Flag enums? Well, I will have not Flag enums but I can have List<LanguageEnum> ...
And when using List<LanguageEnum> I do not have the limitation of 64 items ...
To me all this makes sense but would I apply it to a Roles table, or a ProductsCategory table?
In my opinion I would apply only to tables that will rarely change over time ... So:
Languages, Countries, Genders, ... Any other example?
About the following I am not sure (They are intrinsic to the application):
       PaymentsTypes, UserRoles
And to these I wouldn't apply (They can be managed by a CMS):
       ProductsCategories, ProductsColors
What do you think about my approach for Lookup tables?
    Thank You,
    Miguel

    >>IMHO, this is not the best scheme for Languages table because in a Lookup table the PK should be meaningful, right?<<
Not necessarily. The choice to use, or not to use, a surrogate key in a table is a preference, not a rule. There are pros and cons to either method, but I tend to agree with you. When the values are set as programming terms, I usually use a textual value
for the key. But this is nothing to get hung up over.
Bear in mind however, that this:
        create table Languages
          Id int identity not
    null primary key
    (Id),
          Code nvarchar (4)
    not null, Description nvarchar
    (120) not
    null,
    is not equivalent to
        create table Languages
          Code nvarchar (4)
    not null primary
    key (Code),
          Description nvarchar (120)
    not null,
The first table needs a UNIQUE constraint on Code to make these solutions semantically the same. The first table could have the value 'Klingon' in it 20 times while the second only once.
    >>However I think it is common to use int as PK in lookup tables because it is easier to map to ENUMS.<<
This was going to be my next point. For that case, I would only change the first table to not have an identity assigned key value, as it would be easier to manage at the same time and manner as the enum.
    >>. A Languages table could never be mapped to a FLags Enum ...<<
You could, but I would highly suggest to avoid any values encoded in a bitwise pattern in SQL as much as possible. Rule #1 (First Normal Form) is partially to have 1 value per column. It is how the optimizer thinks, and how it works best.
My rule of thumb for lookup (or I prefer the term  "domain" tables, as really all tables are there to look up values :)), is all data should be self explanatory in the database, through data if at all possible. So if you have a color column,
and it contains the color "Vermillion", and all you will ever need is the name, and you feel like it is good enough to manage in the UI, then great. But bear in mind, the beauty of a table that is there for domain purposes, is that you can then store
the R, G, and B attributes of the vermillion color (254, 73, 2 respectively, based on
http://www.colorcombos.com/colors/FE4902) and you can then use that in coding. Alternate names for the color could be introduce, etc. And if UserRoles are 1, 2, 3, and 42 (I have seen worse), then
definitely add columns. I think you are basically on the right track.
    Louis
Without good requirements, my advice is only guesses. Please don't hold it against me if my answer answers my interpretation of your questions.

  • How to view information based on selection from table

I currently have a roles table, usersinroles table, and a users table. The users table has a user ID, the roles table has a Role ID, and the usersinroles table has Role ID and user ID as foreign keys. Many users can have many roles. On one page I have the users first name and last name displayed in a read-only table. a user can be selected in which they are directed to a page to view the users details. How can I display on that page the selected user's roles he/she has? I've tried a view but it displays ALL the users and their roles.
    Thanks,
    Adam

    Hi,
create a bind variable in the users VO and then pass the authenticated username as an argument to the ExecuteWithparams operation. This queries the VO to only show the user you are interested in. The developer guide is a good source of information and inspiration

  • EBS Resposibility mapping to Roles in EM without EBS SSO

    Hello All,
I have a hard time on figuring out how to implement data level security in OBIEE 11g.
We are implementing OBIEE 11g with EBS r12 source ( NOT OOTB) . The EBS ICX based integration has NOT been used instead SSO is achieved thru Windows Native Authentication ( user logs in Windows credentials without entering username or password )
Now when it comes to authorization part the Responsibilities from EBS need to be passed to Roles in EM and Web catalog groups in presentation services.
How can we implement data level security per EBS hierarchies .?
Anyone has tried this before .? Pls help.!
    Thanks in advance,
    -SVS

    SSVS wrote:
    Thanks for the response.
Custom table with Network login ID an EBS RESP , USER ID could be populated and refreshed nightly to capture the updates. Also I was mainly wondering about data security , for eg. Consider Projects Module , there are certain restriction for certain Projects and Task information are pertinent to Project Managers and not all users with Projects Role could access this information.
Likewise for any financial module. Pls let me know.
    Thanks,
-SVSThe way we implemented security in projects module, is by creating an ETL interface that does a full load of the project security table, which holds the project managers to their projects information. So the table would look like below:
    User ID Project Number Active_Flag
    abc123 301301301 Y
    bbc123 103103103 N
There will be another table which stores the user to roles relationship like svee mentioned in his post. Roles session variable would be puling data from the user to role table, where as project_key sesison variable would pull in the data from the project security table, and therefore both data level and object level security is achieved.
    Please mark if helps.
    Thanks,
    -Amith.
