Roll back to Skype 2 from Skype 4.0?

I upgraded to Skype 4.0 lately and don't really care for the changes that have been made.
How can I roll back to previous version using pacman?

smakked wrote:Wow i thought it was good i have no issues at all, none that you have listed and find the new client more stable with better video quality.
Yeah, I've used it once since upgrading. It worked fine for me too.
bt wrote:I sympathize. The new skype does not show when contacts are online, and there is no longer notification when someone comes online. In addition the huge box that appears when you make a call takes up far too much real estate. I suppose there is a way to return to the small box. I can downgrade, but I hesitate to keep old packages current.
I have big dreams of replacing Skype with a free and open source solution that the people I chat with are actually willing to use.

  • Why doesn't Migration Assistant recognize my backup disk after rolling back to Mountain Lion from Mavericks?

I rolled back my OS from Mavericks to Mountain Lion and now the Migration Assistant isn't finding my Time Machine backups.  Any idea why this is?

One reason may be a different computer name.  Check System Preferences > Sharing and make sure your computer name has been the same through all your various OS X iterations.

  • How do you roll BACK to iTunes 11 from 12.

In a nut shell, version 12 of iTunes is a MESS. My Ipod HATES it as I can NOT delete nor add play lists and I've tried everything. 12 is a bug fest.
I had no problems what so ever with version 11 and would LOVE TO roll it back. Anyone do it with success?
If so please help the hundreds of us out in cyber space who would love to roll back too.
    Thank you.

If you really want to roll back to 11.4 uninstall all iTunes/Apple components, restore the pre-upgrade version of the library as described in Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash, then download and install from one of these direct links:

  • Roll back from yosemite to mavericks without time machine

    I am currently a user of Retina Macbook Pro late 2013, 13", i5 with 2.4 GHz, 8gb, 1600MHz DDR3.
I faced a huge problem after updating my mac from Mavericks 10.9.5 to Yosemite 10.10, this has caused my mac to running slow, but before updating it was so smooth and worked perfectly.
    - Yosemite causes my mac to be so laggy when scrolling up and down. Sometimes, it crashes all of a sudden when you are just watching a video using Safari.
    - Scrolling through PDF files is so laggy
    - Minimizing Apps is not as smooth as before.
    My Question :
    - How to roll back to mavericks/ downgrade from yosemite to mavericks? provided that i didn't not have a time machine backup. And so far i could not find any installer for mavericks in app store.

No. You need to first erase the drive then install Mavericks. Try backing up your files (Home folder) somewhere. Boot from your Mavericks drive. From it use Disk Utility to erase your Yosemite drive. Clone the Mavericks drive to the drive you just erased. Now restore your data from the backup you made.
Of course if your Mavericks drive also has a current copy of your Home folder from the Yosemite computer, then all you need to do is boot from it, erase the Yosemite drive, clone the Mavericks drive and you're done.

  • Rolled back JTA TX  marked active/inflight

Hello. I am writing a message driven bean that utilizes container managed transaction
demarcation for the onMessage method (letting the container worry about msg acknowledgement).
The MDB relays message information to a legacy system. If the legacy system is
down, I want to retry message delivery at a later point, so I mark the current
transaction as rolled back (via the setRollbackOnly() method in my MessageDrivenContext).
This causes the EJB container to continually call onMessage() with my message
beans, creating a large amount of rolled back exceptions. These rolled back transactions,
however, are marked as active/inflight by the WLS transaction manager, leading
to resource starvation and inability to create transactions because of an overflow
of the "Active Transaction" watermark (configurable in mydomain->JTA->Active Transactions),
although the JTA monitoring tools clearly indicate that the TX has been rolled
              back.
Eventually these "rolled back exceptions" are purged from the Inflight Transaction
list, and I can once again create transactions. Any ideas on how to fix this/workarounds/bugfixes?
Please cc: me if you respond as well
              Thanks,
              Alex
              ---- snippets follow ----
Here is a snippet from the mydomain->myserver->Monitoring->JTA->Inflight Transactions
              page
              Name Status Servers Resources Properties
              (key=value)
(none) Rolled back. [Reason = weblogic.transaction.internal.AppSetRollbackOnlyException]
              alexd {JMS_jmsStoreTest=rolledback} (none)
And a listing of the JTA monitoring info
              Total Transactions: 45060
              Total Committed: 131
              Total Rolled Back: 44929
              Timeout Rollbacks: 0
              Resource Rollbacks: 0
              Application Rollbacks: 44929

I know this is fixed in WLS 6.1's GA release. Basically, the problem is
that the EJB container is marking the transaction for rollback where it
should be rolling it back. That's why you have so many tx's in-flight.
              They are waiting to time-out.

  • IQ790 roll-back to XP?

Is it possible to roll-back the Windows OS from Vista to XP, and get all the drivers?
I have been given a TouchSmart IQ790 with software problems and installed Windows XP SP3 (fully updated).
It's running fine, but is not recognising the nVidia graphics card. I have visited the nVidia website, and their auto-detect tool does recognise the card either. Is there a Nvidia driver available somewhere that will work with XP?
    Cheers,
    fred

    Hi:
Sorry the graphics driver didn't work.
The product specs page states your PC has the nForce 430, NVIDIA GeForce 6100 graphics, so I was hoping that nVidia graphics driver would work.
    See if this one works...

  • Roll back to 10.7.4

Is there a quick way to Roll back to 10.7.4?
I just updated finally to 10.8.4, and most of my folders don't open? my names on folders (when open) the boxes are all blank? and im not mad keen on the Mac iMessages from 10.8 (one of the reasons I upgraded)
I'd prefer to go back to 10.7.4 (last version wasn't it?) -
My App store on the Mac (where I downloaded 10.8.4) is constantly crashing and won't open at all??
Plese help as im stuck after several reboots on a Macbook Pro i7

You've got lots of problems not related to 10.8, but to "roll back," you would restore from your backup you made prior to installing Mountain Lion. If you didn't make a backup, then "rolling" wouldn't be the term I'd use.
To try to solve your problems in 10.8, try booting into Safe Mode by holding down the shift key on restart. It will take a while to boot as it runs disk checks. You will see a progress bar while it boots, and then it will boot to the login screen where you will see Safe Boot in red.
Log in and see if it works correctly, albeit slow. If it does, then some third party software is causing the problems you see (although I don't imagine you'd see problems going from 10.7 to 10.8).

  • Roll Back to ANNA - C7-00 from USELESS Belle

Nokia should make option urgently to Roll back to ANNA
With the 'blody Belle' update, the following on C7-00 is not working
    Lotus Traveller
    Skype
    Fring
    Joikuspot
Wifi (not connecting at all, mobile data is working)
Nokia should take these seriously and fix the bugs urgently or provide option to Roll back to ANNA.
With ANNA all the above was working fine.  It is a big mistake did to update with Belle.

For those who're having problems with wifi after belle update, try disabling the power saving mode and see. If it still doesn't work, try performing a factory reset and reinstall belle. You should have no problems. Of course there are certain bugs in belle but it is still good enough and an improvement over Anna. For those who are yet to update to belle, I'd ask you to do the following. Back up your phone. Perform a factory reset with deletion of data. Once your phone's up and running, connect to Nokia suite, and click on the software updates button. If your product code's update is available, it should pop up, if not, try refreshing it. Once it shows, start the update and in about half an hour or so you should have belle in your phone. Once that is done, restore your back up that you had saved without the phone's settings and applications as this is the reason for most issues on belle. Reinstall missing applications from store. All the best.

  • Rolling back from OIM version 11g to 9.1.0.2

    Experts,
OIM version upgrade from 9.1.0.2 to 11g(11.1.1.5) need to be rolled back due to some error.
Just wanted to know views of experts.
Following steps have been completed so far of the upgrade guide [http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/upgrade.1111/e10129/upgrade_oim.htm].
•Task 1: Identify and Prepare Oracle Database for Oracle Identity Manager 11g (Optional)
•Task 2: Use the Repository Creation Utility to Create the Schema in the Database
•Task 3: Install Oracle Fusion Middleware
•Task 4: Use Upgrade Assistant to Upgrade the Oracle Identity Manager Schema
•Task 5: Create a WebLogic Domain for Oracle Identity Manager
•Task 6: Start the WebLogic Administration Server
•Task 7: Configure Oracle Identity Manager Server 11g
•Task 8: Configure Node Manager to Start Managed Servers
•Task 9: Start the SOA Managed Server
•Task 10: Start the Oracle Identity Manager Managed Server
•Task 11: Stop the Oracle Identity Manager Managed Server
    Rollback strategy:-
    1. Delete extra schemas(SOA MDC etc) created during Task2
    2. Restoring the OIM DB schema (of version 9.1.0.2) from backup.
    3. Updating back path and variables environment with old values
    4. Starting the weblogic and OIM application from old Middleware_home and OIM_HOME.
    Experts,
Above rollback strategy would be enough or should i take some other point in consideration.
If you can think of any other thing please share..
    Thanks,
    Manohar

Yes your strategies seems fine. for dropping schema you can RCU as well.
for restore, Drop all the entities manually from oim db schema So you don't have any grant issue while importing old 10g dump

  • Roll back to itunes 10.7 from itunes 11

Recently my iMac updated to iTunes 11 automatically as part of its update process. I find that I hate this new version of iTunes and so I tried to roll back to the previous version (10.7 in my case). I figured out how to uninstall / delete iTunes 11, I downloaded the previous version from apple.com and ran the installer. I restored my previous iTunes Library file and openned iTunes. All my playlists, play counts, etc are there appropriately and everything looks good at first glance. However, my iPod and iPad can no longer sync and iTunes is telling me to restore them both to factory settings which I'd rather not do. I also can no longer connect to my iTunes library via my local area network from my Windows based machines (haven't been able to try from another Mac, yet). Any ideas on what I did wrong and more importantly how to fix these annoying problems? Thanks!

Thanks. This may work for the iPod and iPad although I'm not terribly interested in reorganizing all the apps and data on both devices unless absolutely necessary. Also, this does not address the problem of not being able to access the library over the LAN from other computers running iTunes.

That is definitely odd, grantcool. Let's help restore this important data transfer feature. To confirm, when you connect the USB cable to your phone and computer > Pull down the Notification Bar > Select USB Connected > Can you choose Media Sync (MTP) ?

  • HT202157 Does anyone else have a problem with the latest Apple TV update?  My Apple TV no longer can load movies from my iTunes library, including ones I've already watched or were watching.  Can I roll back this update, and if so, how?

After updating my Apple TV, it will no longer load movies from my iTunes library.  Music works, but no movies.  I've turned this puppy every which way but loose, but no joy.  Is there a way to roll back an update?

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • Can I roll back from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8?

I have a surface Pro that I use for testing. I installed the 8.1 update. Unfortunately I wasn't paying full attention when it came to the point of asking if I wanted to save my personal files or nothing. I didn't notice that there wasn't a choice to save"everything
    (programs)."
There's still the folder Windows.old on the C: drive and I can see all of my Program files there. My original docs are fine. I can't seem to figure out how to roll back to the original Windows 8. I tried running the 8.1 installer and system restore
    but no joy.
Any suggestions on how to get back to Windows 8 or to bring my programs back? It's not the end of the world but just a PIA to have to reinstall all of my apps on the Surface. Thanks.

    Hi,
Please be aware that programs should be reinstalled from their installers. It will install the necessary runtime files to run properly on your operating system.
We can retrieve files from Windows.old folder:
How to retrieve files from the Windows.old folder
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-files-upgrade-windows-old
If you would like to get back to Windows 8, we cannot uninstall or restore directly.
For preinstalled Windows 8, you can try to restore factory settings to get it back.
    Hope these could be helpful.
