Rolling up data into a single report, CRMOD just cannot do it?

So far as I've learnt, CRMOD is unable to do reports such as this and I'm hoping someone will correct me as I find it to be quite a crippling deficiency in terms of flexibility in delivery reports that clients want.
Take this example of an ERD:

Portfolio would be a Custom Object 1, Account Allocation and Financial Info would be Custom Object 4 and 5 let's say.
Portfolio to Account Allocation is a many-to-many relationship, hence the intermediate Account Allocation object which also has fields of its own.
As far as I know, I will not be able to report on, an aggregate of all the financial info (e.g. SUM of a currency field in Financial Info) of all the accounts associated to a portfolio. Because of the way CRMOD reports tries to make a link between ALL objects in a single report, putting all 4 together won't work since Financial Info is not in any way linked directly to Portfolio or Account Allocation.
I know I can link Portfolio to Account Allocation and Account (with the metric from Account Allocation), but then I cannot bring in Financial Info at the same time.

I am aware of the Portfolio object in the GWM vertical, I was just using it as an example entity to show how the relationships are. :)
I've used Combined Analysis many times before, but it will not help for a situation like this.
But yeah, just seeing if any new workarounds to this have come up recently. Personally I find this to be one of the biggest deficiencies with the CRMOD reporting engine.
It would be great if they would just provide an option to write Oracle PL/SQL code to pull data out from tables ourselves sometimes, then we can specify our own INNER/OUTER joins haha. :D

Charge it up fully. Toggle the hold switch. Try getting into diagnostics mode again. See Corrupt iPod classic.

How to display results set of multiple reports into a single report table

Our goal is to create a single report (or dashboard) that shows the "funnel" of object creations related to each campaign. The flow goes from Activity to Lead to Opportunity as well as multiple steps within each (ie. Unqualified Lead -> Qualified Lead, etc).
We currently have 3 separate reports in three different subject areas, each reporting the different metrics and we would like to combine the output into a single Unified report.
For example what we currently have is:
Activities:
Campaign Name # of Activities
Campaign A 12
Campaign B 26
Leads:
Campaign Name # of Leads # of Qualified Leads
Campaign A 10 4
Campaign B 20 18
Opportunities:
Campaign Name # of Opportunities # of Opps per Sales Stage ... # of Wins Closed Revenue
Campaign A 3 2 1 $1,000.00
Campaign B 10 8 3 $2,800.00
What we want to see is:
Combined:
Campaign Name - Campaign Cost - # of Activities - # of Leads - # of Qualified Leads - # of Opportunities - # of Opps per Sales Stage - # of Wins - Closed Revenue
Campaign A - $423.00 - 12 - 10 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - $1,000.00
Campaign B - $ 1,000.00 - 26 - 20 - 18 - 10 - 8 - 3 - $2,800.00
We have tried using the "Combine with similar analysis" but the number of columns for each subject area differ. We also tried creating multiple UNION criteria (one for each column), but in the case of # of Opps per Sales Stage and Closed Revenue, those are not "Metrics" fields, so they won't combine.

Hi, You may have to create some dummy fields to equate the no. of field in each of the report matching the data type too and get a one single report using combined analytics and then using the resultant data you can create a simple pivot like below. Haven't tried it before

Based on my requirements ,i have retrived a set of data from a XXX.jsp page using a request.getParameter() and stored into single dimenssional array . Now i am paassing that array to JAVA class to store a into some table .
In JSP page users can add text boxes dynamically based on his intrest then those attributes will store in table .it means table attributes are not conatant , it table attributes may change at any time when user adds any textboxs or any fields on JSP page ....thats my module ..

Well ..you code can be works for constant number of attributes in table .oopss here my requirement is table attributes not fixed ,we cant put constant number of place holder(? ) in a statement ,because those are not fixed ,

i am doing in that way only. As i mentioned you Table attributes are not constant .It may very if users add any fields dynamically on JSP page .If users have option to add any text box on Jsp page ,then that attribute will store in table as a attribute .

I have a report with "Forms Letter"style. I want to create 2 buttons say "APPROVE" and "CHANGE". When clicked on "APPROVE" button I want to insert some data into the table. And When Clicked on "CHANGE" button, I want to call one form. I am using oracle10g.
Oracle 10g doesn't support button. Then what is the solution for my problem.

as you correctly stated, reports does not provide buttons but you could use hyperlinks. openign a form, however, will be tricky. everything nees to be URL based.

Merge 3 Unlinked Reports into a single Report

I have 3 Crystal Reports with different structures and groupings, I want to view it in single report .Right now I'm using Embedded Crystal Report hence I'm unable to merge it through the code .I require a solution to this.

Open Crystal Reports designer
File--New--Blank Report
Now you will see only design of blank report
Right click on all sections and select 'Suppress' except Report Footer.
Right click on Report Footer and click on New Section to create one more Report Footer, create one more new report footer
Now go in Insert menu --Click on Sub report-- selection option to Browse to select existing report--locate first report and select it and place it in Report Footer 1
Repeat the above for 2nd 3rd sub reports. Place them in Report Footer 2 and 3 .
Now refresh the blank report to see all reports information at one place.

I am trying to process multiple rows of text from an Oracle database into one field to display on a report as continuous text. Below is sample data. The text field is 55 characters wide so anything longer is broken into multiple rows. I need to recombine it for display.

I tried creating a formula field but it did not work, below is the code in Visual Basic syntax. I also tried using the Maximum() and UBound() functions without luck. I don't quite understand how to make the UBound() work; it threw a lot of errors.

Create a formula called @StoreText, place it in the details and have the following code in it:
WhilePrintingRecords;
Global StringVar Text1;
Global StringVar TextRest;
if {field.line} = 1 then
Text1:= {field.text} else
if {field.line} >= 2 then
TextRest := TextRest+" "+{field.text};
In the Group Footer you can have a formula called @GetStoreText with the following code in it:
WhilePrintingRecords;
Global StringVar Text1;
Global StringVar TextRest;
Text1+varTextRest;

I extracted my IIS sites using appcmd
appcmd /site /config /xml > c:\temp\iisconfig.xml
afterwhich I would like to grab the data from this xml and export into excel file

I would like to get the Site Name, Bindings, Physical Directory Path and AppPool from this xml file and output to a excel file

Retrieving Freezed and Unfreezed data from a Single Report

Dear All,
I have a requirement where we have 2 types of users.
1. End User and 2. Super User 3. Intermediate Users
We have source system data which will be retieved on a daily basis.
Here Super user freeze the data ramdomly.
We need a report to be generated which with show
1.Freezed data to Super user
2. Unfreezed data to End User and
3. Intermediate User who needs both freezed and unfreezed data.
Can someone suggest the most optimal way to execute this requirement.

you could use the scheduling function of BOE for this.
For the Super Users: The Report will be scheduled after the data has been frezzed
For the End Users: They can run the Report On- Demand on any Time
For Intermediate Users: They can do both. View the Instance of the Scheduled Report and run the Report On- Demand
This could be handled by Permissions in BOE.

Multi-date range within single report

I'm hoping you all find this a very basic question. I have two columns of data which I want to review for 2 different time periods on the same report. In this case I am looking at individuals scores in two performance metrics for the prior 6 weeks and then for the current week. I would like to have the 4 culumns total displayed side by side for each individual. I hope I am making sense. Can anyone give me some guidance on this?
