Rollover buttons are turning into Xs!!!

I created a template in dreamweaver 8, I designed the site in
photoshop and then sliced it in image ready, I did rollover
navigation buttons in image ready, simply giving them glow when you
move over them. I then defined the site in dreamweaver and it
worked fine until in previews in ie until I saved it, it said
"update links? If I click yes, then when I test it in ie it turns
the buttons into red x's every time I move the mouse over them and
they are supposed to rollover. If I click no, all the pictures come
up as those little broken pages. I was saving it as an html. I'm
sure there is a sloution to this, or at least hope so, any help
would be great appreciated.

Are you testing locally or after uploading it to the server?
If the latter,
post a URI, please. I suspect you have not uploaded the
rollover images.

Since ios 8, imessages on my iphone are turning into texts. and the recipients are using apple devices. Their reply messages come back in a new message, without the history. and often their address is an icloud one and not their phone number (which is where I sent it). Why?

As in the link when you send an iMessage your text bubble is blue. If it's sent SMS your text message is green. Both parties will receive the message or reply in a grey bubble. When you contact them ask them what colour their sent text messages bubble are.
As for group messages check your settings. MMS must be turned on; Settings > Messages. Send as SMS must also be turned on.

My update buttons all turn into open buttons

I had this happen on my iPad and it took a software update to fix.
I open the app store (currently with a badge of 24 apps). I go to updates. All of the apps that need updated have an update button next to them, however, those buttons turn into "open" buttons in about half a second. Tapping them simply opens the apps.
I've updated to the latest software and still no luck, it's misbehaving. This is not cool. Any help appreciated.

Hi Dan,
If you are having issues with your App Store update buttons changing to Open buttons, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

Hello,
I write for a website to do with telephony, and everytime I use an example phone number, Skype Click-to-Call turns this into a mess. What I need to know is how to turn off this for users browsing my site. Is there a tag or mark up that I can use to force skype to ignore the number? It is ruining my site's documentation. The only solution that I could think of is to use an image, which would be far from optimal.

I dug around google for a little while unfortunately to no avail. The site with a range of other solutions on it is all HTML or CSS based. The only one that isn't really html is putting multiple delimiters in, however that depends if you want to go and double hyphen/space everything and make it look wierd.
You're right, it is annoying! I did find this site from 2009 if you can edit the code in the header, slightly more simple, however whether that still works in 2015 is anyone's guess, knowing Microsoft they've probably patched CtC so it still works.

Shadows created in iWeb are turned into bulky boxes – a recent flaw not experienced before. (Clearing cache didn't help)

When I first tried Firefox instead of Safari, shadows around non-rectangular objects no longer followed the contour, but shadows around rectangular objects looked fine (same as in Safari.)
Now, for no apparent reason, shadows have become big grey rectangles, making the site look amateur and childish, though it still looks fine in Safari.

That is unfortunately a bug (Bug 662898) that slipped into Firefox 5 and that will be fixed in Firefox 6, due to be released in August.

[SOLVED] Buttons are missing in the titlebar with gtk-window-decorator

Hi, everyone.
Recently, I'd tried compiz as WM with gnome 3 in fallback mode. All work quiet good, but there is one thing, that slightly discourages me. I use gtk-window-decorator for frames and titlebar and the results are strange. Title bar is drawn with squared left and rounded right corners. Moreover, no buttons are shown on it. "Menu" and "Minimize" buttons are here, but invisible (they are working and corresponding tooltips are shown when I hover mouse over their position); "Maximize" and "Close" buttons are absent. All this buttons are turned on in metacity properties.
When I turn off metacity theme support for gtk-window-decorator, all buttons are here, but decorator in this mode is quiet dumb...
So, have you any suggestions on how to get those buttons back?

I'm having this problem under Ubuntu, but not with my Compiz (also 0.9.4) setup with GNOME 3 on Arch. I switched to Emerald on my Ubuntu install as a temporary workaround.
Thinking about it, I think I still had the gnome-desktop2 package installed when I built compiz-core, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Optional GNOME support is omitted in compiz-core if you upgraded to GNOME 3, because gnome-window-settings-2.0 (from the GNOME 2 gnome-control-center package I think) and gnome-desktop-2.0 are absent.

How to make edges of rollover button straight

I was using rollover pjc in my forms....
I am setting these properties of the buttons...
--> setting the 'label' property to [ROLLOVER]add
--> setting 'implementation class' property to
'oracle.forms.demos.enhancedItems.RolloverButton'
My rollover buttons are dislayed with rounded edges....
I want to make the edges of my rollover buttons
straight(like sqaure edges). please let me know how do i do that.

Judging by the source code of RolloverButton.java, it looks like that demo will always use rounded buttons.
If you want normal shaped buttons, then you should modify RolloverButton.java or create your own Java class based on it and change it. The change should be to not use setLeftmost(true) and setRightmost(true). By setting them to true you are telling the button to treat the button as if it's the leftmost or rightmost button, which will round that end (or both).

ID CS3 : the 101 buttons bug - PDF file turning into a form

Hi there,
I'm just mentionning this issue with a clear title (I had mentioned it in another thread but with a wrong topic name, since I hadn't found out the bug).
When working in inDesign CS3, there's a slight but annoying issue with interactive PDF buttons. As soon as your file reaches 101 buttons, the PDF document exported is considered as a form instead of a standard document (no matter if the buttons are present on the master pages, on the same pages or through the document).
I've managed to find a workaround myself, and I found another one on these forums, but no real solution. Here they are:
Workaround #1 (http://http://forums.adobe.com/message/2177707#2177707) :
Instead of creating my controls in the master page (which caused the file to have more than 100 buttons), I created them (only once) in the first page they appeared in. Then, in Acrobat Pro, I just selected them and used the "duplicate" command.
There are two benefits when using this solution:
your PDF document won't turn into a form (which can be a real problem if you don't want to confuse the document users).
your PDF file will be lighter. Indeed, when creating a button in inDesign (even if you create it on the master page) the exported PDF document won't contain X occurences of the same button, but X different buttons (which can incread the size of your document dramaticaly when it reaches a large amount of pages).
Yet, if your document reaches 101 buttons on the solemn content, the bug will trigger anyway.
Workaround #2 (http://http://forums.adobe.com/message/1322652#1322652) :
After having exported your PDF file, lock it against editing (through the password protection system). Your document will still be considered as a form, but the annoying purple box won't pop any longer when you open the file.
This solution is quite simpler, but it still is a workaround to the issue, not a solution.
Well, I hope those workarounds will help someone, but if someone had a *real* solution to it, that would be great.

Try to reset it by holding the power an home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. If it won't reset, you'll probably have to force it into recovery mode and restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

It sounds like what you are trying to do is edit the choices in a likert field to something other than the default radio button. This is not something that you can do in Formscentral at this time.

Why are my dock applications turning into question marks after restarting my macbook pro?

So i have had my new MBP with retina display for a few weeks now, and everytime I shutdown or restart the computer, I have a bunch of question marks in my dock instead of my application icons. The question marks still show the name of the application under them, and after I click them they turn back into the proper icon. I noticed that they are only applications I have installed myself off the internet. It never happens to the applcations that came with my macbook, or apps from the mac app store. I have not moved the location of the applications i installed, so i dont know why the computer is having trouble displaying the icons. I am new to the mac operating system and am wondering if I may not have installed these applications properly. The apps that are constatly turning into question marks include Bittorent, VLC Player, PS3 Media Server, Air VIdeo Server, and the Dolphin gamecube emulator. I have looked all over the internet but i cannot find a solution. Please Help!

When they go grey, it means that they have lost the location of the application that they represent.
If you put your mouse over each one, it will tell you what application it is that it has lost.
Go to wherever you have that application stored, usually the applications folder, and drag the icon of the application down into the dock. A new icon is created for you.
Repeat with the other two grey icons in the dock.
To remove the grey icons, left click and hold while you drag the icon out of the dock and onto the desktop. Release the mouse button and the icon will disappear in a puff of smoke.
