Rotate front page control programmatically in front of background

In the background is a picture.
On this picture,I'd like to rotate a control formed like a box without having a shadow on the background.

Here is some code to rotate a box drawn in a picture control.

  • How many ways can I update a control programmatically???

    1. local (or global) variables
    2. property nodes.
    3.
I'd like to know if there are more possibilities especially when a control is used. we can always right a value into an indicator when an indicator is used.

Ok, so the CLD could be a moving target. I posted these question in an email and now awaiting an answer.
What are the criteria used to grade the CLD exam? What are the specific finding and recommendations used when determining a grade?
In two instances of taking the CLD the graders comments are shown below.
After a comparison of the two cases, here are my comments. “Property nodes and local variable are not to be used”. I’ve posted a question asking what other ways are there to programmatically update a control. “Unnecessary bends in wires are not to be used”. What criteria determine when a wire bend is unnecessary? Should all wires not have bends thus bends in wires are not allowed? “Errors not handled….error terminal on property node not wired”.  As I read the exam requirements, I did not come across a case to handle an error in any step. Simply connecting an error terminal and providing a case doesn’t handle errors. I’m almost certain my code in Case2 does not generate programmatic errors. “NOT gate used rather than inverted input where available”. Are you saying NOT gates are not be used, is there some advantage? Maybe I was able reuse duplicate code in Case2 and in one of the cases the NOT gate was appropriate since is read well on a block diagram and the change was effortless.
    Case1:
Style: Overly complex solution. Property Nodes used to update values. Unnecessary bends in wires. Error terminals on property nodes unwired. Errors not handled.
Functionality: Application not fully implemented. Logic of implementation is not correct. Boolean latch action is not implemented where necessary.
    Documentation:
    Case2:
Style: VI is not modular – repeated code is not placed in SubVIs. Use of local or global variables. Unnecessary bends in wires. NOT gate used rather then inverted input where available. Errors not handled.
Functionality: Application does not function as specified.
I have no idea what NI is looking for as far as “Style”. Lets define this and have a point system in place for determining “Style”. What “Style” allocates 15 points in the CLD exam?

  • Why has the "Reload current page" control been moved to the navigation bar Firefox 29? I would like to be able to place it where I had it in Firefox 28.

After getting the Firefox 29 download I tried to rearrange my buttons\controls to where I was used to having them in Firefox 28 and prior. I noticed, in particular, that the "Reload current page" control is no longer available to be set in front of the navigation bar where I've had it for years now. The reason I chose Firefox in the first place was because I could customize it to my liking. I know you can simply right click and "Reload" the tab or just get used to going to the end (right side) of the navigation bar but that defeats the purpose completely for me.
Here's an analogy; Ford decides they will now replace current model cars in the US with British standard style vehicles. Every car sold by Ford will now be right-hand steer. While this may seem like a "no biggy" to some, others, especially those of us who are inclined to drive standard transmission vehicles, may be a bit resistant to that change. Not sure if I successfully made my point or not but hopefully I did.
Initially I thought I'd start by "Has someone fallen and hit their head?' or "Did Steve Ballmer suddenly take over Mozilla, in particular the build of Firefox 29, because this one smells like a Windows 8 (aka the aroma of a full sewer tank on a hot day)?" It is understood that updates are required and as an IT guy, I've been around for many a faux pas where the kinks just need to be worked out. They happen. Maybe some consideration will be made with Firefox 30 to those of us in the states that are used to left-hand steer vehicles.
I may be missing something here, and will gladly fall on my sword if that is the case, but there is no indication that I've seen from the Mozilla sight that the "Reload current page" control can be manipulated in any way as of Firefox 29. On the bright side, I now have a good reason to go back and review some of the browsers I discounted back in the day when I decided to go with Firefox.

As far as I know, [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ the Classic Theme Restorer add-on] is the only way move the Reload button outside the address bar.
    # Install [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ Classic Theme Restorer] and restart Firefox when prompted.
    # Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A; Mac: Command+Shift+A), then the Extensions category.
    # Next to Classic Theme Restorer, click the Options button.
    # On the Main tab, make sure "Movable back-forward button" and "Hide urlbars stop & reload buttons" are checked. You might also want to check "Combine stop & reload buttons". Close the options window when done.
    # Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize.
    # Drag the Back/Forward, Stop and Reload buttons onto the navigation toolbar.
    # Click the Exit Customize button in the lower right corner when done.
That being said, I should point out that you can reload pages in other ways.
    * Right-click any tab and choose Reload.
    * Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Reload.
    * Press F5.
    * Press Ctrl+R (Mac: Command+R).

  • OBIEE view modifying  positionionting in workspace & modifying page control

Where do we configure obiee views positioning and page control location aspects in obiee 10g? Please suggest..

    Hi hillchri,
Something you can do to view the list of custom controls is open up the VI Hierarchy (View > View Hierarchy). This window will display a list of Type Defs referenced by your VI (I don't think custom controls will show up...). Other than this, I'm not sure if there is a way to get a list of references custom controls for a VI outside of the project environment.
There's not a way to dynamically explicitly specify the path of a control to load on the front panel (other than doing it manually). The only work-around to this is to use Labview Scripting, which allows you to dynamically drop objects on the front panel and/or block diagram.
In your case, it does not seem like you will need to do this, though I am still a bit unclear on what you're trying to do. When you move the VI and custom controls in an LLB, everything should open up with no problems. Is your goal to dynamically determine which control will be loaded on the front panel of the VI? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding something...

  • How can I rotate the page of a document by a specific angle

    Hi,
I want to know how I can rotate the page by a specific angle, (eg: like 10 degrees).
I tried PDPageSetRotate but it can change only in the multiple of 90, due to PDRotate.

You can have the image optimization and OCR operations performed programmatically.  Look at at the AVCommand APIs and associated sample code.
Deskew is an image processing operation that simply requires the bits.  You can do that by simply getting the image bits and applying the algorithm(s).

How do I save a PDF as an excel file when the PDF is horizontal. Adobe tries to rotate the page, but the data is entered in an  horizontal format.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I figured out how to get the desired results by using tagging.  For anyone who may reference this post in the future, I went to "Customize" in the top right corner of Adobe, then selected "Create new tool set...", looked under "accessiblity and found the "tag" option.  Hit ok, tag is added to the toolbar.  Then I highlighted the dataset in the PDF that was relevant to the output format, then clicked "tag", saved as spreadsheet.  Sorry I can't provide more details on how tagging works or if there's a more elegant solution available, but I'm sure one's out there.

  • PDF interactivity : page control issue (pdf file considered as a form)

    Hello there,
I've got a slight but quite annoying issue when exporting a PDF from my InDesign CS3 file. Let me explain.
The file is some sort of glossary with interactive content (such as a table of content, images with over effects and text with tooltips) and two buttons on the master page which allow the user to browse the document forward or backwards (basic next/previous page controls). Those two buttons work as expected, but their presence causes something strange when exporting the document.
What happens is that the exported PDF document is considered as a form when those buttons are present.
I'd like to keep those controls, but without having Acrobat Reader reminding me that I'm browsing through a form that I won't be able to save (bla bla bla). Which means that I just would like the file to behave as a standard document instead of a form document.
If any of you ever experienced that issue, I'd like to know how you solved it.
    Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the answer, but I found out the cause of the issue.
    What happens is quite weird.
Using inDesign, once your file exceeds 100 buttons it exports itself as a PDF form instead of a standard PDF document. No straight solution seems to exist, but I found a way to bypass this problem.
Instead of creating my controls in the master page, I created them (only once) in the first page they appear in. Then, in Acrobat Pro, I just selected them and used the "duplicate" command.
There are two benefits when using this solution:
your PDF document won't turn into a form (which can be a real problem if you don't want to confuse the document users)
your PDF file will be lighter. Indeed, when creating a button in inDesign (even if you create it on the master page) the exported PDF document won't contain X occurences of the same button, but X different buttons (which can incread the size of your document dramaticaly when it reaches a large amount of pages).
It took me hours to find out a solution to this problem, I hope it will help someone else than me.

  • Rotating a page in Adobe Reader X

In Adobe Reader X how do you rotate a page to save that view?

You can't. You need Acrobat to do it.

  • Cant rotate a page in acrobat x

    Hi,
In a 10 page document for example, 1 page happens to be oriented the wrong way. I want to rotate it. I highlight the page and using panel on the right hand side click rotate then select page or pages and then ok. But it does not rotate the page at all. I also notice that if I open a document and try rotate it using the menu at the top of the screen, it does rotate the full document but when I save the change and open the document again later it's back to it original way. That's 2 questions - I'm new to this forum thing so if I'm only allowed one question then the first one is more important. Thank you

    Hi Brian ,
I would request you to please check the page direction and page orientation .
Give a try with other options and compare the results.
You may also check with some other PDF and check .
Let us know if the issue still persists.

  • Adobe Digital Editions 2.0: No rotation of pages??

Hi, I bought e-course packs in order to save money and have come to find that most of the articles in the coursepack are presented in a landscape fashion. Does anyone know if I can rotate the pages?? If not why wasn't this information made available to instructors before I wasted my time and money?

  • Can I rotate mark ups created with Adobe X on the background page of a PDF document?

Can I rotate mark ups created with Adobe X on the background page of a PDF document?

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I tried both ways and neither works.  It gives me a prompt box that I have to click "next" for every page but after going thru all pages, nothing is sent to the printer.
Also, all directions I've read indicate it will print to the default printer.  If my default printer is on a network, will that cause problems....
    and...
should I be getting a prompt box on every page?  I thought all this would happen behind the scenes and not force me to interact with every page.

I clicked the 'Rotate view' submenu in the 'View' menu. Nothing happens, the page remains as such.

You cannot rotate pages permanently using just the free Reader.

  • Rotate a page in a pdf doc

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 standard installed. I am trying to rotate 1 page out of a 50 page pdf document.
Documents -> Rotate Page feature is grayed out. And so is Pages -> Rotate Page.
Is this feature not available in AA 9 standard? Is there another way to rotate just one page and not the entire document?

Thanks for the help. I upgraded to AA 9 Pro and it resolved my problem.
