Routing Forms

Struggling with PDF forms and Livecycle Designer/Technologies...
I am looking into replacing some of our Word doc forms with PDF forms. Easy enough creating simple PDF forms from the .docs.
But from there we'd like to investigate options for going paperless. So the idea is we have our PDF forms stored off on our network shares, just like always. Person opens a form in Reader, fills it out then Submits it. In some cases, the submitted form would need to be routed to another individual for approval, then submitted again to a final destination (person)...in other cases the form needs no approval and simply goes straight to a final destination....all-in-all a common practice.
Now, after the initial person fills a form in Reader, as I understand it, it can be submitted as XDP, XML, PDF or HTML URL. I've done some preliminary testing with our web server and getting stuck here.
If I submit to the web server as URL-encoded...a form with just 1 Text field, I get only the first character of both the parameter name and the value. For example, I have a TextField called "Username", say I fill it out with the value "Joe", and submit. What gets passed as the URL query string is
U=J
That's my first hurdle. I've looked at the TextFields properties and the Submit button properties and don't see anything that could be doing this. The web server iteself has never "chopped" things off like this either (though this is my first foray into PDF submits). Just FYI We are using an Oracle database and app server and PL/SQL procedures receiving the HTTP POST.
Conceptually I'm not even sure if a URL-encoded submit is the way to go, but I figured I'd start out simple, and with our simplest forms they would be submitted and maybe just a email notice sent, or insert into a database table, so a simple URL POST should suffice to initiate this kind of action. The more complicated forms that get routed to other users, and need to be re-rendered as a PDF, perhaps with the previous persons entries now being static, this is where some of our forms would evolve to. If I choose XDP or XML or PDF submit then the http server chokes...I think perhaps it needs some Livecycle server to received this post(???)
This is the point I am really lost. I don't understand the Livecycle technologies, what does what and what would even be needed and whether they are free or not. Could someone explain this to me, in laymans terms, what the technologies are and would be required here?...or maybe point me to some documents that would help me understand...

The second option that Steve Walker mentioned does what you are asking for.

  • AEBS "Ghost" Router Issue - The Challenge for 2012 (and it's only January)

Yes, it's a bold statement to claim that I have the biggest issue so far for 2012. Why may you ask? Because I've stumped RCN (ISP), Access Media 3 (ISP), Apple Tech Support, and Cisco Tech Support. Here's the challenge for you to see if you can figure it out:
***Also, sorry for the long-winded post. I've spend over 20 hours on this issue and racked up a lot of info to share with you. So please bear with me***
I used to own a Linksys E4200 router (early 2011), which I set up using the wireless network name (for example) "wifi-box". Due to performance issues, I returned the router back to Linksys in April 2011. Shortly thereafter, I purchased a used AESB. I performed a factory reset (not a hard reset, as I know the difference between the two) before setting up my network. Things worked great from April to Dec. 2011.
On Jan. 1st, 2012, the building that I live in switched ISPs. I used to have RCN, and now have Access Media 3 (AM3). Both provide the same type of connection - cable - and both provided me with a modem (not sure the model of the one that RCN provided to me, but AM3 gave me a Surfboard 5101N...shudder). Once the transition from RCN to AM3 took place, I performed another factory reset on the AESB before setting up my my network from scratch.
Now, here's where things get start to get weird. I "Created a wireless network" on my AESB, entered in the name "wifi-box" (to keep it the same as before) as the wireless network name, and followed the rest of the steps until I updated the router. Shortly after the AESB restarted, I received a "Dual (or double) NAT" error right off the bat. Looking into the issue futher, there were now 2 wireless network names called "wifi-box"?!? Huh?!? The actual name isn't "wifi-box", but was something quite unique. So it was easy to tell that it was (once) my wireless name.
The next 5 hours were a blur of reconfiguing, resetting, unplugging, etc. anything that is connected to my network. Nothing worked. During all of this, I also switched the name of the AESB to (for example) "apple-wifi".
As a last resort, I unplugged everything - the Surfboard, the AESB, wiped all Airport Util profiles off my 2 Macs, wiped my profile off my 1 PC, shut them down, did the same for my iPhone 3G, shut off the power strip that the modem and AESB were connected to, and unscrewed the coax cable from the wall. I had a friend come over with his laptop, which he never brought over before, and had him search for a wifi signal. As you would guess, "apple-wifi" didn't appear...BUT "WIFI-BOX" WAS AVAILABLE TO CONNECT TO!!! Arrrgggg!!
At this point it seems that the profile is somewhere outside of my condo. But where???
Moving along, I used a tool called WiFi Stumbler to see if that could help shed some light on my issue. What I found was unheard of. The wirless name "wifi-box" was linked to a Linksys router.  Once I discovered this, I logged into my Linksys profile (192.168.1.1) to see if it still worked. IT DID!!! However, that was short lived, because as soon as I clicked on a tab, I was booted out. On top of that, I couldn't log back in. Not sure if this is because it was looking for the Linksys router or not. Whatever the reason...it's just flat out weird.
Because the password to log into my old Linksys profile was the same, it somewhat leads me to believe that someone doesn't have the same wireless name that I do.
Over the past two days, I talked to RCN, Linksys, Apple Tech, AM3, had an AM3 tech out to look at it...no one knew what the issue was. When I talked to Apple, and they thought it might be the Surfboard. The tech said that the Surfboard is also a router, which is why the "dual NAT" error is taking place. However, I then spoke to AM3 and they told me the Surfboard was only a modem. I looked it up online, and it's just modem. Also, I was able to get rid of the "dual NAT" error, but yet I still cannot connect.
My current error msg is: "Airport has the self-assigned IP address 169.XXX.XXX.XXX and will not be able to connect to the Internet". The AirPort indicator light in my Network Preferences is orange, but the AESB indicator light is green (and is reporting no issues).
To end this, (if you're still reading), any help that you may have is greatly appreciated. Everyone I spoke to is stumped. I'm not sure where to go next from here. If you know anything, please let my know . As a quick recap, here are my current settings:
    Devices:
         1) MacBook Pro (2011), OSX Lion;
         2) MacBook (2009), OSX Snow Leopard;
         3) IBM Lenovo PC, Win XP SP2
         4) iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2)
    Modem:
         Former modem: unknown
         Current router: Surfboard SB5101N
    Router:
Former router: Linksys E4200 (wireless network name "wifi-box")
Current router: AESB - Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station - Simultaneous Dual-Band MC340LL/A (wireless network name "apple-wifi")
         # of Router in my condo: 1
    ISP:
         Former ISP: RCN
         Current ISP: Access Media 3
Thanks and good luck (to you and me)

    Thanks Tessarax,
Thanks for the reply, and no worries about the long form answer. Yesterday, I went through your process twice (for good measure). I also unplugged/shut down everything overnight and tried it once again today. Unfortunately, the results are the same.
Me network is currently up and running, albeit a limited connection. It's still producing the "Double NAT" error. My Internet is set up as follows:
These are the settings for "apple-wifi" in the AirPort Util.:
    Connect Using: Ethernet
    Ethernet WAN: Automatic
Connection Sharing: Share a public IP address. ("Bridge Mode" and Distribute a range of IP addresses" cause additional errors which brings down the network. These errors include setting a DHCP beginning/ending address and no Internet connection. I tried setting the DHCP beginning/ending address several times, but the AEBS never accepts my entries.)
    IP: 10.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DHCP: Beginning/Ending Address: 172.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DNS: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
These are the settings for "wifi-box" in the Network Preferences:
    IP: 192.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DNS Servers: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
    Search Domains: 221am3.com
802.1X: No profiles (I deleted them)
Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains: *.local, 169.XXX/XX
Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV): checked
    MAC Address: same as "apple-wifi"
These are the settings for "apple-wifi" in the Network Preferences:
    IP: 172.XXX.XXX.XXX
    DNS Servers: 172.XXX.XXX.XXX
    Search Domains: 221am3.com
802.1X: No profiles (no profiles were avaible for "apple-wifi")
Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains: *.local, 169.XXX/XX
Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV): checked
    MAC Address: same as "wifi-box"
Two new discoveries that I uncovered yesterday are as follows:
    1. 802.1X (under Network Preferences): There were 3 profiles that I deleted from this tab last week. After resetting the network, they came back. Whether they were present or deleted, it didn't affect the connectivity of my network. Just mentioning that these profiles came back after deletion (I deleted them again).
    2. Yesterday, the network in my building went down for a few hours. I noticed that neither "wifi-box" nor "apple-wifi" were available to connect to. This is an obvious insight, but it seems that when "wifi-box" is unavailable, "apple-wifi" is unavailable as well. However, 'wifi-box' has always been available even when "apple-wifi" is down. Sounds like my Internet signal follows this path:
    AM3 > Condo building > "wifi-box" > my condo > Surfboard modem > AEBS "apple-wifi" > my devices (laptops, iPhone, Xbox, etc.)
    Two new questions:
    1. What is DHCP Client ID and is this something that I need to provide?
    2. Could the cables that I'm using cause any problems? Here's the cable that I'm using and the connections between the devices:
    CAT5: Router > AEBS
    CAT5e: AEBS > MacBook Pro
    CAT6: AEBS > Xbox
If there's other questions or infer that you need, please ask

  • Templated created in Outlook 2010 to be used as routing slip ~ Best way to create fields that will pull in contacts from outlook

    Hello All,
I'm currently running into difficulty with my Outlook Form. I have been tasked with creating a routing form within Outlook that will replace a pdf form. The form/email will be routed from 1 person on done the line as each person has inforamtion to eitehr
enter or to makr that they have viewed the form/email. I'm trying to create a field that would allow each individual to place their name in the apporatie box from either the Outlook contact list or create a dropdown list with the individuals in
my department. When I tried to create a contact field it would duplicate whomever first sent the email. Any and all help is very welcomed.
    Purplexed,

Not possible in my opinion. You may try a code solution.

  • IChat Tiger 3.1.4 (v432) resets my DSL modem/router

iChat has always worked untill one month ago on old speedtouch home. Frequent disconnects in the middle of a video conference. Now I have ne new modem/router form my provider, Speedtouch 546, and have internet connection. iChat can start up and connect to the net, see my buddies but can never initiate or accept a video conference. I click "accept" but it reports as if I have declined the invitation. Then ALL lights on my modem turn off, and it will reboot itself.
I have looked at Ralph's pages and opened my mac OS X firewall and have opened the port on my speedtouch in the NAPT section.
But...no way of testing if it works.

    Hi Aram,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions
Alcatel Speedtouch 500 series have SIP, a protocol iChat and VoIP devices and apps use, bound to port 5060.
In earlier devices that have version 4.x.x firmware this can be unbound. See here in the white text box a bit further down the page http://www.ralphjohnsuk.dsl.pipex.com/page4.html#_text
Now later devices (normally ending in 6) or those others that have version 5 or 6 firmware can not unbind SIP from port 5060.
The one solution that has been foound has been to put the device in Bridge mode.

  • WAAS Deployment in Asymmetric routing domain

    Hi Experts,
We deployed WAAS in our network as described in the attached diagram, each datacentre  WAE's have wccp neighbourship with adjacent DC router only .
It was working  fine with single tunnel to datacentre and almost all traffics were optimizing properly.
But after we broughtup both links to dataceter , we found that all packets were not optimizing properly and suspect its due to the asymmetric routing form the branch offices .
I tried some options as per the below cisco document,
    http://www-europe.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/contnetw/ps5680/ps6870/prod_white_paper0900aecd806d976a_ps6474_Products_White_Paper.html
registered all the 4 datacentre WAE's  with both datacntre routers and configured egress method as negotiated return. But after that normal http and application traffic are not at all going to branch but at the same time I have the IP reachability (ping)
could you please help us to find a solution for this asymmetric issue ?
    Rgds

    Hi Chris,
It works fine with single tunnel to datacenter and we could see almost all the traffics are optimizing properly.
The problem happened only when we brought up both links (tunnels) to datacenter.
Since it works perfectly with single tunnel, that means the access-lists and interception methods are correct.
Now we are looking for a solution to overcome this asymmetric routing issue.

  • Cannot Load Webpages when connected thru router, works fine without router

I just purchased an imac (intel duo) and have not been able to surf the web when it is connected to my Cable Modem thru a Linksys Wired Router. All the WinXP systems on the same network (wired or wireless) have no problems. I can get the dashboard widgets and do ping/trace/etc when connected thru the router. The problem is that web pages are very slow to load, if at all. Most pages, including apple.com, partially load and then freeze Safari. Turning off the imac firewall in systems preferences or clearing Safari cache made no difference. When I connect the imac to the cable modem directly, with imac firewall on and locked down, I have no problem surfing or accessing features such as the Itunes store. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I will say that Linksys Routers are notorious for being subpar. My suggestions would be to disconnect the router and cable modem and turn off the computer (and everything).
    Then, wait fifteen minutes.
Then, turn on the cable modem. Let it go through all its blinky phases, then turn on the router. Wait at least three minutes for ole' cranky to wake up. Now turn on your Mac.
This is what you have to do when a router forms a bad DHCP client lease.
An alternate first step would be to manually enter your own IP address that's the same everything except make up a 200 range number and throw it in for Z on the equation before .*..Z.
E.G.: if your DHCP address is 192.168.3.43, make up your own ending and manually enter it. 192.168.43.200. Set the router as x.x.x.1 (e.g. 192.168.43.1) and SubNet as 255.255.255.0

  • Last night, WiFi connection dropped and now it's a nightmare...

Last night, my iPad2 suddenly became unable to detect the router form more than about six feet away.  It's been working fine since it was purchased just before Christmas, however now, even sitting in the same room about three feet away, it drops from two bars to one, and I need to hold the iPad virtually on top of the router to get it to pick it up.
At home, I reset the router, updated the firmware, I've playeed with the router's channels, modes, name, every suggestion I could find online.  I reset the iPad, updated it, hard reset.
I took it to the Apple store today, and it connected to their WiFi with no problems, full signal.  I'm guessing, however, they don't use the average type of router you'd find in a normal household in their cavernous stores.  As they could detect no issues with it, I was sent away, no better off.
It's still under warranty - it's barely four months old - and I'm at my wits end already.  I've spent all day online (via my laptop!) and read endless forums about users with sinmilar issues, however I've been happily using the iPad since purchase without issue.  Any suggesitons welcome; my ideal outcome?  I'd quite like it replaced to be honest, but Apple won't be willing to do it obviously if they can't replicate the problem.
In my opinion, it's an issue with the antenna - I've had this issue with a wireless card in a laptop many years ago, whereby a signal was possible, but severely diminished.  I may be wrong, of course, but it's very frustrating, and a strange thing to happen out of the blue.

It's a Netgear VDMG280 (crap router supplied by Virgin)
    2.4
I've restarted the iPad constantly, with every change to the router's settings; nothing seems to be helping.
I have the usual types of kit in the house, two laptops,an xbox, a ps3, and they are all connecting fine.  It literally happened last night - sitting watching the ITVplayer in the other room, and the signal disappeared and couldn't pick it up again.
I presently have one bar sitting about three feet away, directly in front of the router.  Asbolutely furious about it, and if it's the result of an update, I don't really feel it's fit for purpose and I'd like to think I'm well within my rights to request a replacement for it - but I'd rather just sort it myself, frankly.
It's very disappointing, to be sitting here with a £400 Angry Birds player.

  • Can LiveCycle do all of what I need?

I wish to build a website where (only) authorized persons submit forms electronically via a Windows PC.  The information in these forms must then be automatically placed into a spreadsheet, and viewed on our website, without additional webmaster intervention.  We plan to restrict the download of our forms and website access by password.  I know some of the following are features of LiveCycle, but some features don’t seem to work when other features are enabled.
I know this a big newbie post, and if this isn’t the correct forum, please let me know.
Any help with these 18 issues would be greatly appreciated.   Greg – Cleveland  Ohio area.
    1.    Forms are to be submitted to the website by authorized persons using a name and password.
    2.    Forms must be dynamic.
    3.    The forms will have a field for the submitter’s own comments.
    4.    The data from each form must be kept together on a horizontal line on a table.  (Data will be name, address ,phone etc., with many fields being checked yes/no, a few with numbers, and a few fields provided for comments.  The data must be searchable by field. There will be no calculations or totals of the data.
    5.    All completed forms should be able to be automatically archived on our website (.tiff?)  and able to be printed and downloaded by authorized visitors to our website in case comments are made.  (Would this also be possible if a scanned form is submitted?)
    6.    The website/software must allow the viewer access (only as determined by his log-in and password) to all the forms matching the zip code(s) they are registered for.  (After signing in, they may use a “ENTER SITE NOW” link that will search for and display only forms and tables from specific zip codes.)
    7.    The user cannot change any form fields, but they should be able to add notes or flag data for the next time they log on to our website.
    8.    Data may be viewed on our website with the option to be downloaded to their PC for local archiving and printing.
    9.    Self owned, controlled and managed on my secure server.
    10.                       Information must be secure.
    11.                       Digital signatures will be required.
    12.                       The site must provide the authorized user form data in both a spreadsheet view and the original completed form-image.
    13.                       Each field must be searchable, returning each form with that search request, and displayed in a table.
    14.                       Forms will be downloadable from our website (unless e-mailing them is automated and triggered by the user’s request).
Optional website features, but very desirable:
    15.                       Ideally, paper forms will also be able to be used.  The user would scan the completed paper form, convert it using OCR, and then submit it electronically for automatic loading into the website’s spreadsheet(s).   Possible?
    16.                       The website should not show blank fields when the form’s data table is viewed online.
    17.                       Ideally, the website will accept forms completed and submitted using a PDA or iPhone device. Doable?
    18.                       Barcode scanning may be desirable, in the future.
    My questions:
How much of the above is handled by the features found in LiveCycle Designer?
Is there standard “server side programming” I can employ for handling my form data automatically for display on my company website?  Does Adobe provide this service?  Are there Adobe partners you can refer me to that provide their own software for displaying the form data?
Is there any site you can send me to that is already doing what we wish to do on our site?

Hi Greg, I'll try to answer some of your questions in order:
    1.    Forms are to be submitted to the website by authorized persons using a name and password.
-> There are a number of ways you can protect your form and the submission process.  Ideally you would apply a policy to the form so that it could only be accessed by people with the appropriate user name and password.  Alternatively if you don’t want to restrict access to the form and only the submission process you could “protect” the submission process by wrapping the submission process with a user name and password prompt using Web Services to call a back-end process that checks the users credentials before passing the data back.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/rightsmanagement/
    2.    Forms must be dynamic.
-> Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES can create Dynamic forms.  There are plenty of samples in the samples directory of Designer that will demonstrate dynamic forms, i.e.: the additional of new lines / pages / sections in a form.
    3.    The forms will have a field for the submitter’s own comments.
-> You can add a form field dynamically for comments in a dynamic form if you wish.  Just keep in mind that Acrobat commenting is slightly different than adding a field to a form to allow commenting at a specific section in your form.
    4.    The data from each form must be kept together on a horizontal line on a table.  (Data will be name, address ,phone etc., with many fields being checked yes/no, a few with numbers, and a few fields provided for comments.  The data must be searchable by field. There will be no calculations or totals of the data.
-> This depends on how you plan on extracting the data from your form.  There is no direct-to-excel functionality out of the box but you could create a custom component to create the output in whatever format you require.  Adobe LiveCycle Forms will be your starting point (to populate and extract data).
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/forms/
    5.    All completed forms should be able to be automatically archived on our website (.tiff?)  and able to be printed and downloaded by authorized visitors to our website in case comments are made.  (Would this also be possible if a scanned form is submitted?)
-> Adobe LiveCycle Output could do PDF to TIFF conversion or alternatively PDF/A output for long term archival.
    6.    The website/software must allow the viewer access (only as determined by his log-in and password) to all the forms matching the zip code(s) they are registered for.  (After signing in, they may use a “ENTER SITE NOW” link that will search for and display only forms and tables from specific zip codes.)
-> This would be a customization to Workspace http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/es/customizeworkspaceui.pdf or the creation of your own Web UI.
    7.    The user cannot change any form fields, but they should be able to add notes or flag data for the next time they log on to our website.
-> In this case I would suggest “flattening” the forms and then Reader Extending them so that they cannot be modified but commenting can be added with the free Adobe Reader.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/readerextensions/
    8.    Data may be viewed on our website with the option to be downloaded to their PC for local archiving and printing.
-> Again, LiveCycle Forms can be used to extract the data, it’s up to you on how it is published.
    9.    Self owned, controlled and managed on my secure server.
-> LiveCycle is a server-based product.  Check the compatibility matrix for server support options.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/knowledgecenter/softcomp2_0_1.pdf
    10.                       Information must be secure.
-> Data can be secured within the PDF and transmitted by secure means.
    11.                       Digital signatures will be required.
-> Digital Signatures can be applied to a Reader Extended form using the free Adobe Reader and verified on the back end using  LC Digital Signatures.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/digitalsignatures/
    12.                       The site must provide the authorized user form data in both a spreadsheet view and the original completed form-image.
-> This would be a custom UI.  Using iFrames would probably give you the view you're looking for (ie: inside browser view of both spreadsheet and form).
    13.                       Each field must be searchable, returning each form with that search request, and displayed in a table.
-> If you don’t already have a repository and search capability in-house then you can add on Content Services.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/contentservices/
    14.                       Forms will be downloadable from our website (unless e-mailing them is automated and triggered by the user’s request).
-> This can be done through Workspace for credential-carrying customers or simply provide the PDF’s as you would an HTML page.
Optional website features, but very desirable:
    15.                       Ideally, paper forms will also be able to be used.  The user would scan the completed paper form, convert it using OCR, and then submit it electronically for automatic loading into the website’s spreadsheet(s).   Possible?
-> Check out Barcoded Forms.  This is the ideal paper to digital solution.  Forms filled-in and then printed may get a decent OCR rate though, not 100% like you would get with Barcoded Forms.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/barcodedforms/
    16.                       The website should not show blank fields when the form’s data table is viewed online.
    -> Again, your custom UI.
    17.                       Ideally, the website will accept forms completed and submitted using a PDA or iPhone device. Doable?
-> Adobe LiveCycle Forms can render the same forms designed with Designer in PDF or HTML format (not many people know this).
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/forms/features.html
    18.                      Barcode scanning may be desirable, in the future.
-> The decoder provided with Adobe LiveCycle Barcoded Forms does provide you with 1D and 2D decoding capabilities.  This can be used to route forms and of course, decode data from 2D barcoded forms.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Failing to load webpages when connected at work (works fine else were)

I have a PowerBook G4 that I moved between work and other locations. I have never had any issues before, but now I am getting a very strange issue in Safari (1.3.2). If I enter the domain name of the site (say www.apple.com) it fails to ever connect, but if I put in just an IP address it is fine. This caused me to think "Hurm...DNS lookups are failing for some reason". But this seems to not be the case. I can open up terminal type "telnet www.apple.com 80" and then "GET index.html" and it works just fine. So DNS looks ups are atleast working Terminal. Also, this only occurs when I am at work. We have no other machines on the network that experience this problem. All other machines there are just fine.
    Any ideas?
    PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

  • Macbook Pro and Airport

I have just purchased a 2.2 GHz Macbook Pro. Love it - but - can't get online with Airport. We have a wireless LInkSys router. The computer controlling the router is a PC. We are using WEP encryption. The router will not let me sign on to the network. When I try it says "The selected network uses an Access Control List to restrict access and this computer is not on the list." How do I add this computer. Thanks.

You need to open the Linksys system administrator web page on your router. I assume your router's URL is 192.168.1.1 and then enter the router's admin name and password.
Click on the "Wireless" menu item in the horizontal table on the left. Open up this menu item, then in the horizontal menu bar, select the wireless access control item. You'll have to enter the "MAC address" of your airport card into the access list. The "MAC address" is the hardware address of the wireless device in your Mac. Apple calls it the AppleID. It looks like 00:1c:b3:c2:49:b9.
You can find your AppleID by going to the Network preferences and clicking on the AirPort service in the left hand column menu, then click on "Advanced" button. The AppleID will be listed at the bottom of the next window. (On the Mac, Apple calls the "MAC Address" the Airport ID.) Enter this MAC address or AppleID into the Linksys Wireless Access list.
Close everything, and you should be good to go. Oh, be sure to "select" the wireless router form your Mac.
BTW, WPA is a better encryption protocol for Macs.

  • What is "Contribute to Step" in Ingredients screen?

    Hi All,
I'm new to Process Manufacturing and have been going through the R12 Product Development user guide.
I could understand "contribute to yield" which means the ingredient quantity is considered while calculating the final product(s) quantity but could not understand "Contribute to Step". Could you please explain, if possible, an example would be great.
    Thank you!!

    Hi
In Recipe form, if you select "Calculate Step Qty" the step Qty are calculated automatically and no need to enter step quantities in the step Qty field. If you do not select "Calculate step Qty" check box then we have to enter step qty manually.
Note: In routing form you must have to definee step Qty then only your automatic step qty will come and calculate automatically.
    Navigation: Process Engineer-->Routings
    Hope this clear.

  • TMS - Virtual system - Production Server

    Hi,
I know that at the same time no need to install the all server and configure for TMS. So we are using Virtual system.
My question is:  How  the production server is attached instead of Virtual system ?
    2. How the Domain controller is transferred from Devlopment server to Production server ?

    Hi,
how to move the domain controller from dev to prod server ?
for that you need to reconfigure TMS.
first delete TMS configuration from DEV system 000 client.
    then reconfigure TMS.
to setup three system landscape do following.
    prerequisites:
-> set one system as domain controller. in your case it is PRD.
-> Add SAP QAS system to domain controller
-> Add SAP DEV system to domain controller.
you can add QAS system to domain controller using following steps.
login into QAS system client 000. ( stms is not configures that i assumed)
run stms -> it's ask for set up STMS -> click on other configurition (F6)
Target Host -> host name of domain controller ( host name of DEV system)
System number -> Instance number of domain controller ( instance number of DEV system)
    same way add DEV system.
now login into domain controller system in client 000 ( you are set PRD as domain controller)
run STMS -> overview -> transport routes
form configuration -> standard configuration -> three system in groups
assign SID of DEV,QAS and PRD system.
    save and distribute the configuration.

  • Ping to PE interface

I configured the MPLSVPN in my test topology which is chain of 6 router 1 and 6 routers are CE routers and all other are for provier network in which 2 and 5 is PE1 and PE2 router, as PE-CE communication i am using RIP, In both the CE router i have configured 3 loop back interface as internal network.
Here i can see the loopback of each other CEs in their routing tables but i cannot able to ping those loopbacks why?
other strang thing is i can not ping the PE routers interface which are connected with the CE routers so i want to know why i cannot ping the PE routers interface facing to CE routers?
How can i make all those loopback reachable to each other?

Can you pls provide answers in brief for these questions.
    1) Ping the remote CE loopback from local CE.
    Pass Fail
    2) Ping the same subnet from the local PE.
    Pass Fail
    3) Ping the same subnet from the remote PE connecting the remote CE.
    Pass Fail.
    4) Check this at Local PE ( show mpls forwarding x.x.x.x [where x.x.x.x is the remote PE loopback])
    Pass Fail
    5) Check this at the remote PE (show mpls for x.x.x.x [where x.x.x.x is the PE loopback for the local PE])
    Pass Fail
    6) Finally do a MPLS traceroute or ping from one PE to other.
    Pass Fail.
PS: if you dont have MPLS ping/trace in your IOS then do a normal trace from one PE to ther and paste the output.(ideally you should see label swaps with each hop except for the last hop)
This will helps us or may be before you come back, you your self would be able to solve it successfully.
If the above doesnt solve, pls provide a output of "show mpls for" ,a show ip route vrf xx and show ip bgp vpnv4 all vrf xx form both PE's. "show ip route" form both CE's.
Pls mention the PE loopback used for LDP and MPBGP and also the subnet with the problem between CE's.
    HTH-Cheers,
    Swaroop

  • Front controller calls

    Hey all
At the moment my front controller servlet determines where my JSP calls come from via hidden html fields, sort of like this:
    <input type="hidden" name="jspSource" value="addToFavorite" />But I've also seen people take this route:
<form action="/controllerServlet?action=<addToFavorite>Are there any conventions here I should follow? I find that my method works well, but I need a bunch of if clauses in the controller to determine where the call comes from, like this if(jspSource.equals("addToFavorite"))

Just always use the same parameter. I usually use two parameters:
action - this determines what servlet / jsp to invoke
subaction - this determines what the servlet should do and what the jsp should display.
    Example:
    action - repository
    subaction - deletefile

  • Related to stms

    hi, frnz
i am using 4.7 ides version for training purpose and learn transportation .facing some problem as after entering STMS t-code system ask me to config domain controllerand after doing so i create three virtul system dev, qal, pro. then set configration  three system land scape ...that is ok but for transportation what shoul i do .......
means after that what shoul i do please tell me in step if any one can help me out.....

    Hi,
Transport between two client is possible.
Use tcode SCC1 in target client.
    SCC1
Source client -> client where request is created an released.
    Transport Request -> Request
    check including request subtask
    click Start Immediately
if i arrange two server then what should i do for that.
If you arrange two server then you can configure one system as Domain controller and ADD the other system in this Domain controller then setup STMS for Two System landscape.
To setup two system landscape do following.
    prerequisites:
-> set one system as domain controller. in your case it is DEV.
-> Add SAP QAS system to domain controller
you can add QAS system to domain controller using following steps.
login into QAS system client 000. ( stms is not configures that i assumed)
run stms -> it's ask for set up STMS -> click on other configurition (F6)
Target Host -> host name of domain controller ( host name of DEV system)
System number -> Instance number of domain controller ( instance number of DEV system)
now login into domain controller system in client 000 ( you are set DEV as domain controller)
run STMS -> overview -> transport routes
form configuration -> standard configuration -> two system in groups
assign SID of DEV and QAS  system.
    save and distribute the configuration.
