Row banding on a ADF table doesn't work

Using EA19 and previuously EA17, the table works fine, but the row banding doesn't appear.
The used "skin" is oracle. Each row stays white.
The attributes I use are bandingInterval="1" banding="row".
Thanks in advance
Laurent

Hello,
I installed the demoADF context and banding works fine
on the table.jspx file.
Now I have to find whats wrong with my context, what can be context dependend ?
Best thanks

  • How to get selected row data of an ADF table in HashMap?

    Hi,
    Can anyone please tell me how to selected row data of an ADF table in HashMap like :
    Object obj = pageTable.getSelectedRowData();
    JUCtrlHierNodeBinding rowData = (JUCtrlHierNodeBinding)obj;
    Now in above code I want the convert rowData in HashMap.
    Can anyone please tell me how to do that? Its urgent.
    Thanks,

    Vik,
    No need to ask the same question 3 times...
    In [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=4590586]this post, Nick showed you how to get the Row.
    If it were so urgent, you could have done a little reading of the javadocs to come up with code like this (not tested, up to you to do that)
    HashMap m = new HashMap();
    Row r = get it like Nick showed you to;
    Object values[]=r.getAttributeValues();
    String names[]=r.getAttributeNames();
    for (int i=0; i<r.getAttributeCount(); i++)
    m.put(names, values[i]);

  • Dynamically changing row color in an ADF table?

    Hi,
    I am using Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660. Can anyone please let me know the code for dynamically changing the row color of an ADF table?
    Thanks,

    well you can use EL on af:column inlineStyle property to change the color on condition
    e.g
    inlineStyle='#{(row.SelectedRow)?"background-color: Silver":""};a example can be found here it is changing color based on Checkbox selection http://baigsorcl.blogspot.com/2010/06/deleting-multi-selected-rows-from-adf.html

    I recently purchased a shutter release remote for my IPAD camera but the cord is only three feet long and I need an extension cord.  I purchased a 3 banded AV extension but it doesn't work.  I have been told that I need an extension cord that has AV and Mic to enable the remote shutter release to work with the extension cord.  Can anyone tell me what the correct extension cable is and where I can find one?  Thanks.

    Greetings,
    I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
    At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
    The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
    I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
    You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • Subnr. links (2) in tabel to the same address table doesn't work always

    for english see below

    Subnr. links (2) in tabel to the same address table doesn't work always
    I created a report wher from the same table 2 fields are linked (1 is invoice debtor and 1 is order debtor) to the Main Address table (CONTACT). I have linked the address table to the invoice debtor and once again to the order debtor. When linking this way you see in the DATABASE expert in links 2 times the CONTACT table. Once as CONTACT and once as CONTACT_1. Everything works fine and I receive the data for as well the invoice debtor as the order debtor (if filled in) but it goes wrong when I create a Formula Field where I ask that if the invoice debtor field (Linked to CONTACT) is empty to show order debtor (Linked to CONTACT_1. However then nothing will pops up while the formula is correct.
    I hope above is clear and you can help me out

  • ADF Table sorting not working for  newly inserted rows

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.2
    I am trying to sort the table after inserting the mew rows using ADF Table UI sort option, But the newly inserted rows are not getting sorted.
    The code i am using to add a row is:
            ComplianceLibraryAMImpl am = getDataControl();
            EmKeywordVOImpl rep = am.getEmKeywordVO1();
            NameValuePairs nvp = new NameValuePairs();
            nvp.setAttribute("KeywordName", keyword);
            Row row1 = rep.createAndInitRow(nvp);
            rep.insertRow(row1);After this addition we are doing ppr on the table and then trying to sort using sort icon in table.
    But the newly added rows are not taking part in sort.
    What am i missing?
    Thanks,
    Tripuresh

    This is the expected behavior. Check bug 9109010 - newly added and unsaved rows don't participate in sorting as per design. Try saving the rows and then sorting.

  • Command link in adf table is not working..

    Hi All,
    I am having ADF Table, in that one column is with command link and,if click on commnad link it is not going to coorsponding action or actionListener methods of bean. If i give same command link out side of the table it working fine.But i have to pass some perameters on click of button.
    I am getting same problem in many places , if i delete the page and page-def files again if i create some times it is working but some times not working. Is there any specific reason for this.Following is the code snippet...
    <af:column sortProperty="GlobalDealId" sortable="false"
    headerText="#{bindings.DsaDealsResultsVO1.hints.GlobalDealId.label}"
    id="c8">
    <af:commandLink text="#{row.GlobalDealId}" id="cl1" action="#{pageFlowScope.editProfileCompleteness.sample}" immediate="true" partialSubmit="true">
    <af:setActionListener from='"#{row.GlobalDealId}"'
    to='"#{pageFlowScope.globalDealId}"'/>
    <af:setActionListener from='"#{row.CustName}"'
    to='"#{pageFlowScope.custName}"'/>
    <af:setActionListener from='"#{row.IsSaDeal}"'
    to='"#{pageFlowScope.isSaDeal}"'/>
    </af:commandLink>
    </af:column>
    Even i tried with out immediate="true" partialSubmit="true" also.
    And i set ChangeventPolicy = ppr for Iterator in page defnation file.
    Awaiting for ur reply.

    Hi,
    the real problem of the original poster seems to be <af:commandLink text="#{row.GlobalDealId}" id="cl1" action="createMDM" immediate="true" partialSubmit="true"> having immediate set to true in which case the request goes from restore view to render response. You usually use immediate=true on a command item to cancel an action (bypassing all the other JSF lifecycle steps).
    Peter551059,
    you don't give us much information about your case. So if the problem is IE9 and you verified IE9 is supported for the version of JDeveloper you use, then - in case you have a support contract - my best advise is to file a service request and have support looking at it just in case you hit a defect that should be filed as a bug

  • Dynamic columns in ADF Table don't work as they do in dataTable

    Hello!
    I've tried the sample from http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=427&threadID=560252 and all is working perfectly fine.
    Since my company has decided to go with ADF I've tried to port this sample to ADF. However I am experiencing one major problem. The dynamically created columns all have the same ID in different rows. That's why only the last row displays the correct values. Has anyone tried to port the sample from the JSF Forum to the ADF Table and succeeded? Is there a way to manipulate the IDs manually and if so, where do we do it?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The Develop the JSF/Tiles Application section explains the procedure to dynamically bind column values to a JSF data table. ADF JSF table column binding is similar to the JSF datatable.

  • Dynamic populate rows and columns in adf table

    Hi everybody !
    I have a query thats returns a unic value !
    and I want to populate an af:table with this value !
    i need to execute this query to get the values for each columns .... and jump to next row and continue to execute the query for new values of the columns of the new row !!!
    in backing bean ... im try to do someting like this :
    RichColumn coluna = new RichColumn();
    coluna.setId("id");
    HtmlOutputText out = new HtmlOutputText();
    out.setId("receive");
    out.setValue("Contas a Receber");
    coluna.getChildren().add(out);
    out = new HtmlOutputText();
    out.setId("pay");
    out.setValue("Contas a Pagar");
    coluna.getChildren().add(out);
    this.getTableFluxo().getChildren().add(coluna);
    but i get the same values for all the rows !!!!

    Hi there,
    If you use ADF BC you can make transient variable in the View Object and fill it in the get method,every time the
    get method is executed you will execute the query and change the value of the new transient variable.
    Even better solutions is to extend the query with this extra column and map the table with it.

  • How can I filter the rows displayed on an ADF Table ? pls help urgent..

    Hi All,
    I have a page with ADF readonly table, based on who is logging in I want to filter the rows to be displayed when the page is firstly loaded. This page is called from the main menu.
    I have created a custom method in the Application Module Impl :
    public void setInvoiceFilter () {
    ViewObject vo = findViewObject("BrowseInvoice1");
    ViewCriteria vc = vo.createViewCriteria();
    ViewCriteriaRow vcr1 = vc.createViewCriteriaRow();
    vcr1.setAttribute("Userid","xxxx");
    vc.add(vcr1);
    vo.applyViewCriteria(vc);
    vo.executeQuery();
    The question is : where and how should I call this method ?
    is this a correct approach ?
    Thank you very much for your help,
    xtanto

    I assume you're talking about a JSF application.
    I think you should be able to do this in the constructor of a backing bean.
    1) Add an operation binding, bound to your service method, to the page's pageDefinition.
    2) On the JSF page flow Overview tab, add a managed property to the backing bean. Call it, say, myMethod, give it type oracle.bindings.OperationBinding, and give it the value #{bindings.nameOfYourOperationBinding}
    3) Add a myMethod field of type OperationBinding, with getter and setter, to your backing bean class.
    4) In the backing bean class's constructor, add code like:
    myMethod.execute();This will execute the method every time the page is loaded.
    Now, if you want to execute the method only the first time the page is loaded, it's a bit trickier. You need to set, and use, a session variable:
    Map sessionVars = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getSessionMap();
    if (sessionVars.get("hereBefore") == null)
      myMethod.execute();
      sessionVars.put("hereBefore", "true");
    }

  • How to make a new row as selected in adf table

    Hi,
    I am adding a new row to my table as below.
    DCBindingContainer bindingContainer =
    (DCBindingContainer)ADFUtil.evaluateEL("#{bindings}");
    DCIteratorBinding iter = bindingContainer.findIteratorBinding("IfwSystemBrandView1Iterator");
    ViewObject vo = iter.getViewObject();
    row = vo.createRow();
    row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
    vo.insertRow(row);
    This code is adding a new row at the end of the table.
    I want this new row to be selected after it gets added.
    How to achieve this??
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    You should mention your JDev version!!!!
    in 11g you can archive this like
    BindingContext bctx = BindingContext.getCurrentInstance();
    BindingContainer bindings = bctx.getCurrentBindingEntry()
    DCIteratorBinding dcIterator =
    (DCIteratorBinding) bindings.get("IteratorBindingName");
    Row rw = dcIteratorBinding.getRowSetIterator().createRow();
    rw.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
    //insert row to iterator
    dcIteratorBinding.getRowSetIterator().insertRow(rw);
    //make new row the current
    dcIteratorBinding.setCurrentRowWithKey(
    rw.getKey().toStringFormat(true));or better if you have access to the table (
    private void createRowInTable(RichTable table){
    CollectionModel model = (CollectionModel ) table.getValue();
    JUCtrlHierBinding _binding = (JUCtrlHierBinding) model.getWrappedData();
    DCIteratorBinding dcIteratorBinding= _binding.getDCIteratorBinding();
    Row rw = dcIteratorBinding.getRowSetIterator().createRow();
    rw.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);
    //insert row to iterator
    dcIteratorBinding.getRowSetIterator().insertRow(rw);
    //make new row the current
    Key k = rw.getKey();
    dcIteratorBinding.setCurrentRowWithKey(k.toStringFormat(true));
    }Timo

  • Event Pooling Table doesn't work

    I have created Event Pooling Table and registered it. When I insert correct name into field TABLENAME nothing happens - when I look at BI Administrator - Manage - Cache - the table still has entry in cache (and record is deleted from EPT table). When I insert incorrect name info field TABLENAME, I can see message in errorlog (The physical table misstat1_db::MIP:MV_E_HIMA in a cache polled row does not exist.) and I suppose that it is working. But cache not purged.
    Can you someone tell me why?
    Thx.

    Hi,
    Stale cache entries are purged automatically at the specified polling intervals. As your saying record has deleted, it means that polling has occured.
    Are you sure that the cache entry you are looking at is the same table which has been modified?
    If possible, not a solution just for debugging, try to create sample request in Answers and check whether it's been changing when the table get modified.
