Row movement Disabled at DB- creating problems in OWB mapping

Hi All,
We have a OWB mapping 'XXXXX' with Default operating mode set to 'setbased-failover to rowbased' mode.The generation mode is set to 'Row Based'.This is called in a processFlow 'YYY'
This was running fine until sometime ago.
Recently at the database row movement on tables was disabled.
After this the 'YYYY' fails with a 'Warning:ORA-01403: no data found' when it calls 'XXXXX'.
Any idea on what this means.Is it something to do with the row movement disablin done recently?
Is the default operating mode and generation mode combination selected by us valid.
Please provide any inputs /queries by which we can trace the exact problem.

I don't think that issue will be with OWB.
take generated code and run in directly in database and check are you getting the same error.

Problem in OWB map for source change capture

The problem is as follows:-
Our OWB map between two different databases, captures change in data at source and populates them in target. It is a one to one map. The map is failing to process some rows from source database though it gives no:of errors as 0 in the audit view thus we infer that the map is running successfully.
In our case, we have a composite key ( Instance_id, Version_number) at source as well as target. One instance_id can has more than one version number. We have observed that the view is picking up all the version_number for a particular instance_id but the map is unable to populate the last version_number to the target table.
But when this map was executed in another environment and it is successfully populating all the data in the target.
The brief description of the map is as follows:-
The map has a view which captures all the changes in data (insert and update) .From this view we filter the rows which were already processed in previous map run (with help of watermark). Then we sort the rows based on DML type and watermark . These rows are then mapped to a target table. The loading type of the map is INSERT/UPDATE.

To internationalize the Web Dynpro application, copy the automatically generated *.xlf files and save them under a new name in the same directory.

After that we can edit and translate these new *.xlf files in the S2X Editor.

Sequence Generator problem in OWB Mapping

Hi,
I am using a Sequence Generator in my Dimension mapping. And OWB implements the mapping via an Oracle MERGE statement.
However when I execute the mapping my sequence number value gets incremented even when there are only updates and no inserts taking place during the execution.
I am using the sequence number only for inserts and not for updates in the mapping.
Is there a way to avoid this situation or a work around to this problem? This is very urgent and any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

I also have the same problem as I loose the seq numbers when there are updates only and I do not want to loose thousands of seq numbers. I tried with bulk size =1 as well as row based only execution but no result.
The thing which solved this problem is to have outer join with source and target, then use splitter to find out new and updated records (by looking the join key as null on target table side), then use a fuction to generate seq number when the key is not null. But doing all this does not seem to be elegant performance point of you. I do not want to join source and target due to performance issues.
Could you pl clrify your apprach. Are you using , Source minus target and Source Intersect Target . What you will do if there is no one to one matching between source and the target.

I need to disable profiles being created in C:/Documents and Settings/[Current User], or I need to move where these are created, move them to somewhere else on the C:/ not under a person's profile. Is this possible?

I'm trying to package Firefox 5.0.1 for people who have limited space on their profiles. When Firefox is installed and opened, it creates files in C:\Documents and Settings\[CURRENT USER]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and apparently this data (even though it's only 10MB) is too much for some people's profiles.
Is there a way to move where this is created? They don't mind if none of the information such as bookmarks follows them. I need to know if it's possible to move the files elsewhere on the C:\ so that it's not stored inside a users profile folder.

Open your profile folder Help menu (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting information and click the show folder button.
Close Thunderbird
Delete the file foldertree.json and restart Thunderbird.

Row Currency Error in ADF Create Form

Hi. Can anybody help me with this simple problem. I have been reading through the threads, and I tried the solutions, but it doesn't work.
I am having this error:
JBO-35007: Row currency has changed since the user interface was rendered. The expected row key was oracle.jbo.Key[-14 ]
I have one page, with a form. The form was created by dragging a view from the Data Control. The primary key is of type DBSequence. the client side validation is disabled, so errors created are done by the ADF Model validation, since the fields has the af:validator in them.
I clicked the submit once, it shows the error, for the required values. Without doing anything, I clicked the submit for a second time. I get the said error about the currency, as well as errors for required fields. Funny thing is, after clicking the submit button twice, besides the error, the control fields disappear. Its like its a new record.
Can someone help? Thanks in advance.

This is what I found out when asking our team that prepares the patches...
As you know the patches are generic and as a result can be applied to other platforms that JDeveloper is supported on. However the .bat that comes in the patch is for Windows only, but for other platforms you can most times copy the script from the file and replace the windows commands with their equivalent, for the required OS. Of course, ensuring to follow the patch readme instructions and to test the customized script to ensure the updates are applied correctly.
Open the bat file in a text editor and you should be able to see what files are being replaced and/or installed, and in what locations.
For example, in the bat look for windows commands such as 'copy', 'move', 'del' (most of the scripts are failry easy to understand what is going on). Take a backup and replace the windows commands e.g. on unix/linux to 'cp', 'mv', 'rm'
The windows commands in the bat file can be changed to the required operating system's equivalent commands. Change manually of using the text editor's search & replace functionality.
If the customer isn't confident or comfortable doing that Support can help out.

Front Row Movie Trailers don't work on Airport Network

I can't view Front Row movie trailers when using an airport network. However, I can see the movies if I bypass the Airport Base Station and connect my iMac straight to my DSL modem via ethernet.
I can access all other internet services via Airport - but not the movie trailers. I would imagine there is some firewall issues with the Airport Base Station - but I don't know how to fix it.
Anybody able else able to see movie trailers on an Airport network?

Yes that thread gave me a fix:

1 - Go to "Sharing" on the System Preferences and
turn ON the Firewall

Voila, it works. (Even if you turn OFF the firewal)l
it still works.

Firstly to say sorry for my bad English.
Now I have a question:
I'm working in JDeveloper 10.1.3 .The model layer is SessionEJB /Toplink ,and the view layer is JSF. I have a data structure :
HrUnit : Master
HrHuman : detail
HrKnowledge : detail
the <HrHuman>'s PRIMARYKEY is <ID>,and the <HrKnowledge>'s FOREIGN KEY is <RYID>.
and I want to make a page to insert a new row on <HrKnowledge>. I drag the <hrKnowledgeCollectionIterator> into the page as <ADF Creation Form>, the page run fine.
next step, I make <persistEntity> binding to the <submit button> and the parameters(entity) is
${bindings.hrKnowledgeCollectionIterator.currentRow.dataProvider}.
when i run the page , i get a wrong . i get the SQL in the <Unit of work > is
"INSERT INTO HrUnit ....."
i create a direct mapping for the detail's foreginkey in toplink,and when i "rebuild" the map ,it gives me a warning. This warning affect my custom code in EJB,it can't work correctly. So i can't use this way in my question.

I am not an expert in TopLink, but it appears to me that the TopLink model is causes your problems not ADF. There is a TopLink forum here on OTN that could give you a helping hand on this issue.

A question about Row Movement

I'm trying to do the Row Movement, but will it impact indexes? Will I have to re-create indexes or rebuild them?

On partitioned table, if you update the value of partition key of a row, the row move to the new partition and get a new ROWID. But no need to work on index after that.
Example :
Taken this partitioned table :

We have installed oracleAS 10g and our application is deployed for sms.Now we are shifting machine in new building. In new building IPs will be change.
Please let me know, Can changed IPs create problems or 10g will work normally after change in IP.

You might want to check and see if your hostname or DNS information is going to change along with the IP. Any and all of these changes WILL affect the move, and all have to be dealt with - usually by reconfiguring the listener and server parameters. Changing these items is not a trivial task and expect a few bumps before you get things back up. The name resolution will be key to the clients, so don't forget to check the DNS records.

If you have a copy of your .muse file that has not been saved using 2014.3, you can downgrade by uninstalling Muse and then choose Previous Version in the Filters drop down in the Apps panel of the Creative Cloud desktop app. There will be a popup next to Muse where you can select a prior version to install.

you can make it invisible during runtime.
At the event, AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT. you can turn attributes on and off for screen elements. In this case, invisible = 1, makes the element invisible, 0 makes is visible.
here is a short sample.

HT1386 I replaced my iPad and now don't see the iPad backup in iTunes. Any advice? Should I use my latest iPhone backup or will that create problems?

I swapped out my broken iPad for a new one, and went to sync in iTunes and only see my iPhone backups. Should I use those to back it up (most of the apps are the same across both, and same with the email, calendar, and contacts settings). Will that create problems if I use the same backup for two devices? Thanks!

No it will not create problems but if the iPad that you got is running an iOS less than what you are running on the iPhone, you will have to update the iPad first, before you can restore from the phone backup. You can't use the backup of a newer iOS on a device running an older iOS without updating the device first.
