Component Assignment to Activity

Hi
I am facing one issue regarding material assignement to network activity, When I assigned the material to activity then option 'NEVER' is populated for Reservation/ Purchase Requisition. I want this should be with option 2 ( From Release).
I have checked network profile also & here I had consider the option 2 ( From Release).Is there any other place where we set this setting. Please share your valuable opinion.

There is not othere place it will pick from network profile only, just chech you are referreening correct netowrk profile only.

and I must use a Bill of Material to assign material component. There is no other choice
This is the point where I disagree with SAP, cause the client says that they use Operational Networks, cause it's more simple to assign components to activities.

In the Dealer Portal, Vehicle Sales Role --> Personalization.
I am getting below Warning message.
The Web Dynpro component assignment for business partner is missing.
As per my investigation found below.
Since address formats are different for each country, you can define in the Customizing activity Assign Web Dynpro Components to Country-Specific Address Formats under SPRO --> Logistics Execution --> Dealer Portal which Web Dynpro component you want the system to use for displaying end customer addresses.
BUT do NOT understand the name of WebDynpro Component to provide.
What are the entries or WebDynpro component names to fill in below?

Component for netwowrk activity

Hi all,
When we add a component to the activity in the TAB assignment we have fields assembly, BOM category, Main assembly, MAin assembly cat and fixed key date.
can any one help out to understand where the above fields are being pulled from and what significance they have.

I have checked out the BOM also but havent found any details regarding assembly and may be thats the reason i have no assembly data flowing in to the project. Correct me if i am wrong.
Thus i want to know how do we get these details at the BOM level so that i can see those flowing into the project.

Error: "Component is not active" but component is active

Hi Experts,
I transported a Web Dynpro application from source system to target system. When starting the application via browser I'm getting this error message:
"Component XXX_BDB is not active"
But the component is active in source and in target system. When I try to activate the component in target system there comes this error:
Component XXX_BDB can't be generated because of errors: see long text.
(Message no. SWDP_WB_TOOL100)
According to the long text, there is a heavy error and I should check the component in order to eliminate the errors. Checking the syntax is OK and strangely, the component controller is also active. But when I want to start WebDynpro-Component, the error message "Component is not active" is displayed.
I have checked this thread [Problems when activating ComponentController |Problems when activating ComponentController; without any effect....
Does someone have any ideas?

where can I check the generation load limit?
I've done an extended syntax check (in source system, is that okay or should I do the check on both systems?), there are some errors regarding strings, field properties and structure extensions and some warnings regarding field properties.
But this errors are on an other wd component as well, but this other component is running, so I'm not sure if these errors are crucial. However I'm going to fix the errors now.
Baskaran, I will check the component controller and component usage as well but how can I identify the errors or should I just check it in general?
And what about the fact that both applications are running on the source system?
Additional info: the source system is ECC 6.0, the target system is Solution Manager 7.0

ABAP Runtime error when doing component assignment in routing creation.

Hi All,
I have a problem in component assignment while creating routing (CA01) by using Copy from function. We are creating a Sale order specific routing for a finished material by copying it from the same material. The Transaction runs very slow and when it goes to component assignment it is taking more than 2 hrs and going to dump.
This finished material is having very high no. of compoents in its BOM. (14000). Pls suggest why this is happening.

You can analysis the Dump error using t-code ST22 with the help of your ABAP consultant. He will be able to explain you why the dump you are getting.

Problem while assigning service activity to WBS

when i assign service activity to WBS element without filling any fields (like Purchase groupand Material group) it is going straight to Service Specifications.
if we fill the service specifications and save the project we can save the project with out any errors
i require entry of PurchaseGroup and Material Group is mandatory
and then system should go to Service specifications

Hi,
Just check in Network profile, on Activity tab (TC: OPUU). You must have maintained required details like Material group, Purchasing group etc in Service activity section. Whenever you create a service activity these values get defaulted in activty. Let me know if it solves your problem.

Operation level Component Assignment

In MTO scenario with VC and Engineering, the sales order specific engineering BOM is
derived through VC and around 80% complete at the time of sales order creation.
Engineering activities are carried out and sales order specific production BOM is derived
very late in the process.
So, operation level component assignment is not at all possible in advance.
need to get different components assigned to different operations at at time of
production order creation/change automatically.
Is there any function module,exit or Bapi or some other method with help of which
operation level component assignment can be done automatically in the production order.

Just a quick thought:
If your order is having status CRTD or REL (but without any confirmations, goods issue, settlements) then you can use the Read PP Master Data (Order header - Functions - Read PP Master Data) & this will re-read your routing & BOM. But for this to work for you, the routing should be updated with the assignments.
So what you could do is start processing your order as late as possible, thereby you can re-read the BOM & Routing as the modifications take place.
But if this is not possible in your scenario, then i am not aware of a BAPI or a FM which adds components to different operations in production order, you might evaluate writing a BDC program for the same. Anyways will update you if i manage to find a BAPI or a FM for this.

"Component Assignment Incomplete" while Apply Model from ESR

Hi all,
I am trying to configure a scenario by using Model Configurator with Tools->Apply Model from ESR.
My Process integration scenaro is : PAYE_EOY_GB which belongs to the swcv "E-FILING GB 1.0" whose content imported from ESR content available on sap marketplace.
I am trying to configure the scenaro.
The sender is a Business System "Sys_MyECC" which represents SAP ECC.
The reciever is UK govt gateway.. for which i created a party with the name "GovernmentGateway" and a Communication Component "GG_submission" within the party.
When i am in the model configurator, in the step 2 Assign Components, when i am selecting the sender Component as Sys_MyECC, it is giving the popup message:
Component Assignment Incomplete :
Each business component must be assigned a business system component. Incomplete assignments exist; these can be removed automatically.
What does this message is trying to convey.

Besides having a Business System, you need a Business system Service to have a B2B communication
I did not get what exaclty the Business system Service means.
for the sender, we have SAP ECC, the scenario will be triggered using sproxy communication.
so, we created a Business System representing the ECC server.
the "Bysiness system service" means.. does it also represent ECC server, in pi 7.1, if we create Business Component, how we can link the Business Component with the Business system.

Cost Center and Activity Types Relationship:
Normally Activities are assigned to Work Center. In this Work Center u have to maticoned Cost Cetner at Costing Tab in Work Cetner. So Here is the link with the Cost Center and the Activity
Previously mentioned In KP26 is the link, but it was on planning side only and it was not mandatory.

1. You can create person through Mini-HR. T.COde is PA30. you have maintain following ifotypes 0,1,2,6,7,105 & 315. No need of HR module
2. Create activity type in CO & maintain rate in KP26
3. Create workcenter and assign person & activity type in it.
4. Attach this workcenter in Internal activity
5. Do the workforce planning in CMP2
6. Book the time in timesheet using CAT2
7. Transfer the time to PS using T.code CAT5

    Table PLMZ stored the relationship between operation and component ,but if you want get more detail ,you have to connect to table STPO .
     The relationship as below:
      Table PLMZ ,key field :
        PLNTY Task list type
        PLNNR Group
        PLNFL   Sequence(it may have more than 1 sequence in a routing due to alternative or parallel sequence)
        PLNKN TL Node - Task list node (it stand for Operation , but not simply equal to operation no, Say in a routing ,there are 3 operations 0010 /0020/0030 ,in here ，for operation 0010 the TL node is 1, but if you delete it and create an new operation 0010 ,it may become to 4. pls link to table PLPO to get the operation no. )
        you can get below information :
        STLTY BOM category
        STLNR BOM
        STLAL Alternative
        STLKN Nodes
        WERK_STL Plant
       Connect to table STPO ,then you can get the material no and other things .

Cost center assignment to Activity Type

Prakash,
You may create an activity type by using the transaction KL01.
This defines the activity. Now you have to have a rate (per hour) defined for this activity. Additionally you have to maintain the cost center which will bear the expenses of this activity.
So ,
(1)Use KL01 to create an activity type
(2)Determine with your CO team which cost center(G/L Account) should be allocated ?
(3)Determine with your CO team what the rate/hr should be for this activity type?
(4)Use KP26 to assign the activity type to cost center and also assign the rate.

Hi Marco,
I believe this is a Functional Issue rather than a Technical one. If you could speak to the Functional Concultant or pass this data via manual transaction, you will get the error details.
It's just that the data passed to the BAPI is either incorrect or incomplete. You can also refer the Function Module Documentation for tips.

UCCX - Assigning the active CTI Port to a variable

I've been rigorously searching the forums here and have been unable to find a way to assign the active CTI port to a variable.
I'm wanting to assign the active CTI port during a supervised transfer to a variable that we will then be using for an exterior reporting application to narrow down call records.
I've found the information I'm looking for in the db_Cra under destinationDN in the ContactCallDetail Table, but cannot find anywhere in the CCX editor that I can assign it to a variable.
Any information someone can provide on the issue would be very appreciated.

A simpler way would be to use a Get Trigger Info step to grab the active Contact object. Then execute a "toString()" call and extract the current CTI-Port from it. In the string is a plethora of comma delimted information about the call so all you have to do is look for the CTI-Port number. It is prefixed by 'TP=" and is usually at the end of the string.
Below is an example of what to look for. I've already captured the Contact object into cntTriggeringContact. I just call cntTriggeringContact.toString() and the output below is what you get. Those who've used UCCX for awhile will notice that the content is strikingly similar to a MIVR log entry. Anyway, the TP=03009996230 was the CTI-Port directory number for this particular system.
