Row Template for Named Report - Grouping required

Question

Hi,
My report should show like
Assigned ID Date Description
To
ALAN01 12345 23-JUN-07 This is the desription
Entry Date :23-JUN-07 Entry Text:Pass to ABC dept
Entry Date :24-JUN-07 Entry Text:Pass to DEF dept
ALAN02 12346 12-JUN-07 This is the desription
Entry Date :12-JUN-07 Entry Text:Pass to ABC dept
Clearly there are two sections in the report for each row
The first one is the main query which brings n rows
For each of these n rows , the entry date and entry text is fetched
from a different table. The entry date and text may be many to a given row
in main query. Hence the display should show one row of the main query
and a set of records for the entry date and text
In other words, the data for both sections can be fetched by using
a join . Problem is that I need to group the data for the (Entry text and date)
based on the main columns (assigned, id, date)
Can anyone tell me how I can get this ?

Rakhee,
Did you see my response to your other thread on this same topic? If you don't need to display the data on the screen, the easiest way would probably be with a PDF report.
If you can't do that, creative sql or using pl/sql loops and outputting the data using htp.p would work too -
