RPTARQDBVIEW - next processor + responsible

Hi
We have had to make som enhancements to PT_GEN_REQ badi as we have our own approver model.  The "Next processor" field in RPTARQDBVIEW is correctly filled when request is sent to approver.  If approver rejects the request and sends back to employee, the field is blank.  Is this standard, or have we missed something in our enhancements?  I would expect "Next processor" to be the employee at this point. But I may be thinking too much about the Workflow - so maybe it is correct at this point that the field is blank.
Also: What is supposed to be filled in the "Responsible" field.  This is empty after our enhancements.
Thanks in advance
/Kirsten

Well we have standard class where it is done

  • Process using Webservice in Reader and Writer becomes slow while connecting processors

    Hi,
I have a process that reads from a web service and writes to a web service. When I try to modify the code(after stopping the running process) by adding new processors or change the current connections, the connecting arrows take forever to connect and sometimes the director hangs for a long time. There is no issue in other processes where I read and write from staged data.
    How to overcome this isue?
    Appreciate the help!
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Nick,
Thanks for the advice. In the scenario where upgrade is not an option, is there any workaround to this issue?
What I've found is if I strip the next processor of all its connections, then it gets connected to the previous processor pretty quick.
EDQ hangs if the processor has other input/output connections and I try to connect it to another processor)
    P1>---<P2>    <P3 ---------- P2 to P3 connects fast as P3 is standalone
P1>---<P2>    <P3>---<P4> ---------- In this case,  when I try to connect P2 to P3, it hangs forever.
I've a complex process and just for adding a few processors in between, I will not be able to connect the rest of the processors all over.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • When's the next improvement to MBP expected?

I've been thinking of upgrading my 15" to a 17" with latest processor, but I'm wondering when Apple might announce the next processor upgrade to the MBP line and if I should wait. If it's likely to be August it's probably too long to wait, but if sooner it may be worth holding off.
    Any views?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    hi
I've been thinking about getting one to and not sure about waiting. though i reckon the next update/redesign will come after the santa rosa platform is released. so maybe around june. not sure if it is worth waiting as it is a long time, unless you don't need it just now.

    Hi
The processor of your laptop is the Top one compatible - go through you Service Manual.
Next, Processors are attached/integrated to the system board. So, if you want to change the processor - you've to replace the whole mothernoard.

  • Mac Pro 2.66 ghz, Intel Core 2 duo Upgradeability

I want to purchase a 2.66ghz Mac pro, now in my price point, but want to know if I can upgrade the Procs from the TWO Dual cores to two Quads to make an 8 core sometime next year. Can the existing MOBO handle this upgrade or do I have to replace it?

Haven't seen you around these parts lately. Hope that rig is smoking fast! and I suppose you'll sell again in a year when there are more "mature" systems (the next update will likely come someday but be a stepping stone).
The new rig is definitely faster even with day-to-day operations (no doubt from the increased HD speed, RAM, and 2.66-3.0GHz speed of each core). When I crunch video or do heavy multitasking is where the difference is definitely noticeable, though!
I'm not going to upgrade the upgrade when the next processor comes out, only because everything i read indicates 10-15% tops speed increase over what I have now. That's nothing like the 50%+ I got over the quad in rendering. I -will- try to get the next video card option as an upgrade kit, however, if it is offered. I like the 1900xt, but wish something even faster was available for Motion rendering.
And you're right about selling next year I try to keep upgrade after every major revision because the cost to do so is so small at that moment.

  • I REGRET OVERCLOCKING!

Today is the saddest day in my life.
My Barton 3000+ processor has died on me yesterday night when I was trying to overclock it.
    This is what I did:
    1) I set the multi at 11 and raised the FSB to 200MHz, saved settings and exit.
        --System didn't post at all--
    2) Cleared the Cmos.
    3) Repeated step one but I increased the Vcore to 1.75. Saved changes and exit.
        --System won't post again--
    4) Cleared Cmos.
    5) System won't post (bad sign).
    6) I've swaped memory modules and it work.
    7) Set modules to dual channel mode again before attempting any overclock.
    8) I set the multi at its default speed (13). Set the FSB to 166MHz. Saved changes.
       --System worked well--
    9) I increased the FSB by a factor of two increments (e.g: 166-168-170...). Maximum overclock achieved was 182MHz without increasing the Vcore. Save changes.
    10) --System worked well at @2366MHz.
    10) Increasing the FSB to more than 184MHz made system unstable.
    11) Cleared Cmos.
    12) I've set the FSB to 184MHz and increased the Vcore to 1.75. Saved changes.
    13) --System won't post--
    14) cleared Cmos.
    14) --System still won't post--
    15) I swapped the memory modules and only used one stick in ALL banks.
    16) --System still won't post--
    17) I'm starting to get desperate.
    18) After playing around with the memory modules, in a sudden the system is working.
    19) I've started to suspect that the mobo was damage.
    20) Went to BIOS and this time I've set the multi at 10 and the FSB at 200 (I wanted to make the processor run synchronously with ram). saved changes.
    21) --System won't post.--
    22) Cleared Cmos.
    21) System is working, but the weird thing of all is that after setting the multi at 10 and the FSB at 166MHz (Processor's default FSB). I saved the changes to Cmos but the mobo reports the processor speed at 2166MHz instead of "1660" (10x166).
    22) I increased the FSB to 170MHz and the mobo is reporting processor speed at @2210MHz instead of @1700MHz.
    23) I'm suspecting that the multi is not working on the processor or the the mobo is faulty.
    23) Did the same steps from above but using 11 multi instead of 10.
    24) Same damn problem.
    25) I've set the multi at 11, increased the FSB to 200MHz and increased the Vcore from from its default 1.65v to 1.80v. Saved changes.
    26) --System won't post--
    27) cleared Cmos.
    28) System won't post.
    29) I'm starting to pray asking the Lord to help me on this one.
    30) --System still won't post--
    31) I'm getting desperate. Don't know what to do since I've swapped memory modules to see if the trick worked but it didn't.
    32) Went to sleep. (I couldn't)
    33) Next day I went to a retail shop to test the machine with a next processor.
    34) Their processor works flawlessly in my mobo.
    35) Now, I'm f*cked up.
I used a good power supply, a good pair of memory modules .
Some one suggested me to increase the FSB to 200 and lower the multi at 11 just to start with. The problem I found is that system won't post even decreasing the multi at 10.
If any one is asking which type of cooler I had, well, I was using a Thermal Take Volcano with good silver-based thermal paste (is not AS-5, but it does the work well).
    What went wrong????
Can any one give me a clue???

    Quote
    did you monitor the temp?
Yes I did. In deed, processor temp never went beyond 47ºc.
    Quote
    18)=Check your ram.
Ram is OK. I tested both on another mobo and they're fine.
Now I have to live with a burned-up processor for the rest of my life.
Next time I won't overclock in my life no matter if the processor has unlocked multipliers. I'm traumatized for life.

  • Passing events - whats wrong with this code?

    hi,
I'm trying to get components to behave in a frame like they would as though I had written
    frame.getContentPane().add(thecomponent);
by processing events explicitly. I've written the code below as a test, and it does work, but the events do not seem to be passed to the component at the right level.

Or if you tree a JButton then it doesn't actually visibly "click"

I'm not sure how to create the 6 processes to each add part of sum and then update the total for the next processor to sum the next part up, and i don't know where it goes either.
I think it would be something like:
    public void run()
    try
    //this add it up
    total= array + total;
    System.out.println("PROCESSOR"+thisnumber+" Your total is " + total);
    sleep();
    update(total)
and then do the same code for another processor.
I'm confused do I have to name each processor and put the name in :
    public void Processor1 ()
    please help I'm very confused

  • Sending Offline Interactive Form Via Email

    Hi,
I am running NW 2004s SPS09 and trying to configure GP to use offline adobe interactive forms.  As of now, I am able to create a callable object from an Adobe template, prefill fields from other background execution/web service callable objects, and launch a process when the form is submitted via email.  I am having trouble routing the form to the next processor through email.  I created an interactive form callable object, checked 'Enable Use In Guided Procedures' and selected 'Create Offline Interactive Form And Send By E-Mail'.  My first thought was that there was some delay in the sending of emails, but callable objects in other processes that send plain text notifications work fine.  The process does not enter an erroneous state and waits at that action.  Looking at the GP monitor under NW administration, the correct processor is set for the action, but the task does not appear in the user's UWL or GP runtime center (I figure this is because the task is meant to be completed offline).  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.  Thanks!
    ~Greg

Turned out the 'switchToNewMailCommunication' property for the GP service was set to true when it should have been false.

  • Error '9' when calling service 'SO_OBJECT_SEND'

We are implementing travel module. The scenario is when the employee raises a travel request, after approving the mail should be sent back to the employee. This feature is provided by the standard.
However in the SEND_MAIL step the WORKFLOW Container variable 'Employee.Trip.User.Id' is not set owing to which the mail step gives out error.
Can anyone please guide us on the probable cause of the error ?? Where does the object TRIP gets the value 'TRIP.USER.ID' ??
Is it any setting issue ??
    Please guide..

    Hi
Run report HRALXSYNC  and you will solve this.
We have faced this issue many times and the solution we have applied is
    1. This issue occurs on a step that is dialog where some agent needs to either approver or reject.
    2. You should check the rule (Agent determination rule in that step).
Run that rule with the workflow data (use scenario with which you are getting error).
Run the rule individually and check if you are getting right result.
this error most of the time id due to the fact that the rule is not be able to determine next processor of the workitem.
    Error 9 when calling service SO_OBJECT_SEND SWF_RUN535
to assure you can hardcode the user for test in the rule and run the workflow as that is the most effective analysis that will help you determine the cause.
I have never seen this error on a background step unless there is a mail step involved.
You need to run the report HRALXSYNC to synchronize HR objects which will surely solve this issue.

  • Due date update using GP APIs?

    Hi all
I am working on the Due date update using GP APIs, I have done it at the "process" level. However I dont know how to trigger it at an activity level using GP APIs.
Please tell me how to gain access to the Activity (Action) instance of the next processor from the current one? I have set the Due date statically at the process and activity level. Now I wish to allow the user to change the due date dynamically using GP APIs at the <b>activity</b> level.
    Ideas pls......

An other one!! I have set the due date manually in the process yet I dont see it in the UWL. Any thoughts on this? Thanks again.

  • EOS 5D Mark III - Serial Number EXIF Error

    Hi,
I just enquired of PhaseOne as to why their DAM & RAW processor does not show the Camera Serial Number and I received the following reply:
"The simple reason for this is that the 5DmkIII does not write it in the standard EXIF data which the 5D and the 5DmkII did.
I have attached a EXIF extract from a 5DmkII and a 5DmkIII to show it.
This essentialy is a Canon firmware issue or feature depending on how you see it"
Is this going to be corrected in a new Firmware release or is it a feature of the 5D Mark III?

    AiDon wrote:
    RobertTheFat wrote:
I guess the question is, "Is there a "standard" location for the camera serial number in a RAW file?" Or is the author of a RAW processor responsible for knowing where it is and handling it accordingly? With the exception of a few artificial outliers like Adobe's ACR, aren't all RAW formats camera-specific?
    Hi,
Yes there is a standard promulgated and agreed to by camera manufacturers from The Japan Electronic Industries Development Association (JEIDA) which produced the initial definition of Exif. Version 2.1 of the specification is dated 12 June 1998. The latest, version 2.3, released on 26 April 2010 and revised in May 2013, was jointly formulated by JEITA and CIPA. Exif is supported by almost all camera manufacturers.
Unfortunatly though, camera vendors also store important information only in proprietary makernote fields, instead of using available Exif standard tags. An example for this is Nikon's ISO settings tag and now it seems, the Body Serial number tag on the Canon EOS 5D Mk III is used for something else.
It leads me to believe it is a tag error because my other Canon cameras don't have any problems.
    Don.
Maybe they put the serial number where they did in order to make it more resistant to Exif-editing software. If so, maybe it's a feature rather than an error. It will be interesting to see where the serial number appears in RAW files from the 7D2.

  • Why wont Turbo Tax 2012 run on my mac?

Why wont Turbo Tax 2012 run on my Intel Mac running OS10.6.8?
    My Mac:
       Intel Core Duo
       OS 10.6.8
       2GHz processor
Box and online specs indicate it should work but it does not...
    Can Anyone help...

    Hi eston,
well, the bad news for you is that the specs do indicate that it will not run on your computer.
    Why, you ask.
If you look at the TurboTax 2012 specs for Mac, it states that for Mac OS X 10.6.8, one needs to run 64-bit.
from Intuit site, TurboTax Deluxe 2012 computer requirements  (http://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/deluxe.jsp):
    Processor:Intel-based Processor
    Operating System:
Mac OS X v10.6.8 or later
Mac OS X v10.7.5 or later
Mac OS X v10.8.0 or later
Note: 64-bit required for Mac OS 10.6.8
the "64-bit required" link takes one to the Apple kb page....
    My Mac:
       Intel Core Duo
       OS 10.6.8
       2GHz processor
your spec list above states that you have an Intel Core Duo.  The Apple kb article (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3696)  shows a list of which processors are 64-bit and which are 32-bit.  Unfortunately for you, the Intel Core Duo is 32-bit.  This is why TurboTax 2012 will not run on this computer.
The next processor, Intel Core 2 Duo, is 64-bit, as are the later Xeon and "i" series.
    cheers, and good luck,

  • Mac Pro buying advice for Graphic Design

I am going to be purchasing a Mac Pro and was hoping I could get some advice on the right set-up for what I do. I use CS4 heavily on the Mac for graphic design spending a good amount of time in Photoshop working with files that can easily go over a few gigs (when working on convention booth displays, etc.). I also use my Mac for casual video editing in iMovie, and use Apple's other great offerings like iWeb, iPhoto, etc.
    My main questions are:
    - I'm leaning towards the Quad. I keep my Macs for at least 5 years. Is that a good decision?
    - If I do go with the Quad should I opt for the 2.66 or 2.93?
    - At the moment I am running 8 Gig on my current Mac, should I configure this new one with 8 Gig?
    - Is the Radeon the correct card choice for a heavy Photoshop user?
I hope these questions aren't ones that have been asked a thousand times. It's a lot of money to spend (especially right now) and I want to make sure I configure it correctly for what I do.
Thank you in advance for your input.

    Hi hatter,
Thank you again for your responses. That really helps clear up the RAM situation. I think that is part of what swayed me towards the 8-Core as opposed to the Quad. Please correct me if I am wrong, but looking at prices of RAM on Crucial I see that if I wanted today to put 16 Gigs of RAM in a Quad-Core it would cost me $1200 (for 4 4-Gig chips using all slots). However if I was going to put 16 in the 8-Core I could do it for $400 (8 2-Gig chips using all slots. Actually it would only be $200 more since I configured my Mac with 4 2-Gig chips from Apple for an extra $100). Seems like having more slots open will save me money when I want to upgrade ram since I don't have to go for the 4-Gig chips. That coupled with the theory that Snow Leopard is around the corner and will take advantage of the 8-Core it seems like opting for a low end 8-Core vs a high end Quad is worth the $300 difference.
Side note: Are there any reports that say running more 2GB chips is worse than running fewer 4GB chips? Just curious.
Even though I understand that the processor speed makes a difference I am hoping that the advantages of more RAM slots and future benefits of Snow Leopard, CS5 and other apps that will take advantage of the 8-Core in the near future will make it the right decision. If I could afford a faster 8-Core obviously I would opt for that but with a jump of $1,400 to the next processor speed I am afraid it is out of my reach.
Regardless I'm sure I will feel very spoiled as soon as I unwrap this beast and get it up and running.
