Rule missing in Transformation

Hi Experts,
When i was created the transformation (for cube in bi.7) the following error occured, plz give me proper solution.
Rule 3 (target field: Z_PRI): Field /BIC/Z_PRI must be assigned to an InfoObject
Message no. RSTRAN526
Diagnosis
No InfoObject is assigned to field /BIC/Z_PRI. This is mandatory if you want to use the corresponding rule type.
System Response
The rule is invalid.
Procedure
Assign an InfoObject to the field

Hi,
In Transformation you have to select rule detail and write routine like for exp:
My fields are z_prc & z_qty i have to calculate revene.
Routine:
go to revene field in traformations -> select Rule Detials -> Select Routine
Write Routine:
Result = source_fields-/bic/z_prc * source_fields-/z_qty.
like you have to write routine your problem is solved.

Conversion of Update rule to new Transformation

Hi All,
I'm using BI 7.0 SP9. I have a scenerio where in I need to load standard cube 0SD_C03 cube from the standard extractors like 2LIS_11_VAITM etc..
Based on the the thread below I have done the follwoing steps.
how to migrate old transfer rule/update rule to new transformation?
- Activated Business content cubes, update rules, infosources etc...
- Done all the required work in Source system.
- Later migrated data sources.
- Now the problem comes, Based on the above tread I have gone to the context menu and selected "Tranforamation erzeugen". It asks to create new Infosource created a new infosource and the the transformation came up. But I can see its not mapped to Source system datasource. I mean its not linked to the datasource in Source system. Its just created in BW and when i load nothing happen. I understand this is not correct process.
But when it pops up for Infosource If I select existing Infosource I dont see the old one's just because they were migrated already.
Now how do I link with the source system with out creating transformation manually. because there are lots of standard routines in update which cant be rewriten in new transformation manually.
Please let me know if there is a way to directly copy them and also correct me If i'm doing some thing wrong.

As Alex said delete the existing datasources and try to replicate it again as 3.x datasources. The process will work fine.
When you replicate datasources it will pop-up screen for you to replicate as 3.x datsources or as a new datasource.
Whenever you will plan to migrate from 3.x to new one, do migrate update rule, and transfer rules first. As when you migrate datasource, it deletes existing update rules/transfer rules also. For each update rule/ transfer rule it will create transformation for you after migration.
After migration your scema will look like:
datasource (new)-> transformation( replacement for transfer rule)->infosource(new)->transformation (replacement for update rules)->data target.
Anyways when you will createmodel from scratch in 2004s system, i hope you know infosource is now more mandatory in 2004s system.

Missing DTPs, transformations of FI-CA & IS-U CCS into BI Standard Content

BI Experts,
I'm a basis guy trying to do some research for our BI team.
We are starting an IS-U CCS implementation (on top of existing/running SAP system) and have ECC6.0 EHP3 with IS-U activated in back-end. The BW system is connected to this ECC instance.
Our BI team says we are having the following problem:
"We need to get the missing DTPs, transformations of FI-CA and IS-U CCS into BI Standard Content "
We have a netweaver 7.0 system that was upgraded from 6.20 about 6 months ago. I recently updated the system to the following support pack levels:
SAP_ABA 700 18 SAPKA70018
SAP_BASIS 700 18 SAPKB70018
PI_BASIS 2006_1_700 8 SAPKIPYM08
SAP_BW 700 20 SAPKW70020
BI_CONT 704 1 SAPK-70401INBICONT
Can anyone tell me how I can get these missing DTPs, transformations and IS-U into BI standard content ? I'm wondering if I need NW7.0 EHP1 for my BI system?

just FYI, sap support is helping us resolve this issue. First, we loaded the transport from SAP note 1179880 . That helped give us the content, but still missing some DTPs.
Sap is working on a new support pack to fix our issue.

Content for 0REFX_3 transfer rules missing.

Hi folks
We are trying to implement content for 0REFX_C03 cube. But the transfer rules from datasource to infosource 0REFX_3 is missing from business content.
Inorder to get that we have implemented SAP note
BW transfer rules missing in delivery
SAP Note Number: 1246385
And we installed BI_CONT 704 SAPK-70401INBICONT New support pack for BI content.
It leads to weird changes in the system like previously available objects in BI content are missing.
Did any body encountered same problem.

Currently on BI_CONT 735 Level 003.
Did this problem get resolved?

Mapping(type routine) missing in transformation 2lis_03_bf - BCT 703, 704

i am on 703 BI content, than when i activated the 0ic_c03 infocube I observed that in transformation 2lis_03_bf mapping is missing, target field should is not mapped with source field, in earlier version of bi content target fields is gettinc caluclated by some routine and secondly start routine of 2lis_03_bf have syntax error, same with 2lis_03_bx and um transformation.
so we upgraded to BI conetent 704 with patch 0001 than i reactivated the 0ic_c03 cube but though problem is same.
so, we are now planning to upgrade support patch 0003 for BI content 704, will support patch 0003 for BI content 704 solve the problem or anyother thing required to do with current status of BI conetent 704 with patch 0001 to solve this issue?

we applied the 0003 support pack/patch for the BI content 704 from patch 0001 of BI content 704,
now start routine error of 2lis_03_bf is gone, transformation is comin as active verson once we do reactivation of object from BI content,
But still missing the mapping rules in transformation.
note 1179880 is saying that Import Support Package 3 into your system. is that mean patch 0003 for BI content 704?

Implement Note 1171293 in your system. The following procedure depends on the release you are using.
BI_CONT 7.04:
A Support Package that contains all transformations is available for Release BI_CONT 7.04. Import Support Package 3 into your system.
If you install Release 7.04 by upgrading from Release 7.03, only the changed objects (delta) are imported into the system. As a result, transformations may be deleted in the system, and you may only notice this when you activate the new BI Content from Release 7.04. The missing transformations are delivered completely in this Support Package"

Problem in Read Master Data rule type in Transformation

Hi,
I have 'Tax Classification' & 'Sales Territory' as attributes for 0customer (Master data). I loaded master data for 0customer & data have come up for this 2 fields. I want this 2 fields in my DSO with data filled. As this 2 fields are not in Transaction datasource of my DSO, i added this 2 fields in the Target side in Transformation of the DSO. In Transformation, I gave the rule type as 'Read Master Data' from attribute of '0customer' & mapped KUNAG (Sold-to) to this 2 fields. Activated the Transformation & executed the DTP.
When i check the data, i could see that the Infoobject 'Sales Territory' column alone is filled but 'Tax Classification' column is blank. Tax classification has data in 0customer master data for the displayed customer values but still data is not coming in DSO.
How does this happen when both the fields have same mapping & rule type and still data not getting populated for one field alone. Am i missing anything?

hi,
the green request in MD does not means that the data in MD is activated, you need to activate it after loading everytime so that it reflects in where used list as well.

BPC NW - Error in Business Rule for Account transformation rule table

I have given the Account transformation Rule to move Amount from Account A to Account B and then I have given the following script logic in the default script

But when I try to load data through Input schedule in Account A and expect amount to transfer to Account B, I m getting an error

BI 7.0 - Add RULE Type in Transformation

Hi All,
I've tried to load a transactional data to info cube.
In my Transformation i've mapped 3 fields to 3 Info Objects ( 2 char and 1 keyfigure) .After this i've created DTP and loaded the data. in my infocube the values are loaded successfully , but for key figure it shows with "0" only. not actual value.
Whats the actual problem over here?
How to solve this one?

Hi PV,
when you are seeing two different versions of code in the routine( differnece in code from display to change mode), it means that the routine was not saved properly.
Here is what you can do.
Go the the transformation in the change mode,
click on the routine and see if the code is available... do a syntax check and save the routine. if the code has disappeard then write back the code, syntax check until you find no errors and save it.
Come back and do a syntax check on the transformation. activate it if no errors found.
Open another session and go to the same transformation (to double check the code.....). verify the code in both display mode and change mode of the transformation to make sure that the code is not corrupted/missed. I'm sure the code does matches in both the modes.
Collect it and transport it to the next system, this time it will not fail.

Order of execution of rules in a transformation

I have a transformation in wich 2 rules are using abap-code. Both rules need an initial calculation which is the same for both rules. After the initial calculation each rules proceeds differently.
So I have rule 1:
- INITIAL ABAPCODE A
- FURTHER ABAPCODE B
And rule 2:
- INITIAL ABAPCODE A
- FURTHER ABAPCODE C
I think that I need to do calculation A only once (in rule 1) and store the result in a global variable. Then in rule 2 I should be able to re-use this initial result. However: It appears that sometimes rule 2 is exectued BEFORE rule 1. Is this a known problem?

Ok in that case better idea would be to move it to End routine
so end routine would look somethign like this
Loop at Result_package in <result_package>
routine A
Routine B
Routine C
End loop.
This will execute routine A or calculation A only once.

Business Rules for Account Transformation - Execute a Transformation Group

Hello,
when executing a package for account transformation, I want to select a specific transformation group
only.
The transformation group is the first column in the definitions.
My question:
Can I pass this to script logic as a parameter?
What is it like?
I think this should have a performance effect when using account transformation in default logic.

Hi Jochen,
Your best bet is the documentation at [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc75_nw/helpdata/en/2b/8f059920de465b88be2893e2117fbe/frameset.htm], however in this case it does not do a very good job of explaining what is happening. Fortunately the CALC= property is just about the only one that you have control over for the account transformation business rules.
The other option (and the only way to truly know what is going on) is to investigate the ABAP programs that actually execute the business rule logic in BW. You can find these programs in SE80, under the UJ package, in the UJP sub-package. You will be most interested in the classes available there. There tends to be one class per business rule group, as well as classes for allocations and validations.

Trasfer Rules missing in BI Content

Hi,
I'm facing an issue with transfer rules in BI 7.
For most infocubes, when i try to activate bi contnet in data flow before, it does not give me transfer rules.
Moreover, on the bi content installing screen on the workbench, when i'm trying to locate transfer rules, the system doesnt show any transfer rules available in bi content.
my bi cont is on patch level 11.

You re not entirely correct. Transformations are introduced in BI 7 but the old concept can still be used.
Moreoever, BI Content still predominantly delivers UR and TR.
Can anyone help in this matter?

Transfer Rules missing in Business Content (704 lvl 1) for CMS

We are currently on BI 7.0, and using Business Content 704 level 1. When collecting BIC InfoSources for Collateral Management Systems (CMS), we notice that the transfer rules are missing in business content.
Has anyone encountered this issue? I have been referencing notes 1171293, and 1179880

Mail Rules missing "mark as unread" and "mark as unflagged"

I'm adding some new rules in Mac Mail and just noticed that there is no option to "mark as unread" in my list. My friend has it coming up, but it isn't there for me.
When I click to add a new rule, the drop-down for Perform actions lists "delete", "mark as read" and "mark as flagged". I'm missing "mark as unread" and "mark as unflagged".
Why would I be missing those options?

Mail rules doesn't offer these options which is why you don't have them. Your friend must be mistaken. and anyway since the rules are only applied to new messages there is no point in having the option to mark them as unread - they are unread already. You can add a rule to unflag messages using apple script but if I'm not mistaken all new messages are unflagged by default too so there is no point for this one either.

0HR_PY_1 Update rules missing in Business Content

Hi All,
In business content update rules from 0HR_PY_1 to Cube 0PY_C02 is missing.
We are on BI_CONT 703 0009 SAPKIBIIP9 Package level. I have checked in other system which is on package level 7 the update rule exists. And in the system with package level 11 the update rule doesn't exists.
Did anybody faced this issue. Any solution/comments on the same.
