Running a report in the back groud using a another report

i have a parent program and a child program.
now the child program is run using the parent program in which i must have the out put of the child program either in the back ground and in the foregroud. i'm using submit(in the parent program) to run the child program in the back ground.
But here my issue is i have same selection screen in the child program and in the parent program. And two more extra radio buttons(in the parent program) to select and to run the (child) report either in the back ground or in the fore ground. How do i approch at this problem.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.

I have a Macbook which is running Snow Leopard. I back up using time machine to an external drive. If I purchase a new Apple Macbook pro running Lion if I use the backup to this will I be able to use Leopard on the new computer

If the new computer did not originally ship with Snow Leopard installed, no, you will not be able to go back from Lion. Snow Leopard lacks the necessary drivers required for newer hardware.

Is there a way to get a (return) value back after running Javascript statements in the backing bean?

I have a usecase where I need to run a javascript function from within the backing bean and get the value returned by the function.
Example:
 In Java I have two variables x and y, I want the javascript to return the larger value z.
 This is what I'm doing, but I have no means to get the values of variable z.

Any other solution to the issue is highly appreciated.

You should first determine in a case like this if your iPhone or other device has been assigned a valid DHCP address.

Can you play the guitar program and also run a keyboard at the same time using seperate outputs for both?

I wanted to be able to play live on my electric guitar using mainstage and my keyboard player to use mainstage on the keyboard can this be done using the mainstage 2 on this computer? Also if this can be done can you send the keyboard output and the guitar output seperatly to be able to be in different channels in the PA system?

Short answer: YES (but you will need to carefully consider how you organise your Patches with Guitar and Keys combinations, so that you both get the correct sounds at the same time)

Yes, ideally using a multi-output audio interface. edit (with 2 outs for the guitar, and 2 for keys... you might also want another 2 pairs for monitoring)

Now I've got the 'iSight in use by another application' issue. :-(

There are plenty of other threads on this, I know, and I reckon I've read most of them by now. Why does this suddenly happen? I do not have any other applications running. I have tried to make iSight work in all the applications on my Mac that can use it:

PDF loaded using ActiveX will not load when the executable is used on another computer

I am fairly new to Labveiw and have created a CAN diagnostic tool which uses an ActiveX control to display the CAN Spec PDF on the front panel. This works absolutely fine and still works fine when I create and use an executable on the same computer. However, I need to use the application on multiple computers that do not have Labview installed, and therefore require the executable. I have tried placing a copy of the PDF in the "Volume" folder and recreating the .exe with that path, then placing it in the same location on another computer, but no luck. I am fairly certain it has to do with the static file path, set in the Main VI, since it refers to a static location that does not necessarily exist on the next computer. I need some way to get around this though, so that I can easily transfer the application from one computer to another. The code I am using is very simple; I just open Adobe Reader and the file during initialization then close the reference path (see attached picture). Any Ideas?

A solution that I have found to work well is to use the Project Directory node as a root path. In the development environment this node will always return the path to the directory containing the project that is calling it. In an executable, it returns the path to where the executable is located.
With that known starting point, I can put files like that pdf in either the same directory as the project/executable or a subdirectory of that location and I can always find it.
When creating a build spec you can include non-LV files and specify destinations for them. Likewise, the installer will then put these files where they belong during the installation.

Is it possible to access channels on a DAQ board while the device is used by another application?

I am curious if is possible to run an application that reads one channel of a DAQ board while another application already is reading different channels on the board.

You can have more than one application accessing a DAQ board at a time but not for the same type of process, such as analog input. I tried a setup where one program was accessing analog input channel 1 and a separate program was accessing analog input channel 2. Only one program would run at a time. However, you can have an analog input program and a separate analog output program accessing the same board running at the same time.

After my update to version 4, the back button now only seems to store the last page I was on rather than the last 10 like it used to before the update. I've scoured the options menu to no avail. How can I get the back button working like it used to?

The back button used to work many times before it would reach the end of its list of pages I had been to recently and became greyed out, but now it will only work once before this happens. Also, the list of pages that pops up when I right click it now only has two entries no matter how many pages I've visited on that tab, the page I am currently on and the page I most recently left. Previous to the installation of the update to version 4 however, the list that appeared when I right clicked on the back button contained up to 10 items.

Try the Firefox SafeMode.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

How to suppress the back-ground execution of a query in design mode

hi guys,
there is a bahaviour of the system, that I'd like to change. So, when we
1. start EXCEL
2. go to the designer mode to create a report
3. first drop an InfoProvider (e query) into a cell,
4. second - pull e.g a filter element into another cell, still being in the design mode.
Just in this moment, the query itself has been already started in the back groud, aiming to fill the cache, I guess.
Does anyone know how to suppress the back-ground execution? I'd like to control, when to start the reports execution.

There is no way to do that if you are creating thru BEx Analyzer.
Instead use the BEx Analyzer, try to create using directly BEx Query Designer.
In that way, the query will not be executed, until you want to...
