We have two users that have been using Creative Cloud for almost a year. Recently, sometime in the last 4ish weeks, the users can no longer run Creative Cloud apps. (Yes, our subscription is paid.) Error simply says administrator access is required to install. The apps have already been installed. The users cannot run them unless they are in the local admin group.Using "Run as admin" does not work. It gives the same error.
I have opened a case with adobe support and was basically told to suck it up and put the users in the admin group. Actually, what was said was that it is "mandated that the users have administrative rights".
There are a couple of things wrong with this. It was working for both users until recently - a recent required creative cloud update. The users have never been local admins yet the apps were working (poorly, but working).
We are in an enterprise environment and users simply do not have administrative rights on the computers.
I have changed permissions on all adobe folders, granting users or authenticated users modify or full control rights, did the same in whatever Adobe registry HKLM keys I could find. Nothing has allowed the users to run the apps - unless they are put in the local admin group.
Someone has to have a fix for this. Adobe apps have proved to have far too many vunerabilities to even entertain the idea of elevating user rights. I can't imagine that enterprise environments are allowing this.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Jeff,
Thank you for your response. The users in question are "standard" domain users. We do not reduce users permissions below the standard level.
The apps do not load with their current standard user permissions.
The thing that makes this odd, is that up until recently they did this issue with cloud apps. The only way I can make it work for them now is to put them in the local administrator group on their pc's - which is not going to happen.
This is what they now see. As I said before, this was not a problem up until recently they would see all their available apps. If I put them in the local admin group the apps are listed without having to install. Everything is there, just not accessible to the user.

  • Can I run Creative Cloud apps on my new iPad Air?

Can I run Creative Cloud apps on my new iPad Air?

No, the applications only run on Windows and Mac OS X.
Only the Touch apps PS Touch and Ideas will run on the iPad.
You can see the System Requirements for each of the applications from the Download Center page at https://creative.adobe.com/products. Just click on an application and from that application's page choose the System Requirements link.

  • Running Creative Cloud apps after System Restore

I got Creative Cloud yesterday and I'm totally psyched.  I downloaded several of the apps in the Application Manager.  Once they were done, I hit the "run app" button next to Photoshop to make sure it was working.  It worked perfectly, so I went to bed.
This morning I turned on my computer and it didn't start because a Windows update that I installed while shutting down last night was apparently poison for my computer.  I had to recover from a system restore point that had been created several weeks before Creative Cloud was installed.
Now I'm not sure how to start or install any of the Creative Cloud programs.  In the Application Manager, it says all the programs I'm interested in are installed, so I can't re-download them, and there's no "run app" button there any longer.  And in the Program Files on my computer, even though there are now several CS6 files, for the life of me I can't find any of the .exe files that will actually run the programs.
How do I open these programs?

I fixed it, but it involved three calls with Adobe support that added up to around 6 hours... in the end, we had to use a special Adobe Suite remover program to totally scrub my system of anything Adobe.  When that was done, we were able to install most of the programs, but not Muse or Acrobat.  To get Acrobat to work, we had to use another special Acrobat remover tool, then we had to create another administrator on my computer and use the new account to install Acrobat from there using a direct download of the program, instead of the Application Manager.  To install Muse, we figured out that we could just download the trial from the Adobe site and just install it that way - again, as opposed to installing it from the Application Manager.  So now everything works, but the Application Manager still doesn't recognize that Acrobat or Muse are installed - it still has the "install" button next to their names.  The support guy said I should still be getting updates, but that he'll check up with me in another week or so to see if that is indeed the case.
    Good luck Gravity6.

  • Cannot run Creative Cloud apps on Win 8.1

I have installed Indesign and Photoshop apps (trail version) in Windows 8.1 but cannot start either apps. I have 8GB RAM. What is the issue? Thanks.

We can't really know. Your info is at best vague. Presumably something is blocking the activation system, so refer to this:

  • Tablets that can run full Creative Cloud apps

I have heard that the Pro series of the surface tablets, is the only tablet on the market, that has the ability to run Creative Cloud apps.

The system requirements for Cloud apps include Windows 7, Windows 8 or Mac OS X 10.7+.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/tech-specs.html
Surface Pro runs full Windows 8 so it can run Cloud apps providing it meets other tech specs.

  • What tablet do you use with Creative Cloud / Apps?

Hello, I am look for a tablet to run Creative Cloud apps. Does anyone have first have experience? Comparing the iPad 2 Air to the Galaxy and possibly the Surface Pro (... but Surface that gets into a different price range). This would supplement my current desktop / laptop workflow.
    Thanks! Dave

If I had the choice (and the cash), I'd probably go with the Surface Pro or the forthcoming Surface 3 (a budget-conscious version of the Surface Pro). The reason is because of full desktop app support like Photoshop CC and full access to your assets on Creative Cloud. You'd pretty much mirror your desktop experience with a little less power and be mobile.
I use a Google Nexus 7 2013 myself; it's great for what it is (as are most of Apple and Google's devices) and apps designed for it like Photoshop Touch are great on it. There's just one problem: It isn't desktop Photoshop.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud app doesn't run

Just tried to use my newly Adobe Creative Cloud app today after signing up for an Adobe creative cloud account. I have Mavrick Version 10.9.3 and I cannot run the application Adobe creative cloud app. Every time I run the program it starts to load and then exits immediately with no error. Talked to Adobe tech support was not able to resolve the problem. Anyone else having this problem?

I have a similar problem, my CC desktop app just shows the loading animation, usually crashing as well. I've tried reinstalling the app but nothing seems to be working.
Please post up if you find anything =)

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Apps "Download Error"

I wonder if anyone can help?
I recently migrated my iMac, which had Creative Cloud setup all fine, to a new iMac. Both run OSX Mavericks.
The new one was having initial problems opening any creative cloud apps that had been migrated over, including CC Manager itself.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but no change. I resorted to manually binning all Adobe files and starting again.
This appeared to initially work and I downloaded CC manager, got that running without errors and also downloaded Photoshop without a problem.
However, there was a Photoshop 'Update' available almost immediately which I downloaded and since doing this, I now get an error on the CC Manager's 'Apps' tab.
I have tried the 'Reload Applications' button but that has no effect.
My Photoshop still appears to be working fine but I yet need to download Indesign and Flash and others from CC Manager.
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Did you run the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling?

  • Creative Cloud Apps Telling Me I am in Trial Mode. Help!

First time I have had an issue with my Creative Cloud subscription apps. My account is in good standing since May. On a Mac running 10.6.8
As of this morning, when I try opening any of my Creative Cloud apps, I receive a notification saying "Sign In Required" -- We will now register your trial to your Adobe ID.
I installed the most recent updates on Monday, Dec. 17. After installation, I had no problems opening the software.
This morning, I launched Adobe Photoshop CS6 (ver 13.1.0) with no problems. Then, when I went to launch Adobe Illustrator (ver 16.2.0) I received the dialog saying "Sign In Required" for all my apps.
When I click the "sign in" button, it opens the apps in "tryout mode". When I quit and reopen Photoshop, InDesign, Illlustrator there is a window asking me to either license the software, or continue the trial. When I click "License This Software," it tells me sign in is required so I hit "sign in." But this then prompts me for a "serial number" -- which Creative Cloud subscribers don't have. And now all of my software is doing this.
    Please...any help would be appreciated!!

Spoke with a very nice gentleman from Adobe Creative Cloud support.
He suggested, when you get to the "Sign In" page, to click "Not my Adobe ID" and it will take you to a page to sign in with your Adobe ID.
    This worked!
He said that the recent updates had caused a glitch that was a "known issue."
    Hope this helps someone else!
