Running in Debug Mode

Hi All,
If I run my OAF page in debug mode and keep pressing F8, the control tends to reach classes like OAWebBeanHelper etc.
Are we suppose to look into the code for these classes for debugging ?
How do I skip these seeded classes code when I am in debug mode ?
I want to see, where the control is going from the end of my current method..
-Amit

What exactly are you trying to debug. At the end of your method it will go back to the next line on the calling method. You can check that in the stack window(next tab to the structure pane) where you will find the entire stack of flow. You can also use Step out of the current method in to the calling method.

  • Server Error Running in Debug Mode

    Has anyone been able to run EA in debugging mode with the J2EE 1.4 application server?
    When I try, here's what happens:
    1. The server is stopped in preparation to run in debug mode
    2. The server restarts
    3. Before deployment the server dies with this error message:
    java.io.IOException. Unable to connect to admin-server ...
    This is for port localhost:4848

    There are a couple problems with debugging in EA:
    1) The debug port may be in use. Sounds like what you may be seeing. Assuming you're running on Windows, run "netstat -ano" to find out if port 1044 is in use. That's the debug port.. Kill the process that is using the port. This may require a reboot if the owner is System.
    2) The second problem is that on Windows, you may only be able to debug once without restarting the server. Non-Windows doesn't have this problem. The plan is to fix this in a future release.

  • FlashBuilder 4.7 will not run in Debug mode with BlackBerry 10 simulator

    We have developed an app that has been released both for Apple and Android working well.
    When trying to do the same for BlackBerry it was rejected because it did not start at all.
    The App that runs fine on the BlackBerry simulator in the "run configurations mode".
    However when I try to run it in Debug mode it will not start at all. Just flashes and simulator goes back to main menu.
    The debugger will after a while time out since it cannot connect to the app running on the simulator.
    BlackBerry 10 Simulator runs under vmWare Fusion.
    Anyone seen this before?

    Hi, Silence04. Welcome to the Discussions.
    You had serious disk directory corruption. That can also cause corruption in OS files: while Disk Utility or DiskWarrior may fix the directory, if the directory corruption resulted in OS files being damaged — as it appears to be in this case — then you can't avoid an Archive and Install. For important tips on this, see my "General advice on performing an Archive and Install" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the specified order.

    Managed Debugging Assistant 'FatalExecutionEngineError' has detected a problem in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\IIS Express\iisexpress.exe'.
    Additional information: The runtime has encountered a fatal error. The address of the error was at 0x73c0d5a5, on thread 0x1a0c. The error code is 0xc0000005. This error may be a bug in the CLR or in the unsafe or non-verifiable portions of user

  • Problem connecting to Realtime system to download or run in debug mode

    I have updated my LabWindows\CVI to 2013. I have a PXI system with a PXIe-8101 controller. The PXIe-controller has a real-time OS installed. I have been programming this system for a while now so I am not exactly a novice anymore. The first time I tried to install the program to my real-time target I got a message which said "LabWindows/CVI cannot connect to the real-time target." It also said " .... The version of the LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine for RT must be compatible with the version of the LabWindows/CVI development environment."
    So I figured that was the problem. My next step was to go into MAX and sure enough was getting all sorts of flags and errors when I used the real-time software Wizard in MAX by right clicking on the Remote software and clicking on Add/Remove Software. And like I suspected there were several flags indicating a software differences. My next step was to update the software in my real-time target to resolve the problem. After I did that I compiled the code and installed it on my remote system.  Everything seemed OK.
    The following Monday I restarted LabWindows/CVI and made a couple of changes and tried to build and install to my real-time target. I get that same message as in the first paragraph. So I thought I might not have real-time system  booted up correctly or something like that so I checked all of that and it looked OK. Next I opened up MAX and it could see my real-time target just fine.
    When I had my LabWindows/CVI 2012 I did not have this problem. I think maybe there is some incompatibliity issues with my LabWindows 2013; has anyone had a similar problem? I am able to get around the problem by building the release version and copying it to the PXI with CuteFTP V9.0 but I cannot do run my program in debug mode with my LabWindows/CVI and if you may have noticed I have other problems which is in another post I put in next week. I am hoping the problems are connected and I can kill two birds with one stone LOL.
    I appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Don Pearce

    Hello,
    I want to make sure I'm understanding what you are doing in the LabVIEW project. According to the Getting Started with the LabWindows /CVI Real-Time Module manual, these are the steps to install software on the RT target:
    1. Launch MAX.
    2. Find and expand your RT target under the Remote Systems item in the MAX configuration tree, right-click Software, and select Add/Remove Software. When you select Add/Remove Software, MAX launches the LabVIEW Real-Time Software Wizard. This displays all the National Instruments software and drivers installed on the host computer that you can install on a selected RT target.
    3. Select the software you want to install on the RT target, click the icon next to the software, and select Install the feature.
    You need to install LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine for RT to add support for LabWindows/CVI RT applications on the RT target. This component is required for all LabWindows/CVI RT applications.
    The forum post here solved this same issue by installing missing drivers based on this KnowledgeBase article.
    Also, LabWindows/CVI 2013 SP1 has been released. Service Pack 1 (SP1) has many  useful bug fixes (listed here), so I recommend upgrading to LabWindows/CVI 2013 SP1 if possible.

  • Problem when trying to run in "Debug Mode" in JDeveloper9i

    Hello All ,
    i have a problem to debug my application using
    JDeveloper9i .
    i get an error: "fdebug.exe could not be read "
    and Application error box appears .
    i did the following steps in the instalation:
    1) i installed the JDK 1.3
    2) installed the Jdev9i from base installation zip
    3) In <jdeveloper_root>\jdev\bin\ i executed the command
    InstallOJVM.bat c:\jdk1.3
    and get message:
    "InstallOJVM successfully"
    4) i wrote simple program and put a breakpoint ,
    when i'm trying to run the program in "Debug mode" i get an error box message
    "fdebug.exe Application Error"
    The memory instruction could not be read
    please help ,me to fix the problem i need the debuger option .
    thanks in advance.

    Do you have the file c:\jdk1.3\jre\bin\fdebug.exe, if you don't, you
    need it. Look for the file in the base install directory, it should be
    there and then copy it to the location above.

  • VI server application runs under debug mode but not other wise

    I have an application which uses VI server to call vi's on my targets hard drive. When I run this using the highlight execution( or debug ) this works OK, however when I run without this I get error 66, connection closed by peer. When I look at my target using a direct monitor connection I get various messages relating to memory errors. I have run virtually the same code calling a simpler application and this seems to work fine, however when I simply target the RT engine with the same code ( using the RT comms wizard construction) I don't get a problem. This should, I think, be using the same amount of memory. What is the best was of assessing the memory available against the memory required? Do anyone have a
    ny ideas as to why the VI should run with execution highlighted and not without. I have tried adding delays so simulate this but it doesn't seem to work.

    Check out this KnowledgeBase article. It describes how to enable a memory monitoring tool that might help solve your problem.

  • CVI under Windows 7. Runs in Debug mode but not as release EXE

    I have a project the the ran fine under windows XP.  Moved it under windows 7 and things do not run as expected.  Sometimes the screens update, sometimes I get the twisting hour glass and "Not Responding" message on the UIR screens. I can pull the project under the debugger and the project appears to start to run again.  Has anyone come across this sort of mind melting item and if so how does one go about trying to track down the cause?

    what version of CVI are you trying to run on Windows 7?

  • Running Weblogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug  mode

    Hi to all,
    Here i got a problem after installing Oracle Identity Manager 11g R3,to solve the issue i need to run WebLogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug mode.
    Can any suggest how to run WebLogic Server 10.3.3 in Debug mode.
    Here i find a solution to run in debug mode,but no difference in log files before and after changing debug mode.
    Enable Debugging on the WebLogic Server
    To start WebLogic Server in debug mode, you will need to modify the startWebLogic.cmd script in the <WLS-root>\wlserver_10.0\samples\domains\wl_server directory. <WLS-root> is the directory in which WebLogic 10.0.1 was installed into.
    In the startWebLogic.cmd script, specify the JAVA OPTIONS with:
    set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=4000,server=y,suspend=n
    Let me know if u have any questions,
    Thanks and Ragards,
    Satish

    Greg,
    I cam across this issue too. It looks like there is a bug in sample script provided by weblogic documentation. We should not use ADMIN_URL as they mentioned in the script.
    Remove it and try. For more info. please see this link helps:

  • Running APPS in Debug Mode

    Hi all,
    I would like to know how to run APPS in Debug Mode. I know the steps to enable debug mode at apps tier server level as below...
    Log into the apps tier server as apps tier manager.
    Edit $APACHE_TOP/Apache/conf/httpd.conf
    LogLevel debug
    Edit $APACHE_TOP/Jserv/etc/jserv.conf
    ApJServLogLevel debug
    Edit $APACHE_TOPJserv/etc/jserv.properties
    log=true
    wrapper.bin.parameters=-DAFLOG_ENABLED=TRUE
    wrapper.bin.parameters=-DAFLOG_LEVEL=UNEXPECTED
    wrapper.bin.parameters=-DAFLOG_MODULE=%
    wrapper.bin.parameters=-DAFLOG_FILENAME=$APACHE_TOP/Apache/logs/aferror.log
    Edit $APACHE_TOP/Jserv/etc/ssp_init.txt
    DebugLevel=5
    DebugSwitch=ON
    Bounce the Apache Services for changes to take effect.
    Now my question is, I want to know how to debug APPS in freont end. i.e.., I want to do it in APPS screens, if I do it at the apps tier server level, it'll be for all. But I want to do it for a single user (Just like running GUI tools such as VB,D2k in DEBUG mode).
    Regards
    -Mahesh

    Hi Sharon,
    Thanx for the reply.
    Actually, I don't want to debug using any profile values. As I pointed out, if we set the profile value debug mode is enabled for all the users using that particular module. But I want to do it for a single user, who wants to run in Debug Mode. Any more updates on this?

  • Why can't I run in non-debug mode???

    I recently copied a JSC project into another project using the "Save Project As" option when right clicking on the project name.
    The new project appeared to copy fine and I was able to bild and run the project normally.
    Somewhere along the line, I did something that changed something to where I can no longer run the project in 'non-debug' mode by using either the 'Run Main Project Ctrl+F5' under the 'Run' menu or by clicking the Right Green 'Run" triangle on the main menu.
    The project builds successfully, but never runs in the browser.
    I have tried stopping the server and everything else I can think of, but nothing works.
    I can select 'Debug Main Project F5' from the 'Run' menu and it will build and start in the browser.
    Other projects, including the source for this one, run fine in 'nion-debug' mode, but not this one.
    How can I fix this??
    I have run into instances where I get a message that says the build.xml file was altered externallt and was rebuilt. Is there any way to force a remake of the build.xml file using "Standard" defaults?
    Thanks

    The reason for copying the project was in order to create another very similar product that required only minor modifications at this time.
    I got around the problem by doing another project copy and then using Beyond Compare to update the new copy with modifications I made to the original copy.
    That worked.
    My basic question was what would cause the problem that would create the situation where you could run in debug mode, but not non-debug mode.
    This happened after the original copy (that worked fine) and after I had done most of the required modifications.
    My thought was that there was some file or parameter that I could change rather than redoing the process.
    Apparently not......................

    BTW, what flags you switched on to run the server in debug mode?
