Running procedure when pressing interactive search button

Hi there,
I'd like to run a procedure when submitting a search.
So when the user klicks on the search button, first my procedure should run, then the search should be executed.
How can I handle this? I cannot put the procedure to 'run on button condition' as the search button is not shown in this list.
Any advice is appreciated!

Try to use a Workbook.BeforeClose Event (Excel), this event will occurs before the workbook closes. If the workbook has been changed, this event occurs before the user is asked to save changes:

You need to do a custom method eather in managed bean or in Application module to do that.
in managed bean it would be something like:

Report is not starting an adobe window when pressing the print button

When ever I press the print button on my report and I get the box that asks you which page to print. I choose all and then press the ok button. Nothing happens when I press the ok button. I'm I missing something on the server that is running the application. It works locally but not on my test server.

Well, in order to print using PDF, you must have adobe installed...
I understand that you have some CR Service Pack installed, but I am not sure which one. I'd recommend you download SP 5 from here;

Re.; I was wondering I am missing something from the server that converts the report to pdf and shows it in the adobe viewer.
Not that I am aware of.
If SP 5 does not help, a question for you; can you print any pdf document (non CR) from adobe on that server?

I've made data-acquisition VI, when i run it and press "for example" the
minimize button of my VI it stops untill i release the minimize button, is
there anything to avoid this?? So that when i press the minimize button that
my vi just go's on with it's loops?

As the other response indicated, we try to keep the loops running, but
certain things in windows consume the UI thread, meaning that LV can't
update the UI. You can make a simple VI that charts ten points per
second and see if when you release the mouse the chart catches up. The
standard way LV does execution tries to decouple the UI from the
execution, so that the diagram can continue even while the UI is stopped.
If this example works and your application doesn't, it is likely that
y
our I/O loop is interleaving UI and I/O. If the UI gets blocked for a
period of time, such as you describe, this is when the UI blocks the
rest of the loop. If this is the case, and this is important to you,
you can try to separate the UI from the I/O by moving then to two
independent loops that communicate via locals, etc.

My phone was alright thses days but suddendly when i pressed the Home button to get out of an app, it didn't respond and also when i want to see the time I press the Home button but it doesn't show the lock screen. Do I need to go to an Apple Store or is there another way to fix this problem? I have read the Helping Center in the Apple Web but still it didn't help to solve my problem. Hello all Senior Members, I just purchased Brand new Z30 unlock 16 Gig black phone from BlackBerry shop (two weeks ago)....so far I loved the phone very much. Last couple of days when i press lock/unlock button on top of the phone it automatically shows count down 3, 2 and 1 and goes to standby mode. It is so frustrating because previously I was using lock/unlock button to shut off the screen for unnecessarily call or press wrong button while putting phone in the pocket. When phone is in standby mode I have to restart the whole phone holding lock/unlock for 10 seconds because when phone is in standby mode I am not getting any messages, calls, etc...(Tried couple of times when phone is in standby mode when I call my number it says “customer is not reachable" Could anyone help me out how to rid of this standby mode please? Ipad Does NOT turn ON even when pressing power/home buttons, plugging through the charger and usb through itunes

Hi, my iPad suddenly froze while downloading a free kid's game, the loudness/soft symbol just kept on appearing no button works even the slide off/cancel. Then it suddenly turned off. I searched for troubleshooting guide, I tried pressing power/home buttons as instructed, charged/uncharged, and connected through usb using itunes but to no avail. What have gone wrong? I bought this in Vietnam but am here in the Philippines and still under warranty. Could I bring this unit to a service center of apple here in the Philippines?

Did you hold the home/power buttons for ten to fifteen seconds until the apple appears?
If still bad, try a restore from within iTunes.
If still bad, take it to an apple vendor for them to test/reinitialize for you.

Bug when pressing the next button

After I upgraded to 8.0 when I press the next button the player stops and I have to press play again.

This is a simple solution, but this behavior also occurs if you happen to not have all the little boxes next to the songs checked. You can select all, and check them all with one fell swoop.

Mail freezes when press the attachment button

I first realized that my MailTab Pro for Gmail app would freeze for about 10 seconds when I press the paperclip button. So then thought it maybe had to do with a setting for mail. So I went throught the whole drama of setting up Mail (apple mail), and then tried pressing the attachment button on an email I tried to compose and that too would freeze up for 10 to 20 seconds. I cant even get to the screen to browse attachments. I can upload attachments no problem on safari or firefox in gmail. But through MailTab Pro it freezes. I have, however realized that I can drag and drop files into the mail app email that I am composing. But that is a frustrating way to browse files. Anyways, wasted my whole day trying to figure this out and was hoping somebody might know how to help me out. Would be really appreciated.

Doesnt seem like anybody had any similar problems to me, but if you do have a similar issue even with apple mail or any imap attachment issues I figured out the solution.
This solution solved both my mail attachment problem as well as my cpu overheating issue as well. On this thread read the post from James Hunkins.

How do I get a VI to run just by pressing the "Enter" Button?

I am developing a user app and dont want to have a menus, just a dialog box that runs when opened and then runs everytime the user presses "Enter". How do I do this?

My additional thought is that you really want to make menus of your own. Anyway for a requested behaviour you'll need a kind of menu polling.
To implement it you'll probably need vi server.
This can be implemented using while loop in a vi server. This server should poll boolean or enter key of the keyboard and then run menu-dialog vi. There are several ways of achieving this goal globally through the whole application.
One is to use boolean button in each vi(even not seen in a front panel bounds and not connected to any nodes). These booleans could be controlled using references, opened in vi server. This is needed if you want to get your menu dialog appearing independently of the current focus of the ap
plication (no matter which vi front panel is current).

But this has underground and your menu will make user angry: each time hi'll press enter, hi'll get your dialog.

How to get current row value from table when press the submit button

I want to get the current row value of SuccessionPlanId which is one of the column in a advanced table.
I created one button (created using personalization, action fired thru CO)in the table as column, so each row having one button, if i press the first row's button means then i want to fetch the first row's SuccessionPlanId and if it is 3rd means then i want to get the value of third row's value.
How to do it in controller extension?

Yes, I tried with 'delete' button which is seeded one.
For this, our code using row reference is working too fine. it throws exact SuccessionPlanId value of corresponding row.
I created MessageStyledText, but here i need to give text value right, then only it 'll appear in the page.
Instead i created one image and fired explicitly from the controller processRequest method.
But the same problem remains..

If i run the page using this controller, it throws exception without any value, because for 'succIdI' i initialized without any string.
Can you please suggest me how to solve?
