Runtime Autoincrementor sequence
I am currently facing 2 problems::
1>>
In my backend, i want to make a trigger which say,
On insert of a record...
creates an autoincrement sequence ..ie initialise
2>>
another trigger::
On insert of a record...
increment the autoincrement sequence tht was created earlier
These 2 triggers work on different tables (FYI)
Now how can i make the auto increment sequence which is set up and initiliased at run time in a trigger at the backend??
PS:- I am using Oracle 10g
Pls do not crucify me fr posting this query here in this section..:D
Thanks
Oracle provide some thing called Sequence for this purpose but it is not recomended to create the Sequence which is a Database Object (In Oracle Vocabulary) so the creating of a Sequence is a DDL command and that will result in commiting of all the instructions that was executed earliar.
So you will loose the rollback option for the record which has ben inserted

Runtime flow sequence of receiver or interface determinations is based on
There is interface whose message flows as mentioned below.
System A <=> System B <=> System c
BPM: Receive -> sync send 1 -> sync send 2 -> async send
System A sends the sync message to System B, System b response as request to System c and System C
response as response to System A
Receiver/interface determinations:
i: RD/ID: System A to IP
ii: RD/ID: IP to System B (Operation mapping from IP to System B)
iii: RD/ID: IP to system C (Operation mapping from IP to System C)
No conditions in Receiver/interface determination
My query is how IE determines after i:RD/ID execution it should go to ii/iii: RD/ID ?
Is it based on Message interface(Message type) i.e Receiver IP message interface should be similar to sender
IP message interface ?
Otherwise based on the sequence of creation of RD/ID in Configuration scenario ?Source Mesage interface in 2nd RD/ID is not dependent on previous target Message interface of RD/ID. Both interfaces can be any message interfaces ?
So you are asking me if it's possible - then I would say yes.
Let consider this - You have received a message in the BPM and this message has to be called on two different systems synchronously. In this case Both the synch step will have the Source interface as the message received in BPM correct? Does the 2nd Synch step Source Interface is dependant on 1st Synch step Target Interface? - NO.
I hope it clears a bit.
I'm not understanding your other question... -
How to use a user sequence library
Hi all,
I am building up an increasimng set of sequence modules that might be handy in a kind of toolbox library for later re-use. How is this best be accomplished?
AppNote157 states, that I should '... isolate non-product-specific operations in a callback or the process model...' But how do I accomplish this, how do I test 'em and access 'em from my target sequence?
Having my own process model open and trying to start a new 'tools' sequence results in runtime errors, because this very same sequence is the process model AND taget sequence. Trying to build a simple test.seq that tries to call such a sequence within the actual process model (my individual one) results in runtime errors - sequence not found.
How do you organice your
code?
Any enlightening will be appreciated!
TIA and
Greetings from Germany!
-- UweHi again,
I'd like to answer my own Q's at least in parts:
1. One may add tools to the process model file. Always use your individual process model file to do so.
2. Do not test it from within the process model file! Test it from a client sequence as you would with the target sequence file when running your sequences.
3. One has to add the process model file path in quotation marks and with doubled backslashes (as typical in many programming languages, where a single backslash acts as a break to enter binary data).
One also has to add the tool sequence name (the one to be called within the process model) in quotation marks.
Somehow anoing, isn't it? Instead of an easy way to access library sequences one has to do lots of typing and/or copying&pasting :-(((
I'll try t
o acces the process model file path programmatically and put this one into a station global to ease the access to it.
Probably these tools sequences can also be shifted to an extra sequence as some of NIs own sequences do. For instance the process model sequences call diverse sequences from 'Modelsupport.seq' and 'reportgen_XML.seq'.
So there is a way to have a user sequence library, but it seems it is either not intended to organize one's code this way or NI uses better techniques that I have not yet found.
TIA and
Greetings from Germany!

Changing an object properties doesn't effect the view.
Hello, I've have an object (instance of a class that extends CustomNode), this object contains a sequence of other objects (also extends CustomNode) that are presented in application view. When in application runtime this sequence of objects changes (the new sequence is ok, according to System.out.println..., the filter works well) the view acts strange. The new set that is shown in app window is exact negation of the sequence that corresponds to the current object state (the objects that didn't pass the filter are presented).
here is a sketch of code:
public var messageStorage : MessageSet = MessageSet {
messages: [
.....some data
public var currentMessages : Message[] = messageStorage;
public class MainWindow extends CustomNode {
var messageSet: MessageSet = MessageSet {
messages: bind currentMessages;
public function myAction(key: String) {
currentMessages = messageStorage.find(key);
override function create() {
Group {
content: [
messageSet
public class MessageSet extends CustomNode {
public var messages : Message[];
public function find(key:String) : Message[] {
var newSet : Message[];
for (msg in messages) {
if (..some conditions...) {
insert msg into newSet;
return newSet;
override function create() {
Group {
content: [
messages
public class Message extends CustomNode {
public var text : String;
public var from : String;
.... some other code...
override function create() {
Group {
content: [
Rectangle {
}In MainWindow when I print out the messageSet before and after performing myAction(key), everything is ok, but the view in Group content[] is corrupted and shows the messages that weren't added to to newSet in MessageSet find() function.
Anybody has an idea what's wrong? Thank You.I don't think there is an "object touchup tool".
Adobes help for Adobe Acrobat X Standard says:

I'm beginning to believe there is a bug in the resizing function. -
Crystal Reports Runtime 13 not found in sequence on App-V 5.0 SP2 Hotfix 5 client
My application uses a VFS installation of Crystal Reports Runtime 13. (i.e., the path to CR13 isn't specified as the Primary directory during sequencing, as my app uses that particular path)
On a test VM with an old App-V client (5.0.285.0) the application launches and can locate CR components successfully.
However, when we upgrade to the latest App-V client (SP2 HF5) the application fails to find CR.
The original application was sequenced with App-V 5.0 RTM (5.0.285.0). I've re-sequenced the app with the latest sequencer (SP2 HF4) but the error persists.
There is literally nothing in the Event Log and the app doesn't appear to report the error to Windows (it pops up a UI message saying CR 13 can't be located).
Procmon doesn't show anything meaningful, although I could have missed something whilst trawling through 16,000 lines of processes.
I enabled all App-V logs and nothing relating to an error can be found there.
I tried disabling DEP and following other advice in this earlier thread:
virtualizing-business-objects-crystal-reports-pro-110
OS: Windows 7 SP1, patched up to date.
App-V client: 5.0.3404 (SP2 Hotfix 5)
Anyone seen an issue like this?
I'm about to open a case with Microsoft Support, just thought I'd ask here first.
Regards.Hi.
We raised a support ticket with Microsoft and with their help, found that the path length to the VFS installation of Crystal Reports was the issue.
I created an MST (btw, Crystal Reports MSI has numerous directory and registry entries that don't use best practice, so this took a while..) to reduce the path lengths.
As to why the RTM version of the client works (from our Microsoft support engineer):
"Regarding the “why”, between RTM and the next versions, lots of issues were corrected.
In this particular situation, the issue was related with the fact that the application stopped extending the buffer. Probably what happened was that a COM or Object Bug was corrected between RTM and SP2 and this had a negative effect on the application. What
this means is that, in fact, the application was not supposed to work in RTM as well, due to buffer being extended."
So in summary, if you have an application with a particularly long path structure, you may need to re-sequence for the SP2 version of the client. -
About runtime sequence creation and view dare pre commmit.
Dear All,
My 2 New Question are:
1)Could Oracle suggest to create sequence(DDL) from run-time.That means I need(My client requirement) regenerate of sequence(I know it is possible by cycle but i don't know MAX value when it will cycle)as monthly or a specific time so I want to drop sequence and create sequence by a)Programmetically runtime
b) Oracle scheduler runtime .
Have any good and better Idea? Any risk factor?
Note that at a time possibly more than 100 users will data entry with our software.
2)My New query is Could I view table data which was not yet COMMITTED from other session-other user.

Is there any way to identify the runtime sequence of the execution of triggers in the form ?
Also is there a place where the default (template) sequence of execution for forms triggers can be found ?There is no single place where you can read about all the triggers and the order in which they fire I am afraid. The order is not very well defined either since the events that happen are not known in every instance.
The help topic called Navigational Triggers holds some relevant information and there are other topics as well that would add to your knowledge about this topic.
I would suggest that you test out the order by setting up the scenario that you would like to know the sequence about and then put a message() call in each trigger you want to know about and observe the sequence in the status bar. -
Cannot reach com.sun.javafx.runtime.sequence package from Java
Hello!
I'm trying to create JavaFX sequence from Java code, because creating sequences with large amount of data (more than 10000 elements) seems to be quite inefficient in JavaFX (leastwise takes almost a minute(!) when using insert ... into ...).
The problem is that I get the following error message when trying to use SequenceBuilder from Java:
{color:#ff0000}+Compiling 1 source file to C:\Users\Ákos\Documents\NetBeansProjects2\PolylineProba\build\classes+
C:\Users\Ákos\Documents\NetBeansProjects2\PolylineProba\src\polylineproba\ArrayBuilder.java:11: package com.sun.javafx.runtime.sequence does not exist
import com.sun.javafx.runtime.sequence.*;
+1 error+{color}
The sample code is very simple:
{color:#333399}+package test;+
import com.sun.javafx.runtime.sequence.*;
+public class ArrayBuilder {+
+}+{color}
This is strange as the code completion sees all classes inside the mentioned package, but the compiler doesn't.
Does anyone have an idea, why? (I'm using Netbeans 6.1 with JavaFX SDK preview 1.0.)
Thanks,
AkosHello!
Normally you don't need to know the exact location of these files as you can add them to the project by adding a library. To do this in Netbeans: right click on the Libraries in the project tree and choose Add library. Then you should see JavaFXUserLib.
If not then find and add them manually to the classpath:

Differences between TestExec and Sequence Editor for LabView7.1 runtime?
Hello,
My sequence runs perfectly in the Sequence Editor using the LabVIEW 7.1 runtime engine adapter and the dev adapter.
However when I try it using full featured TestExec.exe (the supplied LabVIEW user interface) it gives the common
'VI is not executable' error for one of the steps if I have the runtime adapter chosen.
It works when the dev adapter is selected.
The step that gives the error has no broken arrow - and as I mentioned,
it works in the Sequence Editor with the same runtime engine adapter.
The search paths are identical.
Is there anything special I should know about TestExec.exe?
I am at a loss on this one - any ideas?
TestStand 4.2.1, LabVIEW 2009, LabWindows/CVI 2009Hi believer,
I think you have to rebuild the testexec.exe with labview 7.1.
Copy the NI folders to the User folder. You will find all the source VI's and the build file for the application builder as part of the file set.

Runtime error in process model and sequence still passes
I am doing some custom initialization in the process model (in the ProcessSetup callback). I call a .NET module that may throw an exception under certain error conditions. This causes the the process model to jump to the Cleanup section of the process model (not the client sequence file cleanup) and that's okay. The problem I have is that in my UI I am getting the AxAppMgr_ExecutionEnded event and the e argument's exec.ResultStatus property indicates "Passed". I want it to indicate "Error" or "Incomplete" or something other than passed. The client sequence never ran at all. While it had no failures, it could not have passed.
How do I force the status to be "Error" or something other than "Passed"?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Ryan,
I am just getting back to this. Thanks for the response.
I have my own sequence that gets called from ProcessSetup in the process model. That sequence sets up some station global variables for me including some Object References. One of the object references is a .NET object used to read a file. If that file does not exist, then the .NET object throws an exception which results in TestStand presenting a dialog with the error message and options about what to do next. I don't want our technicians getting that dialog box so I changed the Station Options to "Run Cleanup" on Run-time error.
The process model jumps to its Cleanup section when the run-time error is received.
Does that give you the information you need?
Incidentally, I am able to look at the e.exec.ErrorObject in the AxAppMgr_EndExecution event handler and I can see the error as suggested by Doug above.
Thanks. -
I am try to reuse my labview vis in VB enviroment. I would like to call a sequecne of vi from VB just like in LV with Call By Reference. This is a production enviroment, only Labview runtime engine installed in the computer. I realize that I can call labview exe file from VB, but then I have to compile every vis (more than hundreds) and have to reference every vis servers in VB.
Actually, the runtime engine can run any VI--not just ones built into an application. The problem will be getting data in and out of the functions.
If you have much of the code already written in LV why are you messing around with VB? Wouldn't the easiest solution be to write the entire application in LV? Just wondering.

How to jump from sequence file to another in runtime
Hello,
I have a report_xls.seq which generates the report in Excel compliant format. If something abnormal happens, the execution halts and all the measured data will disappear. In case of error I would like to put the measured data instead to ascii report using the report_txt.seq file.
The "TestReport callback" sequence call step is in a SequentialModel.seq file. That sequence calls sequences in respective report format files, like report_txt.seq and in my case report_xls.seq. What is the simplest way to return to TestReport callback in SequentialFile.seq, change the report format and put the data to that report format according to report format sequence file ?
Regards,
PetriCould you include both sequences in your TestReport Callback and control which sequence is executed using PreConditions. A possible check for your PreCondition might be RunState.SequenceError.Occurred.
Regards
Steve

Update locals and limits in the runtime sequence
Hi All!
I'm trying to update locals:
Engine my_egine = axApplicationMgr.GetEngine();
SequenceFile seq_file = my_egine.GetSequenceFileEx(seq_file_path, TypeConflictHandlerTypes.ConflictHandler_UseGlobalType);
Sequence seq = seq_file.GetSequenceByName("MainSequence");
seq.Locals.SetValString("strTextBox", 0, "my new string");
string str = seq.Locals.GetValString("strTextBox", 0);
MessageBox.Show(str);
I see "my new string" in message box but in the sequense the text is "Hello World".
As i understand there are run time and edit types of sequence. How can i get run time sequence?Hi John,

Runtime Errors CONVT_NO_NUMBER
Exception CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER
Occurred on 09/29/2005 at 14:33:21
Unable to interpret "04:" as a number.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "ZVXR0303" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception will be dealt with in more detail
below. The exception, assigned to the class 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBER', was
not caught, which
led to a runtime error. The reason for this exception is:
The program attempted to interpret the value "04:" as a number, but
since the value contravenes the rules for correct number formats,
this was not possible.
How to correct the error
Integers are represented in ABAP using a sequence of digits and, in some
cases, a preceding sign.
The system offers the following options for displaying floating point
numbers:
[mantissa]E[sign][exponent]
[whole number part].[fractional part]
e.g. -12E+34, +12E-34, 12E34, 12.34
If the error occurred in one of your own programs or in an SAP program
that you modified, try to correct it yourself.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"CONVT_NO_NUMBER" CX_SY_CONVERSION_NO_NUMBERC
"ZVXR0303" or "ZVXR0303"
"START-OF-SELECTION"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
following documents to SAP:
1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
part.
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.

Adobe Media Encoder CS4 runtime error
I am wondering why I am getting a runtime error while
attempting to use Adobe Media Encoder CS4...As soon as I launch
Adobe Media Encoder CS4, it crashes I have installed and
reinstalled Flash a couple time, to see if this corrects the
problem, which it doesn't, and just last week it was working
fine...Does anybody have a ideal what is going on?Don't know if this helps anyone else, bt the runtime errors i have been getting occur when I try to build and burn a blu-ray file. And they happen intermittently. In fact, on this project, I had burned several test blu-rays without difficulty. When I made one minor change on the penultimate version, and tried to burn again, the system crashed with a run time error. Then it crashed 9 more times over the course of the week.
Finally in frustration, I created an interim ISO file in Encore- ie in the build workstream, i selected burn an image file rather than burning a blu-ray disk. After this intermediate step completed, i then did a separate burn in encore but burned from the image file. No snags.
Not sure why but this program has trouble doing a sequence of activities. As it is, I already render and save the file before burning. Now I have another interim step to create an image file before burning.
In my next hardware change, I am going to switch to make Mac and Apple software. Enough of MS Windows and Adobe, the GM and Chrysler of the software industry. Hopefully what my friends tell me is true; that Apple stuff actually works.
