SA520w ProtectLink Gateway activation issue

Below are my problem statement:
1. i had been register the ProtectLink Gateway at TrendMicro website. Now i receiveing the activation code with me.
My problem is i never receive the additional activation email for me to proceed on configure the IMHS web portal.
2. during the registration, i didn't provide my domain name and IP address of my WAN port. But still, i never receive the post-registration email for this. Now i need to get the MX record then forward to local ISP to configure over their DNS.
3. anybody who the escalation channel? i raise case in trend micro but seem no reaction from them (i register since 8th march 2011, it's over 80hrs ++)

exactly same as my case but even i did hardware reset with correct time zone & everything, problem still can't be solved. Re-generate the license from TrendMicro and get problem solved at the end. I can understand the point for factory default but when the box deployed in client site that'll be difficult for reseller to perform factory default. We trust & rely on Cisco but outcome is un-expected. I strongly suggested support to generate license for me in day but they insist in factory default even I'm very sure all setting are correct in box already.
I found lots of post regarding SA500 series issues and I can't believe Cisco SMB products are even worst than China & Taiwan products nowadays.

  • RV042 Protectlink Gateway Major Issues

    So to start I have the latest firmware on the device. 1.3.12.19.  When we have the URL Filtering and or the web reputation enabled it brings the internet down to a crawl.  We have scanned all system for viruses/malware and all 6 pc's are clean.  We are peer to peer and no servers. I've done speedtest with the service disabled and the speedtest are normal but when I enabled either url filtering or web reputation or both it kills the internet.
    The logs are saying the url cache is full.
    Warning! ProtectLink URL queue is almost full (80%) now. URL blocking might occur3
    ProtectLink URL queue is empty now.
    We will see those over and over again.  When we trialed this service it did not behave this way but as soon as we activated a full licenses it's started.  I've created a ticket and both Trend and Cisco have little experience with their own product is what I'm gathering or the two techs I've worked with are not up to speed which may be the case.
    We could really use some help on this since we are running a business have paid for this service.

  • ProtectLink Web Activation

    I went through the install procedure outlined in the ProtectLink Gateway install manual and i activated the ProtectLink Web product through Trend Micro (which shows up through their web site as a registered product to me). It still doesn't show up as installed on the SA540 (under Administration/License Management screen). When I try to activate the product again, it shows as "Already registered". Trend has no idea why it won't work. They said Cisco sold the license, so try their support.

  • Statistics technical content activation issue with MD process chain in BI7

    Hi,
    Let me give you history of the issue first.
    I had to activate the Statistics in BI7. I followed the SAP Note 965386 and activated the Technical Content.
    Faced activation issues in MD process chain, Content Master Data-0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01. It dint get activated, Followed the SAP note 1065919, which asked me to remove the below process from RSPC and activate it.
    Load data- Process Variant Attribute and
    Load data- Process Variant Text.
    I did the same and it got activated after removing them.
    Issue is. Later knew that manually activating the Process chain from Content would have activated those Infopackages aswell.
    Now how should I get those processes into the chain and activate? Based on your suggestions, I can let you know what all I have been trying to fix it?

    I have this issue solved. I replicated the data sources, activated those infoPackages manually and then added those variants into the process chain manually. So my MD chain now has all the necessary process.
    Now i need to schedule them and see if it runs with out any errors. I will keep this thread open till i run it to take your help if i get any errors while running them.

  • Project Centre - Active Issues and Active Risk columns always show 0

    Hello,
    We have created a number of Project Centre views to which we have added the "Active Risks" and "Active Issues" columns against projects. No matter how many active issues or risks a project has, these columns are always showing 0 for each
    and every project.
    The reminders web-part on the PWA home page, and the Issues and Risks page (/PWA/IssuesAndRisks.aspx) correctly show these counts for a user, but Project Centre does not show the values correctly for projects.
    We have not changed the values in the "Status" column of either list - they're still the default "(1) Active", "(2) Postponed" and "(3) Closed".
    All issues and risks are correctly promoted to the reporting database on publish or when a list item is added/updated/deleted etc.
    Our environment was upgraded from Project Server 2010 to Project Server 2013 and we're running service pack 1.
    If not now, when?

    There fields don't actually work, if you want to see the active risks or active issues per projects in a summary row, create a report from the Reporting schema in the Project Web App database.

  • Activation issue // Connection problem

    Since yesterday morning I have been facing with an activation issue. I have been using the same Master Collection CS 5.5 for more than 1 year now and yesterday I had an error that I have never saw before.
    "!We are unable to activate CS5.5 Master Collection Subscription Edition
    Product activation is required to use this product
    You must have a working internet connection to activate this product. Please check your connection settings and choose try Again!"
    I have checked my hosts file under the system and it is clean. I am also able to connect to all adobe servers. So I can assure you that my connection settings are perfectly working.
    When I install Master Collection CS 5.5 it is only working with Photoshop now. However, if I attempt to open any other one like Illustrator, the activation screen coming up.
    Yesterday, I had a conversation with Customer Service here in Chat again. They have mentioned about using multiple accounts might cause this problem. They have canceled one of the accounts and said this issue will be solved within 24hr. So it is almost 24hr and the second day of my working business that I cannot use the prior software to run my business.
    Can you please check out the same issue repeated on someone else's case. So you guys can save time to help me.

    Smart2011 I would recommend reviewing Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html for possible causes of connection errors.  The host file is one possible cause but software firewalls can also be another.  There are also other solutions available within the referenced document.

  • Windows 7 - Continuous redeployment time/activation issues

    I have about 9 classrooms that have from 10 to 25 computers in each along with 30 laptops for offsite use in which the software installed on them changes almost daily depending on what class is being taught. Currently we have been using Comodo Time Machine
    on the laptops and previously on the desktops although we are using windows deployment server on the desktops now. My issue is that every time we reimage the systems we are running into activation issues. This system was put into place before I got here and
    am trying to find the right direction to head into. It looks like the current windows deployment images sysprepped so that is why they are coming overdue right out of the gate. We do have licensing through the Microsoft Partner Network although im awaiting
    access. Staying in the trial zone of the install is what they have been trying to do although the image was not properly configured and is out of date once its put on the system and the black screen comes up. Comodo is quick but lacks the ability to stay current
    and only allows for a set amount of images due to space and can lack uniformity. A fast re-image speed would be beneficial but the speed of the deployment server has been working since I start it the day before for the next class. To me it seems like I should
    fix the image on the deployment server and see where that takes me. Does anyone have any experience of this type of setup or know any other options?

    Based on my understanding, you want to auto activate the Windows during the deployment, right?
    If yes, What's the type of your license?
    If you have KMS server, you don't need do any thing.
    If you have MAK license, you cannot set input the key in answer file to activate.
    In addition, what the deployment tool did you use?

  • CS3 activation issue

    I had CS3 on an old back up machine..it had issues and wiped out some of the adobe program.  Reloaded software and now i cannot activate as i cannot get anyone at adobe to give me a code...this old machine is not on line.  I was on live chat and they are stumped.

    for all the users out there that have issues with thier new i4s having:
    dropped calls
    no SMS
    no Network
    Activation Issues
    MultiSIM issues
    etc.
    You guys must DISABLE your SIM PIN!
    I know this is not the best thing to do, but until Apple fixes this, this is the only solution right now!

    Truth of the matter is ATT was not ready for this. I was ready to turn in my 3G
    and go back to my old iPhone when a tech rep at Apple told me to turn off
    3G. I went from full bars at home to only one when 3G was on and all of my
    calls were getting dropped. After the rep told me this I replied, "excuse me?
    You mean the reason I bought the new iPhone, so I can talk and email at the
    same time on the 3G network, is not even doable yet?" He replied that they've
    been telling customers to turn off the 3G and then the phone would work fine -
    which it did. Now I just keep it on the edge network and hope that one day the
    3G network will be up to speed and I live in LA! So give it a shot and turn off 3G.

  • RAID array activation issue in CS2 & XP

    Yes, I still have CS2, which I love, as well as Production Studio. I have used CS2 for years with a RAID array, first striped and now a mirror. The mirror array lasted about 10 months until the motherboard went. eVGA replaced the motherboard with the same model, I fiddled around a bit trying to get my same array up and running, I couldn't figure it out and ended up doing a reinstall (after a couple of weeks of running single drives). Anyway, I keep having to activate my Adobe Suites. I have talked to people (thick accents, maybe in India) three times now; takes a lot of time. I know that there is an issue with CS2 and RAID (XP and CS2 have all of their available updates). I tell them I have RAID. I ask for a patch to avoid the activation issue. I have been told that I "should not be using RAID", that I will "have to reactivate every time I boot" and that I won't be able to run this "without upgrading to CS4". I KNOW that this configuration will work, because it has worked in the past. I vaguely remember a patch when I originally installed.
    I just called the Tech Support number, instead of the activation number. I also got someone with a thick accent who told me that he had no support available for CS2. He wouldn't give me a phone number to call, I asked about a patch and he "doesn't support CS2", end of discussion. He suggested the website. Ugh!
    I am not locked out at this time, but have just done another reactivation. I suspect Adobe will put a stop to repeat activations. I worry about being locked out when I am under the gun trying to finish something. My son is working on a school project for the end of year right now. What can I do? Does anyone know where I can find a patch or talk to someone who will help a CS2 user?
    I LIKE my RAID array. I know that my data is perfectly backed up at all times. I would prefer not to have to break the RAID array into single drives. I chose this MB because of the RAID capability.

    Thanks Bob. I asked to speak to a supervisor with calls two and three to India, or wherever. One lady said they didn't have a supervisor and then said, well, of course we have supervisors, but they will not be able to help. I guess I could have thrown a fit, but neither was willing to connect me to a supervisor even though I asked. I did find it amusing (in a sad way) that the one lady initially denied that she had a supervisor.
    I then called Customer Support (call number four) and they simply wouldn't talk to me. They don't deal with CS2, didn't want to talk to me at all.
    I guess I'll try India again, next time it locks me out.
    I'll go through old files (again) to see if I saved some kind of patch.

    The SA500 doesn't use AD for the content filtering.
    The filtering is at the systems level today.

  • Reinstall protectlink gateway licenceon new hardware

    All,
    For some weeks now I tried to get a VPN client on Mac osx working with the SA520W (firmware 1.1.65). Last attempt I tried was IP securitas. I can't  get it to work. Even worse: with my previous attempt with a normal Cisco VPN client I got the box completely frozen (reboot) , after  the last attempt the WAN port is no longer usable, even after removing all VPN policies and of cource some reboots. This box is finished: I will try to recover it, because besides VPN the Trendmicro gateway, firewall and IPS  the system does the job, allthough the quality and stability of the firmware is not what you expect from a Cisco device. For VPN I will divert to other (working) solutions.
    To get everything working I installed new hardware, but now I have to get the IPS and protectlink licenses working on the new hardware. Protectlink installation in the licence admin menu gives a link tot the trend Micro site. Both registration and activation keys give invallid responses. Trend micro helpdesk refers to Cisco support.
    Anyone has experience in reactivation of these licences on new hardware ?

  • NDS Gateway Active Sync Listing All users on each poll

    When Sun Identity Manager 6.0 sp1 runs an active sync poll event with the NDS Resource Adapter against the Gateway the following behaviour is exhibited within both the customer environment and the Lab environment.
    The Gateway will list all the users using the Novell Client, even users who have not had their modification timestamp updated since the last poll.
    The Gateway will then return the relevant users to the Sun Identity Manager application. Using the Search Parameter modification timestamp as can be seen below.

    This is causing the Synchronisation process at the customer to take much longer than necessary. Every time Sun Identity Manager polls the resource all the users are listed within the gateway service.
    Can you please confirm if this is the expected behaviour? Or should the gateway only be listing users that have been updated since the last poll event.

    Their is an issue with the NDS adapter. Contact Sun support, they have an appliance that can be installed to rectify.
